Default That Summer - V.4

Once again this is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, kept ever so strong and alive by it's loyal RPers. As the title says, this is version (4) four, the first three threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

OOC: Pillsbury Dough Boy! *poke, poke* Hehe, Yes I'm the Pillsbury Dough Girl!!!!

And you mean like...Ferris has said something like that before? Yeah, totally!

"I'm pretty sure it's not, gem," the boy said with the warmest of smiles as Vianna informed him that it was the other way around, that he made it harder to leave. Ferris watched her for another moment with a warm smile, admiring her pretty blue eyes, before he let out a soft sigh and gave a weak chuckle. "Alright, I'm actually leaving now," he decided, pecking her lips before reluctantly releasing her waist and heading over towards the window with his broom.

ooc: Okay, yet another name to add to the list.
No I mean this line specifically "breaking apart to let his dark brown eyes flutter open and see Vianna standing before him, looking pretty, again. "You make it hard to leave, you know that, gem?""
Like word-for-word, I swear I've-- ugh... okay forget it... must've been some weird deja vu or something...

Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris denied that it was him who was making it difficult for them to separate, before he then announced that he would really be leaving this time. The girl's smile faded slightly but she nodded her head understandingly, returning the peck kiss he placed on her lips before he left her side to head over to the window instead. "Thirty minutes!" she reminded the boy before he left, her blue eyes watching him.

OOC: Yes another nickname!
And.... I'm not sure, I bet I have! I can't remember specifically it word for word, but that's pretty awesome that you remember!

Ferris turned around at the window as the girl reminded him that he had thirty minutes to get back, a soft smile falling onto his pale features at the sight of her. "You can time me," he assured her before hopping on his broom and zooming out the window. He let out a soft sigh, still not entirely thrilled to be leaving her, before heading back to the nearest floo hub to go back home.

ooc: Meh.
Okay now it's frustrated me. Dammit. I need to go through every page in this thread 'til I find it or I won't live in in peace!! >.<

Vianna beamed as the boy assured her she could time him, and once she was gone, she headed out the doors of her room and into the hallway, then walking down the curved staircase into the foyer and then into the dining room. Her parents were already there, and to her surprise, so were Vince and Victor. It seemed they had come to say goodbye to the girl, as chances were they weren't going to see her again in person for a while, or at least for however long Fervi decided to travel around Europe.

OOC: Awww noooo Dee don't do that!

Ferris arrived at the Vincenzi home nearly exactly thirty minutes later, appearing outside with his bags just a quarter after nine. After having had a good breakfast with his parents (who had nearly made him gag by their mushiness), the boy had apparated over to the Vincenzi house just a couple minutes early. But he rang the doorbell anyway, rather anxious to be at Vianna's side once more. That sounded bad, and horribly clingy, but that was just how it worked with them. Ever since he'd met her a year ago they'd been inseparable, and when he met her, he felt like he'd found a missing piece of himself. And now, whenever they parted either for thirty minutes or thirty days, he felt like a piece of him was missing.

ooc: This is the closest I could find to a twin. But I'm sooo sureee there's one that's even more similar. Grrr. If I don't find it then forget it. It was deja vu.

As was usual, Costa was the one to open the door that morning when Ferris rang the doorbell. "Welcome, Signor Ferris," she greeted politely, bowing her head at the boy as she opened the door wide enough to let him in. And only a couple seconds later, Vianna walked into the foyer, obviously having known who was at the door when the doorbell echoed through the home. She had the brightest of smiles on her face, and it only widened at the sight of Ferris. "Professor!" She nearly ran over to him, hugging the boy tightly as if she hadn't seen him in ages. And that was exactly the impression the other four Vincenzis got as they came into view, though they kept a distance from the couple. "You kids all ready to go, then?" asked Mr. Vincenzi, able to read the excitement radiating from the younger pair.

OOC: LMAO That was pretty impressive of you, Dee to find that! But I need to make Ferris think some new stuff, cuz that's pretty sad if you recognize it that easily!

"Thanks Costa," the boy said politely, giving her a brief nod of his head and a small smile as he entered the home. Mere seconds later, Ferris looked up as a 'Professor!' filled the air, only to see Vianna running towards him with that grin on her face. He gave a warm smile, quickly wrapping his arms around her in a tight hug as she practically collided into him. "Hey there gem," he murmured with a soft chuckle, picking her up off her feet easily. It was then that another voice filled the room, asking if they were ready, and he turned to see Vianna's parents and two brothers in the hallway, watching them. The boy gave a sheepish chuckle, gently setting Vianna back on her feet and instead just taking her hand with a warm smile evident on his face. "Yeah...I think we're ready," he said, brown eyes sparkling.

ooc: LOL!!!!!! HAHAHA!!
Nooo IDK I just had like some super weird deja vu with that post, for some reason as I was reading it I could've sworn there had been another post exactly like it before... -sigh- Ah well.

Mrs. Vincenzi smiled warmly at the sight of the two kids reuniting after what she assumed must've been a pretty long absence, but little did she know the pair had been together only thirty minutes ago and had been spending every night together for the past month. "Well in that case, I--"

"Vi, are you sure you don't want me to go?" interrupted Vince. But of course, the idea of a trip all around Europe sounded like a dream to the boy! All the different girls, none of them aware of his reputation! Oh, all the snogs he could get... (Of course that was the only thing that had the boy wanting to go, he didn't care for sightseeing or learning new cultures).

"I'm sure, Vince!" Vianna replied, rolling her eyes at her brother. But he'd been a nuisance ever since he learned about the trip, nagging her to take him along, assuring her that he wouldn't bother her and Ferris. But she knew bringing one of her brothers would only cause trouble.

Mrs. Vincenzi sighed. "Vince, that's enough. You can go on a trip with your brother if y--"

"What?! If I ever go on a trip he's the last one I'm taking with me!" said Victor, a bit wide-eyed that his mother would even suggest this. But Vince was like a child, and Victor had no patience to be babysitting him on what should be a relaxing and calming trip. It was bad enough Vince was freeloading off him, living with him, and causing trouble at the resort by flirting with the guests' daughters, all of which of course in the end reflected poorly on Victor himself.

"Alright, alright, that's enough out of you two," said Mr. Vincenzi before returning his attention to the couple. "You two remember to be safe over there, eh? Don't talk to strangers" - as if they were kids - "And don't accept any 'gifts' from anyone you don't know. Make sure you don't go anywhere too isolated, y'know thugs are always going after the tourists," and the man went on and on for a few more minutes before finally concluding his speech, "Have a good time, eh? And bring back some souvenirs, eh?"

Vianna chuckled. "Dad!"

"And pictures!" added Mrs. Vincenzi with a grin.

OOC: BTW: I need a few minutes!

Ferris watched with amusement in his dark brown eyes as Vianna's entire family seemed to get into a large conversation, filling the room with amusing topics. But he paid a little more attention as Mr. Vincenzi addressed the couple directly, instructing them not to talk or take things from strangers, or to go in alleyways as thugs enjoyed harrassing tourists. He gave a nod to each of these with a warm, polite smile, excitement growing in his stomach along with the amusement at all of these instructions. "We'll definitely take pictures, and bring back souvenirs," he promised with a soft chuckle.

ooc: Ok! Me too, be back in 15-20.

Mr. and Mrs. Vincenzi beamed as Ferris promised them that they would bring back pictures and souvenirs for them. "Costa, please bring Vianna's luggage," instructed Mrs. Vincenzi. And, as efficient as Costa always was, she disapparated out of sight only to reappear a couple seconds later, with Vianna's bags sitting next to her on the dark wooden floors.

"Grazie, Costa," said Vianna with a smile, releasing Ferris's hand to take a step toward her parents and give them both a tight hug. And it lasted for a moment longer than necessary before the girl then moved on, now giving Victor an equally tight hug, and then finally Vince. "Ci vediamo molto presto..." said the girl softly, and the other four nodded their heads slightly, a heavy silence falling on the group for a moment before Mr. Vincenzi spoke again.

"Alright, alright! Enough with the sad faces!" he said to the group overall before turning back to Fervi. "Now, you two need to get going before you're late and they don't accept your floo tickets anymore!" he told them. "Go on, go on. We'll be seeing you very soon!" he said, nearly pushing the kids out the door. And anyone would have thought that perhaps he just wanted to get rid of them, but to Mrs. Vincenzi and the Vincenzi siblings, it was very obvious that this was only to make himself feel better, to avoid the bit of sadness that came with wishing his youngest child and only daughter a farewell, knowing that he won't see her again for who knows how long.

Ferris watched rather awkwardly from the sidelines as Vianna gathered her luggage and hugged all of her family members, saying something rather soft in Italian which appeared to sadden the entire group. He frowned slightly at this, growing rather curious as to what she said, but was distracted as Mr. Vincenzi suggested they get going before they were late and their floo tickets wouldn't be accepted. "Yeah, alright," the boy said with a small smile and a wave of his hand, turning to take Vianna's hand before starting towards the door. It was then that he paused in front of Mr. Vincenzi, studying his expression for a moment and sensing the small traces of sadness in his normally jolly expression. "I'll take care of her, I promise," the young man said with a small, warm smile. "We'll be back soon."

Vianna's blue eyes turned a little puzzled as Ferris paused right as they were about to walk out of the house, and she watched as the boy turned to her father, assuring the man that he would take care of her, and that they would be back soon. The young girl couldn't help but smile at this, her blue eyes nearly sparkling, and her father seemed to have a similar reaction.

Mr. Vincenzi nearly beamed at the boy, a cheery expression coming to his face that resembled his daughter's own cheery expressions an awful lot. "And that's why I'm looking forward to you becoming a part of this family, ragazzo," said the man, referring to the kids' marriage which would officially make the boy a part of the Vincenzi family. Mrs. Vincenzi's eyebrows rose slightly at this, as her husband had never really openly looked forward to this marriage; he was okay with it, yeah, but this was something new. And somewhere in the background Vince and Victor merely rolled their eyes. "Alright, now go on," said Mr. Vincenzi. "Don't count on me lending you any money if those tickets get cancelled!" he said, once again urging the kids out the door, though this time he seemed not to do it out of sadness but out of encouragement, encouragement toward the kids to go off on their adventure and have fun. They were still young and he just wanted his little girl to be happy, and if wandering aimlessly around Europe with her fiancé was what made her happy, then the man found it impossible not to encourage her dream.

Vianna chuckled softly and gave her parents one last hug before finally walking out the door, her hand still intwined with Ferris's while the other carried her things and a broom.

Ferris couldn't help but grin as Mr. Vincenzi told him that this was the reason he was looking forward to him becoming part of the family. He was looking forward to it?! He hadn't been expecting that, and it made his heart swell rather proudly; her father wanted him in the familiy, he wasn't just okay with the plan, he was looking forward to it. And that meant more to Ferris than he'd anticipated. He walked outside at Vianna's side, giving one last wave to the Vincenzis before the door closed and it was just the two of them. "Let's go," the boy said with the warmest of smiles before taking out his wand and apparating the both of them to the floo station.

Vianna was all smiles once they were outside, and her smile only grew as they apparated over to the slightly crowded floo hub. This was it! In only a few minutes, they would be in Amsterdam! The girl could barely believe it, and she couldn't help feeling a little antsy once they were there, eager to skip the lines and just run straight into the fireplace with a handful of floo powder. But first they had to make a line and wait, though the process really shouldn't take them more than just a few minutes.

Ferris waited anxiously in line at Vianna's side, his luggage shrunk down to fit in his pockets, leaving his hand free to hold onto hers. He smiled slightly at her as they advanced in line, obviously rather antsy as well to get there. Finally! It was just the two of them! It felt almost surreal, like this couldn't be happening, that it must've been a dream. "Vi..." he started with a small smile. "Tonight we can sleep in the same bed, without worrying who's gonna walk in. I won't have to be invisible."

Vianna was very anxiously awaiting in the line, watching the people that were disappearing into the flames and the ones that were coming out of the flames in the other fireplace, tourists just arriving into an unknown land... just like Fervi would be in only a few minutes. She was snapped out of this, though, as the boy said her name. She turned to him then, and listened as he reminded her that they could sleep in the same bed that night, without worrying about who would walk in, and he wouldn't have to be invisible. At this, the young girl beamed, positively thrilled about this and quite looking forward to it. "I can't wait, Professor!" she said, her crystal blue eyes sparkling brightly. "It'll be just you and me for months... not a soul to worry about, no papers to grade, no homework to get done!"

Ferris practically beamed as Vianna reminded him that it would just be the two of them for the next few months, without another soul to worry about, or homework to grade, or homework to complete. He grinned, admiring the expression that came to his fiancee's face with her words, "I can't wait either, Vi," he responded, leaning down to peck her lips lovingly, brown eyes sparkling at the girl. But they'd never, in all of their relationship together, had this kind of freedom. There was always something to do, somewhere else to be, someone to worry about. But now...it was just them.

Vianna returned the quick peck kiss the boy at her side placed on her lips, and her blue eyes seemed to glue on his own for a moment, though by that far-away look in them, it seemed she wasn't really looking at him exactly. She was daydreaming for a moment there, looking at scenes flashing in her mind, imagining what the next few months might be like - they might even get to celebrate their birthdays somewhere foreign! The thought of it all had the girl completely distracted, and she only seemed to snap out of it when Fervi reached the front of the line and the old woman holding the small coffer filled with floo powder asked for their tickets.

1 Year Later
Fervi Returns
-------------------------------------------

Ferris apparated from the floo station to the Vincenzi manor, his hand intwined with Vianna's as they arrived around one in the afternoon. He kissed her cheek lovingly, knowing she was probably rather excited to see her family once again after their long trip. They hadn't really seen much of their families throughout the past year, they'd been a little busy visiting Greece, Amsterdam, Ireland, Germany, Spain, and a few other European countries. Ferris had honestly had the time of his life, exploring all of the new cultures with his favourite person on the planet had been...the best thing he'd ever experienced. They'd stayed at small little inns, made it a priority to try all of the indigenous foods, and stayed up all night talking and joking and reading books to one another.

ooc: "Fervi Returns" "..... with a vengeance!"

The returning scene almost mirrored Fervi's departure in the sense that Vianna was nearly bouncing in excitement. A year ago she was very excitedly leaving her home, her family, and now she very excitedly returning to her home and family. But she'd missed them, she'd missed them terribly much, more than she had ever thought it possible to miss them. It had been a whole year! And it was a little crazy to think that last time she'd seen them, she was seventeen. And now she was returning to them as an eighteen-year-old, and the boy beside her was already nineteen. It was almost surreal in a way, and she wondered how much she had missed in a whole year. It was true that she had kept in touch with her family through letters and the mirror she'd taken with her, but the conversations were never too long as both parties always had somewhere to be, something to do. "I'm nervous," Vianna confessed softly as the pair came to a halt before the all too familiar pair of heavily-carved dark wooden doors. She merely stared at them for a moment, almost a bit hesitant, before finally knocking lightly.

OOC:

Ferris gave an admiring, endeared smile as Vianna informed him that she was nervous. "Aw, don't be nervous, gem," the boy said softly, leaning forward to kiss her cheek lovingly as they waited for the door to open. "There's no reason to be." It was hard to believe that a whole year had passed, that they were both a year older now, and already nearing another birthday in just a couple months. Then he'd be twenty, and she'd be nineteen....It was really hard to believe. But it made him smile...They were a whole nother year closer to the wedding, and he'd been itching to set a date. But he was unsure if Vianna's mind was on the same thing, if she wanted to set a date or if she even wanted to talk about it. Marriage hadn't been discussed all that much over the trip, they'd been rather distracted.

Vianna turned to the boy at her side and gave him a small, warm smile, before the doors opened and to sight came a very short and thin little house-elf with large glistening eyes and pointed ears. Vianna's blue eyes widened slightly at the sight of Costa, and she felt a wave of warmth wash over her right at that moment. She'd missed her little house-elf more than she ever thought she could, and she was quick to greet the creature with a tight hug that rather flustered the poor house-elf. But even though Costa had always been treated kindly, it was in her nature as a house-elf to be a little startled when her masters treated her as an equal rather than a servant.

And only a moment later, a tall woman with long, wavy brown hair came rushing down the stairs, the brightest of smiles lighting up her tanned face, and following behind her was a short man with black hair and crystal blue eyes. "Mamma! Papà!" Vianna ran over to them, greeting the pair with the tightest of hugs that lasted for a couple moments before the older pair moved on to greet Ferris with as much enthusiasm, as if the boy was another one of their sons. "We didn't know you were arriving today!" said Mrs. Vincenzi, as the kids had decided to surprise them. "We would've gotten everybody here, prepared something -- you must be hungry, no?" asked Mrs. Vincenzi, beginning to drag the kids into the house now, ready to bombard them with questions.

Ferris gave the warmest of smiles at the sight of Vianna greeting her parents so happily, glad to see her back with them as he had began to see the weight on her back that came with not seeing her family. Before he knew it, the Vincenzi parents had moved onto him and he gave them each warm hugs with a soft chuckle emerging from his lips. Soon enough, Mrs. Vincenzi was rushing them into the house and asking if they were hungry. "Oh, no, we ate before we left," the boy answered with a warm smile. "Tapas, in Spain," he explained. It was rather funny, Ferris's scruffy face was even slightly tanned; sun-kissed, if you will.

Mrs. Vincenzi's eyebrows rose as Ferris shared with them that the pair had already eaten, in Spain! The woman, who had been leading the kids over to the dining room, changed routes then, and instead led them over to the living room. She took a seat on an armchair, and on the armchair next to it sat a rather excited-looking Mr. Vincenzi. "You kids are a whole year older than you were when you left," he pointed out with slightly raised eyebrows. He paused for a moment before turning his blue-eyed gaze over to Vianna. "Vi, did the young man here behave?" - he turned to Ferris then - "Don't think I forgot your promise, boy!"

Vianna chuckled softly. "He was great, Dad," she assured the man, amusement in her smile, but now that she was sitting here in the familiar living room of the home she had grew up in with her parents, the girl was reminded that Ferris had family as well, and that he probably wanted to see his parents as much as she had been wanting to see her own. "Do your parents know we were arriving today, Professor?" she asked him.

"Yes, we are," Ferris confirmed with a warm smile as Mr. Vincenzi mentioned that they were a whole year older now. The boy sat on the couch next to Vianna, his hand comfortably intwined with her own as he listened to her father ask if he'd been a good boy, if he'd kept his promise. He let out a soft chuckle at this, turning to look at Vianna with admiring brown eyes as she assured her father that her fiance had been great. He was snapped out of his minor daze as she asked if his parents knew they were coming home that day. "No...But I'll go visit them later," he assured her with a small smile, dimples coming into view. It would appear that the alone time had done Fervi some good, Ferris had never seemed more in love with her than he did then. Which was saying something. But his brown eyes had trouble moving away from the girl that'd filled up the past 365 days.
