ooc: Byeeee, Ruthers! :bye::glomp: Vianna smiled as Ferris shared that he was happy about the upcoming year as well, before then mentioning that Flitwick might not steal him away all day, but it was never certain with the short little Charms professor. She listened as he then went on to list some of the things he'd be doing for Flitwick, things he sounded rather excited about, and Vianna couldn't help but allow her smile to grow into a grin. She much preferred to see her boyfriend looking forward to work rather than dreading it, and her eyebrows rose as he mentioned the possibility of teaching a couple classes. The young girl lifted her head from his shoulder and met his brown-eyed gaze now, her own blue eyes a little wide. "My Professor's going to be a... Professor?!" she said with an amused but excited grin, though it soon faded and her brows furrowed slightly. "I'd better be careful, then. Girls have a thing for new, young, pale, and curly-haired Professors," she said before chuckling softly to herself and leaning forward to place a kiss on the boy's lips. And though she had been playful in that last statement, it was actually true. Just the idea of her Professor actually being one just made the boy seem all the more appealing to her; especially since teacher-student relationships were usually frowned upon (though Flitwick had allowed them to continue dating). She couldn't help it, though; it was just like Vianna to want something even more when there were risks involved. |
Ferris let out a laugh as Vianna asked for clarification if her Professor was really going to be an actual Professor, "Yes, I will...Well, rather, an assistant Professor." He let out a soft chuckle before he watched her smile fade and his own mirrored it involunarily, listening as she mentioned that she'd have to be careful as girls had a thing for new young, pale and curly-haired Professors. He let out a small laugh, "Nah, not this one," he denied with a warm smile before she suddenly leaned forward and placed a kiss on his lips. He eagerly returned the gesture, unaware of how much he loved her kisses until her lips touched his own. He kissed her sweetly for a couple moments before breaking apart and grinning, "Well, you know that there's only one Hogwarts student that I'm going to have trouble tearing my eyes away from in class." |
Vianna's lips curved into a smile as Ferris returned her kiss, completely overjoyed by the way everything was going at the moment before the boy pulled away to inform her there was only one Hogwarts student he'd have trouble tearing his eyes away from in class. At this, the young girl gave an amused giggle. "Good!" she replied with a smile, pecking the boy's lips gently. "Can we please go tell Flitwick your decision now? I don't want him to change his mind or something," she said, her forehead creasing a bit though she knew Flitwick changing his mind in such a short amount of time after spending hours with Ferris was very unlikely. |
"Yes, yes, let's go do that," the boy replied with a soft chuckle, obviously amused by his girlfriend's impatience, able to tell that she was fearing that this situation might slip through their fingers if they didn't snatch it while they could. Ferris smiled warmly at her, watching her pretty face for a moment before pecking her lips and setting her down, taking her hand into his own and intwining their fingers. Her hand felt so nice within his own as he led her away from the tree they'd been hiding behind and back towards the castle. |
Thankfully for the pair, Flitwick hadn't changed his mind about the offer he had made Ferris earlier, and he was probably just as excited as the couple was about this new job. He knew the boy was someone he could rely on and trust, someone perfect for this position. Vianna was, of course, all smiles and giggles that weekend, obviously still thrilled about the idea of her boyfriend staying at the castle. Even if it had already been a couple days since everything had been decided, she couldn't help worrying a bit every now and then that this was all too good to be true. But with the way Fervi's relationship had started - in the middle of a run-away mission from murderous kidnappers - it was only natural that she find this all so nice and simple that it rather worried her at times, made her a bit paranoid that something, perhaps a new group of kidnappers, would come along and continue adding on to the bad luck the couple had gotten so used to over the summer. But enough of worries and bad luck, it was a brand new day now - Monday, second week of classes for Vianna and first day on the job for Ferris. The young seventh year girl had never looked forward to Flitwick's class as much as she did now, and she was one of the first students to arrive to class that morning. She sat at her usual place, beside the window, and greeted her instructors politely before the teasing began from one of her friends, a redheaded Gryffindor girl sitting behind her who began passing notes to the Italian girl. But Vianna wasn't paying much attention and she'd become easily distracted merely watching Flitwick's new assistant as if he were the most interesting piece at a museum, or something of the sort. Typical schoolgirl with a crush. |
Flitwick and Ferris were both in the classroom early that morning, Flitwick standing on his normal pile of heavy textbooks behind his desk and Ferris at a smaller desk, towards the front-left of the room. He had a few folders on this new desk of his, each filled to the brim with papers and assignments that his new boss needed graded soon, and he found himself getting a little anxious for class to start. It was so nice to be back in the classroom, back where he felt most comfortable; and his day brightened even further as Vianna appeared. The boy grinned, obviously pleased to see her, and sent a small wink her way once he'd caught her eye. Was it just him or did she look completely stunning in uniform? He realized quickly that this was a very strange thing to find attractive; but he was Ferris, and strange was his usual. Soon enough, the rest of the class piled in, each eyeing the newcomer who they weren't expecting to see; not many Hogwarts classes (if any) had had teaching aids before. "Good morning class!" squeaked a Professor Flitwick from Ferris's left, a broad smile on his old face as he turned to the class he was speaking to. "Before we get started I'd like to introduce you to a good friend of mine," he gestured over towards Ferris who gave a weak, polite smile to the crowd. "Ferris Montgomery is going to be my new teaching aid! He graduated just last year, and has been most literally the top student of his year in Charms for the past seven years--every year I've had him!" the old man squeaked, though Ferris seemed to be shrinking in his seat, obviously a little sheepish about this sort of thing. "Oh, don't be modest, Mr. Montgomery," Flitwick said with a grin before turning back to the class. "Anyway, you must be wondering why he's here...Well, Ferris is here to help me with grading mainly; he'll be grading all of your assignments and papers, essays, etc. And he might even be taking a swing at teaching a few classes as well." He smiled for a moment before continuing, "He has one of the best brains for Charms I've ever seen so don't hesitate to ask him your most complicated questions, as I'm sure his mind will be able to find a solution to them." Ferris appeared to be staring at his feet, a weak smile on his face as he attempted to not be overwhelmed. He wasn't that impressive! He knew that, he was not that great....Hearing it all out loud, it sounded like a lot of work and stuff, but...No, no, he wasn't that extraordinary and it was rather awkward for the boy who never knew what to do in these situations. "Anyway, let's start class...." |
ooc: On for a little bit... :erm: Vianna couldn't help but grow completely amused as Flitwick began to introduce his new assistant, successfully managing to fluster the poor boy who seemed to shrink into his seat. She chuckled softly to herself at this, her crystal blue eyes sympathetic and endeared in a way that caught the attention of a couple fellow Gryffindors who were quick to begin teasing the girl, managing to snap her back to reality. Turning a little more serious, Vianna began to pull out her notes, ink, a quill, and her wand, ready to start taking notes and practicing charms just as Flitwick announced the class was starting. But for the young girl, the lesson was more difficult than usual this morning, not necessarily due to the new charms Flitwick taught that day, but because the girl had a difficult time concentrating. It hadn't been this difficult to concentrate during the time she had been at camp after everything had been solved with the kidnappers, but then again, back then Vianna never had her boyfriend in the same classroom as her. And now that she did, she found it difficult to really pay much attention to what Flitwick said, or to the way he waved his short little arms in the air as he performed a complex charm. By the time the short professor gave them a chance to practice the charm with their own wands, Vianna was completely clueless. Eh!? What charm were they supposed to be practicing, again? She flipped through the notes she'd taken so far, but it only refreshed her memory on what the charm did, not how it was done. The redheaded Gryffindor sitting behind her moved up a seat as everyone else grew distracted and explained the assignment to the girl. Vianna's forehead creased slightly as she listened - now somewhat distracted by her worries; this wasn't very good. She'd never been a bad student! Not that being a little lost made her a complete failure, but it was still something she wasn't used to and made her realize that though having her boyfriend around would be fun, it would also make it a bit more difficult for her to concentrate in her lessons and she'd have to work on that. |
OOC: Okay! ^_^ Ferris began grading some of the assignments that cluttered his desk, using a new quill and bright red ink and actually looking as though grading essays was a joyride for him; and it was. He loved reading essays and using a fresh quill with bright ink felt good scratching across the paper as he corrected someone's grammar usage in his neat scrawl. But before he could get too involved in his grading, he heard Flitwick call out to him (or rather squeaked). He popped his head up and listened as the stout little man instructed him to walk around the room and help whoever needed it. "Yeah, alright," the boy said, flashing him a small smile before getting to his feet and rising to his full height of 6'3. His brown eyes scattered across the room, looking for any confused faces and he immediately found Vianna's. He gave a weak, rather confused smile at the sight; since when was Vianna not good at her schoolwork? As much as he wanted to go over there and help her, he didn't want it to seem as though he was giving her too much individual attention on his first day or something. And so, he first went over to help a girl who appeared to be charming a book to fly at a wall rather than get ink to fly through the air swiftly and in a pattern. |
Vianna couldn't help but glance in Ferris's direction as the boy stood, and she gave him a small smile before he moved to the other side of the room and she returned her gaze to the girl sitting beside her. The redhead met Vianna's gaze with furrowed brows, and Vianna's expression turned a little more apologetic. "Sorry," she muttered, well-aware that it must've been a little frustrating for her friend to try to explain something when she was so distracted. The redhead shook her head slightly at the shorter girl and performed the charm Flitwick had just taught them flawlessly. "Now you try," she told Vianna with a small smile, and the young girl nodded her head in response before giving it a try with her own wand. She did quite well for a first try, actually. Until she moved her arm a little too quickly when trying to return the ink to its bottle, getting it on the hair of the boy sitting in front of her instead. Vianna's eyes widened and the redhead beside her covered her mouth to keep herself from laughing, but luckily the boy didn't seem to notice the ink now tainting his light brown hair. "Quick, try reparo!" suggested the redhead. "What? No! That's not right, there's nothing broke--" That's when Flitwick passed by asking how everything was going and the girls were quick to lie and assure the short little man that they were doing perfectly well before exchanging looks for a moment and debating on which spells to use to fix the boy's hair; they didn't want to end up doing the wrong thing and only make the problem worse. |
"So then, it's just a flick of the wrist, and then you jus--" Ferris was speaking with the blonde girl, helping her to learn this new spell, when he caught sight of Vianna and her friend across the room, looking utterly confused and...worried? Why would they be so freaked out? His brows furrowed momentarily before turning back to the blonde student he was helping. "Uh...Excuse me for a moment...Just keep practicing," he said distractedly to the girl at his side with a weak smile before heading over to Vianna's side of the room, eyebrows slightly raised. "Wha--?" it was then that he caught sight of the huge ink blotch on a boy's head in front of his girlfriend, and quickly realized what happened. "Cleansafora," Ferris murmured, pointing his wand at the back of the student's head and in moments the ink seemed to evaporate into thin air, leaving his hair completely clean (and with a fruity scent). Ferris then turned back to Vianna and the redhead at her side and gave a slightly amused, small smile. "Do you need help?" he asked the both of them, trying his best not to let his brown eyes wander to Vianna all too much as he had the habit of doing most of the time. |
Vianna and her friend had no luck coming to an agreement on which spell to use, but luckily for them Ferris arrived right at that moment and cleaned the mess they had made (well, Vianna had made) on the Ravenclaw boy's hair. The boy lifted his head from the notes he was writing as the air around him seemed to fill with a fruity scent and his brows furrowed slightly before he shrugged to himself and returned his attention to the parchment on his desk. Vianna and the redhead watched him quietly and still before relief washed over their features as their classmate seemed not to have noticed what had just happened. It was then that the older boy who'd just joined them asked if they needed help, and a small smirk fell on Vianna's redheaded friend's face. Vianna was quiet for a second - she wanted to lie, say she needed all the help in the world (though it was true she needed a bit of help with that spell), and keep the boy all to herself, but she knew that was a rather selfish thing to do when there were other kids in the room accidentally setting things on fire and accidentally hitting Flitwick with a book as they performed their spells wrong. "I think we're good," Vianna replied after a moment's silence, a small smile on her face. "Thanks, though," she added, referring to his help with that ink on her classmate's hair a second ago. The redhead beside Vianna merely rolled her eyes. ooc: I gotta go!! Be back in a few hours! |
OOC: Byyyeeee Deeeee! :bye: :glomp: Ferris listened as Vianna thought for a moment before replying that she and her friend were doing alright, thanking him for his help with the Ravenclaw's boy's hair situation. "Not a problem," he said with a small smile, though on the inside felt the same as Vianna; the urge to stay at her side. But he knew that he couldn't and other people needed his help more, and so he just gave a polite smile to the pair before walking away. Why was it so difficult to walk away from his girlfriend? She'd be there, she'd see him at all the meals and after school, but he still felt an instinctual urge to stay at her side. Nevertheless, the boy quickly headed back over to the blonde girl who was looking completely befuddled with this new spell and helped her to successfully manage the ink. |
After a couple more tries, Vianna mastered the new charm they had just learned without spilling any more ink on anyone's hair, thankfully. She felt quite proud of herself for getting it right, but it still worried her a bit that she was having such a difficult time concentrating. Either way, the young girl began to pay more attention now, not only to Flitwick but to her classmates and her surroundings. She didn't want to be accused of being distracted by her friends again, though she honestly didn't care much for their teases. |
Class soon ended, after Ferris had helped a good five students with learning this new spell Flitwick had introduced that day, and the boy returned to Flitwick's desk to speak with the short Professor. After a few minutes, and most of the class had filed out, they had finished talking with smiles on their faces and Flitwick disapparated, off to his break. Ferris returned to his desk, starting to pile his many folders into his messenger bag, giving a sweeping glance to the crowd of people leaving to see if his girlfriend might've still been in the room. |
Vianna was a little more attentive for the rest of the class, which wasn't really that long anyway, and soon enough the class was free to go. The young girl sighed; that wasn't fair! She finally had a chance to be in a class with her boyfriend, but all she could really do was see him from a distance. And now that the time to leave had come, it rather disappointed her that she couldn't hug him or give him a kiss goodbye. She was one of the last to leave along with the redheaded girl who'd been sitting beside her, and she gave Ferris and Professor Flitwick a small smile before heading out the door. "Goodbye, Professor Flitwick," she told the short little man before turning to Ferris. "Goodbye, Professor," she told him, her smile widening a bit; she used the name not as formality, but as his nickname. Though of course, neither Professor Flitwick or the girl's classmates really knew this, they just saw it as the girl being polite. And a moment later, the girl was out the door, being dragged away to the Gryffindors' next lesson before lunchtime. |
This was not fair. Not at all. There she was, standing so pretty before him with those blue eyes of hers and looking so sweet and he couldn't even hold her hand let alone give her a goodbye kiss! His brown eyes searched her bright blue ones as she approached him, a hint of longing behind his gaze as she gave him a 'bye, Professor'. He gave a small smile at this, amused by how his nickname now actually sort of applied. "Goodbye," he replied with a brief nod, watching her go before letting out a long sigh. Was there something wrong with him or did everyone have trouble not being able to get close to their significant other? He thought on this for a moment and decided that it was probably one of those mushy things that only applied to him and Vianna. He smiled slightly at the thought before swinging his book bag over his shoulder and heading out of the room, towards the Great Hall. The boy decided to spend his free period in there, correcting papers until it was lunch time and the kids started filtering in. He quickly got up from his seat at the Hufflepuff table and walked over to where he was supposed to sit (up at the head table). Oh...this was strange. It felt so strange to sit up where usually only teachers were allowed to dine, but both the Headmaster and Flitwick agreed that this would be the only proper place for him. And so, he sat at the end of the table at Flitwick's side, beginning to eat as he absentmindedly scanned the crowds. |
Vianna's following class, Potions, hadn't been any easier than Charms. Even if Ferris wasn't physically around, she couldn't help thinking about the boy. About how cute he looked grading papers and helping students, and about how unfair it was that she couldn't kiss him or talk to him normally, without having to be formal and treat each other like complete strangers. And the girl's friends were quick to notice this change; it wasn't like Vianna to be quiet and mellow during her lessons, she was usually the cheery one, making bets with everyone, planning Quidditch matches and broom races after class. Once class was over and everyone left the dungeons to head over to the Great Hall, Vianna joined the crowds and took her usual spot at the Gryffindor table. She turned toward the front of the Hall, where the Professors sat, and beamed at the sight of her boyfriend. This wasn't fair either! Why did he have to be so far away? At this thought, Vianna's brows furrowed slightly. She was still for a moment, her expression thoughtful, before pulling her book bag up onto the table and pulling out a small piece of parchment and a quill from it. She was just about to scribble a note on it, when she realized - no, that would be too risky. Everyone would see the paper making its way over to the teachers' table, the professors would notice this. Annoyed, Vianna let out a sigh and began picking at her food absentmindedly, completely oblivious to the fact that the boy in glasses sitting before her was apparently in the middle of telling her something. |
Ferris's brown eyes were shamelessly fixed on Vianna, staring at the left side of her face (all that he could see of her) and watching as she took out her bookbag to grab something before apparently deciding better of it. Oh she was so cute....His gaze scanned her expression, which seemed a little down, and his brows furrowed slightly before he took out a piece of parchment, having full intention to send a bird Vianna's way. Meet me out by the lake - 10 minutes? Oh, and stop being so pretty, you're killing me over here! the boy scribbled before sending it off from beneath the table so it was less obvious as to where it came from. He then picked up his bag, not particularly hungry (for once) and headed outside with a small smile on his face, obviously excited to see his girlfriend. He headed over to the lake, taking a seat on the grass and staring rather anxiously at the waters. |
"Vianna!" the redhead at Vianna's side suddenly said, causing Vianna to jump a bit in her seat, obviously startled. "I'm sorry, did you say something?" she asked, turning from the girl next to her to the boy before her. But they simply shook their heads at her, and when Vianna turned to a couple other familiar faces sitting in the same group, they all merely shrugged at her. Vianna's forehead creased. Oh no! Her friends hated her! She sighed at this thought, about to speak again when a paper bird suddenly landed beside her plate. Recognizing it to be one of Ferris's note birds, Vianna was quick to unfold it and read the message written inside. She grinned to herself, crystal blue eyes sparkling in a way that got the others sitting around her to roll their eyes. But they weren't necessarily upset, though they weren't happy to have lost the old Vianna either. "I'll see you guys next class, alright?" said Vianna as she turned back to them, quickly gathering her things before nearly running out of the Hall, her plate almost still full as it was left behind on the table. |
Poor Fervi couldn't be blamed for their separation anxiety; it was only natural since they had spent the last three or four months consistently at one another's side. It was their first day and they weren't that great at having separate schedules just yet. Ferris grinned as he saw Vianna coming towards him and he quickly got to his feet to greet her, overcome by a sudden urge to meet her lips with his own. Flitwick did say they could keep dating, and others could know about it as well, but they had to not...'canoodle' during class hours. Hmmm.....He quickly stole her waist, picking her up easily and quickly leading her behind a nearby tree, as though this in itself would hide them from whoever might see them. And it did do a fairly good job of that as it was a very big tree. "Hi," he murmured with a warm smile, setting her down as his brown eyes lovingly scanned her features. |
Vianna couldn't wipe the grin off her face as her crystal blue eyes met Ferris, clear joy glowing on her young face. She was just about to greet the boy, to hug him, let him know how much she had missed him, how difficult it was to be away from him, when he suddenly stole her waist and picked her up, leading her over to a nearby tree. At this unexpected transportation, Vianna fell into a fit of amused giggles until the boy carrying her set her down, allowing her feet to meet the grass. Vianna was still giggling lightly to herself as she greeted him in return, "Hello, Professor." She smiled up at him for a moment, quietly and adoringly scanning his features as he did to her, before allowing instinct to take over and placing her lips on his own, now standing on her toes as her arms wrapped around his neck and pulled him a bit lower; but even when she was standing on her toes, Ferris was still too tall for the poor girl's shorter height. |
How was it possible to miss someone so much after seeing them enough, just not being able to touch them? Was that normal? Probably not, but Ferris didn't really care as Vianna leaned up on her toes to kiss him. It felt so natural, so nice to have her lips back on his own and he gently returned the gesture lovingly, unaware of just how much he'd missed it until they were together once more. He broke apart after a few long, sweet moments and gave a smile, "I missed you," he confessed, brown eyes sparkling as he leaned his forehead against her own. They were quite the funny-looking couple; Ferris held the small girl very close to him, helping her as she stood on her tip toes, going up to her tallest height while he leaned down a good few inches, crouching down to his lowest height in order to meet somewhere in the middle. |
Vianna's blue eyes fluttered open as Ferris pulled away, a smile gracing her lips as she looked up at him with a slightly dazed expression. "I missed you too, Professor. A lot," she replied, placing a kiss on his cheek. "This is a lot harder than I expected," she added quietly, her forehead creasing a bit. "I'm happy I get to see you, of course I am, but... just seeing you isn't enough," she confessed, shaking her head slightly. She was quiet for a moment, and as it dawned on her that she would soon have to leave for her next class, she opted it was best not to spend the rest of this time whining and complaining when they were already lucky enough to even see each other. "How do you feel about your first day? Flitwick drowning you in papers?" she asked with a smile. "Hey, you wouldn't happen to know what grade I got on that essay we had to turn in last week, do you?" she added with a curious expression before chuckling, obviously just kidding. Though it would be a lie to say she wasn't actually curious to know her grades already. |
Ferris listened as the girl before him confessed that she was happy to see him, but seeing him just wasn't enough. He gave her a weak smile at this, "I know, I feel the same," he agreed softly before listening as she asked how he was feeling about the work so far, playfully asking if he would know what grade she got on an essay they had to turn in last week. He let out a soft chuckle, "I'm liking the work," he admitted with a warm smile, looking obviously happy about this. "It's kind of fun for me, I really enjoy charms and correcting essays....Is that weird?" he asked as he realized what he was saying. The boy let out a soft chuckle before continuing, "And no, I don't know what you got, actually. Flitwick still grades a small percentage of the papers and he's explained that yours will always be in that small percentage so I don't have to grade it." Ferris gave a small smile before explaining further, "He told me that he has full trust in me, but by grading your papers (and a few others') he'll get a lot less questions from other students, wondering if I might be slipping you a few extra points just because we're together." |
Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris asked her if it was weird that he enjoyed charms and correcting essays. "Not at all," she replied, flashing the boy a bright smile, honestly happy that he was enjoying his new job and seemed content with it, instead of the old one he had before. She much preferred to see her Professor happy and smiling. Her light eyebrows rose slightly, though, as he went on to explain that Flitwick had decided he would grade some of the papers himself, including hers, as he didn't want to receive questions from students wondering if Ferris was giving her assignments extra points. Vianna couldn't help but laugh lightly at this, rather amused by it all. "I understand," she told him with a smile, still chuckling softly to herself. She glanced over at the lake not too far away from them and her expression turned a bit thoughtful as she returned her gaze to the boy before her. "Do you remember our midnight swims, Professor?" she asked. |
