OOC:  I'm sorry! I'm just horrible at ruining their lives.... :( Ferris, who wasn't thinking much sense either, did as he was asked and quickly did the invisibility spell on the girl at his side, watching her disappear with a small sigh. "Uh...Come in," he said a little more loudly. In walked his mother, friendly tiredness on her freckled expression. "Hey Fer," she said, leaning against the door frame. "I know we already said goodnight, but I saw your light on, and I just wanted to apologize for today." Ferris eyebrows rose, confused, as he momentarily forgot about the Vianna situation. "Apologize? Apologize for what?" "I know that all of this happened really fast, Fer," the woman replied, her voice calming and smooth. "We hadn't seen the man for five years and suddenly he's back in our lives, and we're on civil terms, and I'm asking you to be nice with him and...I'm realizing that that's not exactly a fair thing to ask of you. I'm realizing that I can only make the decision for myself." She paused for a second, "You're growing up Fer. And you can make your own decisions as to who you consider worthy of your time. Now, I'm not saying I've completely forgiven your father, but I'm on okay terms with him. And it's not fair for me to ask that you suddenly change your mind and find the same terms." OOC: I'm off for now Dee! Byeeeee!!!! :bye: :glomp: |
Vianna felt herself shrink as the door to the room opened and Mrs. Montgomery came to sight. She had expected Jack, or another one of their classmates, or perhaps one of her stupid brothers, but not a parent! She knew she was invisible, but even so, she couldn't help feeling like she was completely visible and it caused her to panic a little, though she did her best to stay completely quiet and still as mother and son began to exchange words. Vianna was listening quietly, but halfway through it tried to tune it out. She felt horribly guilty listening to this private conversation, like an intruder, like a spy, like someone who wasn't supposed to be there. And technically, she really wasn't supposed to be there. ooc: Bye, Ruthie! :bye::glomp: |
"I appreciate that, Mum," the boy replied, a slight smile on his pale face. "I don't like being on weird terms with you, you know that. I'm actually really glad that you kind of understand where I'm coming from." "I do," Mrs. Montgomery replied with a soft smile. "Well...We should both get to bed. We're leaving pretty early tomorrow." "We are?" Ferris asked, his expression dropping. "Yeah...Probably around six or seven, that's when the ministry escort is coming to pick us up," the woman replied. Upon seeing the 'I'm-dying'-like expression on her son's face, she gave a weak smile. "C'mon Fer, it's a week without her," she said, knowing immediately what her son was thinking about. "I know that," Ferris said, all too aware of the invisible girl at his side. "But we've never been apart. Not once since we've met each other," he tried his best to explain to his mother. "The longest we've been separated was probably something like three hours one day due to extreme circumstances." He gave a soft chuckle, a little sheepish of his own words, "I just...I'm not excited about leaving her." |
Vianna's expression seemed to drop as well when Mrs. Montgomery announced they'd be leaving early the following morning, though of course this couldn't really be seen as she was invisible. She turned to the boy beside her and gave a weak, sympathetic smile that wasn't really visible to anyone in the room. She felt an urge to hug him, or kiss his cheek, or just show some sort of affection toward the boy, but she didn't want to startle him and blow their cover either. So she remained quiet and still, growing somewhat uneasy as the seconds passed. |
"Aw, Fer," the woman still in the doorway said with a small smile. "I know that you two are practically attached at the hip, but it's just a week." "7 days to us is going to feel like 7 years," he grumbled with a weak, humorless chuckle. "Don't you think you're being a little overdramatic?" his mother asked with an amused smile, though it was slightly concerned as well, taking her son away from something that was obviously very important to him. "Not really, though I know it sounds like I am..." he murmured, a small frown still on his face though he attempted to give a weak smile. "You'll be fine, Fer. And you'll see her again before you know it. It's just a week," Mrs. Montgomery reminded him with a friendly smile. "I'm going to bed, I'll see you bright and early tomorrow." The second the door had closed Ferris laid back into the sheets, nearly forgetting Vianna's presence and her invisibility as he ran a hand through his curls with a sigh. |
Vianna rested her back against the wall as the other two continued talking, her blue-eyed gaze falling to her hands. Or where her hands were, anyway, not that she could see them. It was weird, she wasn't used to this invisibility. But her gaze returned to the door as it closed, and then the boy at her side laid back into the sheets with a sigh. Vianna's gaze turned a little more sympathetic before she leaned over and placed a surprise kiss to his cheek, still invisible which made it all the more startling. "We have around nine or ten hours left, let's not spend them sulking, alright, Professor?" she asked, picking up the bag of marshmallows so it looked like it was floating around on its own and stealing one of the snacks. |
Ferris nearly jumped out of his skin as he felt a movement on the bed and then felt a pair of warm lips on his cheek, letting out a sigh of relief as he realized it was just Vianna. He heard his invisible girlfriend remind him that they had nine or ten hours left together, and they shouldn't spend them sulking. He couldn't help but let a small smile grow on his pale face, turning a little lopsided as he watched a bag of marshmallows float through the air. "I want to see your pretty face," he grumbled softly, reaching over to the bedside table and picking up his wand. He did just that and turned his girlfriend back visible. |
Vianna smiled with amusement as the boy beside her mentioned he wanted to see her face before then picking up his wand and making the girl visible again. She glanced down at herself and her smile widened when she was able to see herself. "Hi," she greeted the boy beside her, as if she hadn't been there all along. |
Ferris grinned at the sight of Vianna's smiling face, listening as she gave him a 'hi'. "You're adorable, Vi," the boy told her, stealing her slender waist and pulling her down on top of him. He pecked her lips lovingly, "And I want to keep you forever," he murmured, leaning his forehead against her own. "I hope you don't mind," he added with a soft chuckle, his breath warm and his brown eyes sparkling. |
Vianna flashed Ferris a small grin as he informed her she was adorable before bringing her down and pecking her lips, a gesture the young girl returned for the second it lasted. She smiled warmly as he told her he wanted to keep her forever before hoping aloud that she wouldn't mind. Vianna chuckled softly at this. "Hmm... Normally I would, but I guess I'll make an exception for you," she replied playfully, placing a kiss on his cheek. |
"Oh, thank you, Vianna," the boy said with a warm smile as the girl before him explained that she normally didn't allow people to keep her forever, but she would make an exception for him. He watched her for a moment, gently stroking the small of her back absentmindedly. His mind, unfortunately, was still slightly on tomorrow, and how in less than twenty-four hours the girl in his arms wouldn't be there anymore. How tomorrow night she wouldn't be just down the hall or in the next room, she wouldn't be in the same country! His smile faltered just slightly and despite Vianna's suggestion that they not worry about it, he was, quite obviously; that was just Ferris. |
"You're welcome," Vianna replied with a soft chuckle, letting her head rest on the boy's chest. She was quiet for a couple moments, merely looking off into space absentmindedly before returning her gaze to him, only to find clear concern on his features. "Cheer up, Professor," she said quietly, well-aware of what he must've been thinking of at the moment. |
"I can't, Vi," the boy said with a weak smile as Vianna told him to cheer up. "I can't stop thinking about you, and you're not even gone yet," he said with a small, humorless chuckle. He watched her through slightly saddened brown eyes, knowing that he was being ridiculous. What kind of person couldn't keep it together for a few hours? Obviously someone like Ferris, which made him feel a little worse. But he'd always been the one to plan and overthink and worry and now that it came to leaving his favourite person, he wasn't feeling so happy. |
Vianna sighed softly as Ferris told her he couldn't cheer up, that he couldn't stop thinking about her and she wasn't even gone yet. She was quiet, merely examining his features for a couple moments. "Alright, so what can we do to get you to stop thinking about me?" she asked. "Do you want to read a book? Or… I don't know. Something? Anything?" she asked, her forehead beginning to crease a bit. ooc: off for an hour or so. |
OOC: Ok! ^_^ Ferris let out a hearty, more genuine laugh as Vianna asked what they could do to get his mind off of her, suggesting they read or do something. "I don't want to stop thinking about you," he said with a small smile, "I want to stop thinking about what it will be like without you," he explained, giving a shrug, "And I'll be fine. I just have to stop being a baby, I guess," he said with a soft chuckle. He leaned forward and kissed her cheek just because he could. |
Vianna smiled faintly as the boy at her side began to laugh before telling her he didn't want to stop thinking about her, he just wanted to stop thinking about what it will be like without her. At this, the girl's smile faded slightly. "I know..." She chuckled softly, though, as he added that he'd be fine and he just needed to stop being a baby. "Well, you make a very cute overgrown baby," she told him with another chuckle. ooc: Another hour or so. |
OOC: Ok. :) Ferris gave a warm smile as Vianna told him that he was a very cute, overgrown baby. "You think so?" he asked with a face of mock flattered expression. "Thanks..." he said in a flustered murmur, letting out a chuckle just a moment later. "I'm sorry I'm being so...I dunno, down," he told the girl with a shrug, "I just love you. Far too much. And this is your fault," he explained with an amused smile. |
Vianna giggled with amusement as Ferris turned playfully flattered and flustered, before then going on to apologize for being down, that he just loved her too much and it was her fault. At that accusation, Vianna's jaw dropped. "Oh, of course! Blame it on your poor girlfriend who doesn't even want you to go in the first place," she told him with playful accusation before chuckling once more, placing a kiss on the boy's cheek. |
Ferris couldn't help but chuckle as Vianna's jaw dropped before him and called herself the 'poor girlfriend who didn't even want him to leave in the first place'. "I still blame you," he said with a grin, popping another marshmallow into his mouth before grabbing an extra one and holding it before his girlfriend's mouth. "You want a marshmallow?" he asked teasingly, amusement in his brown eyes. |
Vianna gasped with mock offense as Ferris insisted on blaming her. "Fine, be that way!" she said, though only a couple seconds later she was placing another kiss on his cheek. It was then that the boy took a marshmallow for himself and then another for her, asking her if she wanted it. Vianna's eyebrows rose just very slightly but she smiled before taking a bite from the marshmallow the boy offered her. |
Ferris let out another laugh as Vianna very stubbornly told him to be that way before kissing his cheek yet again, a gesture that always got him to smile. It was then that she took a bite from the marshmallow he held out for her and the boy let out a soft chuckle at this, watching her with admiring brown eyes. When she'd finished the first half of her marshmallow and went into grab the second with her mouth, he pulled back the marshmalow and replaced it with his lips, kissing her gently. |
Vianna's forehead creased slightly as Ferris pulled away the marshmallow she was just about to take, and it was then that his lips met her own instead. She giggled lightly at this, amused as she returned the gesture lovingly for a couple moments before pulling away with a smile. "You're a meanie," she informed the boy. |
Ferris, completely charmed by her small giggle, was surprised to find that when they broke apart, she was calling him a meanie. His jaw dropped though his brown eyes still admired her lovingly. "Me? You think that I'm a meanie because I took away your marshmallow and gave you a kiss instead?" he clarified with raised eyebrows. "Well, I'm very sorry I tried to give you a kiss. I promise, it won't happen again." |
Vianna narrowed her eyes slightly at the boy beside her as he asked if he was meaning for giving her a kiss instead of a marshmallow, then apologizing for it and promising her it wouldn't happen again. "Aw, no..." said Vianna, resting her head on the pillows and curling up beneath the sheets. "I prefer kisses to marshmallows." |
Ferris couldn't help but smile as Vianna gave an 'aw, no' and admitted that she preferred kisses to marshmallows. "Oh, changing your mind are we?" he asked with an amused smile, turning on his side to look at her as she cuddled up in the sheets. "You're so cute," he breathed softly, so softly it was almost as though it wasn't supposed to be heard by the girl at his side; like a thought had ran from his brain and escaped his head through his mouth. |
