Gabriel followed him to the shore and got out shaking his head, water droplets flying from his hair. He stood there looking back the the group still in the lake. "we are headed up to the castle, catch you guys later." He picked up his things and turned beginning to walk towards the castle and smiled. "Yea the swim was pretty fun. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." |

Paisley left Aston standing by a tree and walked toward the castle alone. her cousin peed her off at times. She brushed her hair back behind her ears and felt it drip out water down her back. Meh. Was this how life was going to be for her? Just stuck with her cousin when she longed to be with atleast someone. Aston watched as his cousin walked away and sighed. Maybe he should leave her alone for a bit and find someone for himself. |
Adrianna looked over at Rocio. "I hope that Paisley finds her way up here... I felt bad for leaving her behind..." she said, looking toward the RoR's door. |
Paisley stood there and began to think. Room of Requirement. Probably. She should get going there. As so she did. She opened the door and full right she was. There stood Rocio and Anna. "Hey. I got away from Aston." She sighed and looked at all the materials. |
"What about me and Chad?" asked Rocio looked quite calm on the outside. But it was then that Paisley interrupted them. "Hey, Paisley! Nice of you to join us," she said glad for her presence. "Better get to work on your own dress while you're here, right?" |
Paisley smiled. "Did i interrupt a talk about the opposite gender Rocio?" She chuckled and nodded. "Yeah maybe. Or I could just wear the costume I brought with me." She giggled. "I had it brought here erlier. I come with costumes for everything." She said as she walked over to the drawers. it was gone. "Maybe not. Got pink material?" She smiled at them. |
Rocio pointed at a pile of different colored materials in a corner of the room. "Help yourself," she grinned at the girl. "And as for that talk about the opposite gender, you interrupted nothing." She smiled at the girl before waving her wand and setting to work on her own materials. |
Chad listened as the other gentlemen talked. He didn't say much himself, but nodded along when he heard something he agreed with, he swam back and forth across the lake untill his shoulder blades stung with pain and then merely floated along next to Derek. "I think I'll dye my hair for the party." Chad remarked. |
"You mean so no one will recognize you?" Derek replied in response to Chad. "That's actually a good idea." He looked up in thought as if considering the idea himself. Not that Derek had an unusual hair color, it was brown but it'd be fun to change his look a bit. And he may as well have fun while being forced into this whole ball thing. |
"Oki dokes." Paisley smiled. "Whatcha reckon I go blonde for the night with a mask and then.. go as... marilyn monroe?" She chuckled and looked over at Adrianna "Did I interrupt?" She smirked. Aston looked at teh tohers who he was pretty close with but realised they were all closer with his cousin really. "Die your hair? Reckon Paisley might do that." He said in comment to Chad and Derek. |
"Hey! I was just talking about you... nothing bad of course!" she said with a grin. "Nope, you didn't interrupt anything, I was just poking some fun at Ro," she said, grinning at her friend. "Although, it was fairly obvious," she added, as she directed the scissors along the fabric. "Go blond? That might be interesting... although I don't think the pure blooded people would know who you were going as!" she pointed out, grinning. |
"I should probably change my own hair color too," said Rocio as she ran a hand through her hair. "It's so red people would know it was me. What do you two think?" she asked looking at them. "Oh and I think you'd do great as a blond, Paisley." She giggled lightly. Derek looked at Aston. "Oh, yeah," he nodded. "Lot of people will probably do that. Especially those with weird hair colors or those with bright hair." He thought of Rocio. Her red hair could be spotted a mile away. |
"Pah. Forget them. Sounds good to me." She smiled and pulled out a white fabric. "This looks hard. Any spell to help me?" She looked at Rocio. "Yeah, maybe brown for you. Or blonde. Make a statement. Look like a malfoy." Chuckle. Aston grinned. "Yeah. Rocio does get noticed alot." A pause from the boy. "Anyone got an idea what to go as?" |
"Oh! What if you kept streaks of your natural hair color but added in another color as well... I might do that, maybe add in a mixture of brown with my blonde," Adrianna said, running her fingers through her long hair. "And I guess I should put this up so that its not obvious how long it is!" she said with a laugh. She looked over as Paisley held up fabric. "Try this spell," she suggested, and began to help her. |
Paisley chuckled. "Thank you." She smiled as her dress sort of cut itself and stuff. "Hey good spell." |
ooc: yea I <3 Gabe lol Gabe looked at Chad then Derek. "I dunno Derek. Hot pink hair on you. I can see it." He laughed and sighed. "Chad I bet you will have the craziet most insane costume there. And no matter what you dress as, everyone will know it's you." |
Aston chuckled at Gabes comment. "Hot pink. Suits you." He smirked again. |
"Thanks... I took some books home with me last summer, and I picked up a couple things," she said, grinning. Then she waved her wand, and a bowl of popcorn appeared. "Like that!" she said with a grin. "It will be awesome when I can use spells at home," she said with a grin. "How are your dresses coming?" she asked her friends. |
ooc: Oh, darn, guys! I was so busy this past weekend/Monday. What did I miss? I hope I didn't miss too much. David strolled around the place and bit his lip, wondering around randomly as his twin sister followed him futher behind, holding up a camera and filming people as she walked along. "David, wait," Vanessa called before she turned on the camera. It was her own camera, one that she made herself from magic. She zoomed in on people and then to the ground, and then back up. |
Paisley chuckled. "POPCORN!" She squealed as she muttered somthing turning her hair platinum blonde and curly. She smiled and took a handful of popcorn. She looked and Adri and giggled. "I saw you and Gabe. Anything I should know about?" She smirked. |
"I think so." Gabe said clapping Derk lightly on the back. "I can tell. You are trying to suppress it. But I think you are actually looking forward to tonight. At least a little teeney tiny bit..." He said inquisitively and grinned then went on to think about his costume. He could visualize his costume in his head, it was only a matter of being able to pull it off without making it obvious that it was him, which would be a little difficult. The only thing he could thnk of was to wear a mask. |

Adrianna laughed, at both Paisley's reaction and her hair coloring. She was able to catch her breath and was still smiling as she finished the cutting of the fabric. Then, she blushed a deep crimson as Paisley mentioned Gabe. "Not really, we were just fooling around," she said with a shrug. She then busied herself with assembling all of the pieces of fabric. |
"Oh, everyone can tell you both like each other," said Rocio promptly. "Gabe likes you too, Adri, so don't worry about it." She gave her friend a small wink as she took some popcorn. "I just hope you two end up at least dancing together tonight." "Hot pink, very funny guys," said Derek with a roll of his eyes. "And I am not excited for this thing. Have I mentioned I can't dance. I don't see how that part of this whole night will pan out for me." |
Adrianna blushed. "Its not like I have liked him like that since school started... it just happened," she said, her face darkening. "Is that bad?" she asked, suddenly unsure. She smiled as Rocio mentioned them dancing. "Well, we won't be able to tell until midnight... I bet that we won't even be able to say who we even are once the dance starts," Adrianna said thoughtfully. Ooc: Who was it that wanted to add another girl? I think we only need one more right now, so go ahead and post a Bio and just add her in! |
"I could always give you dancing lessons as well." Gabe said chuckling then acted as though he were asking an invisible girl to dance with him. Bowing dramatically, he grinned and then proceeded to 'dance,' humming random notes to dance to. |
"You look ridiculous, you know that, right?" said Derek with a raised eyebrow as he watched Gabe dance with the invisible girl. "And if you're going to teach me to dance, don't I need a partner to learn with? All the girls have gone." "It's not bad, just cute," said Rocio with a smile in Adrianna's direction. "You're even blushing like mad!" She laughed. ooc: nicole black wanted to be another girl. =] |
Laughing, Gabe stopped dancing. "well one of our wonderful lads here could man up and partner with you." he said and turned to look at Aston and Chad. "Any takers? Don't be shy, it's for a good cause." |

Derek looked rather alarmed at the idea of having to dance with one of the other guys. "No, it's okay," he said with a nervous chuckle. "I can dance with the imaginary girl. Don't you worry, Gabe." "Of course he was," said Rocio playfully. "Why wouldn't he show interest in me?" She wasn't being arrogant, just trying to to play it off as a casual joke. |
"Oh but you don't want to look ridiculous do you?" Gabe said repeating the comment Derek had made earlier. He smirked and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "It's quite simple really. Slow songs are easiest. Both hands on her waist, she will most likely put her arms around your neck, and you just sway. I personally prefer dancing to slow songs than than the upbeat bump and go type songs. They are the songs that I get food and drinks through." |
"So true... I should say the same about Gabe," she responded raising an eyebrow. "I can be arrogant as well... just confess, you are smitten with him!" Adri said, crossing her arms. Her needle paused in mid-air, but Adrianna didn't notice because she was watching her friend. |
"Okay," said Derek nodding. "Hands on her waist and sway." He was taking mental notes once more. "And what if she wants to dance to one of those upbeat songs? Then what? Do I just say no?" "So, what if I am smitten?" said Rocio busying herself with her own dress to adjust something. "He's really nice and quite handsome." "Of course you don't say no." Gabe said chuckling. "If she wants to dance to an upbeat song then you just kind of bounce around to the beat of the music. But don't be obnioxious about it, just you know casually. After a while it will jsut end up coming naturally." |

Putting it back down, she waved her wand and the needle resumed. "All you needed to do was admit it to yourself... and also get away from the subject of Gabe and I!" she said, giggling. |

Chad chuckled at the others and was going to volenteer to play the girl when Derek tore the idea to shreds. Alas there went a perfectly fun idea down the drain. The young man ruffled his now dry hair and watched as the clouds lazily flew by. "I think I might make my hair blue.. What do you think Derek? I wanna go with something completely unlike me." Chad said. |
"But people will know it's you," said Derek with a raised eyebrow. "You're the only one mad enough to do something like that. Aren't we supposed to keep our identities secret?" Of course if that's what Chad wanted to do, Derek wouldn't be the one to stop him. "But what if someone else decides to dress just as oddly as he does?" asked Rocio. "Well, I'll worry about it when the time comes." She flicked her wand to stop the needle and thread which were sewing thing air. Her dress looked nearly done. "What do you think of it so far?" |
Adrianna laughed as she heard Rocio. "Well, knowing Gabe, he will try to do the same thing," she said as she waved her wand. The needle and thread of her dress finished off and then laid themselves neatly on the table. She then looked over at Rocio's dress. "Absolutely beautiful... try it on!" she urged, grinning. (ooc: If you have them, feel free to post a pic of your dress and mask later! This applies to everyone!). "I'll tell you what, you put on your, and I'll put on mine..." she said, gathering up her dress. |
"I know right? It's almost as if I can't help myself.. What do you think I should do? Maybe just dye my hair black and ware a suit? That would be dull right?" Chad asked. He wasn't very good with downplaying himself, Chad traditionally was a very intelligent young man and was known for being somewhat rule abiding. Of course that didn't meant that Chad wasn't out there, infact he was soooo out there that you'd have to fly a rocket to pluto just to be in range of sending him a massage. He was confident and didn't care much for what others thought of his occasionally goofy appearance. |
"Yes," said Derek. "Then people would have no idea it was you. That would be unexpected because everyone expects you to be the guy who's a bit out there, you know?" Rocio nodded. "I just need to do one last thing," she said. She waved her wand to add some finishing touches to her dress. "And done! Alright, let's try them on!" She grinned and headed over to an area of the room that had curtains hanging from the ceiling so that it served as a changing area. She then put on the dress and came out. "What do you think?" ooc: dress |
"Yeah.. " Chad replied. He sighed a bit and then added; "I suppose I'll have to be normal for a night then, well who knows. It could be fun... And pretending to be a different person could have some interesting repercussions." |
"Unless you want to be out there so you can catch a certain someone's attention," said Derek with a shrug. "You dress however you want and do whatever you want, mate. Don't let me stop you." |
Adrianna nodded and quickly went behind one of the curtains. She Unfolded the dress and examined it quickly. Then, she held up her wand and added some final details before finally putting it on. She emerged from the curtains and spun, allowing the blue fabric to flow around her. She giggled at herself and then looked up at Rocio. "It looks wonderful!" (ooc: Love the dress!) she told her, circling her friend to see all of the details that she had applied. "Really nice work!" she praised, smiling. Ooc: Dress!! "We can add some more beading to yours if you want it," she offered, looking at her friend's dress. "But only if you want it... I like it how it is!" she said with a broad smile. "I love my sleeves though," she said with a laugh. |
Gabe listened to Derek and Chad discussing Chad's costume. "Well mates, I think that we should go and try to scrounge up our costumes before it gets to be to late. It seems we have a lot of thinking ahead of us." ooc: OMG dresses = gorgeous!! |
"I think it's fine too," said Raquel with a nod as she looked at herself in a mirror. She turned back to Adrianna. "Besides, we still need to get masks together! Come on, let's work on those." "Yeah," said Derek with a nod. "Especially since i have no idea what to wear." He figured he'd just wear something nice and a mask to match. He didn't want to get too complex. |
Ooc: Hehee!! I have a mask too... you'll see!! Adrianna nodded. "Sounds like a great plan to me..." she looked over at the other girls. "When you're done, you have to show us your dresses!" she said with a grin. "Why don't we take these off first and then we can get to work on our masks without ruining these!" Adri advised, stroking her dress fondly. "I'm so excited for tonight!" she said with a grin. |
Rocio nodded. "Sounds like a plan," she said. She then retreated back behind the curtains and changed into her normal clothes. She took her dress and hung up nicely. "Well, onto the masks!" ooc: I don't yet. :lol: |
Gabe sighed and stopped walking looking at the guys. "Yea...well I part ways here. Good luck with your costumes. I'll see you guys later on." |
Ooc: You can do it!! Can't wait to see what you pick... Adrianna smiled and also disappeared behind the curtains. She took off the dress slightly reluctantly and changed back into her robes. Emerging from the curtains, she hung her dress up and brought the rack close to their work table. "This way, we can see our dresses without straining our necks!" Adrianna joked, grinning. "On to the Masks!" she said, a if they were off on a quest. "This might be a little more difficult..." she said, looking down at her materials. |
"Oh, it'll be fine," said Raquel. "I'm sure it can't be that hard. They're just masks." She started looking over some of the material and began picking things up that she liked. "See you," said Derek with a nod and a wave. "Good luck getting stuff together," he added in a last effort to be social and polite. |
Adrianna nodded. "I hope so... maybe the room will provide some books- ah!" she walked over to a shelf where there were many different books. Flipping through, she found a spell to help make masks. Grinning, she placed the book on the table and read through it a couple times before she finally performed the spell. The fabric formed a perfect base for her mask. "I love magic," she said with a laugh. "You want to try?" she asked, offering the book. |
"Oh, sure," said Rocio taking the book from Adrianna and reading over the spell. "Let's see if I can get it right the first time." She took out her wand and muttered the spell. Nothing happened. She looked at Adrianna. "Help?" she asked. |
"We are going to need all the luck we can get." Gabe said chuckling and turned walking off towards the kitchens. After finally making it to his dorm room, he sat down on the edge of his bed to think. He had his costume....but the mask was going to be difficult. |
"Flick your wand a little harder," she offered, watching as her friend tried it. "Don't worry, that's why I practiced the first couple times!" she said with a kind smile. She studied her mask, then looked at her dress. Suddenly, her stomach grumbled. "Ro... we're late for lunch!" she said, surprised. "Do you want to come back after lunch to finish this?" she asked,placing the mask down on the table. |
"Yeah, sounds good," said Rocio with a nod. "I'll keep trying after lunch too. Maybe that's why I can't get it." She put her want away and then left the things for her mask where they were. "Let's go." Derek headed back inside and straight to the Great Hall so that he could get a bite to eat. He could work on his costume and mas later. |
After a while Gabe's stomach growled rather loudly. Looking at the time he saw that it was past his usual lunchtime. Time flies when you're having fun, or so the saying goes. He wasn't exactly accomplishing anything just sitting, and maybe aftersatisfying his appetite he would be able tothink more clearly. Standing up, he crossed his room and made his way past the kitchens, which only made him, and to the Great Hall. He walked in and found Derek. "So I'm back, I didn't realize it was past time. Can't think on an empty stomach." |
Aston followed them into the Great Hall and sat down looking around for his cousin at least. Paisley followed the girls and made sure her hair wasnt blonde like it was going to be that night and headed into the Great Hall for lunch. She smiled at Aston and sat with her friends. "Costumes going well?" |
Adrianna smiled. "That's probably it... don't worry about it too much! I know you'll get it," she assured her friend. Soon, they were down in the Great Hall and she saw their friends all gathering. Quickly, she grabbed a seat and sat, grinning at the group. "Its good to see you guys aren't still in the lake... or left Gabe here to keep wandering," she said with a grin. |
Gabe glanced over at her and rolled his eyes chuckling. "Yea...Derek was kind enough to let me know that you ladies had left for who knows what reason." He shook his head loking dejected. "And you didn't even say good-bye..." |
"Well, that was the point," she said, smiling- she had taken a seat right across from him. "If we had told you we were leaving, we wouldn't have gotten the fun of watching you wander around in the lake looking for people who weren't there... plus, we needed to work on our outfits for tonight," she added with a smile. "Would you like me to say goodbye now, for then?" she asked him, noting how depressed he looked. |
"yea...it's ok. I'll forgive you this time." Gabe said smiling at her. "If you would like you can say good-bye to me now." He looked at her and smirked lightly before looking down at his plate. |
Adrianna grinned. "Aww, thanks," she said with a smile. "Well, if you really want me to..." she stood up and walked around the table. Soon, she was behind Gabe. "Good-bye Gabe," she said and quickly pecked him on the cheek. Then, she went back to her seat, trying to keep her face from blushing. "Happy now?" she asked him, grinning. |
Gabe watched her curiously as she walked around the table. What was she doing? He smiled hearing her say bye then he felt her lips on his cheek for a brief moment. It felt like all the blood immediately rushed to his face and he watched her as she returned to her seat. "I...uh...y-y-yes." He cleared his throat and ran his hand through his hair. She just kissed him....on the cheek, but a kiss nonetheless. |
"Good," she said, not looking at him as she piled food on her plate. Her mind was going around in dizzying circles, and her stomach was in knots. What had she done? And why had she done it? She pushed these thoughts away as she began to eat the food now on her plate. "So, have you begun to work on your costume yet?" she asked the boys, trying her best not to look at Gabe for fear of her face flushing again. |
Gabe sat there completely surprised. He certainly hadn't expected her to do tht at all. Looking across the table, he noticed that she wasn't looking at him at all. He chuckled lightly and looked back down at his plate. "I know what my costume will be, I just need to figure out the mask...," He spoke softly not really knowing why he was doing it, but he had suddenly felt much more humble. |
"I found a spell that forms a mask shape out of fabric if you want me to teach you," Adri offered, finally looking up at him. She saw that he was looking down at his plate and smiled slightly. "Well, I guess you weren't wandering around the lake too long then, if you had time to put your outfit together," she said, deciding that joking would take away their awkwardness. Ooc: I love our drama!! |
ooc: it's cute drama though! "well, I dont exactly have it put together. I mean I know what I want to dress as. I actually think that I have the things I need to make it. That mask spell would help though." Gabe looked up from his plate and smiled at her. "yea we actually weren't even really playing Marco Polo. We were having a conversation and I was just following him talking. Then I gave up." |
"Aww, we missed it," she said, grinning at him. "Oh well, I'm sure we'll get other chances to fool around with you," she said with a laugh. "Usually, I would ask you what you were going as, or what it looked like, but that would violate the rules," she said with a sigh. "Oh well, I guess I'll find out at midnight tonight," she said with a grin. Ooc: So sad, I have to get off for awhile, be on later!! |
"I guess we will." Gabe said winking feeling his face starting to flush again. What was going on with him? Sure, he liked her, but should he really be reacting to her like that? He grinned looking at her. She was probably going to look so beautiful. He was confident that he would be able to know which girl was her. ooc: okey dokey! |
Vanessa looked at her watch. "Oops!" she said. "See you later, bro," she smiled and ran off into the Room of Requirment. She was terribly late, she hoped she didn't miss it. She smiled brightly at everyone. "I'm sorry, I totally forgot," she laughed to the other girls. "Did I miss anything?" She had previously had her eyes completely closed, so she had no idea if David waved to his sister and continued to walk along the grounds, listening to everyone. He chuckled. |

"I'm sure it will be a great band. Dumbledore certainly knows how to throw a party." For some reason Gabe found it hard to take his eyes off of her. The longer he looked at her the more he realized how beautiful she was. He cleared his throat again and glanced back down at his plate. "ummm yea soo...how did the costuming go?" His blue eyes moved back up to her face and he smiled. "you find the pefect costume?" |
Adrianna nodded as she finished chewing her mouthful of food. ONce she swallowed, she replied "That's true... he has had a lot of practice," she joked. She found her eyes locked with Gabe's own, and noticed for the first time how blue his eyes were and noting the flecks of silver that seemed embedded in them. She cleared her throat and looked away. "Its going quite well, Ro and my dresses are done and we just need to make our masks," she told him. "I found the perfect fabric and we were able to use some nifty spells to fashion the dresses," she added, grinning. |
Paisley grinned at Adri's comment. "Hey my mask is done now anyway so nerr." She poke her tongue out and giggled placing a grape in her mouth. |
Derek listened to the conversation not really looking interested. He poked at his food as he ate it slowly. He felt it best not to jump into the conversation while Gabe and Adrianna were so clearly absorbed into each other. Raquel seemed to be thinking along the same lines as Derek because she too had said nothing all this time, which was quite the miracle. She merely smirked as Adrianna had gone to say good-bye to Gabe and pecked his cheek. It was all too cute. "Yeah, it was fun making our outfits," said Rocio now with a nod. |
Aston smiled at Derek and threw a grape in his direction. "People prefer the Derek that speak." Paisley giggled. "They do Derek." She smiled and threw a grape in return at her cousin. |
"I do speak," he said simply at the two cousins as he lifted his head to better look at them. He picked up the grape Aston had thrown at him and threw it back. "I just don't speak nearly as much as others speak or as much as others would like me to speak." "Plus, Derek's a little shy sometimes," teased Rocio. He rolled his eyes at here. |
Paisley rolled her eyes. "There are vocals inside you." She gasped in mock shock. Then giggled. In comment to Rocio she chuckled. "Shy! Pah, derek isnt shy are you?" She smiled and clutched her eye as another grape hit her. "ASTON!" "Sorry..." "You will be." |
"Not shy," muttered Derek, "just not very social, is all." He shrugged it off and watched as Aston threw another grape at Paisley. They were amusing to watch, he had to admit. |
"You bad person. Everyone should be social. Especially tonight." She apused. "Hey... surely were going to be able to tell who is who fronm voices." She spoke questioningly. OOC. Im off night x |
"That's sounds great." Gabe said smiling. "I need to perform a few adjustments and make a mask and I'm good to go." He looked around at the others sitting at the table and flushed slightly know that that he and Adri hadn't exactly been adding them in the conversation. "That's cool though that you made your costumes. I can't wait to see them." He looked over at Rocio and looked a little skeptical. "Gee Ro...what are you going to do with your hair...you will defiintely stand out in the crowd." He gave her a playful grin then looked back at Adri for a moment before taking a few bites of his food. |
"Yeah, I know," said Rocio as she twirled her hair around her finger. "But I'll figure something out, you'll see." She gave Gabe a reassuring smile. "And as for being able to tell each other from our voices, well, I guess we can't do much about that, can we?" She looked up wondering about it. "Well, at least we'll have something to figure out who we each are, right?" |
"That's true, our voices will definitely give it away. But it still adds to the mystery of it, not being sure." Gabe said smiling taking another bit of his food. "I don't know about the rest of you., but I am definitely looking forward to it." |
"I can't wait either!" said Rocio. Her eyes seemed to sparkle with excitement. "It's going to be so much fun." She was so excited, she could hardly eat now. But that's alright, she didn't feel quite so hungry as she did before. |

Carter raised his eyebrow as his friend held open the door. "Practicing for tonight?" he asked, grinning as he stepped through. "Going to be a gentleman and make all of those so-called birds swoon?" he added, chuckling. "What are you so deep in thought about?" Adrianna listened to the conversation, finally getting a chance to make a dent in her food. She had noticed Ro's smirk and knew very well what it was for. She knew that Ro was going to ask about it later, but she wasn't sure what he would say... it was all spur of the moment. "I know, tonight is going to be a blast, with the whole mystery and the excitement of the party... I'm ecstatic!" she said, smiling, her mind elsewhere. She was brought out of it by Gabe. "I can show you now if you want," she said, taking out a cloth napkin. "And you get to practice," she said, winking at Ro. |
"Sure that would be great.I hope you are a good teacher. You know us boys, we don't like to learn very much." Gabe looked back at her and chuckled. He reached into his pocket and pulled ot his wand. "Alright Professor. I'm ready. Bestow upon me your knowledge." |
"Oh, yeah!" said Rocio. "I still can't do the spell very well yet." She took out her wand. "Could you demonstrate for us, Adri?" she asked her friend. Perhaps if she saw it done, she'd be able to do it herself. |
Adri grinned and held up her napkin. "Of course I'm a good teacher! Do you doubt me ability?" she asked Gabe, raising an eyebrow much like Professor McGonagall liked to do. "Now, watch closely," she told them. She brought her wand up, and then swished it down, then back up again, adding a little loop while also saying the spell out loud. She could do nonverbal spells, but that would only be showing off and not teaching them. After she said the spell, the napkin instantly folded itself into a perfect mask shape. "Ta-daa!" she said, placing it on her face. "Think you guys got it, or do you want me to do it again?" she asked them. |
"Let's see if I can do it," said Raquel. She picked up a napkin and placed it in front of her. Waving her wand and saying the spell just as Adrianna had done, she was able to do it this time. "It worked!" she rather proudly holding up her own napkin mask. |
"I don't doubt anything about you." Gabe said softly barely in a whisper, mostly talking to himself. He immediately looked away and at Rocio nodding. "Yes a demonstration." He reached up running his hand through his hair and rubbed the back of his neck then watch as she preformed the spell. Mimicking the motion of her wand, he just kept doing it over and overgetting a feel for it. "Once ore please." |

Adrianna watched as Ro performed the spell perfectly. "Wonderful! Great job!" she said, hugging her friend in excitement. She smiled at Gabe and nodded. "Sure, no problem... although your wand movement is perfect," she told him, smiling. She tapped her wand to the mask twice and the napkin unfolded on the table. "Okay, ready?" she asked, looking at Gabe. Carter raised an eyebrow, but then dismissed the topic. He grinned slightly as he, too, noticed the girls staring after them. He shrugged after they settled down. "I'm not sure... maybe in a little while. I don't have that much momentum for that sort of project," he said with a bored sigh. He was thinking about it a little bit, and the idea of the dance was warming up to him, but he was still skeptical about the outfits. |
