Gabe didn't make eye contact with her until he felt her soft lips on his and he looked up at her smiling. "princess....I never want to have to comfort you. I never want you to ever be in pain. But I will always always be there for you, and you can always cry on my shoulder." He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close to him softly kissing her forehead. "And if you really want me to talk to her I will. Although you're right....I may have to do a little flirting to get information." He looked at teh portrait then back at her. "Are you okay with that?" |
Adrianna hugged him tightly, at least as best as she could with their hands connected. "Thanks," she told him snuggling into his shoulder slightly. She stepped back as he mentioned flirting with the portrait. "I'm fine... as long as you do better for me later," she said with a wink. "But in all seriousness, I don't mind... I trust you, remember?" she said, giving his hand a squeeze. "Now, go woo the paint off of her," she said with a grin. |
Gabe closed his eyes feeling her close to him and chuckled. "Don't worry princess, I'll do much much better for you than just flirting." He returned the wink and nodded. "Alright love. I'll do my best." Walking up to the painting, he softly cleared his throat giving her his warmest smile. "Good evening m'lady. I must say you are looking rather gorgeous. Certainly the prettiest portrait I've ever seen." The woman looked away from the window towards the direction of Gabe and a smile appeared on her face. "well hello there." She twirled a piece of hair around her finger flirtaciously and couldn't take her eyes off of him. "You are definitely the handsomest student I've seen. And I have seen many many a student." Licking her lips slightly, she tilted her head playfully. "What can I help you with?" |
Adrianna squeezed Gabe's hand then stepped to the side of the portrait so that she wouldn't be in the way, or in sight of the portrait's lady. She watched Gabe as he talked with the portrait and found that the tickle in the back of her throat wasn't fora cough, but for giggles. She swallowed, hoping to lessen the feeling, and was glad when it worked. As the portrait responded she rolled her eyes. She was so glad that they only had to do this once. She grinned once she heard the portrait say Gabe was handsome- she definitely agreed with that. |
"well madam. Headmaster Dumbledore has sent all the students on a little quest. And now finding Sir Cadogen is our top priority. You haven't seen him have you? I just...you know assumed that he had passed by. I mean, how could he pass by you without stopping? Your beauty exceeds all I've seen." He gave Adrianna's hand a squeeze and continued to smile at the portrait. "oh, well I will admit. I am quite beautiful. It's too bad that you aren't a portrait. I wouldn't be so lonely sitting by this window day after day." She smiled giving him a flirtly wink. "But since you are such a sweetheart, I will help you. Sir Cadogen ws trough here. He should take tips from you, because he certainly didn't catch my attention at all. He headed further down the corridor, said something about it almost being the end. I'm not suer I didn't listen to him." She stuck out her lower lip and pouted. "Are you going to be leaving now. I wouldvery much like to get to know you better." For the first time she acknowledged Adrianna's presence and scoffed at her. "I'm sur that you would....enjoy my company much more than this little rat. Look at that hair and her dress. Ugh, I'm so much better." |
Adrianna's giggled finally escaped just as the two were finished talking. She brought her hand up to cover her mouth, but the flow of giggles couldn't be stopped. Finally, she had control and she wiped a tear away from her eye. She glanced over at Gabe and muttered, "You had better not mean all beauties." Adrianna then looked up at the portrait and grinned. "Well, its a good thing this isn't my real hair color then," she said. "Thank you for your help lady... but my fair prince and I have a knight to find," she said with a smile. |
Gabe gave the portrait a low bow, ignoring Adrianna's grumbles about his beauty comment and smiled at teh portrait. "I'm sorry dear lady, but I've already pledged my heart and soul to another. Thank you for your help, I'm sorry I couldn't help." The portrait rolled her eyes at the girl and smiled as he bowed. "Well I hope she takes care of it. If not...you know where to find me." Giving him a wink, she turned back to her window. After walking a bit down the corridor in the direction the portrait stated, he stopped and turned to Adrianna. "How I see you is much much more than you being beautiful. And I have no doubts about you taking care of my heart and soul, as I will with yours." He leaned forward kissing her gently and smiled. "I'm done talking to portraits. I actually wanted to slice her up for a moment there when she called you a rat." |
Adrianna grinned and wiggled her fingers at the portrait as they walked away. SHe laughed once more when they were out of ear range. "Oh darling..." she began but then Gabe kissed her. Always enjoying the feeling, and glad that it would never get old, she kissed him back, a slight smile on her lips. "Well, I'm glad you didn't, although it would have been fun to see you use that sword," she said, wrinkling her nose and trailing her fingers over the hilt. "If you had, she probably would have followed us... and stalked one of us until our final days here!" she said with a laugh. "Granted, who knows if she would have recognized us," she said, touselling Gabe's different colored hair. "Don't worry sweetling, I took no offense... she is just paint after all. And as for your heart and soul..." she took their connected hands and placed it on her chest. "They are somewhere where no one could ever get to them... and as for mine, I feel like they've always belonged to you," she said, moving the hand onto his chest. Ooc: Yikes! Long post... but adorable if I do say so myself! And, I inserted a Pirates quote too... Lol! |
Gabe laughed. "Yea, she seems the type that she would stalk us. But not to worry. I did no harm to her portrait despite her uncalled for comments." He smiled and smiled lovingly at her listening to her. "Oh princess. I will be so glad when I have use of both arms again." He lifted her hand up to his mouth kissing it gently. "They won't be safer anywhere else. I'll guard them with my life." He kissed her hand again and led her further down the corridor. "I love you darling. I wish I could show you how much, but I don't think that possible." |
Adrianna grinned. "Well... I did a little harm," she said with a sly smile. "I added a mustache. It will fade away in a couple of hours, but for now, she is probably hiding that vain face of hers," she told him sheepishly. Her hand continued to tingle after Gabe had kissed it and she smiled up at him. "That's why I've entrusted them with you, I know no one else could do it better," she said with a coy smile. "I feel the same... but you have shown me countless times the depth of your love, and I feel I pale in comparison," she said, looking down slightly. "However I do hope to illuminate you some during your surprise tonight," she said, adding a mysterious edge to her voice. |
Gabe looked at her surprised and laughed. "A mustache? And to think, at one time I thought you were totally innocent. Tonight has proven me wrong." He winked and gave her hand a little squeeze then stopped walking as he heard a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Oh, oh love...." Reaching forward, he held her chin in his hand to make her look at him, and he smiled lovingly shaking his head. "trust me darling, I know you love me. And you prove it just by standing here. Although, I must say that you've sparked my curiosity. Let's go find Cadogen so that we can finish off out evening." |
"Well, its not like I have a choice about standing here," she said, grinning as she held up their connected hands. "But I would be proud to at any point," she said, stepping forward to kiss him gently. As she stepped back, she batted her eyelashes innocently. "Sounds like a plan... I'm sure we'll find him soon!" she said with a confident air. "And if not... tonight will definitely be interesting," she said with a grin. |
Gabe laughed and nodded. "This is true. This is very true. Well our dear friend said that he said something about it being the end. So we must be close. We have to be." Smiling, he returned the kiss and grinned. "tonight will be far more than interesting. It's going to be perfect. I can feel it. I can't wait to see what you think. I really hope you love it princess." |
"You'll be there, I already do," she said, leaning against him slightly. They walked along, and Adrianna peered into each one of the portraits, looking for some sign of the knight. "He really gets around!" she joked as they walked, shaking her head. Suddenly, a motion caught her eye. "There he is!" she said, grinning as she pointed to the back of a knight wandering through the portraits. "Sir Cadagon! Wait!" she called. |
Gab smiled from ear to ear. "Well there's more to it than just me, but I'm glad that it's a foolproof idea." He kissed the top of her head and wasn't even paying attention to the portraits, just her, until she caught sight of him. "ugh, he better not make us chase him. Running and being connected is not a good idea, plus you are in a dress." |
Adrianna giggled as she pulled Gabe along. "Sir Cadagon!" she called, sighing with relief as the knight slowed and turned around. "Ah! A fair maiden!" Sir Cadagon said, facing Gabe and Adrianna fully. "How can I be of service to such a fine princess as yourself?" he asked. |
Gabe rolled his eyes squeezing her hand gently. He, of course, despite what he had said to her, was getting jealous. Clearing his throat, he moved closer to her, protectively, hoping that this encounter would be over soon. |
Ooc: Aww... jealous Gabe Adrianna grinned and squeezed Gabe's hand, feeling him step forward into her. A slight giggle tickled the back of her throat, but she cleared her throat before speaking once again. "Sir knight, you have been cited within a clue for this evening's... entertainment. We were wondering if you could provide us with the final piece of the puzzle, so we might be..." she looked back at Gabe and shot him a grin as she searched for the best word. "Disengaged from one another," she said. "Physically," she added quietly, with a small wink at Gabe. "Well, well, I do see the trouble," Sir Cadagon said, eyeing their connected hands. "I was wondering why people were towing each other about... now, Dumbledore did warn me that it was going to be a crazy night, and that people would be looking for me, but you two are the first I've seen. I was scared... but not cowardly scared of course, a knight like me is never a coward! There was this one knight though that soiled his armor a couple times, I never thought he was right in the head if you know what I mean..." |
Gabe felt her squeeze his hand and he relaxed slightly, although not by much. He gave her a small smile, but was still just wanting to get this over with. And then Sir Cadogen started going off talking about who knows what and Gabe just snapped. “I’m sorry but I don’t think that’s relevant to our search. Could you please just help us and let us go on our merry way to separation? I’d prefer to have use of both my hands.” |
Adrianna put her free hand up in front of her mouth to cover up a giggle. Sir Cadagon entertained her, but Gabe's jealousy and impatience was priceless. Sir Cadagon blinked in surprise at Gabe. "Good sir, I am talking with the lady... if you wish to challenge me, we shall do so after," he said, nodding in a regal manner. However, this effect was spoiled by his visor clamping down on his helmet. He flicked it back up, trying to hide his flustering movements. "As I was saying, fair maiden..." "The end of the clue?" Adrianna hinted, sensing Gabe's growing impatience. "Right, right," Sir Cadagon said, nodding. "In order to break the spell, you must go through this portrait... and the room to which it leads is where the spell will be broken," he said, grinning as the portrait swung out. "Thank you, sir knight!" Adrianna said, grinning and trying not to laugh as she tugged gently on Gabe's hand. |
Gabe sighed in frustration and rolled his eyes laying his head against Adrianna's shoulder just waiting it out. When the knight finally gave them teh clue, he lifted his head. "It's about time..." HE said bitterly and followed Adrianna through the hole. "Ok so...does that mean that all we have to do is go into this...room? Or do something once we get there?" |
Adrianna giggled as she felt Gabe's head. She lead him into the tunnel, pausing as the portrait shut behind to let her eyes adjust. "That's what it sounds like," she said, slowing down her pace to walk beside him. "I hope there's no other trials... I don't think Dumbledore would put us through that and then add another twist!" she said with a giggle. "Oh, Gabe, what are we going to do with two hands?" she asked him with a laugh. |
Gabe stopped with her and smiled mischievously. "Well now....if I told you, it wouldn't be as surprising now would it. ALthough I will tell you teh first thing I'm going to do. I'm going to proclaim my love for you using your name and wrap my arms around you taking into a big bear hug. And you are going to like it." He said the last part somewhat as a command but didn't mean it as one. He couldn't wait to hug her though. He had been wanting to do that for so long, and had been unable to do so comfortably. |
Adrianna laughed, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Sir prince, I will love it with mind, body, and soul and I will hug you back to the best of my ability!" she said with a laugh. "Although... I might just kiss you instead," she said with a mischievous grin. She was definitely looking forward to saying his name. Before the dance, and she couldn't believe how long ago that felt, she thought Gabe was just a possibility in a large pond. Now, it felt as if he were the one and only. "Well, sir, you may have to remind me of your name- its lack of use may have wiped it from my memory," she said with a playful smile. |
Gabe pulled her close to him inching closer to her face. "forgot my name huh? Well, maybe I'll have to take you to the lake and put you on my shoulders to jog your memory." He gave her a wink and leaned in kissing her lightly. "either that or I'll leave you try to remember yourself. It will make me more mysterious. Because After tonight, i'll just go back to my normal self. No more prince, no more knight in shining armor...just normal me..." |
"Oh no... not on your shoulders!" Adrianna dramatized, winking at him. After he kissed her she put on a thoughtful expression. "Wait, its coming to me... maybe you'll have to do that again so I'll remember," she said, grinning at him. "Oh... mystery is good, but no more clues... I think I'm good on clues for a long time," she said with a laugh. She stopped and faced Gabe, looking straight into his deep blue eyes that she could see clearly even in the tunnel's darkness. "Darling, you will always be my knight and my prince," she told him, her voice soft, but serious. "Just with different color hair," she said, smiling as she gently tugged the end of his colored hair. |
Gabe chuckled and leaned in kissing her again bringing his free hand up and softly rubbing the back of her neck. "Come to you yet?" He said softly mumbling against her lips. He looked down into her green eyes smiling lovingly and nodded solemnly. "I'll be that for as long as you want me to.'' Tilting his head into her hand, he closed his eyes, then turned his head kissing her palm. |
Adrianna sighed in comfort as he rubbed her neck, but that was interrupted by his kiss. "Wait... its coming... I think I have the first two letters..." she said, grinning. "Oh no, I'm losing it," she told him. She leaned against him loving the feeling of his supporting body against her's. "As long as you want me, I will be there- until the stars themselves rain down from the heavens and Father time is called to close our world," she said, smiling up at him. Ooc: Hehe! Snuck in some Narnia: The Last Battle in there... |
Gabe continued rubbing her neck and sighed as she leaned against him. "Princess, I would love to witness the stars falling from teh heavens with you. I bet it's more beautiful than a meteor shower." He kissed the top of her head and as he rubbed her neck, let his fingers gently play in her hair as well. |
"Hmmm," Adrianna agreed, her eyes beginning to close. "We're never going to get separated this way," she said softly, relaxing into Gabe's warm and supportive chest. His gentle playing with her hair caused an occasional tug on her scalp, which was a strange sensation, but not a bad one- it actually felt good. "You know what, we don't need to be separated... we can just stay here..." she sighed, her eyes closing all the way. |
Gabe chucked softly and sighed enjoying knowing that she was completely relaxed. "Sweetheart, you know we can't stay attached..." He gently stopped rubbing her neck and smiled kissing her forehead. "Don't worry. I'll continue this during my surprise. I promise..." He whispered softly in her ear. |
Adrianna's eyes opened instantly at the mention of that night. "Okay, let's go!" she said, quickly kissing him on the cheek. "And maybe we'll be the first ones there!" she said with a grin. "We can too stay attached," she said, looking back at him. "Or do you want to end our relationship already?" she pouted, although a smile was beginning to form. |
"of course we will be the first ones there. Sit what's-his-face said we were the first ones he's seen." Gabe smiled and watched her pouting sure this time that she was joking. Leaning in, he gently kissed her lower lip giving it the littlest nip just for fun then smiled. "I hope to never end our relationship if I have anything to say about the matter." |
Adrianna nodded in agreement. "Well, I guess we should get a move on, otherwise we may have others on our tail... granted, our friends are taking longer than I thought they would," she said with a sigh. "But they don't have the amazing combination of a Prince and Princess, a Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw," she said, grinning at him. Suddenly, Gabe kissed her, once again biting on her lower lip. Her lower lip tingled and she looked up at him, raising an eyebrow. "What exactly do you hope to achieve by doing that?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow as a smile played on her lips. |
"perfect team..." Gabe murmured against her lips. Leaning back, he grinned watchign her reaction and shrugged. "well I wasn't really trying to accomplish anything. Just a spur of the moment reaction only this time I actually meant to do it. As opposed to my spontaneous act before." He smiled innocently and began to walk further down teh tunnel giving her hand a squeeze. 'Did it bother you?" |
Adrianna frowned. "Honestly... I don't think so, I'm not sure what my exact reaction is," she said, not liking the sensation of being confused. She walked along beside him, her thoughts wandering toward what Gabe was thinking of doing that night. She knew that it would be wonderful, and they would have a blast, but what exactly she didn't know. "I can't wait," she said softly, leaning her head against Gabe's shoulder once again. |
Gabe laughed. "Oh believe me. I can't wait either princess. It will be so perfect." He turned his head kissing the top of hers. "I relaly hope you love it. But if we take much longer. I'm going to forget everything I had planned." |
"Well," Adrianna said, looking up and along the tunnel. "It looks like we're reaching the end of our journey," she said, indicating the blank wall in front of them. However, it had patterns and Adrianna was willing to bet that it was a tapestry. "Now time to see where this leads us," she said with a smile up at Gabe. "And then, on to the real even for the night," she said, giving his hand a gently squeeze. |
They reached the wall and Gabe stopped walking turning to Adrianna. "It was a pleasure being attached to you all evening." He brought her hand up to his mouth and kissed it softly. "It was an honor just to be dancing with you. I'm glad that it turned out well for the both of us." He brought his free hand up and softly brshed his fingers across her face. "Are you ready m'lady?" He said reaching out and wrapping his fingers around the edge of the tapestry to pull it aside. |
Adrianna couldn't stop smiling. The night had just been too perfect, and she had found her Prince Charming. She felt her face warm slightly as his lips gently kissed the top of her hand, but his cool fingers on her cheek soon cooled her blush. "As am I, good prince," she said with a curtsy. She grinned at him as he asked his next question. "Let us break this spell," she said, and stepped through. On the other side of the tapestry was the Great Hall, still decorated in its Halloween glory. Adrianna looked around, feeling like it had been ages ago since they had last danced. Suddenly, something seemed to click and she looked down to see her own and Gabe's hands separated. "We did it," she said, smiling broadly as she looked up at him. |
Gabe followed her through to the other side and found that their hands were free. His smile couldn't have been wider and before doing anything else he swept her up in his arms and spun her around. Laughing, he finally set her down and reached up to his face slowly pulling down his mask, finally, revealing his whole face. "Adrianna..." He said without a stutter and let out a sigh of relief. |
Adrianna laughed as Gabe followed through, spinning her around high above him. She watched as he took of his mask, seeing his full face for the first time that they had discovered each others' identities, and each others' feelings. She reached up with the hand that had once been connected, and gently outlined where his mask had been. Then, she reached up and gently lifted her own mask, smiling at Gabe brightly. "Gabriel," she breathed, looking deep into his blue eyes. |
"You are even prettier without the mask..." Gabe breathed staring at her in amazement then heard her say his full name. "I love you princess." He said smiling as if it were Christmas. Lenaing forward, he kissed her gently letting his fingers run through her hair, then pulled away. "ready for your surprise?" |
Other students began to file in, and Dumbledore watched them all with a fond smile. The faint toll of the clock could be heard in the distance as it stuck the last tone for midnight. All of the spells were broken now, as he had planned, so they could say names, remove their masks, and even their hands were free. He had noticed that Gabe and Adrianna had been the first back, and they would get their reward in due time. But for now... he stood and raised his hands to applaud. "Welcome back everyone! The night is coming to a close, but as a special treat, there will be one last dance," he said, raising a hand to the orchestra. Adrianna smiled brightly at Gabe, no longer the prince that had accompanied her tonight in appearence, but still containing the prince within. Her Gabe. Her smile broadened at that thought. "And you, sir prince, are even more handsome than ever. As he said that he loved her, everything seemed to have that peaceful feeling about it. "And I love you Gabe," she said softly just before he kissed her. She was just about to answer when Dumbledore made his announcements. She turned and looked at Gabe. "Shall we?" she asked, dipping into a deep curtsy. |
Gabe looked towards Dumbledore as his plan got interupted for hopefully the last time. He looked back to Adrianna and bowed taking her hand in his. "Of course. I wouldn't want to miss the last dance, especially with you as my partner." He looked deeply into her green eyes and smiled. "And this time I will be able to put my arms around you." |
Adrianna grinned and gently squeeze their connected hands. "And I am sure, this will be the best dance of all," she said softly, smiling broadly at him. She took her position, their hands clasped together as if they were made for each other and her hand on his shoulder, resting there comfortably. "I am just glad that it was you who found the shoe for this Cinderella," she said to him with a smile. |
Gabe nodded. "I'm sure it will be." He led her out to the dance floor gently sliding his hand around her waist and pulling her close. As his fingers folded around hers, he leaned forward softly kissing her nose. "I'm glad the slipper fit, because I didn't want another Cinderella. I just hope I can fill Prince Charming's shoes. Cinderella's were filled perfectly."" |
"Didn't you say something about not being able to dance earlier?" Adrianna asked Gabe as he led her out. Her smile broadened as he brought her close and she pulled herself slightly closer so that they were scant inches apart. "Well, I for sure wouldn't want any other Prince Charming," she told him with a grin. "In my opinion, you fill Prince Charming's shoes and then some... because I never had to go back to the evil step mother," she said with a laugh. |
"Did I?" Gabe said jokingly. "I don't remember that at all, besides...with you...I would dance forever." He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it again before resting his forehead against hers. "well if that evil stepmother ever shows up...I'll protect you..." |
"And I feel the same... I would dance until the end of time, as long as it was with you," she said softly. Then she laughed. "Sorry! I'm supposed to leave the corny stuff to you!" she said, giggling. "And as for the evil stepmother, you've banished her and any other darkness in my life far beyond where they will be able to reach us," she said, closing her eyes as Gabe lead the dance, her movements following perfectly, almost instinctually with his. |
The moment was so perfect. Too bad it wouldn't be as perfect as his surprise for her. He chuckled to himself at the thought and kissed her nose. "Oh Adrianna....I would move mountains for you. I'm sure I could handle an evil stepmother." The song was close to the end and he sighed. "Almost over..." |
"Well, I don't thin you'll need to move any mountains, but its nice to know that you can," she said with a soft chuckle. She grinned at his next comment. "Then let's enjoy it," she said softly to him. She smiled at him, and slowly closed the distance to gently kiss him on the lips, allowing the last moments of the dance to pass in total bliss. |
Gabe closed his eyes feeling her lips on his and he had unconsciously stopped dancing dropping his other hand around her waist as well. He returned her kiss and in one more round of playfulness, while they wer still kissing he lifted her into his arms as if he was carrying her across teh threshold. |
The band had stopped playing at this point, and many of the students had started to head out of the Great Hall, masks being removed and many new friendships and relationships made that night. However, Adrianna didn't notice any of this. As Gabe lifted her up, she smiled in their kiss and brought both of her arms around his neck, pulling them closer, as if they hadn't already been. She separated slightly, her lips still against his as she spoke. "The last ones on the dance floor," she muttered, a smile also present. |
Gabe chuckled and gave her another small peck on the lips. "Yes, it does look that way doesn't it?" He looked around and saw that all of the students were mingling amongst themselves. Looking back to Adrianna, he nuzzled his nose against hers and smiled. "Now what princess?" |
"What do you mean now what?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. She leaned in to kiss him softly, then after a second thought gave him a little nip on his bottom lip. "You have a surprise for me, remember?" she said, grinning. "And don't make me royally decree it," she teased with a soft laugh. "After all, I am a princess," she joked. |
Gabe was completely taken by surprise at her playfullness and it showed on his face. "Adrianna..." He said surprisingly then laughed. 'You are right i do have a surprise for you." With her still in his arms, he began to walk toward the staircase stopping at the base and looked at her. "You have to keep your eyes closed until I tell you you can look. Deal?" |
Dumbledore watched as the students left, smiling contently as the Great Hall cleared with a feeling of friendship in the air. With a sigh, he climbed down the steps of his platform and slipped into a passage behind a portrait which would take him to a steaming cup of tea and his warm, comfortable bed. Adrianna grinned at Gabe. "You're not the only one with surprises," she told him softly. She sighed at the fact that she had to close her eyes, but did so anyway. "Good thing I trust you," she muttered, although a slight smile was playing on her lips. |
"Apparently not..." Gabe said laughing then watched her close her eyes. "Please don't peek. It will all be worth it." He began to carry her up the stairs, and he had a lot of staircases to go up...but it was all worth it, plus he could barely notice that he was carrying her. She was light as a feather. |
Adrianna smiled, her eyes still closed. "I won't... I promise," she said. "Besides, I'm excited for this, and I like surprises... so I'll wait," she assured him, grinning. "Don't you worry." However, she was able to note that he was walking up stairs, based on the sound of his boots against the floor itself. "I can't wait," she said, snuggling her face into his shoulder and neck, quite comfortable in his arms. |
"Don't fall asleep on me..." Gabe said softly and chuckled going up one, two, three flights of stairs. Halfway there almost. He thought to himself and tried to go back remembering everything that he had wanted to do. |
"I couldn't even if I wanted to," she said with a grin, her eyes still closed as she leaned against his shoulder. "I'm too excited," she said with a soft chuckle. "You've been hinting at something wonderful all night, and I am willing to bet it will better than I ever imagined," she said, rubbing her cheek against his shoulder to get in a more comfortable position. |
Gabe felt her nuzzling against his shoulder and he looked down at her and smiled. With a sigh he made it up three more flights of stairs, one more to go. "Almost there. I really hope that you love it...." |
"You know I will, never doubt that..." she said, smiling. She kept her eyes closed, although she was beginning to get that sensation one has when you know something good is out there, and your eyes are just itching to be opened. "As long as you're there, I'll be happy," she told him, nuzzling his neck with her nose. |
GAbe finally reached the seventh floor and he paced back and forth concentrating hard. Stopping, the door appeared. "Alright..." He said softly and turned teh doorknob. He set her down on the floor however put his hands over her eyes and pushed the door open to reveal a dimly lit room. Leading her into the room, he finally removed his hands. "You can look now." Candles were everywhere, rose petals spread out over the floor filling the room with their beautiful aroma, there was a large comfy couch sitting in front of a warm roaring fireplace, but the best part was the ceiling. Somewhat like in the Great Hall, only better. His sky was bright and clear, and was a continuous meteor shower. |
Adrianna walked with Gabe and his hands were over her eyes. She smiled, enjoying the game, but getting slightly impatient. Finally he took his hands away and she opened her eyes. Her breath was taken away by the sight of it all. "Oh my..." she breathed, her voice unable to raise in sound even if she had wanted to. "Its... its perfect," she said, turning to face him. "Actually, it needs one thing," she said, pulling out her wand. She tapped her head, and her hair changed back to its normal color, the ribbons dissolving into thin air. "Now, let me see the real Gabe," she said, grinning at him. |
Gabe stood watching her reactions closely. He sighed with relief hearing in her voice that she really was happy with it. then he watched as she took out her wand changing herself back to normal. He just stood staring at her lovingly slowly reaching forward running his fingers through her hair. "Adrianna...I...you are....wow..." Seeing ehr standing there in that gorgeous dress, she just glowed. pulling out his wand, he took off his hat and changed his hair back to normal as well. |
Adrianna smiled brightly up at Gabe, slightly surprised to see him so speechless. "I should say the same," she said, stepping closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, completely content to remain with him for the rest of time. She reached up and ran her fingers through his short dark hair, allowing the hairs to slowly fall and settle back in their original place. "This is perfect," she said softly. |
"I'm glad you like it." Gabe said softly and smiled leaning in kissing her gently. "Come on..." He said and led her over to the couch. "I'm really glad you like it Adrianna. I wanted it to be absolutely flawless." Smiling he gently pulled her down next to him. "So far I'm doing well..." |
"Who wouldn't?" she asked, smiling as he led her over to the couch. "I mean... its everything a girl dreams of when they think of romance," she said with a smile. "Not that you would know that," she said, taking a seat with a teasing grin. "Quite well," she said, curling up on the couch next to him. |
Gabe smiled and wrapped his arm around her pulling her close to him. "I may know a few things about romance." He said softly and kissed her forehead. |
"So I've noticed," Adrianna said, looking at the surrounding room. "The fire is quite a nice touch," she said with a grin up at him. "So... is there any more to this surprise?" she hinted. "Or is it now my turn?" she added with a mischievous smile. |
"I personally like the ceiling. But the fireplace is certainly nice as well." Gabe looked at her and smiled running his fingers lightly through her hair. "Oh by all means go ahead. I wouldn't want to hog the limelight. I'll share." |
Adrianna looked up and was mesmerized by the ceiling above her. "Amazing," she breathed. "Its even better the second time I look at it," she said with a soft laugh. "Alright you, come on, off the couch, on the floor," she said, standing and indicating the soft carpet that was covered with rose petals. "On your stomach," she said, her grin spreading. |
Gabe looked at her utterly confused. "On the floor? What are you going to do...use me for a carpet?" Smiling, despite his confusion, he did as she said and slid off of the couch onto the floor and lay down breathing in deeply. "At least the floor smells fantastic." |
"Mmm... I still prefer your smell," she told him with a smile. "No, I could never walk all over you," she joked, with a gentle laugh. As he did as she asked, she knelt down next to him. "As for what I'm going to do... you'll just have to experience it," she said, letting her voice get softer allowing him to relax. |
Gabe grinned. "Well I'm glad that I smell good. Your smell is appealing to me as well. Like the roses, only with somthing special added." He turned to look at her and winked then listened to her next words. He lay his head on his arm and shook his head. "Your turn to be all mysterious now?" |
"So, I smell nice and taste like strawberries, there doesn't seem to be anything bad on your end!" she said with a laugh. "I had to deal with your mystery all night, so you can deal with a little bit of mine," she added with a grin. "Now come on, lie flat," she ordered, pushing his shoulders gently. |
Gabe blushed slightly and nodded. "strawberries..." He repeated and chuckled then nodded. "Fair enough. Continue with your mysteriousness...ness..." He laughed and sighed doing as she said, before he got slapped. |
Adrianna smiled and after pushing his shoulder gently, allowed her finger to travel directly along his spine. "If you remember... I promised I would do this earlier," she said, her voice containing an alluring tone to it as she continued. She ran her hand along his spine once more, applying more pressure as she went up and then back down his back once more. |
Gabe closed his eyes and got chills feeling her fingers tracing down his back. "Yes well...if umm...you remember what happened last time..." He said beginning to get flustered...again, like last time. |
"I know... and this will be even better," she said softly, she said, leaning up on her knees to kiss the back of his neck gently. She sat up once again and ran her hands along hi back once again. She applied pressure in the right places, keeping Gabe the most comfortable that she could. |
Gabe chuckled softly and sighed. "well if it's better than last time, I'm going to be completely incoherent, if not asleep." Her touch was positively amazing. After a few short minutes, she had managed to make him completely relaxed. |
Adrianna smiled as she saw the effect that her massage was having. However, she wasn't done yet. While she continued to massage him with one hand, she gently lifted up his shirt revealing more and more of his back. She leaned down, kissing along his spine gently, easily finding spots that she would usually massage. Finally, she had reached his neck once more. She kissed the back of his neck and then continued along his shoulder. "So, what do you think?" she asked softly as she laid down on him, making sure not to put too much of her weight down. |
Adrianna's lips on his bare skin sent chills up and down his spine. Goosebumps even formed along his skin. Gabe buried his head in his arms as she continued up his back then to his neck and shoulders. He finally felt her stop and her weight on his back. Lifting his head he just nodded. "that was...I just..heh...n-nice..." |
Adrianna grinned and kissed his cheek. "I can tell by the way you're talking that it was better than nice," she said with a soft chuckle. "So... what else do we want to do in this marvelous room?" she said softly. "Or do you want me to do that again?" she asked, grinning. |
Adrianna completely took his breath away. After he finally got it back, at least enough to form sentences he lifted his head and looked at her over his shoulder. "Well, I think that I owed you one as well didn't I?" |
Adrianna's eyes lit up. "Well, you've done plenty," she said, indicating the room. "And besides, I'll have you for the rest of time anyway," she said softly, as she rolled so that she was next to him. |
Gabe smiled at her words. He was going to wait, but it was just a good a time as any. Looking down at the floor, he thought about it for a moment then knew what he was going to do. "Stand up for a minute..." He said standing up and looking down at her a little mischieviously holding out his hand. |
Adrianna sat up, raising an eye brow at him. "Why should I?" she said, crossing her arms and legs like a little kid. She did want to see what the surprise was, but she didn't want to give in so easily... she wanted to have a little fun first. |
Gabe looked down at her and smiled. Typical. He paced the room and ended up behind her. Sitting down, he put his legs on either side of her and gently put his hands on her shoulders running his fingers up and down her arm. "That's fine..." He said in the deep rich voice he had used earlier whispering in her ear. "It can wait..." |
Adrianna had watched Gabe, curious to see what he was going to do. Suddenly, he was behind her and once again using his voice and fingers to the best of his ability. She leaned back into him, staring into the fire. "I'm fine with just sitting her for the rest of time, what do you think?" she said, closing her eyes as she put her head against his cheek gently. |
Gabe smiled nuzzling against her gently sliding his hands around her waist clasping his hands in front of her. Thinking about her choice of words again he decided he would jsut do it. "Marry me...." He said softly, his cheeks blushing bright red. |
Ooc: SQUEE!! Adrianna leaned against Gabe, so wonderfully comfortable that she didn't have a care in the world. As he wrapped his arms around her she only wanted him to hold tighter and never let go. However, his next words startled her out of this state. In fact, they startled her so much that she was out of his arms and standing in front of him in a matter of seconds. "What?" she breathed, her voice unable to get any louder, hardly able to believe that Gabe had just- no, he could have asked her... |
Gabe was surprised as she jumped from his arms and stood there staring at him. uh oh...maybe I shouldn't have asked... Looking up at her, she didn't have a look of disgust, more of shock. Deciding it wasn't going to hurt, he slowly got up kneeling on one knee. Taking her hand in his, he softly caressed the back of her hand and lifted it to his mouth kissing it lightly. "Adrianna Knightsbridge....would you do my the honor of accepting my hand in marriage? I can't picture life without you." He looked up into her eyes smiling lovingly. "You are the one. I can...I can feel it. You are my one and only princess, and I will never be able to love another the way I love you." |
Adrianna stared down at Gabe. Was he really, truly doing this? Were all her wildest dreams coming true in mere seconds? I mean, they had only just found out that they liked one another and yet... something just felt right. She looked down as he took her hand and repeated the question, this time in a more formal matter. He mind was spinning, but as she looked into Gabe's brilliant blue eyes, she knew her answer. "Yes," she said softly, a blush redding her cheeks- but not too much- and a soft smile beginning to spread. |
Gabe's face brightened up and he smiled. "R-really?" He let out a sigh of relief and stood up looking at her. "You...you will?" Laughing, he wrapped his arms around her waist and he spun her around happily kissing her. "Adrianna you have no idea how happy you've just made me." |
Adrianna laughed as he hugged her and spun her around. "How could I say otherwise?" she said softly, burying her head in his shoulder. She looked up and smiled at him. "And I, dear Prince, am... I can't even describe!" she said, laughing. "Oh my... I'm a fiance!" she said, laughing harder. |
GAbe laughed along with her and set her gently back on the ground. "I umm...I don't have a ring or anything...." He said a bit embarrassed. It had after all been a it spontaneous. A blush appeared on his face and he looked away from her, his eyes getting drawn to the fireplace. |
"Well, what better place to get one than the Room of Requirement," Adrianna said with a soft chuckle. "You know, its the place for spontinuity!" she added. She stepped closer to him, noticing him looking away. Gently, she turned his face toward hers and kissed him on the lips. "All I need is you anyway," she said with a broad smile. |
