This is the official sequel to P&P. The majority of the 'old' characters know the storyline. I am afraid that no new characters are avaliable for this RP, so I am sorry but nobody new can join.

This wont be starting untill tommorow, but seeing as I had a title in my head, I sussed it would be best to open it now. Plus I would like everyone just to put up a brief character analysis and explain how their character/s have developed up to this point.

If anyone comes up with a better title, then tell me. I'd like everyone's thoughts on it, as i didn't really think about it much.

Chuckling, she replied, "Listen to you fussing! Cant you see, I feel much better! Of course, I'm not completely healed, but I feel alright. You should worry more over yourself, a man of your age cant afford to have many more injuries as bad as those were." she added, a clear note of concern in her voice. "Anymore incidents like that and you'd be gone and what good would you be to me then eh?"

"Are you trying to insinuate that I'm old, again?" he replied, jokingly with a smirk. "I'm fine. Just a scratch on the back of my head. I've survived worse. And not that long ago, either," he said, anticipating another comment on his age.

He leaned back and stretched his arms over his head, his joints cracking and popping from sitting in one position for too long. His muscles were stiff and ached from the various curses that had been inflicted upon him. Marcella may have had a point about him not being as young as he used to be...

"But still, that scratch, as you call it, must be very painful. Perhaps you should consider resting too, sitting in a stiff chair like can be doing you no favors." she added, not meaning to insinuate anything but feeling like she might have been. Trying to lift the sheets, she squirmed at the sight of her bloodstained legs and became disgusted by the smell. "Whatever posessed him to put me in a bed when I'm all bloody, I'll never know." she commented, wishing she could get up and move. "He's knows I'm not one for bed baths."

"Do you feel up to sitting in a tub? I can assist you..." Snape felt his cheeks flush despite himself at the insinuations which he hadn't meant to put in that statement.

"Assist me all you want, I'm going to need it." she mused, attempting to move her legs and frowning when they would not respond. "Unles I could charm my feet and legs into working but that could probably cause more damage than it's worth. I dont think I can sit up though, the only reason I am now is because these pillows are propping me up. So, that might be a problem." Realising Albus probably had though of this, she sighed, "It'd only be awkward for you anyways and on top of that, being that way, well, it might bring back certain feelings which neither you or I are fit to entertain, given our conditions."

He hadn't really thought out what helping her to bathe would entail and the position he would have found himself in. But, now that she had brought it up, he was sure she was right as the very thought now plagued his mind. He shook his head to rid himself of the thoughts but, now that they had surfaced, he found he could not bury them back down and his desire for Marcella flared once more. Why was he plagued with this feeling for this girl? His life would be so much simpler if he could just get this one emotion under his control, as he had controlled all of his other emotions before this one resurfaced again to cause him more pain anf suffering. But no, love seemed to follow it's own agenda and no amount of ignoring it and denying its existance made it go away.

"If you won't let me assist you to the tub, would you at least accept my help in getting you as clean as possible where you are?" Snape finally asked after several silent minutes had past.

Feeling awfully mischievious, she replied, "I wouldn't deny you anything." Her lips curved into a telling smile as she bit her lip and let out a small giggle. "But let's face it, even you have to admit I'm starting to stink."

Snape smiled at Marcella's relatively good humour. If she was up to craking jokes, she must be making at least some small step toward recovery. He gave her mischieveous smile back to her and asked, "And by which method would you prefer I assist you in ridding yourself of your stench?"

Laughing, a twinkle in her eye, she smiled, it had been a long tme since they'd teased each other in this way. "Alright, old man, enough with the dirty talk. Let's get me out of this thing."

Snape rose from his chair and slowly peeled back the sheets, avoiding Marcella's eyes and studying the bloodstain patterns. It was one thing to tease over what needed to be done and quite another to be actually doing it. Afraid to use magic due to the nature of her injuries, Snape one arm under her arm and around her back and the other beneath her knees and gently lifted her into his arms, she gave a gasp and some groans as she was jostled about. He stayed still until she was settled in his grasp and then walked back to the antechamber, placing her carefully in the tub. "Can you remain sitting at all on your own?" he asked, looking up into her eyes for the first time since the teasing had begun, his heart melting at the mere sight of her.

She felt him pick her up and for the first time in ages nestled her head into his chest, taking in his smell, his aroma. Feeling herself being lowered almost as quickly as he'd lifted her, she shook her head as she was sat down. "No I dont think I can."

Snape nodded, "It's alright. We'll manage."

He kept an arm around her chest and under her arms to support her and used his free hand to remove her soiled clothing before reaching into his pocket to grab his wand. Pointing it in the tub, he used his years of experience in potion making to conjure water into the tub at just the right temperature- hot enough to soothe and bathe but, not too hot to scald. He gently took the soap and, with Marcella's aide, they managed to get enough on the flannel for him to begin washing the caked blood from her body.

Though a man bathing a grown woman may seem vulgar, there was nothing crude in Snape's gesture; it was more like a father bathing a child, so gently and carefully did he wash the blood and grime from her body, his eyes full of concern, not lust. When the bath water became cloudy and red, Snape would pause to clear it with his wand before continuing. It was a long, arduous, process, as he had to continually keep an arm around her. His robes became soaked and his body began to protest but, he continued on in silence, to care for his Marcella.

She had thought she might be embrassed, more ashamed when he had removed her clothes but there was something natural, almost fatherly about the way he tended to her needs. His motive seemed purely to care, no lust could be seen of which she were grateful, she really did not suppose she could deal with those emotions at this moment in time.

Squirming at the blood, she looked down and was able to see for the first time the extent of damage that Darrin had inflicted on her. Beneath one of the huge gashes, plain to see was a section of bone that appeared broken. Like most wounds, it became apparently painful as soon as she could see it and a shoot of sudden pain rampaged up her leg, causing her to gasp and almost fall into the water.

Snape tightened his grip with the one arm and reached for her with the other as she gasped and nearly fell under the dirty bath water. He cleared the bath water once more and ensured that she was clean before lifting her out of the tub and moving her to an examining table which was padded with plush towels. She was shaking; he wasn't sure if it was because she was cold or from the pain, but he wrapped a large towel around her shoulders before propping her up to examine her leg. "I don't have the skill to heal this properly," he said. "But, I can bandage it and give you something for the pain."

She shook physically from the cold of only being covered by one item and clung to the towel that held her. She felt her teeth chatter, almost as if the cold was touching the piece of bone that was visible. Wavering with a hand, she stuttered, "I need to lie down."

Snape guided her into a laying down position, cushioning her head with a couple folded towels and placing another one over the top of her like a blanket. "I'll be right back, I need to find the potion I need," he said, petting the top of her head before turning to find Madam Pomfrey's stores.

Reaching for her wand, she closed the curtains despite the slowly rising sun and lit a few candles. As she saw his back turn back toward her, she quickly flicked the wand at herself, so that her face became somewhat clean and her hair twisted itself into a neat bun with one strand falling down at the side of her cheek. Slipping the wand back under the covers, she acted like she had done nothing at all but wait for him to return.

Snape came back with the potion to find Marcella resting comfortably, but her hair had been fixed. "You should be resting," he half-heartedly scolded her, walking up beside her and placing two glasses on the bed. He poured two servings of the potion and poured one down his own throat before handing the other to Marcella. After she graped the cup in her hand, he helped her to regain a sitting position so that she could take the potion properly. "It's just for the pain, I didn't think you'd want me to give you anything for sleep. But, if you wanted it, I can go and get it for you once I find some proper bedclothes for you and get you back into your bed."

"This bed shall be fine!" she said, almost scolding, throwing back the potion and immediately feeling the pain drain away from her body. But her eyes could still se the many gashes, cuts and bruises the duel had dealt her. "Stop fussing and take care of yourself." she said, sounding almost resentful of something. Lifting a hand, she took a pin from outof her hair and let it fall to her shoulders, a scowl on her face.

"I am taking care of myself," he frowned. Looking around the room he spied some spare gowns and walked over to them, he picked up the first on the piles and handed it to Marcella. That was when he realized that his robes were soaked and Marcella, once again was correct. He sighed and took out his wand, waving it and drying his clothes before laying down on the adjacent bed.

Slipping on the gown easily now that the pain seemed distant, she grinned at being right and replied, "As wise and as old as you might be, I'm still better than you at some things. Which reminds me, remember when we first met, I specifically remember telling you I loved potions. Perhaps we should have a contest sometime, make it interesting by having a bet. Say, the last one to finish adaquately buys the first round of drinks at the Hogs Head?"

"Oh come on, you can make more of an effort than that!" she moaned, exasperatedly. "You're my only company, and I'm both ill and injured and that is as far as you can entertain me? You disappoint me Severus." she said, allowing his name to roll off her tongue.

"Are you expecting me to sing and dance for you?" Snape laughed. "If you recall, I am also injured..... Well, what potion shall we brew?"

"You? Dance? Save me the torture..." she joked, laughing slightly. "I'm sorry sir, I forget your injuries. What would sir care for, a massage?" she asked, grinning, not quite belieiving her own cheek.
