Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.

Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.

This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".

Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.

In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.

But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.

Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.

The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.

In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.

Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.

Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.

Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.

"Yeah, I know I cut myself. But, what does that have to do with judgement?" she asked, honestly perplexed by his reaction to her carelessness. "I was just careless with all that broken glass. It was stupid, yeah but, not something to get all worked up about."

"Are you sure?" he said, narrowing his eyes. "Only after what Black did...I thought that maybe.." he sighed. "I was being stupid.." he half smiled. "I shouldn't underestimate your strength like that."

Kristi laughed. "I appreciate that you were so concerned for me, though. The cuts aren't that bad so, I just wrapped them quickly so I could deal with them later. Though... knowing myself, later would never come. I tend to get wrapped up in my work, " she responded, giving him a hug for his concern.

"So long as you're sure you're alright and that you'll clean it up.." he said, eyeing her, holding her by the shoulders at an arms length. Frowning, looking at all the shattered glass, he exclaimed, "What in the name of all that is sane, have you been doing up here?!"

Kristi's attention was suddenly drawn to the glass shards that were scattered over the floor near her desk. "I thought I cleaned it all up," she muttered, waving her wand over the mess so that is disappeared. "Oh, wait... Were we not supposed to use magic in the house?"

She looked apologetic at first but, didn't wait for a response as she explained what hse'd been doing to Nick, forgetting about Tonks for the moment. "I was taking that photograph out of the broken frame so I could see what damage was done. The glass shards were a little sharper than I thought and I was so worried about not damaging the picture further that I completely forgot about the fact that my hands would get shredded. I was going to press on with some research but... Well, here you are. I think I may have forgotten about dinner..."

"Well, I think you should forget about research for now and start looking after yourself. Let's go get some food down that neck of yours or, if you like, we could go out to eat. I'm sure Tonks would be more than willing to escort and guard us.." he said, turning to look at her, encouraging her to agree.

Kristi's eyes lit up at the thought of getting out of this house. While it was true that they hadn't been here but a couple days, it felt like an eternity. She normally would have loved being locked in this cottage but, not with the maniacs Dumbledore had entrusted them to. Tonks didn't seem as bad as the rest, though, maybe she would let them go. "How about it, Tonks?" she asked, grabbing Nick's hand and turning to face the young auror, her eyes full of hope.

Tonks watched the two talking, standing just inside the doorway, her mind wandering to the basement and what she thought might be goingon down there. Hopefully Remus had it under control.

She started when she heard her name, her eyes focusing once more on the young couple before her. 'Don't see why not,' she said, smiling at the thought of some fresh air. 'But no careless magic use ok?'

Pausing for a second, she glanced back down the hall, and walked further into the room. Unsure what to say she began. 'About Remus...' Her eyes crossed Nick's face and Kristi's, 'I thought you had all been told about his ..er..condition.'
Tonks felt her words getting more fuddled but continued, 'Clearly no one had told you though Nick. Remus is a werewolf, but he has his condition under control. He takes the Wolfsbane potion, and is quite harmless. You should all have been told before now. I'm sorry. I guess it was just overlooked.'

She finished at a rush, feeling some colour rise to her cheeks, and waited for their response, hoping that this revelation would not cause any more problems in the house.

"It's true we should've been told earlier," he said, frowning. "But it's also true that the fact we weren't isn't your fault. Dumbledore probably overlooked it as us coming here was a last minute decision and so he probably sorted out our security in a hurry too."

Standing, he helped Kristi up and nodded his head, "Right,w ell I say we should try to look as inconspicuous as possible. Tonks, you should perhaps walk a fair distance from us - that'd give us both privacy and protection. We should definitely try to fit in, this is a wizarding area but we're not supposed to be drawing attention to ourselves. I guess that means robes but nothing too flashy, nothing that shows our faces too much. It might not matter as much for me, apart from the fact that I've betrayed both my mother and father by being here but Kristi's safety is more important."

Kristi smiled at Nick's insistance that they not be flashy and she walked over to her wardrobe. Opening it to reveal nothing but an assortment of black robes she asked, laughing, "Hmmm... I'm not sure, you think these are too flashy, Nick?"

She took out one of her favorites and threw it on over her clothes. Then, she quickly took out some bandages and a vial of potion from a drawer in her desk, cleaned and bandaged the cuts on her hands, and then, stood to face the other two. "Alright, I'm all ready. When can we go?"

Tonks listened as Nick spoke, glad it seemed there was no further animosity.
'Just a quick hair change then,' she said, thinking of Nicks words. She walked to the mirror smiling, 'Then we can be off.'

She scrunched up her face, concentrating, and her hair straightened, turning a brownish colour. 'Right then,' she said turning to the two. 'We ready then? I'll let Remus know on our way down.'

"Wouldn't it be wise for Remus to come with us?" asked Nick. As much as he despised werwolves, the more protection, the better, he thought. "Besids, I hardly think it's kind to leave him alone having to deal with Riddle and Black constantly digging at each other."

At the mention of Marcella and that horrid man, Kristi made a face. "Do you really think it's wise to leave Marcella here alone in this house with that psycho?" she asked, torn between wanting to go out and concern for Marcella's safety. "Well, I suppose Marcella could hold her own and it won't be a total loss if she kills that dog in the process," she concluded, her desire to get out of the house outweighing her wnating to be a good friend.

Tonks looked unsure. 'Remus is pretty good with the peace bringing. I though maybe he might be able to settle those two a bit.'

"No offence to either of you but I think I know my sister a little better. She wont thank anyone for trying to get involved in a fight of hers, you'd just end up hurt. It's better all 'round if they stay and Remus comes."

"Okay then, it's settled, we're going and taking Remus with us," she said, grabbing Nick by the arm and walking out the door without waiting for Tonks. She practically dragged Nick down the stairs and then, turned at the bottom, realizing that Tonks was still behind them. "Perhaps you should invite him along, Tonks. I think he'd be more likely to believe our outing was sanctified if you were the one to ask him along."

Tonks almost laughed as Kristi pulled Nick out of the room. She followed them into the hall, nipping into her room for her cloak, which thankfully would pass for a rather large coat. She could hear the two going down the stairs as she took one more look in the mirror. 'Make sure you look normal this time Tonks,' she muttered to herslef. Assured, she set off down the stairs.

She nodded to Kristi as the two headed for the door, turning her feet towards the basement. She reached the door to find Remus bent over, trying to open the door, or listen or something. Stifling her laughter, she walked over to him and leaning bending down too, she looked intensly at the door as if trying to work out some puzzle.

'So,' she said loudly, her expression not changing though her eyes glinted mischeviously as he jumped, 'any luck, or are the dreambirds still at it.'
Straightening up she continued,' Nick and Kristi want to go out, get something to eat. I figured it'd be ok, as long as we gaurded them. There's a small village not far from here, if memory serves me right. Could be fun.'
She waited for his response, knowing that he could still overrule them, but hoping he would agree. 'I'm sure those two could do with some time,' she added, motioning to the basement.

OOC: I can see it now. Sirius is going to have to ask Dumbldeore to send the magical equivalent of "the pill". The last think Remus and he need is Kristie and Tonks in the family way, too. LOL!

Why do I always get the easy storylines? Hee, Hee!

Sirius sits and watches Marcella unsure as to what he can do for her. She needs the support of a woman, but he was all she had at the moment. He is also physically and emotionally drained. All he did was tell her the truth. Sirius can't believe Sinivallus took advantage of her. She is just a child. From her rambling it's obvious Snape and Marcella were lovers. Sirius shudders at the thought of Snape seducing her. She's the same age as Kristie for god's sake. His thin, cold hands on her warm,supple body; the thought of it makes Sirius ill.

Despite his feelings, Sirius had to find a way to comfort Marcella. She was a basket case, and it was his fault. The only other time he had faced a similar situation was with Faith. She had told her family and Snape she was pregnant. No one was thrilled by the news. Alone and vulnerable, she turned to her second big brother, Sirius. All he could do was try and comfort her the best he could. Tell her everything was going to be alright when he knew it wouldn't be. It worked with Faith. Sirius hoped it would work with Marcella, too.

He walks over to the bed and sits down next to her. "I never meant to hurt you," Sirius says. "I'm sorry I told you what I did," he continues as he wraps his arms around her waist and gives her gentle hug. Her body was so soft and tender next to his. "Severus would never hurt you. Yor right, he has changed. Dumbledore would never have let him take care of Kristie if he had not. My feelings for Snape run deep, but I should not let them cloud my judgement where you are concerned. Can you ever forgive me?" Sirius continues to hold Marcella close to him. He doesn't want this moment to end. Sirius would like to hold her in his arms forever.

ooc- gasp! I forgot Remus was indeed evesdropping, lol

Remus turned to Tonks, a blank, somewhat worried look on his face.

"Everything," he started standing, "looks better. It's too late to do anything either way, I'm sorry to say." He didn't say anything else rearding this, seeing Nick and Kristies were on their ways there. If he had ever knew this, Remus had never knew it as surely as today: Sirius was a complete idiot. And the worst thing is, Remus was being such an idiot, as much as dear Snuffles. Kind of a common thing is Sirius, to be this reckless, but Remus wasn't expecting to grow this stupid when at his precence. Blast it, it always happened when it came to Sirius and James; Remus fogot he was supposed to be the responsible, intelligent one and put a stop to it. But he had also been the coward to allow them to do whatever they please fering he would loose his friendship. By the look of it, Remus hadn't changed. Or at least not when Sirius was around, only when having him imprisoned in Azkaban and James no longer with them, he had a more adult attitude.

He didn't stop Sirius from saying it and, in all honestly, Remus didn't know if he wanted. He was to think the same of Snape as Sirius painted him, and he did, or so he thought.

Shaking his head to clear his thought, Remus turned and smiled at Tonks. "Well, I agree," he said, thinking, if he wasn't going to put a stop to it, and he wasn't, out of cowardize or whatever, he could as well go out away from responsibility. "To a village you say? Guess we could use with it. Only, first, let me have a word with Sirius, just to make sure eveything is OK." (And no one is deadly hurt, a voice added in his head)

Opening the door to the basement, Remus called into the darkness, "Sirius, Marcella, we are going out. Tonks said there's a village nearby and no one seemed to fancy my famous stew too much. You can chose to come or just had some of the stew left, though I daresay you need to heat it first. By the way..." Not able to come up with a more sublte way to say it, he blurted, "everything alright?"

OOC - lol the pill hahaha I'm sure Snape would have some potions she could use but the mentality she's in now she wouldn't get rid of it for anything.

She's either going to lose it somehow or keep it, it all depends on the level of stress and violence she has to deal with although because of the whole Faith thing it'd be interesting to see his reaction when they eventually see each other again.

"You don't believe that," she said hollowly, looking to his eyes, her fingers timidly touching his shoulder blades. His eyes were black, there seemed little life in them at all, little happiness. "You can try to lie to make me feel better and I can try to imagine Snape to be nice all I want but you knew him before I did. I know what he was and I was a fool to think he'd be able to rid himself of that entirely. I saw it in the arguments we had, whenever we got physical, there was always that dangerous lurk in his eyes but I suppose that's what attracted me to him. I've alwasy been surrounded by danger but at the same time this house, this place, being alone with him as safe...at least for a little while..."

She turned away, colour rising in her face for the first time, "Listen to me babbling on like this....it's stupid....I just didn't want to believe he could be like that but his past proves he could...but that's also right too. It's in the past...Faith is the past and just because he did it once doesn't mean he'd do it again...he didn't know about Kristi and even though that's no reason for killing Faith I cant imagine he'd do that to me...I just couldn't think that little of him...I have to be strong for him and for us and for Kristi and his child and I know his past and I know I should be wary but he's there and he's waiting for me and thinking of all of us and I just couldn't betray him in words like that..."

Her words seemed to exhaust her. She laid her head on his shoulder, as if collapsing from the weight of what she'd said, as she heard the door upstairs click open. Her eyes flickered up, she could just make out the subtle tones of Remus' voice. As he couldn't see them, she cleared her throat and decided for the pair of them, "I'd rather stay. I need my rest. It probably wouldn't be safe for all of us to go anyway. You lot have fun and be careful." she added, feeling suddenly extremely motherly.

Nick watched Remus check on his sister and that man. As much as he wanted to run down there and ensure she was alright he knew she wouldn't thank him for it. Marcella was a stubborn person, she wouldn't put up with him trying to the patriarchal male taking all the responsibilities and worries. Holding Kristi's hand tighter, he nodded in response to Marce's reply and yelled down to them, "We'll bring some supplies back. It's only 6pm, some shops should still be open and hopefully the unfolding darkness will serve as a shield for us. Look after yourselves!" he shouted, more at his sister than that raving mad man.

"Let's go," Kristi said, tugging on Nick's hand, eager to get out of the house. She had pretty much forgotten about Black being there with Marcella, so quick she was to accept her word that they were fine so that they could go.

Tonks twirled her wand, absently sticking it through the hair behind her ear. She shifted beside Remus, waiting for him to finish. Finally, hearing Kristi's impatience, she moved to follow the two out the door, saying to Remus over her shoulder, 'We'll be outside then Remus. Hurry yeah?'

She wandered off towards the door, not waiting for his response. She walked out the door, feeling the crunch of the gravel beneath her. The sound made her feel even more expectant. Oh it's good to be out of that house, she thought, watching for Kristi and Nick.

There was a gentle but chilly breeze, ruffling her cloak and making her cheeks turn redish. The sky was growing dark, stars beginning to pop out against in the clear night sky. Tonks looked up happily, recalling her childhood, and star spotting with her mother. She found the great square of Pegasus, and followed it to her mothers namesake, gazing up, a bitter sweet happiness filling her.

ooc- don't think we ever found out if Andromeda was dead or not, but I always felt she was.

Remus heard Marcella's voice reply and nodded, but instead of moving away he hesistated. Nymphadora - no, Tonks -, she seemed to sense this and retrieve instead of dragging him along. But, honestly, there was nothing else to see or do.

Sighing soundly, Remus closed the door of the basement and started out. It seemed like it was a good day outside. He came out right after Nick and Kristie, and looked about at the place. Indeed, it didn't look that terrifying with daylight, as it had been his first impression. Catching up with Tonks, unnoticed first, Remus asked curiously, "Beautiful sight, isn't it?" He looked up as well, "Well, if that's what you're staring at."

He shook his head at his own joke in a 'nevermind' fashion - he was supposed to be the adult here but he definitelly was not acting as one. "Tonks, sorry, but I wanted to ask you how things went and how's the situation in general. You know I've just arrived. And seemly already messed up, my big mouth." He sighed tiredly, not wanting to remember his... situation.

Tonks looked over to Remus as he spoke. 'Yeah,' she said, a smile forming on her lips, 'It always reminds me of Mum.'

Glancing up once more, she quickly shrugged and turned back to him. 'You didn't mess up Remus. They just hadn't been told. With all the drama we've had so far, it just caught them on edge.'

She turned to Kristi and Nick. 'Well,' she said happily, 'lets go then. You two should probably go a bit ahead, and we'll cover you from the back.'

She turned back to Remus as they started off. 'Well, I suppose I should fill you in so far,' she began, a slight weary sigh evident in her voice. 'The journey was tense, to say the least. We got to the house in one piece, but almost in the door the fighting started, particularly between Sirius and the girls. Must be something to do with the whole Sirius-Snape past thing.' Tonks shrugged. She'd never fully understood the animosity between those two.

'Then lets see,' she continued as if counting of fingers, 'Marcella almost smothered sleeping in the attic on a pillow provided by Sirius. That didn't go down too well. We went looking for Mad-Eye, who'd been gone for a while, finally finding him when he attacked Nick.'

Tonks thought for a minute. 'That's about it,' she finished resuming her watch on the pair ahead, 'just been more fighting since then. But it's gotten worse, as you could see.'
