Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.

Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.

This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".

Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.

In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.

But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.

Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.

The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.

In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.

Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.

Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.

Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.

"No, I don't. And be glad I'm tied up because that definitely deserved a good smack on the side of the head," she said before sighing. "I'm so bored. I can handle being locked in a room with something to do but, this is torture."

He shrugged. "That comes as no surprise;most things that come out of my mouth warrant a slap."

"Maybe they wanted to torture us, although I can't figure for the life of me, why. Because, it's hardly going to quell us, is it?"

"I think maybe they're sick of us and just didn't know what else to do. If they weren't so nobel, they probably would have just killed us," Kristi attempted to shrug. "This waiting around is going to be the death of me. What do you think is happening out there?"

"I don't think they'd have gone that far however if they were really bored and gone in the head, they might've decided to physically torture us," he said whilst making an unappreciative face. "That wouldn't have been good."

He shrugged for the second time. "Isn't it obvious? They're going to try and catch your father and my sister. And there's nothing we can do about it; this time it's all up to them."

"I figured that much. I was more wondering what sort of strategy they finally decided upon and whether or not they've actually started doing anything. I can't believe they managed to catch us. It seems it takes them ages to decide what to do and then another few decades before they actually implement their decision."

"But if I can't think, what else am I supposed to do? I suppose I could try and fall asleep, that's about all we can do all tied up like this," she said. "I'm going strangle Black the minute I'm free."

Sirius lets go of Sunny boy's arm, nods at Tonks, takes up his position by a tree near the cottage, and transforms into a dog. He waits for Tonks to create a diversion with the fire.

Once Sirius and Sunny were ready, Tonks crept forward, peering in a window at the fire. She raised her wand, focusing closely through the glass. After a minute, she sighed in relief as the fire flared, turning a purple colour for a moment before starting to spew a thick black smoke. Within minutes the room was really starting to fill, and Tonks, satisfied, moved back to stand near Sunny facing the door.

When Marcella awoke, she found that Snape too had fallen asleep. But that, she was afraid, was the least of her worries. She could barely open her eyes and before she even managed to do so, a hacking cough erupted from her chest. Taking Snape by the arm, she shook him hard, trying to shout gasps in between sneaken breaths. "Fire...fire..."

Sunny flicked away the slobber from his arm. "Disgusting..," he uttered under his breath, before doing a quick cleaning charm on it. Sunny always was a cat person.. He let Sparky's words roll off him, much like the slobber and got in position. It was strange to him that they were so cautious.. about a girl. Sure she might be powerful, but she was no match for him, Sparky, and an Auror. He was much more worried about the Dark Snape... the murderer. Sunny wanted to kick the door open and just go for him.. but held back, his wand held high. "Any second now..," he said smiling over at Tonks as she prepared..

Snape cursed as he was awakened by Marcella. The room was filled with smoke. He attempted to dispell the smoke with a wave of his wand but, it wasn't working. If he hadn't fallen asleep, he may have been able to prevent this. He squinted over at Marcella and stood, dragging her up with him. "We have to go. The others in the cottage may have seen the smoke already, I hope you got enough rest," he managed to choke, as he led her to the door and opened it, the smoke billowing out before them.

Sirius is well aware of that fact and takes offence to Sunny calling them old men. He'd like nothing better than to see the old man hex Sunny into next week.

Sirius watched over by a tree for the door to burst open. When it did he was surprised to see both Snape and Marcella coming out together. This was a turn of events Sirius hadn't forseen. Knocking Snape down and over powering him was one thing, but the last thing Sirius wanted to do was hurt Marcella in her condition. He looked over to where Tonks and Sunny were standing. As usual Sunny couldn't keep his eyes off of Sirius's cousin. Sirius gave out a faint whine hoping to get Tonk's attention. He wanted her opinion as to what he should do.

She coughed several times before she managed to drag herself up off the bed. But even then she fell to the floor on all fours, panting madly. Remembering that in cases like this, it was actually advisable to be as close to the ground as humanly possible, she began to crawl forward, her eyes stinging, sweating, her breath becoming shorter, until she felt she could breath no more. Feeling faint, dizzy and extremely sick due to the smoke inhalation, she collapsed in a heap, her head sliding to the floor, limp.

They were very nearly there but, she collapsed just before making it outside. She would be fine once she got some fresh air but, he didn't know what sort of adverse effects this would have on the unborn child. Snape lifted Marcella into his arms and carried her the last few feet out the door.

Just before she lost all feeling in her body, she felt someone pick her up and carry her out of the door. The shock of fresh air to her lungs, made her cough and choke violently, so much so that it woke her up. Weary, exhausted, she hacked as her eyes stang and ran some more. She looked around but because of the tears in her eyes, she could see nothing.

Tonks groaned as the figures emerged, hearing Sirius whine gently She'd expected they would exit together, but why Marcella needed to be carried she couldn't tell. The smoke wasn't real, it shouldn't have affected her that way. Pushing the thoughts from her mind, she raised her wand, figuring the two wouldn't be grasping their wands tightly. 'Accio wands,' she muttered quickly, her own wand trained on the house. She deftly caught their wands as they flew into her hand, glancing briefly to Sunny.

'Immobilise and Levitate,' she suggested, glancing quickly back to their quarry, not sure how they should procede. The last thing she wanted was to endanger Marcella or the unborn child. She shook her head quickly at Sirius. That plan was out the window. With any luck, he'd act on instinct now.

tonks didn't say the smoke wasn't real so i didn't know!

Wiping at her eyes, she felt something clip the back of her head. She turned and saw her wand and Snape's shooting out toward someone. The realisation of what had happened hit her. They were trapped. She tried to stand, but just slumped back to the floor. What were they to do now?

Snape was too busy trying to tend to Marcella, coughing and sputtering in his arms and then attempting to stand on her own, to notice the figures lurking in the tree. Before he could, his wand was flying out of his pocket, along with Marcella's. They were caught and there was nothing he could do about it at the moment because he was too focused on Marcella. He shook his head and wondered when he'd become such a noble wizard. They could try to make a run for it but, he knew they'd never make it before one or both of them was hexed, not to mention the fact that Marcella was in no condition to be running anywhere.

She felt utterly helpless. Looking up, she caught Severus' eye. The look he gave her confirmed to her that what she thought was happening, was indeed happening. There was a certain helplessness in his eyes. Despair. Tired of running, tired of trying, she pulled him down next to her and kissed him before resting on his shoulder.

"Is that really necessary?" Sunny asked looking over at the two of them. They obviously were exhausted and helpless. Sunny stepped out from the shade of the trees, his wand hanging discretely in his right hand. "Need some help with her?" he asked neutrally.

Tonks sighed, stepping forward. 'Yes, it is necessary,' she said resolutely, determined not to hesitate in front of them again. 'Severus,' she said, stepping ahead, her wand held ready in front of her. 'Are you ready to stay now, or is this going to have to be difficult?' She knew better than to trust appearances, but she sincerely hoped that their seeming acceptance was genuine, and that they would come into custody easily.
