"I'm really sorry about that," she said, biting her lip with frustration. She wished that that Emily girl would just back off. "But, yeah, lunch is good..." She smiled as he brushed her hair out of her face. "And I'm gonna try to meet more people after lunch. And I'm excited to see what I'm gonna learn too." Just then the lunch bell rang. It felt like they had just sat down together to eat, and now they had to go to class again. They packed up their stuff and made their way out of the cafeteria to their classes. |
"That's better, honey" he agreed, "And I forgot to tell you, If Emily tring to launch on you, when you're alone, just take care, and if it goes beyond your limit, call any professors for help.." he looked up at her gorgeous face, "I'm worried about you, now.." his voice was full of concern. They stopped at the spot where they should depart for their classes, he spoke again.."See you..soon.." he gave her a quick peck on her cheeks and walked away with his usual smile. |
She hugged him while he showed concern for her. "I'll handle her if she tries anything. Try not to worry about me, sweetie." She gave him a kiss on the forehead and said her goodbye to him before walking into her class. It was an interesting lesson, and before se knew it the day was over. When she walked out of the classroom Nick was waiting for her. She smiled at him. |
"There you're, Honey...." he greeted her cheerfully, as they were walking towards the parking lot. Once they got inside, he asked, "So...anything new, honey?" he started the engine, and sped up on the road. He was worrying.. |
"Not too much really," she said looking at him as he drove. "We had an interesting lesson and I made a few friends. It was nice. Anything... new with you?" She hesitated a bit, as she didn't really want to bring up the subject of Emily again. She was hoping that he managed to avoid her after that embarrassment at the lunch table a few hours before. |
"That's good to hear, apart from the slight disappointment in the afternoon" he shook his head, still it was haunting him. It should not be like this, her first day of Uni. "Friends are good, People here are always nice to move around, there are exceptions too.." he turned to her and gave a little wink. |
"Yeah, that was definitely not a fun experience..." she said sighing. "But hopefully we can get that taken care of soon." She gave him a weak smile. "And I noticed that," she said returning his wink. By this time they had reached the house again. They got out of the car and went in with all of their stuff. It seemed that his parents weren't around. "I wonder where they are..." she said curiously as she settled down on the couch and turned on the TV, looking for something good to watch. |
Nick smiled back with some relief, atleast untill next day. when they reached the house, the house seems empty, but he knew that they should be in3rd floor, playing something since it was their routine. "Nope..they should be in the upstairs, prolly playing cards or chess. They are like really enjoying the evening time with their play and talks.." he said as he removed the shoes and walked over to the Fridge to get something for them to refresh. |
"Oh, okay," she said as she was still looking for something to watch. She settled for an entertainment show. She listened as: "And we are the first to report that best-selling author Mischa Temaul - who coincidentally will be attending a book signing here in London tomorrow evening - is now engaged to actor Gaspard Ulliel. This will come as a shock to most viewers, as they only started dating six months ago" Tina let out a loud gasp in excitement. |
Nick returned with two coke cans and handed it over to Tina and settled down with his on the couch. "what are u watching? seems like some book release.." he asked and closed his eyes as he leaned back on the couch. He was dead tired after a hectic day, almost all school hours. |
"Yeah, my favourite author is doing a book signing over here in London tomorrow," she said excitedly. "Can you take me Nick?" She turned to look at him and saw how tired he looked. "Are you okay? Maybe you should rest a bit..." She looked concerned. |
He heard her in half sleep, "Sure, honey" he asked, "when?? can we make the time, 'cuz we have Uni tomorrow.." he informed her, just in case what if she could forgot that in excitement. "Yes, I'm tired and let me take a nap.." he went to his sleep within some minutes. |
She couldn't help but give him a big hug, kissing him on both cheeks when he said he would take her. After letting him go again she said, "Oh, it's not until the evening, so we will be home by then." She smiled. But noticed that he had started to drift off. "Okay, have a good rest," she said kissing his forehead. |
Nick moved and opened his eyes where he was lying on. He was on the couch, looking around for others. He spotted Tina, still watching TV sitting beside him. "Oh, honey, you're still here? Why dont you take some rest, then we can go out..as I promised y'day?" he asked as rubbing his eyes. He felt better after a brief nap. "I've very less homework today, and I forgot" he paused, "what about yours?" |

Nick kissed back on her cheek, "Then there's no problem, I'll go and refresh a bit before go out..and I need to call my friends too.." he nodded and climbing up the stairs to his room. "Get ready fast, honey" he told her from the upstairs and went to his room. |
"Yeah, I will," she yelled at him from her room. She quickly changed her clothes and put her hair in a clip. She was going to do her work first, but decided to wait. She quickly finished up and then went to knock on his door to see if he was ready as well. |
Nick heard the door was knocked. He knew that it would be Tina by the time he finished his work and fully ready to go out with her. "Yesh, honey, you should not ask permission..you can come at anytime..." he told and grabbed her by the waist, pulled closer to him. "I miss this beauty for the whole day...impossible.." he winked and tracing her face with his thumb. |
"Okay," she said laughing as he pulled her closer. "But I thought that you might now want me intruding on you." When he traced over her face with his hand she decided to make him wait a bit. "Not yet," she said pulling away slightly. "I want to know where you're taking me." She stuck out her tongue at him playfully. |
Nick smiled and pulled her again, tracing her cheek bones, "Are you sure? " his fingers moved down on the neck, "If you think so, I wont compell you.." he said and let her go gently. |
"Thank you, you're a lot more understanding than my other boyfriends were..." She give him a peck on the cheek. "We can when we get back home again." She smiled. "And I just noticed that you own a soccer ball," she added, laughing. "I'm gonna have to play against you some time. I've been playing that sport for a long time now, even been on teams. So be prepared." She winked at him playfully. |
Nick shruged, "Okay, no prob." but puzzled the comment on her other boyfriends. Naturally been! But pushed off his unwanted thoughts like a shirt he moved on. "Yeah, I've honey, I used to play with my brother ...I'm glad you like that too" he paused, "I didnt know this so far" he smiled and walking out of the door with her. |
"Yeah, so we really should play some time. I'd love that," she said as she walked with him to his car. She was excited to go out with him. "So where are we going?" she asked him happily as he started the car and they drove off. |
He shrugged, "Dunno honey, at present i've no idea ..but we can go somewhere less crowded place" and asked her whether she took her jerkin. He remembered the last time horrible moments. Finally he pulled off the car in front of the movie hall. They were entered the hall after got their tickets. The movie was such a thriller. |
"Okay," she said smiling. "Yep, I have a coat now. I don't want a repeat of that last incident either," she said laughing. She went with him into the theatre happily and they went to look for seats. "I've wanted to see this movie for a while now," she said smiling. She waited eagerly for the previews to end and the movie to start. |
