••KA: RPotW•• ->The Delameres "I don't want to leave the comfort of this place- but still, there is an unexplainable longing to escape it." http://www.snitchseeker.com/members/...e8207-sign.jpg The following sign was plastered all over the streets of London. It was the essential gossip for the early summer nights, when witches and wizards wondered. Who was unhappy enough with their lot to give it up entirely? To have a new life of service under the mysterious Delamere's, an ancient family that hadn't surfaced amongst the elite in years? The rich, who hated their lives? The poor, who found a chance at survival? The purebloods may never be the same. So, on the clear June night, the servents assemble, looking down to a mansion, plopped precariously in a villa nestled deep in a valley. Who they meet, no one would expect. The Delamere's turn out- beautiful siblings in their late twenties, somehow irresistable. Somehow beautiful, powerful... dangerous. Friendships are made between servant and master. Alliances. Romances. Everything seems fine, at first. Adjusting to life as a servant is easy with such kind masters. Nice, if a little dark. Romantic, if a little dangerous. And then, everything goes wrong. The servants are losing their power. Simple magic becomes unreachable. And all of a sudden, it makes sense why the Delamere's wanted powerful purebloods. But escaping seems impossible. After all, the hypnotism of the Delamere's is stronger than ever as they steal the powers of their servants. And with little to no power... Is it possible to find freedom? Can they find the will to seek it? Characters What I worry about with the characters is that everyone will choose females, and for a more... ahem... dynamic cast, we need men and women. So, if you take a character, please pick a gender that is in the minority at that point. I also listed 8 Delamere's. We can have more or less, depending on how many people sign up. Varying ages. The Delamere Siblings Antonin Fiacre Delamere - BluePhyre Iris Delamere - xiiWishiWasYours Richard Delamere - Gryffindorgurl Edith Delamere- Gryffindoll Dozer Delamere- Riverlynn (M) Violet Emilia Delamere- samthehpfreak Marie Antoinette Delamere- Emms Laura Delamere- city_girl_95 Patrick Delamere- Hollister Damon Delamere- Wood'sLittleFlower The Servants Taylor Flint - xiiWishiWasYours Ava-Mercy Estrella Moncur-LadyEsperanza Dominic Reynolds- Gryffindorgurl Colton Ballard- WoodsLittleFlower Fabien Westenberg-Gryffindoll (M) Sonjia-Riverlynn (F) Julia Hennington- Emms Luciandus Bartholemew Viteri Freya Kerensa Wilde -BluePhyre Victoria Maith- IluvvDracoMalfoy RULES (MHEEEP!) I want this thread to actually go somewhere. So please post. If you wanna flake out, go ahead. TELL ME FIRST, though. And then I'll replace you. Not only are one liners not cool, you know they aren't cool. Please don't make this or this or this your color. Eye strain isn't okay. Quote:

YESH to all of you. Falalala. Now, post bios while I have to put in all of your names. *mumbles words you cant say on ss* PSST: Gryffindorgurl and xiiWishIWasYours, since you guys didn't specify, if you are guys, that would make us even on the sibling front. Which would be preferable. Just sayin. |
Here are my bios~ :3 SPOILER!!: Delamere Sibling SPOILER!!: servant -edit- eep. I just noticed you said that... do you want me to change? o-o;; |
Hello. Hoping to be a male sibling please. <3 (: |
Here is my sibling! I'll edit this with the servant when I can find a good picture :P http://i734.photobucket.com/albums/w...EdWestwick.jpg Name: Richard Delamere Nickname(s): Rick, Richy (only said to annoy him) Age: 19 Appearance: Hair: Dark brown Eyes: Chocolate brown Build: Muscular and athletic Personality: Richard is a bad-boy who wants to live his life to the fullest. He loves being royal and rich and all that, but sometimes he wishes someone would love him for who he is on the inside. He has good looks, smarts, everything he could possibly want. But he still isn't happy. He uses his charm to get him what he wants, but you can't use charm to get true love, can you? He's a joker and loves to make people laugh. He loves to eat too, but keeps in shape. Sometimes he puts on a disguise and wanders into neighboring villages. He just wants to see if anyone will treat him like a normal person. Tell me if you want to change anything :) EDIT: I present to you... the servant!!! *dramatic music plays* http://i734.photobucket.com/albums/w...jiygo1_400.jpg Name: Dominic Reynolds Age: 20 DOB: April 7th POB: Italy Appearance: Hair: Light brown Eyes: Clear blue Build: Tall and muscular Personality: Dominic seems like a very outgoing kid at first glance, and he is, but he's very shy around girls. He loves to have fun and will break any rules so he can to do just that. He hates authority and being told what to do, so sometimes he and a couple friends go out at night and graffiti some part of the city. He actually put graffiti on the Delamere house once before. He can play the electric guitar which he loves to practice with. His favorite color is dark green and he hates his parents. Hehe, as you can see I had a Gossip Girl faze :P |
Yes you may, Hollister. Yes you may. WOO! We just broke even on the sibling front. And no, iiWishIWasYours. But thanks. See, Hollister signed up for a boy... and so now we have it even... with a male majority. Did anyone see that coming? I did not. |
Bio: SPOILER!!: Laura Delamere |
Ahaha, thanks for putting me on the roster, hun. Hmm... Alright. Bios. SPOILER!!: Antonin =) SPOILER!!: Luci ;D |
SPOILER!!: bio Delemare SPOILER!!: Servant's bio Hope their okay :) |
Thankyou (: SPOILER!!: (: |
Woah. Laura is my name. O.O So, bio for my character: http://www.snitchseeker.com/members/...-delameres.jpg Age 20 Nicknames Ava, A, Estrella, Dove Place of Birth Kilkenny, Ireland Date of Birth December 18th Blood Status Pure Patronus Dove Boggart Abandonment Amortentia Lilacs, Summer nights, ashes History and Personality Ava-Mercy was born of a type-A pureblood mother and father. Cold. And when they abandoned her in a Manor in Kilkenny, the air around her was cold. But she built fires in the fireplaces, and put flowers in the vases, and made the mansion warm. She started volunteering around the city within the wizarding world when she was 14- her name suits her very much, and spent the best years of her life making other people feel good, with little thanks. Still, she felt there was something missing. When the posters for the Delameres went up, she saw it as yet another opportunity to help out a poor, unfortunate family. She is a bit naive, and can lack tact, because she will not be told she can't help someone. |
BIO BIO BIO! is it alright if I make her about 6 or 7? SPOILER!!: delamere child hows that? |
Biosssss. SPOILER!!: Edith Delamere SPOILER!!: Fabien Westenberg |
Do you need any more characters? Extras?? This story sounds so cool. |
IluvvDracoMalfoy, why don't you take a servant? Preferably male, but female is fine too. Wow, gryffindoll, was not expecting them to be that young, but that's fine. Wow, samthehpfreak, I REALLY wasn't expecting them to be that young, but if you can make it work, that's fine too. Full disclosure, though- I listed the siblings as adults in the plot synopsis, because it may be hard to make a child, "Dangerous and Romantic" as they are described, But if you can do that, Hats off to ya, and Go right ahead. Thanks for the bios. We have a few more to go, I think, and then we are golden. |
I am considering changing my servant to a girl because of Patrick :P |
Quote:
If you want, I can make her older, I'm totally fine with that. |
Haha. It's up to you. I don't think your character's age would affect her over all persona that much. xD |
Gosh... I feel like making another character. Only this time, a girl. I have this strange urge to RP my gender :xd: I've been strong, taking male characters... But I can't resist temptation anymore. Bio included. SPOILER!!: Freya |
Okay, I hope I do this right. Name: Victoria Maith Age: 14 DoB: September 12th Appearance Hair: Dark brown. (I mean really dark, like dark chocolate coloured.) Eyes: Dark green. Skin: Pale. Body: Lanky, long fingers and toes. Personality: Humble, cunning, witty. Has a strong sense of her surroundings. Blood: Pure, of course. Post colour: Violet. This colour! :D) House: Ravenclaw (is she supposed to be in Slytherin?) Okay, a quick question; when does this take place? How old is Harry? Or is he not born yet? I hope I did this alright, tell me if I need to make any changes. |
Name: Colton Ballard Nickname: Cole Age: 22 DoB: November 24th Blood Status: Pureblood Current Occupation: Servant for the Delameres Appearance: http://thomas-dekker.com/photos/albu.../set04/018.jpg Personality: Colton is a fun loving type of guy. He loves to talk and goof off of course. You most likely won't be able to get him to shut up. Even though he is talkative, he tries to turn it down a notch when he works for the Delameres. Cole truly doesn't want to anger them, or insult them in anyway, so he figures it's best that he says as few things as possible. He can also be quite flirtatious. You have been warned. He loves muggle things, despite being a pureblood. For example, he enjoys snowboarding and skateboarding, riding bikes and a bunch of other not-normal pureblood things. He has a good heart and is rather loyal to the friends that he makes. History: From a young age, Cole has always tried to defy his parents. Them being the spot on stereotypical pureblooded family, and him.. Well, not so much. He hates the stereotype, and refuses to follow it. The fact that it bothers his parents is just icing on the cake for him. Not really knowing his parents all that well, seeing as they were always working and didn't want much to do with him, he was raised by a nanny. He was a rather difficult child, never wanting to be told what to do, no matter whom it was from. Hogwarts was his perfect getaway. The one place he felt as though he could be himself without getting scolded or thrown into time out. He made many friends throughout his years there and never felt as though he belonged anywhere else after he had finished his final year. Once out though, he went back to his parents house, living there until he would find a job of his own. Cole never did find one though. But after one night of going out to dinner with friends, using his parents money of course, he saw a sign hung all around the streets of London that lead to his first job. Best of all? He'd be a servant. Just another way to irk the hell out of his parents. How's that? Oh, and if you need me to take another character to even it out a bit, let me know ^_^ |

That's fine, Sam. (Can I just call you Sam?) Good Luck! Wellp, I may ask you too, Lili now that Phyre has taken another servant, we have just one more servant than we do siblings. So. If you make another Delamere Brother, I think it would be ten on ten, way more than I had planned, but a nice, even number. Which means.... SIGN-UP IS NOW CLOSED! I am contacting those who are missing bios, and as soon as they are posted, we rp. |
Can I take a servant, please? Female :) Great plot, by the way! EDIT: Oh. Oooopsies, I soo totallly missed that last post. Fail. Sorry. |
Awwww.... I am late :( Great Plot! |
yes you can just call me sam :D |
Okie dokie. I have taken a family member like you said. Let me know if it needs changing :D Name: Damon Delamere Nickname: Dai Age: 24 DoB: April 10th Blood Status: Pureblood Current Occupation: Unemployed Appearance: http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...g?t=1280698846 Personality: Damon is the rebel brother. He tries his best to stay away from the family, but sometimes he just can't resist what they're doing to those poor purebloods. He's kind of standoffish and doesn't really like talking to people. But of course, he will eventually. Most often, you can find him leaning against the wall, in the shadows, observing everything that's going on around him. But of course, his quiet, yet strong, and brooding nature attracts most people, pulling them into the trap that he knows so well. He doesn't really enjoy sucking the magic out of people until the end, when he feels all of the power he's gained. But after the effects ware off, he feels somewhat guilty. Yet he still cannot stop himself from repeating the process over and over again. History: Shall be updated as the story goes along xD |
Hey, is there any way I can change one of my charries to a girl? Sorry, but the fact that I'm RPing two guys... is... different for me. :P I need to have a female to play. (But the truth is I'm not that good at RPing guys :D) |
Mheep. I'm sitting next to BluePhyre right now, and she's watching me have a breakdown, because I CAN'T SAY NO. I would feel awful. Buuuut.... To be honest, I'd really rather you not, and here's why- It worked out that we have perfect stats. Ten servants, ten siblings. Five males and five females in each group. It's so pretty. So perfect. That being said, I won't say no. I don't want to. It's your character. Do what you feel comfortable with. And then we'll see what goes down, I suppose. :) |
^ Tis true, tis true... |
Ahh, okay. Still not sure if that's a yes or a no, but whatever :P It's totally fine if you don't want me to. (It's just that SO MANY CUTE GUYS are now in this RP ) |
Sorry it took so long SPOILER!!: Dozer SPOILER!!: Sonja |
Sorry it took me like a million years , but I just put my other charrie's bio up in my other post. :D Aaaand I changed my Delamere charrie's age to 18. I hope that's better. ^_^ |
Thank you, everyone for the bios, changes, and lack of changes. *winks* Now... *counts* that's twenty bios... twenty charries... You know what that means- WE ARE READY TO RIP!!!! YEAAAAH! *ahem* So, to start, servants, begin gathering on the hill on that warm and eerie June night. Delameres... Be readying yourselves to meet them, all together. Ava-Mercy looked down into the valley at the villa. It seemed small, even though it was quite large, unassuming, even though its air was quite eerie. She felt the air move as she watched who she guessed was the family gather at its front gates. She was the first to apparate here thus far, which, she supposed, made sense. The flier said be prompt. It did not specify a time at which to be prompt to. So she stood, thin frame blown into a sway by the wind, curling her arms around her, her sapphire blue robes flying away from her to reveal the simple dress of a simple person, and as she shook out her wavy black bob and looked into the night, it seemed the simplicity of her life was flying away from her. And in a great rush, she wanted to run towards the house, be part of it, please... but she stayed where she was, looking honestly down at her new masters, waiting for something to happen. |
Laura stedied herself, waiting for her siblings and carrying Violet in her arms, she kissed her on her head, and held her even though she hated being carried, she often punched Laura if she held her too long, Laura looked up the hill, knowing that they would be coming down soon, she put Viplet down and stood, like a stautesque goddess, leaning against the pillar, her hair falling like waves over her waist skimming dress, she looked out to the night, to the moon that was lighting up the villa, and breathed in the air and waited for the new workers to come down the hill. They had a lot to learn. An awful lot... |
Colton stood atop the hill, hands slipped inside of his jean pocket. It was a rather warm night. Perfect temperature in his opinion. Cole stood there, remembering what had happened only moments ago. His parents threw a fit as he left. But of course, since he was over-age, he made his own decisions and they couldn't stop him from doing whatever he wanted to. So, he left them stunned and staring after him through the doorway as he apparated away. He looked over to his left, seeing a girl who was around his age, maybe a bit younger? He followed her gaze down to the house where he would soon come to know as his residence. Damon looked around the house, feeling just as uncomfortable here as ever. Things most definitely hadn't changed. Everyone was still being completely fake. Totally perky and happy and welcoming when they were setting a trap for normal, most likely good, people. Well, normal other than being wizards and witches of course. He couldn't stand it. But then again, he was with them so he might as well be mad at himself as well. He was such a hypocrite. Sighing, he looked up the hill to see that people had already gathered. But there weren't many. He could only see two, but still. They'd all arrive eventually anyway. He leaned against the wall gently and waited for the rest to arrive. |

Ow you little monkey! She shouted at her sister, glaring at her before turning at the sounds of footsteps Damon, Laura said, agnologing his appearance, no doubt he would still be annoyed about the plan, and to be honest she wasn't 100% keen on it, but you didn't argue with Antonin, not if you wanted to sleep peacefully, she looked at the boy who had just apparated on the hill, she blinked slowly and pulled her shrug round her shoulders as a breeze of cold air ruffled through the air, how long does it take them she said annoyed, tapping her foot against the stones on the ground |
Edith flipped the page she'd just finished reading on her newest book before placing the familiar crescent moon-shaped bookmark between in its thin pages which still smelled so fresh, held that smell of having never been touched, of sitting amongst hundreds of other books held tightly into place without a hand to disrupt its perfect shape. She loved that smell, that of new books. The girl set her book down on her bedside table before getting up from the bed and taking a moment to examine herself before the large full-size mirror. She straightened her neat and wrinkle-free clothes before pulling on her robes which were emerald-green in colour. This was the night the servants would arrive, and she couldn't help looking forward to seeing what kind of witches and wizards had honestly been dull enough - in her opinion, anyway - to throw their lives away to be house-elves to someone else. It was something she'd never do, she knew that much; and she pondered on it absentmindedly as she made her way out of her room and down the halls of the Delamere mansion, eventually reaching the outside, where she caught sight of one of her brothers and two of her sisters standing there already. Laura was there, looking flawless and absolutely perfect as always, something that came so natural to her, a sort of elegance Edith had not quite inherited; not that the younger girl really cared much for anything besides her alone time. She loved her siblings to death - something she'd never quite admit aloud - but she'd much rather spend her time away from them, which is why she doesn't really keep a close friendship with any of them, despite the fact they all live in the same house. She watched as Laura spoke to Damon, asking why it took everyone else so long - she wasn't sure if she was referring to the other Delameres or the servants there, and she cleared her throat softly at this. "Laura, Violet, Damon," greeted Edith, merely nodding her head just very slightly at each person, the very vague hints of a smile curving the corners of her lips only so very slightly before she turned her green eyes away from them and over to the hill, where only two to-be servants stood. ________________ Or rather, three servants stood. It was at that moment that a dark figure came into view, wearing black robes that contrasted so greatly with his light skin and golden blond hair. The clothes beneath those robes were black as well, but semi-formal and rather elegant in their taste. It was clear to anyone with eyes that this boy belonged to a high-ranked family of purebloods (at least in his homeland of the Netherlands, not so much in England), but what was probably not so clear and obvious was his personality, his personality which contrasted with his appearance almost as greatly as his robes contrasted with his skin. He came off as your typical snobby rich boy, but he was far from that, and those around him would learn eventually. He hadn't expected anyone to be here already; actually, he was hoping to be first, but it seemed that bit of his plan hadn't gone accordingly. He didn't mind, though, as he was soon distracted by the sight of the Delamere mansion standing completely by itself in miles of land. He couldn't help feeling a little eager to go inside already, to get a taste of what the Delamere family was like, of what their lifestyle was like. After a couple moments of simply admiring the sight before him, the boy turned to the other two people there who seemed close to his age, taking a moment to examine them absentmindedly. He wasn't one to jump into conclusions and judge people by their appearance, as he was pretty much a walking contradiction himself, and so he wasn't sure what to make of these two characters, what to expect of them or any of the other servants that would be arriving soon. |
Ava-Mercy twitched, feeling a pair of dark eyes on her. She turned, looking for the source, and her Irish green eyes alit on a well groomed looking man. She blinked. Not the type she would've expected to come here. But then, she was rich as well, and, having devoted her life to volunteer work, knew that the person inside was generally not similar to the cover they showed. And there was another one, not looking at her, but down on the villa, who looked more rugged, and more troubled. She grabbed the celtic triple spiral that hung at her neck, and sighed as no one spoke. "Sláinte chugat. Good health to you." She said, breaking the silence. She wanted to be of help to everyone who would cross her path, not just those to whom she was now employed. |
Fabien's dark eyebrows rose slightly as one of the people standing there with him, the girl with the short black hair, spoke, sharing with them her name and wishing them a good health. This was definitely not the greeting he had expected and not one he received often, but it only served to intrigue him as it had always been his nature to be curious; and at least now he was able to get just the slightest idea of what this girl who would be following a similar lifestyle to him from now on was like. "Fabien Westenberg," the boy shared with a polite smile that didn't necessarily match his attire. He couldn't help but be a little curious as to what had brought the other two here, to the Delameres, but opted best not to ask any questions. Yet, anyway. He'd learned from experience that most people didn't like being interrogated by strangers. So the boy grew quiet once again, his blue eyes turning back to the mansion where he could only very vaguely see some figures moving, some people arriving, people he could only assume must have been the Delameres. He couldn't help but notice, though, that the other two here seemed to be close to his age - something else Fabien had not expected. But they were all still so young, with so much life ahead of them, and they had all decided to spend that life as ... servants? "I was expecting to find myself surrounded by a group of elderly witches and wizards who didn't know what to do with the rest of their lives anymore, to be honest; probably helping them down the hill over to the Delamere's," confessed Fabien a little suddenly, returning his gaze to the other two. "If you don't mind me asking, you're... not even thirty yet, are you?" |

The turned his attention to the girl as she spoke. He gave her a quick smile. "Hello there." he said to his fellow employee, or what he assumed was his fellow worker/servant person. This would be fun, at least he assumed so if there were plenty of pretty girls here to talk with. "Good health to you as well." he replied kindly. Quote:

Richard Delamere leaned against the wall of the villa, his hands in his pockets. He looked around at his siblings, not saying anything. He looked up the hill at the volunteers whom had already arrived. He smirked. Unintelligent fools. They had no idea what was coming to them. The smirk stayed plastered on his face as he pushed himself off of the wall and stepped forward, getting a better view of their victims. Dominic Reynolds apparated onto the hill near the Delamere house. He saw some other volunteers there as well, but he didn't speak a word. He looked down onto the house and saw a boy his age staring back at him. He quickly looked away, looking at the other people up on the hill. He noticed a girl who'd spoken in a different language. He didn't respond, but smiled at her. It was the best he could do, with all the knots in his stomach right now. |

Antonin watched from the window in his room that looked over the entire front courtyard as the people streamed in one by one. With the eyes of an eagle, he grimaced whenever a male approached, smirked when a lovely lady made her way in. He had hoped there would be more women than men, but it seemed to be evenly balanced. With a sigh, he stepped back from the window, letting the drapes close, the darkness enveloping him for a moment of silence before she slipped out of his bedroom and down the grand staircase, out of the grounds, to the hill where they had all agreed on meeting to watch his feminine prey with an appraising eye, hoping they would make it easy for him and approach on their own. Luciandus walked towards where he knew the Delamere grounds to be, looking over the hill where everyone else seemed to be grouped around. Where these the right people...? There were enough of them there already, all of them extremely beautiful. He couldn't even tell who were his fellow servants and who were the masters and mistresses of the house; they were all so well-groomed. But some stood out more than others, a certain gleam of elegance about them. Were these the Delameres? They were... breathtaking. Freya roamed the streets, dressed in her masquerade outfit and carrying a bag of many, many more. She was a muggeborn - and an incompetent one at that - pretending to be a pureblood. She didn't particularly like this, either, but she wasn't going to back down. Freya had taken the good time to steal the dress robes she would be wearing for her role, and she was determined to prove herself better than any pureblood... in the world of purebloods. She might even be killed for such a thing, but she didn't care. What was her life anymore but something of a point for others to use in the fight for equality? She wouldn't arrive yet... She'd be fashionably late. Just to irk them, naturally. |
"Thank you." She smiled at the Rugged One and The Rich One in turn, and finally one who had just arrived. "And, no, not thirty. Ten years shy." She spoke to Fabien with a spirited Irish brogue. "But I lived on my own since 13. Started volunteer work at 15, and I loved it, so... this seemed like a perfect opportunity to help." she said, quiet and placid. She blinked at him. "I suppose you could call that my excuse for why I'm not 80. I myself was expecting more women." She looked around at the three men that surrounded her and chuckled without presumption, which was, perhaps, a bit naive. "Should we wait for others, or go down there?" |
Victoria quickened her pace as she approached the Delemare house. They pureblood family was widely known and powerful by now; surely they wouldn't just want servants for cooking and such; they must have house elves. This was something else. But what if it wasn't? What if it was not at all as she thought it would be? Maybe this was one of those big, life-changing decisions. "Yes", she thought, "Running away from home like this is a big deal, when you're serious." Victoria now approached a handful of people who appeared in their 20's. Her stomach churned. She wanted to disapparate on the spot. "But I'm not old enough", she thought bitterly, standing in a spot near them, staring off into the distance. |

Edith was vaguely aware of the other Delameres arriving at that moment, as her green eyes seemed fix on the group forming up the hill as yet another person arrived. How many would be coming this time? She couldn't help but wonder, and she couldn't help but feel just the slightest bit bad for this group. But for the most part, she didn't care; Edith was uninterested in others' lives, in others' problems, and preferred to spend her time away from them than around them. She wished she'd brought a book with her at that moment; these waits always took far too long, it was a little irritating. She pulled out her wand then, absentmindedly rotating it in her hand, causing a few sparks to emit from its tip. __________ Fabien listened attentively as the only girl of the group (so far, anyway) shared with him that she was ten years shy of thirty, more information than he expected to receive, but glad he did, as now he now knew her age. He'd always thought girls (or at least some of them) were wary of giving out their age, so he didn't want to be too straightforward with his earlier question. He nodded his head just very slightly in response, before she spoke once again, sharing with him more information he quickly made note of though he hadn't been expecting it. So she's lived on her own from a very early age and likes to help… Huh. That's interesting. He'd never really met anyone like that before. As the girl then continued, this time explaining that that could be her excuse as for why she wasn't eighty, the boy chuckled softly with amusement. "You may not be eighty, but you do have more experience in the… volunteer work and helping-people-around field than I do," he said, his gaze absentmindedly traveling back to the Delamere mansion, watching as yet more members of the family arrived. "You seem to come for a good cause, that's admirable," he added to the girl, turning back to her and giving another polite smile, though he wasn't about to go and share why he was there. Fabien grew distracted once more as his gaze returned to the mansion; but it was then that the girl spoke once more, asking if they should wait for the others or head over to the mansion already. The boy's brows furrowed slightly at this, not quite sure of the answer himself. "I'm not sure if we should wait for a signal from them," he said, referring to the Delameres. "But I would love get a head start on this; I suppose we could go, and if they don't want us too close yet, they will let us know in some way," he continued, turning back to the girl, his gaze a bit expectant as he wasn't sure what her own opinion was on the matter. He, himself, was rather torn. But a head start certainly made his curiosity happy. |
Laura ignored her youngest sister but agnologed her slightly younger one, out of the corner of her eye she could see Antonin and turned away from him to the boy who was standing near to the huge elegently laquered gates, he seemed just a little surprised and whilst she longed to meet this boy she knew that the family worked in unison, no one could go ahead before Antonin, that was the rule, a stupid one but a rule none the less |
Iris walked to where the rest of her siblings were a bit late but she was quiet and snuck in silently so it would seem as if she had been there the whole time, though she wasn't. Iris gave a small smile at the people that would be their servants. Looks were deceiving... She waited for her bother to choose, she wanted to choose one too and she didn't want it to take forever. Taylor walked quickly to the Delamere's household. Ugh. She couldn't believe she was doing this. She wondered if it was too late to run home, she didn't want to be here and she felt sick to the stomach. Ugh. Hopefully they wouldn't make her... shudder... clean. That was revolting. That was what house elves were for and if they wanted she knew quite a few that could be of service. She honestly didn't know why she was here, just because her mother and father said so she had to be. But she was scared... of breaking a nail. She did not want that to happen. It would be absolute torture. |

"Thank you." She said calmly. He wasn't exactly willing to share. And she wouldn't want to pry. And so, she shrugged her tiny, dainty shoulders, nodded her head at his last remarks, and loped down the hill in surprisingly long strides, hoping they would follow her. It was always better to have backup, and perhaps she would look less like a fool. She came to a fluid halt in front of several, beautiful people. She executed a deep curtsy and stood silently, with a smile in her eyes but a stone face. She knew she was unexpected in appearance, and hid her fear. |

Julie was inline next to some of her friends. It was a long line. The Delemare children were here and there was no fault with them whatsoever. They were all beautiful, like movie stars, like what Julie use to be. She saw a beautiful girl with blonde hair looking at her and smiling. She smiled softly at her, oh how she wished she was young again. Then she averted her eyes and kept an emotionless face on so, she would be chosen. |

Edith was distracted from absentmindedly playing with her wand as some of the servants began to walk down the hill and toward the Delameres, not having waited for a signal or anything of the sort. Well, this group was certainly a little more daring than the last. But it wasn't enough to catch her interest, and she merely studied them with inquiring green eyes, not for a second ripping her gaze off the group. Many of them looked older than her, others actually looked younger than the eighteen-year-old girl; but that was as far as her observations would go. She just watched them now, no traces of friendliness or unwelcoming on her serious and rather blank expression. She just wanted to get a servant and head back to her room and finish off her book. Why did these things have to take so long? "Must we stand out here much longer?" asked the girl of her siblings, not specifically addressing one but rather all, to whomever would know an answer. |

Dominic walked down the hill with the rest of the group. He stood behind the girl he'd noticed, almost peeking out from behind her. He was seriously freaking out about this. His stomach was in a trillion knots. He felt like throwing up. There were lots of pretty girls here. What if one of them picked him? |
Edith restrained herself from rolling her eyes at her older brothers - the only living, breathing reasons she sometimes disliked being a part of this family; this whole idea of the servants was, after all, for the most part their idea. So, the girl went back to examining the servants absentmindedly for a moment before beginning to twist her wand in her hands, in a way that silver sparks to emit from the wand's tip, boredom written on the girl's face. If they could just finish this any time tonight, or perhaps in the next couple years, that would be absolutely amazing; she had a book waiting for her, and she didn't like having to leave a good story at a cliffhanger. |

Fabien gave a soft sigh as the girl with black hair took the initiative and quickly made her way down the hill, quickly to be followed by the others in the group, none of which were eighty or elderly people as he had expected. He gave a faint smile at this, shaking his head slightly to himself before he began to make his way down the hill and toward the mansion that seemed to grow in size the closer he got to it. The edges of his robes were losing their pure black colour as the dirt from the ground met the dark fabric. But he didn't mind, quietly making his way down in steps that were neither rushed or sluggish, coming to a halt at the far back of the group, keeping his posture straight as was just habit for him, blue eyes taking a moment to roam over the Delamere family. So these were the Delameres. Good looking group, he had to admit; but he wasn't here to look at pretty girls or anything of the sort. That had never been his interest. He was here to explore and learn of this family, to quench the thirst he felt for knowledge and satisfy the curiosity he had always felt about this family, which in itself was the biggest mystery he had ever come upon. Edith noted the tall blond boy who looked like he led a lifestyle that was far too comfortable to make him want to run away and become a servant, but made nothing of it. She didn't care what these people were here for, as long as they could get this little ritual over with quickly and they shined her shoes properly. She turned her gaze to the girl at the very front of the group, the one with the black hair, and her brows furrowed just very slightly as she then caught sight of one of her brothers staring at her shamelessly, keeping his gaze glued to hers. Well, he'd obviously made up his mind. She paid no attention to it though, and turned back to the servants, examining their expressions, easily able to distinguish those who were nervous and light-headed to those who were calm and collected. She sure hoped she could end up with a relaxed servant; the nervous ones always messed up and broke things; it drove her insane. |
Colton stared from atop the hill as people began to go down towards the house. And of course, the girl who had gone down towards the house first was the girl whom he had arrived only moments after. Shaking his head, with a grin on his face, he watched them from the hill, still a tad bit uncertain about walking down. Eh... What did he have to lose? Not much... but still.. it could be fun.. and it was certainly an adventure. Eh, what the hell. He descended down the hill slowly, careful not to stumble. Merlin knows how many times he's done that. Damon watched as all the servants made their way down the hill. Wow. Adventurous little buggers. He shook his head. They probably shouldn't have been doing that.. But whatever. It was their loss, at least in the end it would be. Cue the smirk. He was unsure about who he would end up luring into his trap.. but then again, he usually didn't worry about it. They almost always came to him. So, no worries. It would happen eventually. With time of course. |
Gosh I'm so lost lol...but I'm gonna jump right in. Dozer popped into the backyard hands stuffed into his pockets. He was late as usual. Surveying the scene he caught sight of several of his siblings and gave a cocky smile. This was going to be an interesting experiment to say the least. He caught sight of several very attractive looking ladies and his smile grew wider. He wasn't exactly thrilled to be back here, it certainly wasn't where he wanted to be but sometimes family ties overrode personal wants and needs. His smile still stayed in place however. The last thing he needed was one or more of his siblings on his back. He spotted Damon and headed that way. "Damon. How're things?" Out of all of his siblings, Damon and him were the most alike. The two of them spent the most amount of time away from home. Sonja apparated at the top of the hill slightly late but that couldn't be helped. Her eyes alighted upon her future home with an appraising eye. So this is what rock bottom looks like. With a dry chuckle she shook her head. This was the last chance that she had. She felt a small burn of anger start up in her gut as she stared at the house. Her caramel colored eyes swept over the estate and felt a pang of disgust. She wanted nothing more then to burn the place down but she couldn't do that. Resigning herself to her fate, Sonja descended the hill and stood at the gate doorway. Her black traveling cloak billowed around her slight frame as she moved. Her hood was still firmly in place was she pushed through the gate and stepped into the shadows. She would stay there for the time being. |
Victoria followed suit as the servant-to-be's made their way to the Delemare house. She was nervous and paranoid, not trusting any of these people. Why should she? Not one had spoken to her and she didn't blame them. She wouldn't either, seeing how much of an age difference there was between her and some of them. Sulking in the back of the group, she began to fall into her typical panic mode. What if they decided she was too young? And to go back to her family so soon? Only a few mere hours after she had left? That would mean trouble and humiliation. The only one she had told of her whereabouts was her younger brother, and she knew no matter how much anyone bullied him, he would not tell. He just wouldn't. And then there was the note -but that didn't leave much information. She tried to push those thoughts out of her head and focus back on the Delemare's. They appeared to be the same age as the surrounding wizards and witches surrounding her. A gentle, warm, summer breeze brushed passed them but she shivered all the same. |

Dai looked over and saw one of his brother's enter the house. Following that, heard his brother's voice. It was Dozer. The two got along pretty well, Better than Damon got along with the others at least, because of their shared hate of being cooped up in this dreadful house. "Dozer." he greeted with a sharp nod of his head. "Fine, just not happy to be here again." he frowned. But of course, Damon could be nice at times so, he continued the conversation. "And yourself?" |
Violet had remained silent, which was odd for Violet. She wasn't sure if she liked these people, they were coming into THEIR HOUSE and she had never met them before, better not come in her room she would go insane. As they came closer, she just eyed them a little bit evilly, like all normal 6 year olds. |
Laura turned and saw the rest of her family standing around the gates, looking up to the new slaves like herself, she saw Antonin stare most intentley about the girls, she glared at him, whilst he was no doubt planning his take down for the girls. Oh my god pick one already!!! She snapped, bored and cold, her hair quivered in her anger and the cold, she pulled Violet near the gates, so that if Antonin did lose it, she would be out the way. Laura glared at her brother with a steeley look, as though daring him to lose it and try and attack the person who had told him what to do-herself. |
Violet hated it when people pushed her around, HATED IT! She almost retaliated by yelling and freaking out and saying that she was as good as her and she had read more books than her, but she didn't. She merely starting mumbling darkly, a few snippets being "older... younger...idiotic... books... just... right..." and so on and so forth |
Patrick Delamere walked up to the rest of his siblings, who seemed far too eager to meet petty servants. He stood next to Antonin, the only one older than him by a year, and crossed one leg infront of the other. He stubbed out his cigarette on the floor and put his hands in his pockets. "We get to pick our favourite one? How exciting." Patrick smirked and rubbed his hands together. He noticed how the res tof his siblings were getting annoyed at waiting for Antonin to pick someone, but he couldn't wait. Oh, all the fun he could have with this servant. He needed someone to wait on his hand and foot anyway. |

He could tell she was female but her hood hid her features. He could however see her odd colored eyes shining out through her hood. He nudged his brother and pointed the figure out. "What do you make of that one?" Then he looked at his brother curiously. "Or have you picked one already?" Dozer shoved his hands deeper into his pockets. "I gotta tell ya. I don't much take for this whole thing. Stupid as they are to come here I still don't relish the task." He probably shouldn't have said it so blatantly but there it was. From where they were at no one would have been able to hear them so it didn't matter either way. |
Richard had glanced at the hooded woman again. "Wow." Was all he could think. She was extremely beautiful. Not one you would expect to accept the job of a servant. Richard was starting to change his decision about which one he wanted. Dominic stood next to Ava-Mercy, hands in his pockets. Would they just pick one and get it over with? It was getting really cold and he only had a t-shirt on. |
Iris's eyes still roamed, trying to find the one she wanted. But why did they all look so much older. Iris felt the beginning of her pout to appear but quickly stopped, she had to act all snooty. That wasn't hard. Iris didn't know which person to pick, must it really be so hard? Whichever one seemed the cutest and the strongest... ir would be fun watching them fall apart. Heh. Taylor looked at all the Delamere siblings. These were the people she had to serve? Uhm, they weren't much older and they could get a house elf. She stood next to someone, random person, she could care less. And waited. They were being picked now? Don't pick her, don't pick her! She hoped they didn't pick her and she could go on home to her parents. Better than being here. And she had told Ann shopping tomorrow in Paris! How terrible! |

Julia felt someone looking at her. It was that long blonde haired girl again. She was pointing towards her and talking to a girl, a little bit older. Julia put two and two together and thought that she was talking to her sister. She turned around, they were all so intimidating. |
Patrick snorted at his sisters. "Cute? There's no such thing as someone being cute AND strong at the same time. If you want a strong person, then them being cute defeats the object." He shrugged. Why would you want someone cute anyway? How boring, they weren't here to pick a puppy or a kitten, or any baby animal for that matter. |

Iris then pouted. "C'mon, you already chose! Help me," she said. She was never good at deciding on these things. She always needed someone to help her or it would take her longer than it took Antonin to decide. She then followed Maire's finger to the girl. Iris gave a warm, friendly smile to the girl who had turned away. "Nice choice," she said. Iris scoffed at what her brother said. "Hmph, I'm a girl," she pointed out. Gosh. So harsh. Taylor rolled her eyes at the girl. "You know, that girl's going to choose you," she drawled quietly as she tossed her hair over her shoulder. And she had looked all pretty today too, what a waste. |
Edith could almost hear the seconds ticking away at an infinitely slow pace. Did they have to take so long?! Merlin's beard, just choose a servant and head back to the house! And if you don't like your choice, nothing's keeping you from switching later on! Or, at least, this was Edith's thought process. She was growing more and more irritated and annoyed as the seconds passed. She hadn't chosen a servant yet and cared not if she ended up with the last pick, with the one no one else wanted; as long as they could get this over with and move on with their lives already. She was hungry. Why didn't she bring a snack? Ugh. In her annoyance, the girl accidentally dropped her wand, from which a ray of orange-yellow light emitted, hitting one of the servants standing closest to the front, some girl her sister Marie kept staring at like a hawk. The sparks that flew from her wand caused the bottom of the to-be servant's robes to catch on fire. Oh Merlin. Edith quickly picked up her wand, setting the fire off with a wave of her wand before it could really cause any damage or burn anything or anyone. Great. Now she'd almost set one of her sister's servants on fire; it was only a matter of minutes before one of her brothers hexed her head off. "My apologies, servant," she said curtly to the servant girl, her green-eyed gaze not necessarily apologetic but rather cold, uninterested and indifferent as was her usual personality, her usual gaze. Fabien watched all of this from the back of the group, tall enough to stand over most of the other servants, his blue eyes widened just slightly at the sight of one of the girls' robes catching on fire; but he was relieved to see that the thin girl (or was that just a very feminine boy? He wasn't sure) that had dropped the wand was quick to take action and undo the mistake, following that with an apology that sounded far from sorry. He sighed softly to himself as he waited, standing straight and quietly, his blond hair seeming to gleam with the light of moon hovering above the group, just above the hill they had just come down from. Would this take much longer? He didn't show it, but the boy was beginning to feel a little impatient, a little eager to get into the house and learn of the Delameres' lifestyles already. |
Violet jumped a little at the sparks and started mumbling again, words like idiotic... be... little... almost... bad. She didn't know which servant she wanted, because as a 6 year old you are quite picky, well if you are Violet you are picky. She really didn't like the idea of having a servant, that is way older than her, but then again she didn't want a six year old that wasn't her running all over the place. and she didn't want a boy either, and she wanted someone who would do as she said, because pretty much none of her siblings did. Then her eyes fell upon someone randomly, she had chosen "are we allowed to pick one yet?" she asked any of her siblings she didn't care which one answered as long as she got an answer. She had picked the girl with brown hair and blue eyes, Freya was the name she had heard and it was the one she had chosen. |
Ediths fire incident did not distract her as she chose her boy, she would make sure that, as the older one, Iris would not steal him, not yet Violet, Laura murmered, Antonin needs first pick, but you're allowed to pick one, just not say it outloud, she was getting short tempered, but Antonin was not picking, it always went boys first, oldest to youngest then girls, oldest to youngest, meaning she always got first pick, it was one of the best parts of being the oldest girl |

Julia looked over at the girl next to her. She was surprised by this. "Oh... yeah. Umm... Who do you want to be chosen by?" she aksed the girl, who flicked her own hair. Julia saw the sister of the girl that was staring at her and she returned the warm smile back at her. They didn't seem to bad. |
Violet glared at Antonin, he wasn't allowed to pick her person. And she was the youngest girl, lovely. She hurried over to Antonin and tugged on his arm before whispering "you can't have that one, I already picked her" pointing at Freya. She wasan't about to settle for her second choice, mainly because she didn't have one she wanted Freya and that was it |
Ava-Mercy felt eyes on her. Well, she had been the first down here. She met the eyes... getting to the ones that were hottest on her first. It was a gaze that made her fidget and blush, but she met it, full on. And then he turned away to give a quiet lecture that she couldn't hear to a slimmer girl, and then look through the rest of the servants. She shrugged, and looked around as well. Who would be the first to speak here? There was one man who looked a bit like a leader, but what did she know? She sighed. She wanted it done. She wanted to be a part of it already. She found herself leaning forward, and had to pull herself back. It was strange, and unfamiliar, this longing. She squared her dainty shoulders against it, and shook her short black waves into her eyes. She didn't want to be the first to speak. She was brave. Not stupid. |
Oh my god she hissed under her breath, walking over to her brother, well all of us girls have decided so can we pick? she asked snarkilly, she was getting impatient and she wanted to pick her boy, and Violet wants to pick too she said, glaring at him as she leant against the gates, looking back to the servants every now and then |
... Alright. Didn't know I'd be so vital. I'm typing as fast as I cannnn!!!! Quote:
Freya grimaced as apparently she was pointed and talked about. Those sick, egotistical pricks... Whoever chose her would experience perfect Hell. She would make sure of that. She could only hope she was paired with a lady Delamere in hopes of avoiding the ferocious look of feral hunger in the family head's eyes. Oh, anything to avoid being preyed upon so... Quote:
SPOILER!!: The Girls ;) Antonin glanced over three girls, not sure which one to pick. He had three good choices. Sighing, he decided... on the blonde one. (Sonja) Approaching her, he smiled warmly, offering his hand to her. "My dear," he said, his voice little more than a husky, enticing whisper. "You are by far the loveliest here. I am Antonin Delamere, the Head of this Family, as you have seen. It would be a great honor to have a lady as lovely as you serve me... if I could only catch your name?" Luciandus watched everything with a deep, disgusted grimace. This man - the head of the family? - was such a sick, twisted ladies' man. Why was he here again...? The women... They were just as bad. He wasn't looking forward to such Hell, such sin, such stupidity... |
She glared at him, but at last, he had picked one, well at least now we would have some movement towards getting her boy, she turned to her other brothers, willing them to hurry up already, she looked to the boy she wanted, locking her eyes with his OOC: Is okkk :) |
"now can I pick one?" Violet whined, she didn't want anyone to take the brown haired one (freya). She really would hate her siblings if she didn't get the person she wanted. "PEASE!!!!" she whined, she figured if she whined enough they might let her take who she wanted |
Shhhhh she said, don't annoy him, besides you know the rules, you're the youngest so you pick last, she spoke gently but they won't pick her, don't worry |
Freya overheard them talking... about her. Grimacing, she heard the banter. No one would pick her!? I mean, it was an insult, even to someone so disgusted by the whole thing. Was she that undesirable? Could she have been found out so easily...? |
Violet glared, she didn't see why she couldn't just pick, it's not like anybody else wanted her. "but nobody else wants her, why can't I just take her?" she asked rather annoyed, she may be smarter than ALL 6 year olds, but she thought 'the youngest goes last' thing was absolutely ridiculous. |
Ask Antonin she said glaring at her brother, they had never got on, even as children, she'd smashed one of his toy cigars once too often, but as no one will pick her you have no reason to be worried, do you? |
SPOILER!!: Marie and Julia Iris smirked. "Yup, what Marie said," she said simply with a light shrug of her shoulders. Just because he was a guy. Gosh, understand girls or something. Really. "No, thank you for helping me choose," she said as she looked at the boys again. Which one...? They all looked so much older! She then saw the girl Marie wanted to choose, she returned the warm smile but a look of coldness flashed through Iris's violet eyes. Taylor sighed. "I don't want to be chosen at all," she shrugged. Pointless. She didn't want to be here. "My mother forced me to do this thing, I mean like, honestly? I'd rather be shopping," she said with a roll of her eyes. SPOILER!!: Finally! Antonin had finally decided on which one he wanted and now they could get on with it. Iris tried not to show how relieved she was that he had finally chosen and that it was getting closer to it being her turn. Hehehe. Which one...? But still, ew. Watching her eldest brother flirt with someone was disgusting. |
Woo! Got picked by Phyre! yay! Quote:
Sonja had been watching the goings on with a detached amusement. The siblings of the house were obviously as anxious to get this all said and done as the soon to be servants were. She could tell that they were all being appraised. She squirmed uncomfortably as she felt eyes pass over her. Her traveling cloak covered the gesture but it grated on her nerves all the same. She was still in the relative safety of the shadows and her hood was still in place giving her plenty of cover. With any luck she would be passed over and be the last to be chosen. Of course, luck wasn't on her side. She felt still more eyes on her and then one of the older looking guys detached himself from the group and headed right for her. Her heart rate kicked up a few notches but she kept her calm. His voice and demeanor were smooth and sophisticated as he indicated that he wished for her to be his servant. And he was the head of the family no less! Her blush and small smile were thankfully hidden from his eyes. Schooling her features, she took one last look at him from the relative shelter of her cloak. This was it. There was no turning back now. Straightening up to her full height, caramel eyes flashing Sonja took a calming breath. Long slender hands emerged from the confines of her cloak. Her fingers grabbed the edge of her hood and pulled back. Long blond wavy hair cascaded down to her waist accentuating her elfin features and sharp caramel eyes. With slow precision she raised her eyes to her new master, silently screaming inside at having to call him that. She extended her hand with all the grace of a princess and gave him a charming smile in turn. "Sonja Lockwood. And the honor is mine I assure you." |
