Jesse was still looking at Skye with a worried expression on his face, cocking his head slightly to the side he stared into her eyes trying to see what was going inside her. Was she afraid? Was there anything he could do? Did she also feel her skin burning where it touched his in a nice way, though? Meh, he was never going to find out, at least not by staring into her beautiful eyes that were so hypnotizing Jesse had problems to pull his gaze away from them. Whoa, what was wrong with him?

Glancing around the hall anxiously Jesse searched for something that would tell them what was going on, some sign to show them everything was okay. His green eyes flashed back towards Skye as he felt her breathing into his ear which made a shiver run down his spine. Eep. Trying to calm her, and himself, down he smiled, squeezed her hand and whispered, "No, I don't think there's anything wrong, silly. Look at all the others, does it seem like something's wrong?" Okay, this probably wasn't the argument of the century but whatever, he was just trying to calm Skye down not win somekind of debate.

Jesse's head turned towards the boy, who he's pretty sure was called James, that had sat down next to them. He was glad that he had sat down next to him and not next to Skye because, well, it just wouldn't have felt right..."Hello James. Uhm...no, we don't have any clue what's going on either, sorry." Hopefully someone was going to explain things soon.

"so... are you guys together, because you seem pretty close" James said thinking that if Alexia were here she would probably hit him for being rude, he almost laughed at the thought.

James wondered where Alexia was though she should be here soon, he thought thinking she was probably talking to someone.

Skye seemed to be searching for some answer,so sort of sign or something,but she couldnt pull herself away from Jesse's eyes.They were so green,not like a light green,but they were like a sweet soft green.She felt herself sigh inside.But she realised she was probably staring,which made her cheeks change from a soft whiteish colour to a soft crimson colour.Stop it Skye!!,she said to herself,inside her head,mentally slapping herself.

She glanced around the room,after coming away from Jesse's ear,and they all seemed to be ok.Everything seemed to be normal.She was over-reacting,she knew it,she just knew that back home,everything wasnt easy.And she felt scared for her family.She was almost waiting for the news something had happened,or something.She was paranoid.She looked at Jesse,and smiled at him.Her heart rate was increasing everytime she looked at him.There was something wrong with her,maybe she needed a doctor or something..?!."Your right.."she said,feeling his hand squeeze hers gently.

She looked at James and smiled."Nothings been said yet.."she said,and then she looked around the room,but something he said,made her head snap back to hiim.She glanced at there hands.They were still holding hands.She looked up at James."N-N-No.."she said,she stuttered.She never stuttered!

She felt her cheeks flare again...

God.. how embarressing..

Seth came over and sat next to James. He wondered where Alexia had gotten to. She was nice, and seemed to be the only friend he had here. He didn't really know anyone that well. He wondered what they were going to talk about at the meeting. He assumed it would be interesting, or at least important, but he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to be here. The excitement of being somewhere new had worn off, and now he was just upset that he wasn't at Hogwarts anymore. He didn't understand why Hogwarts wasn't safe. It used to be the safest place ever, even after Gringotts. Of course, Gringotts had been broken into, before, too.

Jesse was staring at all the other people in the room, all the children and teenagers and young adults that were there. Did they have any idea what was going on right now? What was going on back home? Whether their parents were okay? Who knew. Was there anyone who was going to tell them when anything would be wrong at home? Was there anyone who knew? Biting her lip to keep the worry from his face Jesse's green eyes flickered back towards Skye next to him and he started to calm down slightly. Somehow she was making him forget all his worries but at the same time his worry increased but not his worry for his family but his worry for her. He didn't want her to be hurt. Whoa! When had he started to become that...overprotective?

Jesse's head jerked back towards James his eyebrows raised as he tried to understand the boy's question. Him? Together with Skye? Like...together? Really together? Was this guy being serious? What made him think that they were toge- this was the moment Jesse's eyes fell on his and Skye's hands which made a click! to be heard inside his head. Of course...they must have looked like a couple to the people around them with all their holding hands and stuff. Well, it was just that, though, holding hands, right? Right? Or was it? Why did everything have to be that hard at times? Why couldn't everything be normal again? But Jesse knew that after that question nothing would be like it used to be.

That was the moment Jesse panicked, he really totally panicked which was totally unlike him. He never panicked or did anything imprudent that is, he had always been the one to stay calm and be reasonable. Not run away from a confrontation like he was just doing. What was wrong with him? Was it all the anxiety that had been building up inside him that was now bursting through? Or was it something else? Something about Skye? With a murmured, "I...uhm...sorry, I gotta...uhm...go" Jesse just ran back out of the hall his green eyes widened in confusion and desperation. What was he doing?!

James felt really awkward now "oh.. er... sorry I didn't mean to, you just look good together" he said and was glad when Seth arrived so he could have something to distract himself with "hey Seth" he said turning to him but when Jesse left he decided he should do something.

Running out of the hall James caught up with Jesse "hey where are you going?" he asked but he was sure he knew why he left, it was just a boy type thing to do.

Skye felt a little hot under the collar,as her mother used to say about her brother whenever he had a date or he fancied someone.She could just hear her voice in the back of her mind.She shivered off the thought,and then glanced at Jesse.He seemed to be lost,and then his face changed,his expression.She saw him glance down at there hands.She looked at him,and at that moment,her heart almost stopped beating..

He seemed to shoot up,almost as if his trousers were on fire.She didnt really understand what was going on,but he seemed to be freaking out.She watched him run out of the hall.She didnt know what to do,she watched after him and looked at James,"Its fine..."she said,looking at her hands,and then James ran after Jesse.She felt lost...

She wasnt that bad was she? She wasnt that horrible was she? She wasnt that ugly was she? All of a sudden self-consious.She looked at her hands as she started to well up a little..

Jesse was just running, just running, his feet were doing just what they had been made for, at least to a certain extent: Run. His head felt like it was going to explode anytime with all the questions that were popping up inside it. But one question was a lot more audible than all the others: What was he doing?! The logical part of his brain answered with the obvious: Running. But that was not the answer Jesse had been searching for, so he rephrased the question: Why was he doing what he was doing? He wanted his heart to answer this question not his brain. But his heart obviously had other things to do now, things like beating at a rate that could definitely not be considered as healthy anymore or moving to places it shouldn’t move like his throat.

The blonde boy skidded to a halt as he heard other footsteps besides his own echoing off the walls. Was it Skye?! And why was his stomach feeling like a whole bunch of ants had just decided to colonize there when he thought her name? Panting slightly from all the running Jesse jerked around to see who was following him and his green eyes took in that certain someone’s features. It obviously wasn’t Skye that had been following him. Why should she have in the first place? He’d just behaved like a complete idiot in there and it would be totally understandable if she’d never ever talked to him again. Oh, why had he been such an idiot?! Recognizing James after a few seconds Jesse half-turned his head away from him again since he wasn’t too fond of another boy seeing the confusion that had caused his question on his face.

Massaging his temples to get rid of the headache Jesse opened his mouth once to say something but nothing came out so he closed it again. He had absolutely no idea what he was going to say. Okay, another try. This time after clearing his throat audibly Jesse opened his mouth again and this time he’d obviously found his voice again. ”I…uhm…don’t actually know myself.” Then after coughing once to get rid of the weirdness that was still in his voice he added, ”Where are you going, James?” This so wasn’t what he wanted to know right now. The question that were inside him wanting to get out were ones like, “Where’s Skye? Is she okay” or “Will she ever talk to me again?”

Skye was rather lost,she seemed to not know what to do with herself.She felt a little lump in her throat,she didnt feel upset,but just a little surprised by his reaction.She didnt act that way,and she wondered why he did.She knew that it was a typical thing for a boy to do if put in that situation,but something was telling her that maybe there was more to his reaction than she thought.

She glanced around at the other children and teenagers.She didnt knnow what to do with herself.So she did what anyone would have.She got up and walked out of the hall,to get some air,and clear her head.She needed to get herself sorted out and cleaar her head,which was now thumping.Why did she have to get a headache now.They put her in the more vilest moods!! ..

James sighed "I just wanted to say sorry for springing that question on you" he said slightly surprised because he was not usually very good with this stuff "did you leave because you like her" he asked him.

Jesse ran his hand through his short blonde hair in frustration. What the heck was he doing?! Or more like, had he done? Why was he standing there out in the corridor like a coward with this guy he hardly knew? He could be inside the hall right now with Skye holding hands like they'd done before and everything would have been like always. Why was he behaving like a complete idiot at the moment?

His green eyes flashed back towards James who had first been uttering somekind of apology but had now said something which had caught Jesse's attention. His eyebrows shot up and his eyes widened in surprise."What?!" It was actually more of a rhetorical question, though, since he'd understood the other boy perfectly well, it was just the fact that what he'd said was causing Jesse's expression to change into a quite thoughtful one. Was that it? Was that why he'd just totally panicked? Could it be that that boy who was standing right in front of him knew more about his relationship to Skye than he himself did? Eying James a bit suspiciously he asked while trying to sound rather uninterested, "Do you...uhm...do you have any experience with something like that then, James?" Eep, what was he doing? Asking this boy whom he'd only met yesterday for help?

James nodded "yeah... but I know I don't know you very well but trust me when I say this not the best thoughts go through girls minds when something like that happens" he said trying to be helpful "so are you going to come back?" he asked him.

Seth was thoroughly confused. One minute, Jesse and Skye were sitting there holding hands, looking perfectly content, and the next minute, Jesse was gone, running out the door. And then James followed behind. It was absolutely odd. He couldn't find rhyme or reason to it, but he supposed it must've been something said before he'd entered the room. James had seemed to be apologizing about something, though Seth didn't know what it was. And now he just felt awkward sitting next to Skye when he didn't know what had happened. He wasn't quite sure if he should comfort her or ignore the whole thing. After all, he didn't really know Skye. He sighed in bafflement of the whole situation. Choosing to just pretend nothing had happened, he looked to the front of the room and hoped something would start soon.

Alexia walked into the hall where the meeting thingy was and saw Seth there already, smiling at him she walked over and sat down.

Alexia looked at Seth "has anything happened?" she askednotonly meaning about the meeting, he looked a little awkward for some reason and she didn't know why.

Skye sat on the bench outside the hall,her ears pounding hard.Her head was feeling a little heavy,she felt pretty much weird all round.She looked at the sky,it was looking a little uncertain.That pretty much summed up how she felt altogether.She looked down again,and watched as some of the kids entered the hall,all seemingly happy and cheerful

Ah yes, this was making Jesse feel so much better. Not. Why was he feeling all hollow inside when he thought about how Skye was probably thinking about right now? What was he supposed to do? Ruffing up his hair in frustration Jesse bit his lip while trying hard not to look directly at James so the boy wasn't going to see his emotional confusion. "I...uhm...I guess so...I mean, yes of course!" Meh, why was he being that undecided sometimes?!

As soon as Jesse'd walked back into the hall, his heart beating at a rate definitely unhealthy for him and probably even for the people around him, green eyes were scanning the room in search of someone. In search of her. In search of Skye! His face fell as he noticed that the hall was empty. Well, of course it wasn't empty since there were a lot of people chatting happily with each other but it was empty in Jesse's eyes. Someone was missing. Where was she?!

Skye didnt know what to do.Everything had gotten blown out of proportion,something Jesse had done had changed how they had acted towards eachother.She was now going out of her mind.What if Jesse didnt want to be close friends anymore..what if he..- she stopped herself from thinking the impossible.She knew it was impossible..corse it was..dont be so stupid she told herself

She shrugged her thoughts off and walked towards the hall.She mentally shook herself and collected herself before she went back into the hall.She stopped at the entrance and she saw the figure she was so longing to stand next to,just to be around.Something stopped her from moving forward.She just watched him.He appeared to be looking for someone.She sighed and sat on the bench just outside of the two doors leading into the hall

James slowly made his way back to the hall feeling really bad.. why did he always have to stuff things up...? James was about to walk in the hall when he saw Skye on a bench outside, trying not to think that he would make things worse he stopped "uh... Skye" he said hoping what Jesse did hadn't made her too upset because then it would have been his fault.

Skye felt her heart sigh as she let thoughts and moments rush though her mind.She was going to shut her eyes,that was until she heard a jump and nearly fell off the bench.Her hands flew to her chest and she looked up."Merlin..James.. you made me jump.."she smiled at him."Sorry.."she said smiling

"Oh sorry" James said with surprise "I was just wondering... did Jesse talk to you? he's looking for you I think?" he said leaning against the wall wondering if this day would ever end.

"And Skye.... again I'm sorry for asking that" he said trying to give her and apologetic smile about earlier on... he thought he would just have to find a way to make it up to them later on.

"Oh, hey Alexia. I'm not really sure what's happened. I think some of it must have happened before I came in. All I know is Jesse and James were running around somewhere, and Skye is really upset. I don't really understand it all." Seth told her. He was pretty confused.

Alexia shrugged "James will probably sort it out, that or he'll just make it worse" she said with a chuckle and smiled at Seth "where do you think everyone else is?" she asked him looking around.

Skye looked at James with a sense of hope,for some reason.She felt butterflies in her stomach."He's looking for me?"she asked,looking at James,a smile appearing on her face."Oh..its ok.."she said,looking at him."It made me think actually,so thank you.."she said with a greatful smile on her face.

Green eyes repeatedly scanned the hall for that one specific face Jesse's was longing most to see. Where was she? Was she ever going to come back? Had she run off? At that thought Jesse actually gasped as pictures came to his mind of Skye running around in the cold dark night all on her own looking lost and frightened. And it would all be his fault! His and none other's! What had he done?! Or more like, what could he have done?

Suddenly he felt someone stare at him, no approaching footsteps or anything, just somebody staring at him. Was it-? Could it really be-? Slowly turning his head around to see who that certain someone would turn out to be Jesse's eyes were still locked with the floor not daring to look up, to see that it probably wasn't the one he was hoping for. Carefully and very slowly Jesse raised his head to peek and...saw nothing. Well, at least not the one he was hoping to see. No Skye. But he had been so sure. No, he couldn't have been mistaken right? Should he call her name? Clearing his throat he looked around the room once more a little reddish teint appearing on his cheeks before opening his mouth to very quietly but still audibly say, "Skye?" He didn't say anything else, just that.
