Merlin, I know my titles are lame.

But I promise, the plot isn't as bad as the title makes it sound.

The Plot

It's the holiday season at Hogwarts and the castle is virtually empty during this time of year. Except for a group of students who decide to stay at the castle and relax with their friends there.

But soon, it gets boring. There's not much to do in the empty castle so they do the only thing there is left to do and decide to explore the dungeons. Many students tend to avoid the dingy underground of Hogwarts but it'll keep them busy for a while until something better and more fun comes along.

And while they're down in the dungeons, the students make a rather interesting discovery. There's a mysterious ghost down there. But it's not a normal ghost. It's the spirit of a young lady. She's actually a beautiful, young ghost and in time the students soon learn more about her.

She's a cursed spirit. Her soul was cursed by a warlock centuries ago and she's been doomed to roam the earth for all eternity. Though, there are quirks. Unlike ghosts, she can actually possess the bodies of living beings (she's a spirit rather than a ghost after all). Turns out though, she's been lonely and now that students have crossed her path, she's going to have some fun of her own.

The mischievous spirit is now out to cause mayhem around Hogwarts. She's possessing students and teachers and causing trouble. The group of students that found her have now decided though that she has to go. They have to find someway to break the curse so that her spirit will be free and move on to rest. Until they figure something out though, they're going to have to try and keep her under control.

The Rules

There's only a couple of rules, really:
1. If you join please stay active! Or if you're going to drop out, let us know so we don't think your character is still in play.
2. Don't control other people's characters. Stick to your own, please.

There's no limit on the amount of characters you can have. Just have fun!

As far as characters go, we'll obviously need students and of course the mayhem-causing spirit. As mentioned in the plot, she has the ability to possess others. You don't have to possess any of the main characters, you can just have random teachers and students possessed. Though if you would like her to temporarily possess another person's character, make sure it's okay with that person. PM them and ask before doing anything. But not long term. Only for a few posts or so (in which case, you might want to have two charries so if you do let the spirit possess one of your charries, you still have the other you can control).

And if you do decide to play the spirit, you can just have fun with her. Make up her looks, background, personality, etc. Just keep to any personality traits mentioned in the plot (such as the fact that she is mischievous).

Laynie giggled and looked down at herself, "your right, I wanna go get this cleaned off soon... it feels gross, and smells bad." She said grinning, it was after all pretty funny. "So, any other genius plans?"

"Besides showering at the moment? No," he replied. He shook his head and stood up. He felt even stickier with every move he made and headed out of the Great Hall in order to clean up and have a nice, long shower.

Laylee sighed and started to follow Shane, only because she needed to get to the gryffindor common room. "We could just jump in the lake you know." She suggested smirking although she would never ever do that in the winter.

Oliver chuckled. "Well, I best be going, since it seems I have nothing better to do then walking," Oliver sighed, grabbing an unused muffin and skipping out the door.

Maddie waved and laid her head on the table. She felt like a third wheel sometimes. Maybe she could bug Ollie. She looked up at Rae, wondering what they could do.

"Well, he just left a bit suddenly," said Raquel with an arched eyebrow as she watched Oliver leave with muffin in hand. "Suppose we should follow him or leave him?" She was always curious.

"Are you mad? Jump into the lake in this weather?" asked Shane shivering at the very thought. "Not even I would do that--unless you paid me," he added as an afterthought.

"I never said I would do it, only a suggestion see." She said smirking, "so, do you just flirt with every girl you see?" She asked curiously, not because this worried her just because she didn't seem to notice if she did it... most of the time when Shane gloated that Lay should have a snog once in a while, well that was obvious.

Nosferatu laughed and said, "I don't think I'll let either of you pour my coffee, I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself." She poured her coffee and finished eating her breakfast. "What do you two have planned for today?" she asked them.

Chinnie sat there as she busily munched on her food. She was overhearing what her friends was talking though. Well, she didn't know where to go next after her breakfast as she had no class as far as she remembered.

Steve was actually bored now. He was watching her sister and the other Gryffindors eat and chat while popping his own food into his mouth.

Cindy giggled as Shane and Laylee got up and went to wash. "I'm bored y'know." She said looking at Rae and Maddie as they were the closest to her, "Have you got any plans?" She asked them.

Jaden punched his brother playfully on the shoulder, "Aww, c'mon Jacki-boy! Lighten up! We're only a little bit late. Besides, it wasn't my fault, it was your's. If you'd woken me up like you were supposed to we wouldn't be in this mess," He grinned contently as the twins made their way down to the Great Hall.

Jake could feel the anger bubbling in his stomach as his face turned slightly red. "My fault!? You've got to be kidding me! We agreed last night that you'd wake me up!" He sighed, and rubbed his forehead wearily. Brothers, who'd have them?

"Oh yeah...Sorry about that, guess I forgot," Jaden said with a sheepish smile as they entered the Great Hall. The sweet smell of breakfast entered his nose, and his jaw hung slightly open. He was always hungry, thanks to his fast motabilism. He quickened his pace, almost running towards the table, leaving his brother to roll his eyes and grumble as much as he wanted. "Hey Jacki-boy! They still got food left," he called across the hall.

Jake rolled his eyes, "You always forget," he grumbled irritably, following his brother. His stomach rumbled hungrily, as he yawned lazily. He'd been up late that night doing his brother's homework. Luckily it was almost time for break. He sat down beside his brother, who had just sat beside Cindy.

"Hey guys," they said in unison, as they both scooped food onto their plates.

Allitrya sat down on the table humming to herself...as usual. She wondered where her friends were. Oh yeah the whole school was her friend. She plunged a handful of chicken legs into her mouth and opened up her ruffled copy of the Daily Prophet. She was suprised it was still running... Then one headline suddenly caught her eager eye!

Jaden looked up as Allitrya sat down at the table. She was reading the Daily Prophet, and looked highly interested in something. Jaden tipped his head to the side slightly, and looked over at her curiously, ignoring his brothers irritable remarks about how rude staring was. "Hey, Allitrya. What you reading?" he asked, as his brother nudged him in the ribs.

"Are you even listening to me?" Jake hissed. When his brother didn't answer, he turned back to his plate and continued to nibble on his toast, straining to keep his eyes open.

"Flirt with every girl?" asked Shane. "Well, almost every girl. There are some girls I don't bother with like Rae and there are others that just don't catch my eye because they're boring as a stick. Don't worry, you're definitely worth it." He smirked at her.

Laylee laughed but it was somewhat exasperated, "may I ask why exactly I'm worth it? You know, I'm just trying to understand your logic... which probably won't make any sense... knowing you." She said wondering if she always acted like this with him.

"Yeah, I don't have any logic," said Shane shaking his head. "But hey, you're cute and fun. Why not? I mean you've got a sense of humor and all. For the most part at any rate." He grinned.

"What do you mean for the most part?" she asked contemplating what he said. "I guess I'll take that as a compliment," She said grinning... it was flattering even though she knew he would do this to any girl in his sight that was pretty.

Shane merely shrugged. He shoved his hands into his pockets. "You should take that as a compliment." He then began walking ahead of here. He really needed to get cleaned up, it was not that greatest feeling in the world.

Laylee wondered what he was thinking and looked at him suspiciously, "what, you mean it's such an honer to be complimented by you or I should take it as a compliment because it was?" She asked thinking he probably wouldn't get her but she didn't elaborate as she was at the Gryffindor common room... she quickly ran up to the shower and got in washing all the food off.

Shane shrugged as she ran off and he headed up towards the boys' dormitory so he could shower. He was really quick about it too. He showered off all the food and once he was clean, he got out and dressed. He was done in less than fifteen minutes and was already back in the common room, freshly clean. His hair was still damp though. He looked around though wondering if Laylee was done and had thought to wait for him. Or perhaps she was still showering, girls did tend to take an awful long time in the bathroom.

After Laylee had finished she got dressed and with a flick of her wand dried her hair quickly brushing it... She walked down into the common room and saw Shane there "Hey Shane, waiting for something?" She asked smirking something she did not usually do but seemed to be doing it more and more often.

"No," said Shane shaking his head. "I only just got out. I was looking for you and decided if I didn't find you then I'd head out, but you're here now, so we can get going." He then smirked. "Why? Had you been hoping that I was waiting for you? I bet that's it. You're hoping I was waiting for you."

Laylee rolled her eyes "I always say one thing and you just have to turn it into something else, thanks for waiting but really I wasn't thinking about trivial things like you waiting for me." She said but grinned at him, "Why do you want every girl to like you even if you don't consider dating-no snogging them?" She asked him curiously, but she could hardly call every girl he sees dating.

"Because then they're mad if they don't like me," said Shane. "I've got everything, the looks and the humor. I'm the funny guy that girls love. I'm not too sensitive, but I can be if I want to. Though I choose not to because I prefer being funny."

"Name one other guys who's half as attractive as I am," challenged Shane. "Just one. I bet you won't be able to come up with any names." Well, he was definitely the confident type. He walked down the steps as he listened for her answer.
