Ginny laughed "I'm sorry, I didn't know what you meant by 'everyone'. I guess you really meant everyone." she said then noticed her really hadn't asked the new kids. "Harry, maybe we should ask the new kids...and Cho."

Harry looked at her.
"Yeah, I guess. Um. I'll go ask Cho. You can ask those guys-it'd be a great way to meet them" Harry didn't really want to ask Cho. She'd rpobably start crying about something or rather. Sighing he walked over to her and asked her.
"Hey Cho.....um, where having a picnic outside. You um....wanna come?"

Ginny nodded. She knew Cho hated her because of the fact she was with Harry but what could she do? Giving up harry was NOT a option. She smiled at Harry and walked over to the three guys. "Hey, some of us are going to be having a picnic outside and we would love it if you three came. It would be a great way to meet people. Hope to see you out there." she said then turned to return to her boyfriend. "Hi Cho, hope you'll come."

Harry placed a hand on Ginny's back and steered her out of the room.
"She can be really odd sometimes. I don't know what...." Harry stopped.
"Um...So who's coming?" Trying to steer the conversation away from Cho.

"Its alright Harry." Ginny said slipping her hand into his again. "And I have no clue actaully. I just mentioned it then came back to you. I'm expecting Ron and Hermione. And if Ron's there I'm sure Lavendar will follow. Miles will most likely come. Summer will probably show up. I have a feeling Cho will be there and I actually think the new guys will come also."

Hermione sighed and shook her head at her friend. "Thanks." She said, knowing that he was trying to make her feel better.

Hearing Ginny and Harry talk about a picnic, she smiled widely. "That sounds like an amazing idea. Everyone will be able to get to know each other!" She said happily, looking at Embry. "Do you want to join us?" She asked, wondering if he was still sort of embarassed by the whole 'forgetting it was Saturday' mishap.

"Cho?" Hermione muttered to herself. "Really?" She said quietly, wondering how Cho would react to an invitation. Probably not too well. They minize well ask Lavender and Draco Malfoy to join if they were going to ask Cho Chang.

Cho had decided to go back into the Great Hall to see if there was anyone she knew. She didn't want to spend the first Saturday of the school year alone.

Upon walking into the Great Hall, her heart skipped a beat when she saw the person she had been looking for all morning walk towards her. "A picnic?" She repeated, surprised that he would ask her of all people.

Cho grimaced to herself as Ginny, the pretty redhead who was dating Harry, joined them. ""Um, sure." She mumbled, putting a lot of effort to give a small smile to Ginny. "I'll see you guys outside in a few than?" She asked, wondering if the picnic was happening now.

Walking back in really fast to grab her bag she heard Cho. "Yea, glad you'll come Cho." she said giving the older girl a smile.

Lavender couldnt help but over hear something about a picnic."Whats this about a Picnic,then?"she asked,looking at her friends infront of her.She liked picnics and she was in the mood for catching some sun and having a good old gossip with some of the girls,not to mention,boy spotting,even though she was surpirsingly in love with Ron still.

Ginny heard Lavendar and said "Did we not come to you Lavendar? Of course your invited."

Lavenders mouth widened into a smile,even if she wasnt invited she would have gone to speak and have a chit-chat with people she knew that were there.She nodded."Ohh Yay!"she said,clapping her hands a little,"Ill just go and put on something pretty.."she said,feeling very excited now.She rushed into the common room and got ready a little,making an effort

Hermione sighed to herself inwardly. Lavender was actually joining them. Well, all we need is Draco and friends and I guess we have an inter-house party. She said, grimacing.

Hearing Cho's answer to Harry and Ginny, Hermione had to turn her face away from the three, so they wouldn't see her mouth drop open. Cho had actually agreed to go with them? Something was definitely a little off today. New boys at Hogwarts and Cho Chang being civil to Harry AND Ginny? Things were messed.

Ginny nodded and smiled when Lavendar jumped up all excited. She called after her "Alright, we'll see you later then Lavendar!" Then noticing Hermione Ginny said "Sorry Mione, look how excited she is though."

Draco still sat at the breakfast table with Lo impatiently, after finishing his meal. He turned to her, "We don't want to go to any silly picnic, do we?" He muttered, with a glare. "Prince Potter and his lovely gift to make him feel great about himself," he spat. Even though Malfoy was mean to everyone, well not everyone, a lot of people that he met, he did have a soft heart. Not many people noticed, that was all. "Should we gatecrash their little party later?" Draco asked Lo, an eyebrow raised, thinking that she'd most likely say no.

Lo had also heard that conversation and glared. Why didn't they bother to ask her? She had always been nice to them, even though she was in Slytherin, and even though that she was friends with Draco and Serena. Draco was having a bad affect on her, for she started to laugh, quite evilly as a matter of fact. "Yes, I think that'd make a rather pleasant surprise," she said, wondering where all her pent up anger had come from. "Although, let's try not to make a bad impression on the new kids," she added, she was hoping she would've been able to make friendships with them.

Draco was surprised in the manner that Lo had spoken in. He might've expected it from Serena, but definately not Lo, but he laughed all the same. "It's agreed then, but I also think that we should get Serena in on it," he replied, hoping that they'd find her sooner, rather than later. "Come on," he said, dragging Lo out of the Great Hall, and down the hallways to find Serena, and that boy that Lo had mentioned, what was his name? James? Joe? Finally they came across them. "Hello Serena," Draco said with a smile, Lo standing next to him.

Ginny looked around and wondered how they would invite Lo with out Draco. In fact that was a idea. No she wouldn't be that cruel. She thought she had seen Harry invite Lo.

Hermione shrugged. "That's ok." She said looking at Ginny. "As long as she doesn't do anything to Ron, I'll be fine." She said, watching Lavender go back to their common room. Probably to get dressed up or something. Well, at least she's excited. Hermione thought to herself as she watched the others pretend to be hyped up about it.

"I think I'm going to go and choose a spot by the lake, ok?" She asked Ginny, wondering if they had somewhere else in mind for the picnic.

Serena looked at Jacob, waiting for answer from him. Blue eyes roving around the Entrance Hall, looking at the people that was gathered there, telling each other about their week back at school. There. A flash of blond hair and a very familiar brunette weaving their way through the crowds and making their way towards her. "I want to introduce you to my two best friends." She said to Jacob, who was also a fellow Slytherin just like the rest of them.

"Draco! Lo!" Serena called, happy to finally see them when they reached her. "Where have you been Draco?" She asked, giving him a smile.

Summer giggled and patted Hermione on the shoulder. "Of course. We'll start simple first and then get crazier!" She exclaimed in a fit of happiness, tossing her auburn curls behind her shoulder. It was Summer's goal to turn Hermione Granger from drab to absolutley FABtabulous!

"Obviously its okay with me silly!" Summer said, grinning. "I'll go through my wardrobe tonight and pick a few things out for you." She added, mentally imagining the clothes she could lend her friend.

Quill blinked. "Oh. Saturday. Right." He said, nodding and sliding his schedule in his backpocket. Snape? Must be the Potions teacher, Quill thought to himself, walking slowly back to his spot at the table he'd been before (Slytherin table? Eh, he wasn't sure.)

He looked up as Embry approached. Quill cracked a grin, "Hey. No worries. I thought it was Monday too." He said, nodding and scooting over at the table to make room for his friend. Quill's eyes glazed over the cheerful, sunny students. "Yeah - let's go by that huge lake we saw." He finally answered, standing up quietly, hoping no one would follow the two - the fangirls were starting to give him a slight headache.

Draco smiled at the boy, and nodded at his tie. "A Slytherin hey? Impressive." He then wondered what they had been doing until they found them. "Also, what are you doing with my Serena?" He asked with a laugh. He then turned to Serena to begin to explain what happened that morning. "Well, I kind of slept in, which is unusual for me, I know," he said. "Then I bumped into Lo here," he continued, slightly giving Lo a little tap with his arm.

"Anyway, onto another subject, there's a picnic going on, and I think we should join it," he added with a little wink to Serena, hoping that maybe she would catch on.

Lo smiled at Serena, and then smiled, and waved timidly at Jacob. "Hi," she said quietly. She wondered if he had remembered her from that morning. Shaking her thoughts away though, she turned to Draco as he began to introduce the thought of the picnic, hoping that Serena would realise that the "chosen one" would be holding it.

Hermione giggled, which seemed quite odd for her to do. Summer’s happiness was infectious. “Hopefully not too crazy!” She mentioned, wondering what Summer’s idea of crazy was. “And thanks.” The brunette thanked her.

Hearing everyone around them talk about the picnic and waiting for Ginny to reply about her idea of where the picnic should be held, she realized that they hadn’t asked Summer to join them. “Summer, you have to go to the picnic with us!” She exclaimed turning to look at her again.

Serena laughed, pretending to not notice when Draco said ‘my Serena.’ “Oh you.” She said, waving a hand at him. “Don’t mind him.” She said to Jacob. “He’s just teasing.” The Slytherin girl said, and realized that Draco and Jacob hadn’t been introduced to each other yet. “Draco, this is one of the new transfers, Jacob Black.” She said, making hand gestures to point him out, even though it was obvious that Jacob was the boy standing beside her. “And Jacob, this is Draco Malfoy. And you met Lo earlier.” She said, giving Lo a small smile, remembering their introductions to the boys earlier this morning.

“A picnic?” Serena questioned, intrigued. “Really now?” She said, spotting the wink that Draco had given her. Obviously something was going on or Draco and Lo wouldn’t have brought it up. Mind working deviously, she automatically concluded that it had to do with Potter and his group. “We should go.” She said smiling slyly. “Are you up for a picnic Jacob?” She asked, wondering if Jacob’s dislike for crowds would affect him here.


Cho, with no one talking to her, left the Great Hall and walked into the Entrance Hall. Seeing Malfoy and a few other Slytherins, she nodded her head in greeting. Just because Malfoy hated Potter and vice versa, didn't mean that Cho hated them too. The Ravenclaw raised an eyebrow as she noticed the Serena girl wave her hands around animatedly. What was she doing? Cho wondered to herself.

Giving that thought no more attention, she continued her way through the Entrance Hall and made her way outside. The sun was shining and a slight breeze ruffled her long shiny black hair. It really was perfect weather for a picnic.

Draco laughed not quite sure what to think of Serena. Yes, of course I'm just teasing, he thought to himself, and then plastered a tight smile to his face, and turned to Jacob. "Right, one of the transfers. Lo told me about you three this morning," he nodded, to the brunette slytherin girl standing next to him. He looked at her more closely, and took in her thin frame, slightly worried, then shook his head, not wanting to think about it. "Nice to meet you in any case," he said turning to Jacob. "Hopefully you'll stick around with us throughout your time here."

Lo listened to Serena and Draco talking, whilst Serena introduced him to Jacob. She looked at the boy closely, as they all waited for him to answer them. She then turned her attention to the crowds, people had been moving around them as they stood in the middle of the hallway. She shrugged and then noticed Draco looking at her weirdly, she gave him a look and then folded her arms, turning her attention back to the others.


"Yes really," Draco replied with a sly grin. "My thoughts exactly. It seems like a nice day for it," he said with a wink. He then turned to Jacob, as Serena asked him if he'd like to join them. I wonder if he'll fit in with us, he thought to himself. He then started to try to think up a plan of what they would do once they got there.


Lo noticed Cho nod her head at the group, she nodded her head back. She had always seen Cho crying, but maybe all she was, was feeling lonely, a little bit like herself. She then made a mental note to try and talk to her someday soon. She couldn't be as bad as the trio, could she?

Draco had spotted Lo nodding her head in the other direction and turned to see Cho passing. He knew that she had fallen for Potter, and that he had broken her heart, for one of the many Weasley's. He nodded to her also, assuming that he hated the trio as much as they did. And if she didn't, had she suspected something? After he processed his thoughs he turned around to look back at the group.

Riley had left the Common Room and went outside for a walk, it was such a nice day he even considered going back up to the common room to grab his broom so he could go for a ride. As he rounded a corner to go back into the castle, he ran into Cho again. "Ummm, hey Cho," he scratched the back of his head. "Hows it going?"

Serena looked at them both quizzically. She didn't want to ask Lo or Draco what was going on with the looks between the two in front of Jacob, in case it was too personal for them. Is something wrong? She thought to herself, looking Draco and Lo over. Draco looked just as perfect as ever. Although a bit tired but still the same. Glancing over to Lo, she carefully looked at her up and down, hoping she didn't notice the quick glances that Serena was giving her. Was she thinner? Serena asked herself, trying to remember what Lo had looked like before summer vacation had begun.

"It's starting now right?" She asked them, racking her brains quickly to see what they could do to spoil the Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaw's fun.


"Hey." Cho said automatically hearing her name as she whirled around. It was Riley. "Hi Riley." She said, giving him a smile. It was definitely a lot easier to smile now than before when she was talking to Ginny and Harry. "I'm alright. Going to a picnic..." She trailed off. "Do you want to come along?" She offered him, knowing that everyone would be invited if they could invite her of all people.

Still holding the door open, she suddenly thought of an excellent idea. Turning around, she looked at the group of Slytherins. "Hey!" She called, wondering if they would answer her. "Wanna come to a picnic?" She asked mischeviously.

Lo noticed Serena giving her quick glances, just like Draco did a moment ago. She quickly put a hand to her face, trying to do it subtly, to make sure there wasn't anything on her face. Finding that there was nothing there, she looked down around her. A bit confused, but she decided that maybe later, she would take it up with them.

With a mysterious look on her face, she thought of something they could do to the trio and their friends. "Maybe we could do something really subtle, and then extend it," she said outloud, not really knowing what she meant, and being sure that they didn't know either. "Well," she said beginning to try to clarify what she said, "We could do something little, like raising their food, something stupid like that, and then, um, finsih it off with something like.." she finished trailing off, her thoughts disappearing. She flushed hoping that she hadn't just embarrassed herself.




Draco turned around after hearing Cho yell at them. She was with, what was his name, Ryan? Riley? All he knew was that he was another Ravenclaw, but wasn't entirely sure what his stance on the trio was. Realising that maybe Cho did hate them as much as they did, a mischevious grin appeared to his face. "We sure do," he called out to her. "So, should we join her, and let her in on what's happening?" He asked them. "She might even have some ideas herself," he concluded looking from one to the other.

"A picnic? Ummm, sure." Riley smiled at Cho, but her head was turned talking to a couple of Slytherins across the way. "I guess I'll bring the potato salad.." He laughed awkwardly, regretting the stupid comment that had just come from his mouth. "So uhhh.." Riley tried to change the topic quickly. "Who else is going to be there?" He asked.

Miley saw Ginny and said, "Hey Gin, how are you," she asked

Serena looked at Lo. "Hmm." She said, thinking about her's suggestions. "That would be pretty funny." She said, thinking about the trio's reactions. "Or pranking their food and seeing the results would be pretty good too." She said, twirling her blonde hair around her finger.

Serena whipped her head around to look at Cho Chang, the 7th year. "I think we should go with her. It would be great!" She said dramatically to the group she was standing with, having an idea of what the reaction of Potter and his friends would be when they saw Slytherins with Chang.

Cho laughed as she heard his last comment when she was waiting for the Slytherins to discuss among themselves. Turning back to Riley, she smiled amused. "I'm sure someone else will take care of all the food." She said brightly.

Hearing his question, she shrugged her shoulders. "Looks like the new boys, Harry, Granger, the Weasleys and a few of their friends. And maybe the Slytherins?" She said, casting a look at the still talking Slytherins. She was quite excited to be seen with them and to see the reactions they would recieve. Maybe her last year at Hogwarts would be a lot more fun than she had anticipated.
