Ater was inwardly shocked when Cassie took his arm, but his face didn’t show it, the only expression on his face was a warm happy smile when he processed what happened and realized the girl had just willingly taken his arm.
When the petite girl said they were witches and gave him a teasing smile, he nearly melted inside; this shy girl was comfortable enough with him to flirt and it made him feel special, it was him she chose to open up to.

“Yes, I quite forgot I’m the one in danger of falling under your spell… or maybe I already have” he replied with a wink of his own and ice melting smile, he hadn’t meant to go into innuendos or use his charm, but he did, the night itself moved around the girl caressing her skin and whispering to her. As soon as he realized what he was doing he stopped immediately, and blushed ever so slightly and looked ahead, still holding the girls arm.

When they arrived at the great hall they all stopped and Ater looked around, it appeared they were going to be sorted into houses as well. He walked the girls to a table, and kissing the back of their hands, told them “it would seem I must leave for a while, I do not know if I am to sit with you after the sorting or at my table, but regardless I will return here shortly” he then laced his arm with Maddie’s and walked to where all the other demigods were, along with Maddie and bowed at them.

“Hope you had a safe journey” he said the people near him, names began to be called and he waited for his to ring. When it did, he released Maddie and walked to the dais and regally sat on the bench, the hat was placed on his head, and after a while called Slytherin, the boy then walked past the other newcomers and with a nod and reassuring smile at Maddie continued his journey to sit with Aggie and Cassie again.

Agatha watched with interest the exchange between Ater and Cassie, even getting her hairs on end as what Ater had done to the air around the girl was felt for a few instances by herself, damn the boy could do some interesting stuff.

Soon she was at the table, and Ater was leaving to be sorted and did so into Slytherin, she smiled thinking that was a perfect house for him. “Welcome back and congrats” she told him as he returned to table.

OOC: Sorry I'm late!!

Maddie's eyes shot up as she witnessed the interaction between Cassie and Ater. She couldn't say she really approved of the way he had called the night to tease her slightly, but she doubted he had done it on purpose, and he looked embarrassed afterward. She concealed a rueful smile at the both of them and took Ater's arm as he led her to the line of demigods that were waiting to be Sorted. She smiled formally to the rest of them, pulled a slight curtsy as Ater bowed. She didn't speak to them, though. It wasn't really in her nature to speak unless it was absolutely necessary. Instead, she waited for Ater to be Sorted in silence and followed him to the stool once he was finished.

When he had been placed in Slytherin and sent her a reassuring smile, she took his place and felt the Hat being lowered onto her head. It debated for several seconds, but seemed to be talking to itself rather than to her, so she kept her thoughts to herself. After a moment, it shouted, "HUFFLEPUFF!"

With a diplomatically neutral expression, Maddie made her way to a cheering table. Her eyes brightened when she saw Aggie and remembered it was her House as well. She smiled softly at the girl as she sat down next to her.

Cassie smiled shyly at why he said next, feeling her face heat up dramatically and her knees get a bit weak. His smile made her melt inside, but what came next she could hardly handle.

She could feel the night wind and atmosphere moving about her skin, making her shudder slightly. Cassie looked around her, searching for the soft whispering voice, but she simply couldn't find it no matter how hard she searched in the air around her. It was eerie, but somehow comforting, and she felt the need to come closer to the invisible whisper but couldn't.

Feeling a bit help less she turned to Ater who had turned an unusually vibrant color of pink on the surface of his cheeks, but he wasn't even looking at her...

As they continued the walk forard the thoughts suddenly clicked into place as she realized what had probably been happening. Ater. It was the only explanation... after all he was the son of the goddess of night.

Cassie blinked as he kissed her hand a gain, still rather slightly surprised as she seated herself a the Ravenclaw table.

She clapped as he sat at the Slytherin table, smiling. He had to be the nicest Slytherin I know. she thought.

Cassie grinned clapping loudly as Maddie was placed into Hufflepuff. She was with Aggie which was a good thing because they could hand out together during classes an Aggie could show her around and... Cass couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of them, but she stopped herself. there was till a chance for a 4 of them to get in the same classes... so there.

Dryas looked around and saw the gathering students. "I'm not exactly sure..." he said, looking around in slight confusion. Suddenly, he heard a name being called. Slipping his head out the door, he saw a few of the other demi-gods getting a raggedy old hat. It called out a name, and the girl stepped out and walked toward a a table. "I think they are distributing us throughout the school," he said, wondering at the strange human process.

Celena stuck her head out of the door, curious to see what was going on. Looking out, she saw a girl get a hat removed from her head. "Maddie?" she whispered, and smiled when she saw her cousin's face. She waved at her quickly, hoping that she would see.

Suddenly, she heard her name called and she looked up in surprise. A woman stood with the hat and beckoned her over. Celena stepped out, just as she had seen another do, and sat down on the bench. There was a voice, talking to her... and she talked with it. Suddenly, the voice was amplified. "GRYFFINDOR!" it called. The hat was removed and she looked over to where Rai was. After offering a smile, she looked out over the tables and walked toward the one decked out in red.

Mikki nodded then blushed. Yeah. But you can continue with your plan. She smiled.

Rai nodded then was called up to the stool. The hat was put on his head. As it talked it decided. Gryffindor!! it screamed.

No sooner had Celena settled onto a bench at the Gryffindor was the next name called. She only got the chance to nod and smile to the surrounding students before she looked up. Once more, her breath was taken away as the son of Zeus stepped out. She waited, hardly daring to hope, as the hat seemed to have a discussion with the demigod. Then, suddenly, it was announced. She beamed. "Long time no see," she said quietly.

Rai grinned, he sat beside her. Nice to see you again. He liked that he was in her house. This was going to be a great year.

Celena felt a tingle run along the side that was closest to him, and she fought the urge to shiver. There was just something between them, and she couldn't explain it. "What? Missing me already?" she teased with a smile, trying to hide her own shakiness.

Of course. You missing me? He laid his arm near hers.

Xander was called upon to be sorted. And just as the hat about to touch his head it announced "Ravenclaw, no doubt" He had expected that for his genealogy. His father described the houses and he said that Ravenclaw will suit me best.

Celena laughed softly. "Well, I was certainly worried," she admitted. This pertained to them being separated, but she wasn't going to say that. She cheered with the others as Xander was sorted into Ravenclaw. "Looks like you're stuck with me," she said with a grin.

Is that so bad? he asked. I think that's a lovely idea.

Celena laughed softly. "I quite like the sound of it myself," she told him with a smile. She watched as more were sorted, some being humans who looked like they were entering their first year. "So, what do you make of them?" she asked, indicating the humans surrounding them.

Maddie's eye brightened considerably when she saw Celena in line to be Sorted. She hadn't even known her cousin was there. She waved brightly at her, though was slightly disappointed when the other girl was Sorted into Gryffindor. Still, Aggie had said that some of the Houses had classes together, so she knew that she was see Celena again, and probably soon. She resisted the temptation to walk over and say hello to her, resting on ceremony rather than informality. She smiled lightly and poked Aggie in the shoulder gently with two fingers.

"That's my cousin Celena," she whispered.

Rai shrugged, I won't know until I get to know them. You? Rai watch the small insignificant humans get sorted.

Celena saw a quick movement and turned. There, she saw her cousin waving. She waved back, tempted to go over. But, since the ceremony was still going on, she decided to wait. She would have plenty of time to catch up with her cousin later.

Celena watched those being sorted and the group that surrounded them. "They look like they'll be fun to get to know... maybe they'll even teach us something," she said optimistically.

Maybe. Maybe not. We are, after all, are Demigods. What more do we need to know? Rai glanced around at the lights. I mean, Apollo could do these kind of lights.

"We may be Demigods... or demigoddesses, but that doesn't mean that we know everything," Celena pointed out calmly. Celena looked up at the ceiling. "Yes, he could... but they would be real. This is all an illusion of some kind... I would love to be able to create something like this," she said, smiling at the thought of her uncle. "Although I think Uncle Apollo wouldn't settle for something so small," she pointed out.

Rai smiled, Yeah I guess you're right. Rai looked over at all the decorations.

Celena looked over at Rai, confusion beginning to enter her mind. Rai seemed to have a whole different grasp of their purpose of being here. Not to mention, the humans... she pushed the thought away for later thought. For now, she would just enjoy getting to know him further and maybe finally get that kiss he had promised outside... she pushed away that thought too. Since when did she worry about such frivolities? She put her hands on the table, next to Rai's and glanced over at him with a smile once more. "I guess we'll find out whether I am or not throughout the year... but we shouldn't worry about that now," she pointed out. "Let's just have fun... enjoy ourselves. This is the first feast I have been to in a long while- as Xander was keen to point out," she said with a smile.

As Ater was going to move near the girls he realized, they were seated by houses, and so with a nod to then he found a place at the Slytherin table, from where he could watch his 3 friends. He was happy Maddie and Aggie were together, it would be good for the daughter of Apollo to have some company, she already knew.

With perfect manners he took some of the food in front of him as he watched the young mortal be sorted and laugh as they joined their friends, it was something nice to see. He patiently awaited other Demigods to be sorted and sit with him.

Aggie clapped as Maddie got sorted into Hufflepuff and smiled broadly at her friend “you’re a huffie! How nice!” she very nearly hugged the girl but caught herself in time.

She began placing some food in her plate when she felt her friend poke her on the shoulder and looked at where she pointed nodding “oh, you have family here, I’m happy for you” she told her with a smile “she’s pretty, but you’re prettier” the girl told her truthfully, she did think Maddie to be prettier, than her cousin.

She then nodded at Ater, when he sat at the Slytherin table and winked at Cassie, to let her know she want forgotten. After today they would be able to sit together, as they didn’t have to sit at their houses table unless it was a special occasion.

Selena sat down at the Slytherin table and watched as the little kids were sorted. No one stood out to her, no one seemed any different from the others. She clapped as first years were sorted into Slytherin but wasn't really paying attention.

Akantha did not have a lot of time to start a conversation with Rai as her name was soon called to be sorted. She didn't really have a clue which house the hat was going to shout out and sat patiently on the stool.
"Slytherin,"the hat bellowed out after the longest three seconds of her life so far.
"Well, that wasn't too bad,"she said to the others as she sat down a moment later at the Slytherin table.

Rai moved his hand closer. Not sensing her turmoil. Yes. Let's have fun. He thought of when he should kiss her. Probably not til tomorrow. He was getting tired.

Celena turned and smiled at him. "A wonderful idea... glad I thought of it," she said with a quick wink. She looked down at the plates before her, and sighed. She was beginning to get hungry and hoped the sorting would end soon. "Wonder what food they have," she said thoughtfully.

Dryas continued to peer around the corner, wondering what exactly was going on when the hat was placed on the head. "Wonder what-" he had just been about to voice his thoughts to Siena when his name was called. "Sorry fair maiden, I must bid thee farewell," he said with a bow. His name was called again, and he quickly walked out to the slight laughter of the crowd.

Celena even had to laugh as she saw Dryas come out. "So, he's here too... this should be fun," she said, leaning on the table as she watched the son of Demeter.

Dryas went to the stool and soon the hat was on his head. There was a voice, but not his own, talking. Suddenly, it was amplified and he winced at the sound: "RAVENCLAW!" Soon, he was able to see again, and he moved toward the table. Glancing back, he hoped that Siena's turn was soon... and he wondered where she would be placed.
