Liam went to sit beside her and smiled crookedly, "Well, that would be a bit hard to do seeing as you don't know where to find him." he said with a laugh, leaning against the steps. Olivia looked around as if she would see somewhere for them to go, "Well- seeing as I know less about this town than you do, I have no clue." she said, "Do you want to get back into the car and just drive around, maybe we will find something." |
Annabelle grinned back and said, "Then fill me in. Where is he? And why is he so hard to find?" She leaned back against the stairs too, and turn to look at Liam. Draco shook his head, "No- i think i want to walk. Are you up for that? It's too nice a day to sit in the car." He looked up at the sky, and let the sun warm his face. |
Liam shrugged, "Well I'm not so sure if I shoould tell you." he replied, running his fingers through his hair, "How can I trust you?" he asked, instantly regretting that he let it slip. Olivia smiled, "Sure, I'm up for a walk." she said, standing up and grabbing her purse, "Let's go then." she said enthusiasticly. |
Annabelle smiled flirtatiously and said, "Oh come on Liam. Who am i going to tell?" she moved closer and nudged him with her shoulder. "You can trust me, really you can. I promise I won't tell." She held up her pinky finger and smiled innocently up at him. Yes, she was supposed to flirt with Draco- didn't mean she couldn't have fun in the meantime. Plus- she loved secrets. "Alright then, lets go." Draco grabbed his ice cream off the table, smiled cheekily at the kid at the counter and lead Olivia over to the sidewalk. Then he stopped, looking down both directions and than at Olivia. "Which way?" |
Liam smirked again, he knew that she was flirting with him and he didnt want to let himself get caught into the drama, but then again if she liked the idea of being a death eater, then maybe he could take her to voldemort when he went back, "Do you really want to know?" he asked. Olivia smiled, "Right, I always pick right." she said with a laugh, "don't ask me why, I just always have." she added |
Annabelle smiled again. "Yes. I really do. I'm intrigued." She knew by his reaction, that he wasn't buying her flirting. She shrugged it off, she still wanted to know what the whole 'master' thing was. Seriously- who called people 'master' anymore. She giggled at the thought, it was ridiculous. "Right it is. Maybe it's because it's always right to pick right because right is always right, right?" Draco smirked, he was being ridiculous. But he really was starting to relax.. and- shockingly- he was really starting to enjoy Olivia. It was easier to talk to her, then to be fighting all the time, and he was starting to learn it could even be pleasant. |
"Well, then I will tell you. Voldemort is a very powerful wizard, but he is also very weak, so he has sent me off to find Olivia and bring her back to him so that he can use her for a Horcrux." he said quickly, hoping that it hadn't freaked her out. Olivia looked at him for a second and then started to laugh, "Oh right!" she said happily, jumping into the air, "Now see, that is the side of you I would like to see more often." she added, patting his arm lightly and giving his a genuine smile |
Annabelle stared at Liam in shock. Wizard. Voldemort. Horcrux. She didn't know what to say. This was crazy- it couldn't be, he couldn't be. No way. She broke their gaze quickly, realizing she had been staring, and glanced out at the parking lot. "Wizard? Horcrux? You're insane." She looked at him accusingly and scooted back a little bit. "Why would you tell such stupid lies? At least be a little more discreet." Draco looked at Olivia, a little confused. Everything about him was screaming that he was making an idiot out of himself. He was a Malfoy. Malfoy's were raised from the crib to treat all others with disgust and contempt. He shouldn't be so nice and friendly to this girl. It was embarrassing. But then again, he was stuck here in this muggle world alone with Olivia. Wouldn't his family say to at least stick to his own kind? What did his family know anyways, Olivia wasn't horrible... He turned back to her and just shrugged his shoulders in response, taking a big bite of ice cream. |
Liam shrugged, "Well you wanted to know didn't you? And how do you know I wasn't just making up some kind of weird story?" He smirked as he leaned against the steps again, "So, tell me something about you." he said. Olivia noticed his change in mood again and frowned as she stopped walking, "Why do you always do that?" she asked, not giving him a chance to ask what, "Why do you act so cool and fun, and then when I compliment you on it, or try to be your friend, you snap?" She shook her head, she had thought that he wasnt the person she knew in Hogwarts, but maybe she had been wrong. Blushing severly at her outburst she shovled ice cream into her mouth. |
Annabelle looked at Liam shrewdly, "I don't know. You just don't seem like the type to have that vivid an imagination." She leaned back against the steps as well, and returned to a casual countenance. "I'll tell if you tell. Something about myself? I have secrets. Interesting secrets. Ones that you just might relate to. Your turn." Draco rubbed a hand over his eyes. Then he said quickly, as if trying to spill it all out, "Look. I've been raised to dispise everyone other then myself. Malfoy's think about Malfoy's first and foremost. We look down on anyone who isn't a pureblood" he waved vaguely at Olivia. "I've lived that way almost my entire life. I'm still trying to get over it and i finally relax and act human when you compliment me on it and make me concious of what i'm doing. Then i stop. I'm sorry." He looked away, embarrassed at his speech and shoved his free hand into a pocket. |
Liam laughed, "Well, I have a rather large and cool "tatoo" on my arm, he said with a smirk, "Your turn." he added. Olivia tried not to smile, she was secretly glad that Draco had told her the truth, but slightly hurt that he didn't even know that she was a Purblood as well, just not as obsessed about it. She continued walking and looked at him, "Well, just for the record, I am a Pureblood, so you really don't have to worry about that, and as for the rest of it, don't shut down on me okay? I do really enjoy your company when you act like a normal person, and I mean that." she said. |
Annabelle raised an eyebrow "Oh really? Can i see this tatoo?" She reached for his hand, without waiting for permission and pulled it toward her. Lightly brushing back his long sleeve she looked for the tatoo. There wasn't anything there. She turned over his hand and looked on the back. Still nothing. She pushed the sleeve up higher and there wasn't anything there either. It was on his other arm. She stretched across him and reached for his other hand, but couldn't quite reach. Draco sighed and even though it damaged his pride in more ways then one he said, "I'm sorry. I don't mean to 'shut down' it's just a bad habit i'm trying to break. I'll get over it eventually. But, how are you a pureblood? I know all the pureblood families- and you weren't in slytherin. Almost every pureblood is in Slytherin. Who are you related to?" He looked at her quizzically. |
Liam laughed as she looked at the wrong arm, "Well, sure you can." he said, pulling up the sleeve of his shirt, he showed her his dark mark. "See, there it is." he added with another smirk. Olivia blushed when he asked who she was related to, "I don't think I want to tell you that, you might shun me." she said with a small laugh, "But I will say this, my father is a pureblood, and so was my mother." she said, hoping that he wouldn't push her further so she would have to admit that she was related to the Parkinson's. |
Annabelle raised an eyebrow and looked at him suspiciously. She was sure this had something to do with his how 'secretive' air. She was sure he would have been a little more protective of it. Frowning she said vaguely, "Yes... there it is.." Draco frowned, "I won't shun you, I'm probably related to you if you're pureblood. I want to know how. What was your mother's last name?" He continued walking shoving his hands in his pockets and waiting intently for Olivia's answer. He was still stuggling with his attitude. It was difficult, but getting easier all the time. |
Liam nodded, "Well you did want to see it didn't you?" he asked, shrugging, "So, are you going to tell me about Annabelle now?" he asked, smirking. Olivia looked away and looked back at him, "Uhmymother'slastnamewasParkinson." she said, quickly, wanting to take it back as soon as she had said it, she hope Draco wouldn't lump her into the same group as her family. She looked up at him again, expecting him to laugh. |
"Yeah. I wanted to see it," she said non-commitally. Then thankfully grasping onto the topic change she smiled and said, "What do you want to know about Annabelle?" Draco grasped onto the only word he could understand "Parkinson".He raised an eyebrow and said, "Parkinson? Pansy never mention you were... well of course she wouldn't." He thought he knew everything about the Parkinson family. He had a right to, what with their...connections. They must have kept that completely quiet. Why would they though? If her mother had married a pureblood, they'd have no reason to disown her. If they didn't disown her, why would they not talk about her? Maybe is was the whole Gryffindor thing.. He shook his head and shrugged it off. |
Liam smirked, "Whatever she wants to tell me." he said, not giving her any options. Olivia nodded, "Yeah, they don't talk to us though, because my mother married a Gryffindor and they got really mad when I was sorted into Gryffindor, and then, my mom died, and they really had no reason to care, they didn't even go to her funeral." she said, stopping to shovel melting ice cream into her mouth to prevent her from saying anything that would be potentially embarrassing. |
"Well. She has green eyes, and brown slightly curly hair. She's about 5'5" and weighs 110 pounds. She was born in Coulter Pennsylvannia, unfourtunately." Annabelle let out a small laugh, "She has a red birthmark on her left shoulder blade, and a crescent shaped scar on her right hand." She held out the hand for Liam to look at and leaned her head back against the steps. Her green eyes staring up at the sky trying to find shapes in the clouds and brown hair splayed out behind her almost acting as a pillow. "Does that answer your question?" Draco, a little embarrassed at bring up such a touchy subject frowned and said "I'm sorry to here that." the he chucked the last of his ice cream in a garbage can they were passing and looked around for somewhere they could sit down. |
Liam smirked again, maybe talking to this girl wasn't as bad as he had thought it would be, maybe she really could be usefull to him in Olivia's case. "Very much so." he said, satisfied at her answer, "So, I do have a question for you, how do you like Olivia feels about you?" he asked, hoping for something that they could use. Olivia blushed slightly and repositioned her hair so that Draco wouldn't see. "So." she asked, looking up at him, "Do you have to report to my father every day or something?" she asked. |
Annabelle closed her eyes, letting the sun warm her face and raised an eyebrow. "Why do you care, anyways? Going to track me down if i don't do your job for you?" Her voice was half teasing, half sarcastic. "I've only met her once- it'd be hard getting on her good side, AND his. Especially since they seem to have a 'thing' going on. I can make her like me though. I can make anyone like me." Draco quickly tried to figure out how much to tell her, yes. He was supposed to send her father an owl frequently. Not every night- they couldn't draw to much attention to themselves in a muggle neighborhood. He should be responding every other day though- sending the owl at different times each night. Deciding that she didn't need to know that, he shrugged and said. "Nope, not every night. Only maybe once a week. Just so he knows what's going on. I'm sure you could send him a letter yourself if you wanted. He seems very worried about you." He tried to keep the envious edge out of his voice, and succeeded pretty well. His father never worried about him, his mother did- but she was his mother. |
Liam laughed, "Well I was thinking more trying to make her hate you, if she hates you and then sees you with Draco, she will turn against him, trust me I know what maes the girl tick, I used to go to school with her." Olivia smiled at the thought of owling her father, it would be nice to hear from him. she thought. She turned her smile to Draco and nodded, "I don't think you should tell him about skipping class, its not like I ran off on my own." she said with a shrug, not quite sure if Draco would go for it. |
Annabelle smiled, "Getting her to hate me would be easy too. Easier then making her like me." She smiled at the thought thinking of different ways to do it when she heard Liam's last sentence. She bolted upright and stared at him, "You went to school with her?? She acts like she doesn't know you. And she just moved here from England. You lived in England?" Draco laughed, "I had no intention of telling him we skipped class. I would be in as much trouble as you would if he found out. I'd be in more trouble. I'm supposed to be watching you. I doubt you father would consider letting you wander around town taking care of you- even if i did come with you." |
Liam nodded, "she doesn't remember me, we were never friends, in different houses, and I aways kept my distance." he told her, noting the curiousity in her eyes. Olivia smiled, "Well, that's true, if he found out, he would kill me, but I suspect he would kill you first." she added with a laugh, noticing that her ice cream was gone. "So." she started looking up from the empty cup, "Where to now?" she asked, she figured since she had picked the ice cream, he should pick next. |
Annabelle shrugged and said "As long as she doesn't remember you. That could complicate things quite a bit." Leaning back again, and getting impatient for the other two to come back she said "Tell me about this school of yours. Houses? I've never heard of that before. What's it like?" Draco grinned and said "Well, lets agree not to tell him shall we? I think we both prefer being alive." He thought about her question for awhile, and realizing how hot is was getting, decided some water would be nice. "Maybe we should ask around and see if theres a park with a river or lake or something near by. What do you think?" |
"Well, it is like a boarding school, I suppose, when you come in at first year, you are sorted into one of the four houses, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. We have sommone rooms, and dorms and other than that, it is pretty much like this school, except we don't have the same kind of classes." he sai, running his fingers through his hair. "I was in Slytherin house, and Olivia was in Ravenclaw with the other smarty pants people." Olivia nodded, "Sounds nice." she said looking over her shoulder to where their car was still sitting in the parking lot of the ice cream place, "Do you want to walk back and ask our friend?" she asked, refering to the creepy ice cream dude. |
