Draco sighed, "Look. I can just tell. This guys is no good. I-I can't tell you how i know.... you wouldn't understand" he invented, then lowered his voice. "But i have an idea. I need to be able to talk to you and tell you to stop talking, or to get away from somewhere if things are getting dangerous. I have a spell i can preform to make a link between our minds, so if we need to be able to communicate- i can feel for that link, open my mind to it, and then talk to you. You'll be able to block me if you want, but if its important i'm going to keep probing you until you let me through, and that's painful. Are you alright with that?" He was leading them down a corridor as they spoke, looking for somewhere that would work... |
ooc: whoops.. sorry! |
Olivia nodded her head, not sure how it would be with Draco inside her head, but he seemed persistant. "Well, okay, it would be easier to communicate with each other." she said, agreeing to his plan. She looked around the school as they walked, "But where are we going?" she asked. |
Draco paused, pushed open a door and looked in. It was a janitor's closet. How cliche. He shrugged, it would work. Pushing open the door a little farther he walked in, grabbing Olivia's wrist and pulling her in behind him. "We're going here. We don't want someone seeing us doing magic. That would not be good." Draco dug into his bag and pulled out his wand, "Now, take my left hand with both of yours." He held out his left hand and waited for her to take it. |
Olivia fought back a smirk as she took his hand, "Are you sure you know what you are doing?" she asked, nervously, looking at his wand. A group of people walked past the door with a loud commotion and she looked out the window. |
Draco nodded his head, "Yes, of course i know what i'm doing. I've done it before. Now, be quiet.. i've got to concentrate." He pointed his wand at their hands and waved the wand in a complicated movement muttering 'claro concero'. A long flowing line of gold and green fire in circled their hands, he held it for a few moments then broke the connection jerking his wand in a complicated flick. Then pulling his hand away he searched in his mind for the link. He found it it was a complete strange sensation. It was a wierd, alien feeling, a complete invasion of privacy. It was Olivia's mind. |
Olivia thought about pouring freezing cold water over Draco's head in his sleep, and waited to see his reaction. |
Draco looked at her with raised eyebrows and thought "Imagine, you're hanging upside down by your toes in your bedroom. Wouldn't that be comfy?" |
Olivia gasped and shot him a "don't you dare" look as she shook her head, "Well, at least we know that it works." she said picking up her bookbag. She wondered if Draco would secretly use this connection to spy on her thoughts. |
Draco nodded and smiled, "Told you i knew what i was doing. Now, what class do we have now?" he asked digging around in his book bag for his schedule. |
Olivia shrugged, "I dunno. You still have my schedule." she said, nodding to his bookbag where he had shoved all of their stuff when he pulled her outside. She leaned closer to see what the paper said, but couldn't read it upside down, "What is it?" she asked. |
ooc: you're evil. lol. i was trying to pass that decision off on you. *sticksouttongue* Draco looked down at his paper, the first thing on the list was "English? Why on earth do we have to learn English. I already know English. Muggles are stupid." A kid passing gave him a strange look at the sound of the word. He glared at him in return then said in a lowered voice, "And Math? Gym? Science? This is ridiculous." |
haha Olivia gave him a look as he ranted, "Hey." she whispered, "Muggles aren't supposed to know that you are a wizard." she said putting her hand on his arm, "Calm down. Can't you just skip the classes you don't like, like you did at Hogwarts?" she asked, making sure no one was around. "Do we have the same classes?" she asked, grabbing her paper from his hand. |
Draco took a deep breath, surprisingly the hand on his arm really did help him calm down. "I have a feeling i'm not going to like any of these classes.." he muttered. He let go of her schedule, then dug around for his. "I don't know, look at mine," he handed it over |
Olivia took Draco's schedule and held it up next to hers, they had quite a few classes together. And to her suprise, she found that she knew nothing about any of her classes. "Well." she bsatrted with a sigh, "Every one is the same, except, right after lunch, you have PE, but I have a study hall." she said to him, pointing to the slots on their papers. |
Draco looked down at the schedules and nodded, "Yep. What is study hall?" He raised an eyebrow. Annabelle walked down an almost vacant hallway. Not too far a long was Liam, standing at his locker fiddleing with his dial. She walked over to him and leaned against the locker next to his, "Hey." she said simply. |
Liam raised an eyebrow at Annabelle and smirked. "Hey yourself." He said pulling his books out of his locker, "What's the news?" he asked. Olivia shrugged, "Um, I guess it is a class where we study." she guessed. |
Draco snorted and said "I would assume so. Ugh. This is going to take some getting used to. Might as well get started though. Come on, lets go to 'english'" He started off down the hallway, then realized he didn't know where he was going. "Which way is it?" ooc: Is Annabelle in with Liam yet? Annabelle smirked and said "No news. What about you? Anything interesting?" She fingered the binding of the book she was carrying, running her pointer finger up and down the spine. It was oddly relaxing.. |
Liam leaned against his locker and smirked, "I have got a propostion for you." he said smoothly, not breaking his gaze from hers Olivia looked at the schedule again and pointed down the opposite hall, "That way." she said with a smile. ooc: not yet... |
Annabelle raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A proposition, really.. Do tell." Her lips puckered into a self-satisfied smirk. Draco smiled, and laughed at himself. "This way it is then." He flipped open his book bag and stuffed in his schedule. His fingers brushed against a little piece of paper, and he grasped onto it. Pulling it up a little bit, he again saw the picture of Olivia. It was a newpaper clipping from what Draco assumed was the Prophet, and she was standing next to her father. It looked like they were at some political event, like the Minister had just given a speech. She was standing quietly off to the side, waving and smiling, but it was obvious the person who had ripped it out was interested in her. Her father could have easily have been the subject, but he was only half in the picture, same with the woman on Olivia's other side. Someone was taking to particular an interest in Olivia, and he was going to find out why. |
Liam laughed, "I see you have made fast friends with that Draco guy." he started, looking down the hall to see Olivia standing in the end. Olivia turned back to look at Draco. "You coming?" she aske, walking back to him to see what he was doing. |
Annabelle nodded slowly, "Well. I'm not sure if you'd call it 'friends'. But yeah- we've talked. So what?" He was up to something.. she was half intrigued, half wary. Okay. maybe 3/4's wary.. Draco started and shoved the picture back down into hid book bag. He needed to wait to think about everything until after school- but they had that party. Draco sighed. Things were about to get complicated... "Yeah, I'm coming." He picked up the pace and caught up with Olivia. |
"Well, I am in need of someone, preferably you, to distract him, keep him away from Olivia as much as possible, say at this party tonight, talk to him, flirt with him, whatever you desire. Just keep him away." Liam said, crossing his arms across his chest. Olivia smiled at him as he caught up, "Are you feeling okay?" she asked, slightly concerned, "You seem.... jumpy." |
Annabelle raised her arched eyebrow even higher, "And why on earth would i do that? I mean- don't get me wrong. It could be interesting, but why should i do what you want me to? Give me one good reason." Draco nodded, "Yeah. I'm fine. Why would you say that? Nothing's wrong." He looked around the hallway, searching for a topic change. "Are we almost there? I think class must have already started. No one else is around... Where are they all?" |
Liam searched his mind for an answer, and said the first thing that came to his mind, "Well, I like Olivia, and I know that Draco doesnt like me, plus he is weirdly protective of her, so I need him to be distracted, so I can... get to know her better." he lied. Olivia laughed, "Wow. calm down she said with a smile.Maybe we should skip class and get some fresh air instead." she suggested, knowing full well that he used to skip classes at Hogwarts. |
