Pam nodded, and followed Jez up to the spare bedroom. As she entered, her eyes lit up. "Sonwball!" It had been a little over a year since she had seen her beautiful white bunny. She ran over, opened up the carrier, and out popped a white furball. Snowball seemed to share the same happiness to see her owner. The little bunny hopped around Pam, and then jumped onto her lap. Pam ran her fingers through the soft fur, and was instantly happy. "Mommy missed her Snowball, yes she did." She said in her baby voice. It was a voice she only used around her bunny.

After a few minutes, she then remembered that she had an owl. Her owl didn't like trains, so Pam always made sure her owl was able to fly home, instead of ride with her. Teri was a different kind of owl though. She always seemed to find her way back to Pam. It was a talent Teri always had. So when Pam looked toward the window, she hoped she would find her brown owl tapping against it. And, thankfully, that's what she fuond. Bunny in hand, she walked over and let her owl in. She flew in, and landed ontop one of the cages, hooting happily.

Jordan felt a bit weird as Matt put his arms around him and Pam before calling the His Family but he shrugged it off as he walked towards the house with Jez and Pam. He wondered why Matt now had such dark feeling about Lex Black, he wanted to find out more about this kid before he could properly get along with him. At least he was a known prankster, then he and Jordan would get along just fine.

He wa relieved to find his trunck and all of his possessions when he joine the two girls in his room, and was somehow pleased to find that Rowena was also there. But as Pam food her rabbit and her owl was outside te window, Jordan looked around at his empty owl cage and turned to look out the window. "I don't think Jazz has made it, it never takes her this long to find me," he said, fearing the worst for his owl.

Jez draped Rowena around her neck like a scarf as she walked over to Jordan. She put a comforting arm around his shoulders. "Maybe she's just having trouble finding you because you're in a different country?" she suggested. "Don't give up yet!" She really hoped Jazz had survived. Pets were family just as much as siblings, and that owl was part of their big, mismatched, crazy family.

Keegan and Leigh came in as well, both with a twin hanging off one leg. Keegan bent down to free Toenails and Nate's owl, the occupant of the other cage. Toenails hopped onto Keegan's shoulder and nipped his ear affectionately, while Elijah when off in search of his own master. Tessa and Mary-Todd squealed in delight at the sight of Snowball, and ran over to Pam to stroke her.

Matt heard the commotion in the spare bedroom and set his guitar back up on the wall. "Come on," he motioned to Nate, "Let's go." They got to the bedroom and made their way in past Keegan and Leigh.

Leigh just chuckled a little as his little brother came into the room. "He and Nate seem to be getting along just fine. That can only be good," he said with a smile.

Matt walked over to Jez for a moment. "Hey there, Ro," he said leaning down to pet Jez's cat. "You feeling better Jez?" Jez needn't answer him, as the smile on her face told the whole story. He walked over to Jordan next. "So, I hear you're a bit of a prankster yourself?" Jordan's inquisitive look opened the perfect window of opportunity for Matt. Matt quickly pulled out his wand and pointed it at Snowball. As everybody made a motion to protest and stop Matt, he whirled back around, and without a word, made Nate's nose completely invisible! Everyone sat back down and had a good laugh, with the exception of Nate, who had just looked in a mirror and realized what had happened. Matt just chuckled and admired his handiwork.

"I like some metal, but I'm more of a rock guy. The music I listen to is almost a hundred years old," Nate said as he left the room with Matt to go meet with the rest of the group. As they walked into the guest room, Nate asked, "Hey, has anyone seen Elijah?" As if on cue, the elf owl slammed into his owner's stomach, taking Nate to the floor. "Good to see you, too, bud," he said, scratching behind Elijah's ears as he cooed happily. Nate then stood up to join the conversation, and to his surprise found a wand in his face. It was no harm, though. He didn't feel anything. Just to be sure he checked a mirror, and alas he had no nose. Or at least it looked like he had no nose. He could still feel it there when he checked with his hand. "I've had worse," he said evenly as he turned back toward Matt.

Pam happily let the twins pet Snowball. She seemed to like all the attention she was getting. As Pam looked up towards the group, she found a wand pointed at her rabbit. Her eyes widened. There was no way this boy was going to bring harm to the only living thing she had of home. Her hand went to the wand that was strapped to her leg, but before she could get it out, Matt twisted around and made Nate's nose invisible. Pam burst out laughing. "That's what you get for almost killing us on the way here!" She said happily. "Nice one Matt."

"Yes I am a prankster," Jordan smiled at Matt. "And I've heard that you are quite the prankster too." he said, before watching as Matt pointed his wand at Snowball and then turning Nate's nose invisible. His sudden shock quickly turned into humour as he burst out laughing at the disappearance of Nate's nose. "Nice one!" Jordan laughed as he clapped Matt on the shoulder. "You and me are going to get along just fine Matt." he said before concentrating slightly on his and Matt's features.

Jordan then looked at Matt, "That was a nice trick, but hows this for one?" he winked as he used his metamorphmagus abilities to manipulate his own appearance so that he became an identicle copy of Matt, just in Jordan's t-shirt, chinos and converse trainers. "What do you think?" he asked Matt, who wasn't probably aware of Jordan's and Pam's abilities.

Matt was happy. He saw Pam and Jordan laughing, and even Nate had a smile at Matt's latest prank. Matt looked at Jordan and saw Jordan morph into an exact copy of Matt's appearance. Matt backed away bewildered. "What on Earth?!" Then it hit him. "Oh, wait... I can't believe I didn't pick it up sooner. You must be a metamorphmagus! That's a nice trick there, friend," he said with a smile. "Hey Nate, would you like some help with that?" he asked, in reference to Nate's missing nose.

Jez laughed with her friends as Matt made Nate's nose disappear. She was really happy that they were all getting along reasonably well. Keegan was looking more relaxed than he had in months, and even Des was smiling.

"Here," she said, going over to Nate and tapping his nose gently with her wand. "Revelio." She smiled as the spell worked and Nate's nose became visible again. "I wouldn't mess with us too much though," she warned Matt, turning to him with her hands on her hips. "We can play pranks too." With that, she flicked her wand at him and cast a silent Levicorpus.

Nate was perfectly able to bring his own nose back into sight, and even Jez knew that. However, she made up for the slight embarrassment Nate felt from her by sending Matt into the air. "Wow, Matt, you never said you could fly!" he called out with a coifed, amused look on his face. It's best to look serious when saying something utterly outrageous. The underage magic occurring probably wasn't good, but then Nate remembered something: they were in France, and no longer under the jurisdiction of the British Ministry. Which meant that Nate could do what he is just then. "Evanesco." Matt's shoes? Gone. Not invisible, but gone. Handy-dandy vanishing charm. "You needed new shoes anyway. Those were tattered."

Pam, who was happily watching the twins try to get their older brother down from the ceiling, kept quiet. She really didn't have much to say, and she really hoped she didn't need to either. She liked being on the ground, and she liked her shoes on her feet. Although she did need a new pair. She hoped they could go down to a muggle shoe store to snag a new pair. Again, her mind wondered to shoes as everyone else messed around. After a few minutes, a thought popped into her head. "Are we all sleeping in this room?" She asked, looking around. It wasn't the biggest room she had been in, but it wasn't the smallest either. But it looked rather small with not only luggage, but ten people in it aswell.

"Hey!" Matt yelled as Jez lifted him into the air. Matt looked back at his feet to see that his shoes were gone. "What? Nate!" When the twins ran over to try and pull Matt down, they couldn't reach him. "Well, I have to be honest. That was a good team effort. Pam, could you please pull me down from here? My wand is there on the floor. If you don't know any spells for this situation, use Carpe Retractum to pull me down from here, if you would?"

Pam sighed and nodded as a request to get him down was brought up. She placed her rabbit back in its cage (without closing the door), and got up. She grabbed her wand from her leg holster, and pointed it at Matt. With a flick of her wrist, and a murmer of Carpe Retractum, Matt came slowly down to the ground. But what Pam forgot, thanks to her lack of attention in D.A.D.A, is that the object you are pointing at, gets pulled towards you. She should have paid more attention in calss.

Matt began getting slowly pulled down toward the ground. As he got closer, he realized that Pam hadn't let go of him yet. "Uhh Pam..." he began, realizing that impact was imminent. "Pam, call off the charm... I'm good here.... Pam... Pa-" His last sentence was cut off as his weight colliding with Pam caused them to fall to the ground. "Well... th-this is well... u-umm..." Matt stammered, quickly trying to come up with words to apologize to everyone. For once in his life, Matt couldn't think of an intelligent way out of the situation. He looked down at Pam, gave a shy, sheepish smile, then decided his best course of action would be to stand up. "Haha sorry about that guys. Don't know the strength of Pam's charms quite yet, I guess," he said with a forced laugh. He looked around at the group with shoulders shrugged, his lips curled in an embarassed smile. "hehe so... maybe we should go get some shoes?"

Keegan shook his head at Nate and Jez's antics. "Stop being mean, you two," he reprimanded, but he couldn't help smiling. Matt really did look weird upside-down. He was about to bring Matt back to earth himself, but Pam sorted it out. He decided that that was quite enough underage magic for one day - if he let it go on much longer these kids would be hexing everything in sight like they were actually of-age. "Okay, 5 minutes to get cleaned up, use the bathroom, whatever you gotta do, then to the front door! You guys probably need fresh air as much as I do after that car ride, and since new shoes seem to be in order ..."
"A shopping trip?" Des looked positively ecstatic at that proposition.
"Wait," cut in Leigh. "We'd better assign bedrooms first. Like Pam said, this room isn't going to fit 6 people. There's a smaller bedroom down the hall, should fit two, possibly three if you leave your trunks in here. Des and Keegan can have the twin beds in here, we can either transfigure an armchair into a bed or get a sleeping bag for another person. If you can't fit three in the smaller bedroom then someone can sleep on Matt's floor. It's either that or the twins' room, but I don't think we could stuff a bed in with all their stuff." He looked expectantly at the four kids.
Jez shrugged. "I'll stay in here." Keegan looked slightly relieved, and Jez couldn't help thinking her brother wanted to keep an eye on her.
"Right, we'll work it all out while we're walking," said Des quickly, obviously not wanting to put off the trip down to the village any longer. She grabbed her bag and marched off to the bathroom. "Meet downstairs in 5."

5 minutes later, Jez had changed into comfier clothes, and was turning cartwheels on the lawn again. Tessa and Mary-Todd were trying to copy her but just ending up in a heap, giggling too much to accomplish anything. Keegan was chatting with Leigh, both leaning against the house as they watched the twins and Jez and waited for the rest of the group to emerge.

Jordan had metamorphed himself back to normal during the pranking of Matt at the hands if Nate and Jez. But he couldn't help but feel slightly jealous as Pam and Matt collapsed to the floor in a giggling heap on top of eachother. He couldn't figure out what was causing him to feel that way, all he knew was that he didn't like it one bit. However his mood was lifted slightly at a mention of going into the village to do a bit of shopping. He needed some new clothes, and because of all of the travelling around they had been doing Jordan only had a small selection of clothes to pick from that actually fitted him.

In a short while Jordan had joined Jez, Keegan, Leigh and the twins out on the grass and he couldn't help but laugh at the cartwheeling Jez and the twins crashing down on the green surface. He decided to stand with Keegan and Leigh, "What is there for us to do around here? Anything that's worth visiting whils we're here?" he asked a question directed at Leigh.

As Matt was floating down towards her, she realized she needed to stop the spell. But she couldn't remember how. She struggled for a couple of seconds, trying to remember, but nothing came. So Matt just landed on her. Pam blushed slightly, embarrased that someone she had just met was now on her. But she just laughed the whole thing off, hoping no one would notice how pink she had gottenl. As she stood up and dusted herself off, she glanced over at Jordan. Something was up, she could tell. But it wasn't just the fact that there was a small amount of green in his hair. He had a look on his face that she had used many times in her first year. She felt bad that she had caused the same feelings she hated entirely. But at the mention of shopping, Pam forgot all about Jordan and his jealousy. "I like shopping." She said eagerly. As the bed arrangments were being figured out, Pam snuck away to get changed.

After about five minutes, Pam came happily outside, where she found a carwheeling Jez, and two giggling girls. "Hey guys." She said with a wave. She walked over to the three, crouched down, and looked at the twins. "There's no way she could do better than me." She said with a wink. She then got up, did a handstand, and started walking around on her hands.

Matt saw Pam blushing and it made him feel light inside, a certain strange euphoria he hadn't yet felt. As everyone was discussing sleeping arrangements, Matt interjected "Anyone is welcome to sleep in my room!" He then walked to his room to find some shoes to throw on to go shopping.

A few minutes later, Matt emerged from the house to see Jez doing cartwheels and Pam walking around on her hands. Matt began laughing to himself. "Are we living in a cirque?" he asked jokingly. He waited for Pam to be facing him, then waved. "Hello there!" He then pretended as if he dropped something, and got down to the ground to look for it. Amidst his acting, he whispered to Pam. "Don't forget... we still need to talk. In private." He flashed a quick smile, then got back up. "So, where shall we go first? It's a shame this isn't Paris. I love visiting the Llouvre." He looked at Jordan quickly and said in an explanatory manner, "I like to make the images in the paintings move while people are watching them."

Alright, shopping! "I can sleep on Matt's floor," Nate said almost immediately after offered. He could already tell he would get along with him, and Matt seemed like a Ravenclaw already, which opened up the potential for them to share a House the coming term. Brilliance. Concerning the new shoes, Nate looked down at his own feet. Beat-up blue Converse, his favorite spells scrawled all over in silver sharpie. The soles were falling out as though melted and separate from the shoes themselves, and the eyelets were all but gone. It's what Hogwarts does to a shoe. Nate decided right then to keep that pair, perhaps encase them in glass, but he still needed new ones. So he ran down the stairs, nearly headlong into the wall. Nearly. He spared but an inch or two as he squeezed through the doorframe and dove out into the lawn, tucking and rolling before popping up and sticking the landing. The maneuver, Nate was sure, was much more graceful in his own mind than in practice.

Once standing again, Nate looked around at everyone else. Keegan standing watch, Des looking her impatient self. The others were a different story. Jez, Pam, and the twins were all doing cartwheels and handstands, Jordan asking his usual questions. Nate just plopped down and watched the girls heap together as he laughed as to-himself as possible. They really were hilarious.

Des was the last one out of the house, walking out haughtily after Nate's crazy dive. "We're all here then?" she asked, looking around at the group, silently counting heads. "Good! Allons-y!" With that, she led the way down the winding lane to the village.

The small village only had a few shops, and one of them was a clothing shop that sold secondhand clothes as well as new ones. Des didn't seem to mind - she was happy enough to browse through the racks, running her hand along the fabrics with an expression similar to a child in a good toy shop. Keegan picked out a secondhand pair of boots and a few T-shirts. Jez didn't need new shoes like her friends but saw an aviator jacket that she immediately decided she wanted. Keegan's eyebrows rose slightly when he saw the price tag.
"You didn't get me a birthday present," reminded Jez, feeling that slight emotional blackmail was needed.
"True," agreed Keegan, relenting. "It's not grey or black, there's a welcome change." Jez stuck her tongue out at him as she hugged her jacket to her chest, waiting for the rest to choose their clothes.

When Matt came out of the house, Pam turned to see him. She was concentrating too hard to to say anything, so she just smiled. She was a little shocked when he came over to her. But she kept her cool, and continued on her hands. After talking to her, she just nodded in agreement. But in doing so, she lost her balance, and fell onto her back, only just missing Tessa. She stood up as if nothing happened, took one of the twins' hands, and followed Des.


As they arrived at the shop, Pam's excitement grew. She wasn't a major fan of shopping, like Des was, but she did love to roam through the store. She walked over to the shoes, and glanced through the pairs. After a few minutes, her eyes landed on a really awesome pair. She quickly grabbed them, and walked over to Jez and Keegan. As she arrived, she heard the words 'birthday present', and remembered something.
"Speaking of which," She said to gain their attention. She kicked off one of her shoes, and lifted up her pants leg to reveal some very cool socks. On them were slightly faded dragons. "Remember these Jez?" She asked excitedly.

In the store, Matt's first order of business was to find new shoes, preferably some Converse. He looked through the shoes and found some Iron Maiden-themed Converse. Ahh, classic British Metal, he thought to himself. And look at that, just his size as well!

He then went off to look through the shirts. He reckoned there ought to be something worth buying over there. He was disheartened as he saw nothing worth spending his money on. He found about 4 different Beatles shirts, 5 Rolling Stones shirts, and, for some strange reason, he even found a Billy Idol t-shirt amongst the clothing items. As he was looking through them, his only thoughts were, have it, have it, rubbish, have it, even greater rubbish than the previous. He then caught something strange out of the corner of his eye, lying on the ground beneath the shirts. He leaned down and picked it up. Strange, he thought. It was what looked to be an iron-on patch of a black W with a red outline, with what looked to be piercing yellow eyes worked into the letter. He turned around to show it to everyone. "Hey guys, come here. I've found something rather strange lying over here. What do you think it is?"

Again with the jealous feeling! Jordan couldn't help it as Matt non-chalently acted as though he'd dropped something and whispered to Pam, but he also couldn't help but smile as Matt told him about his antics at museums. Moving pictures would make the muggles head's explode!

Once they reached the shops, Jordan looked around at the converse with Pam and Matt until he fished out the Pair he wanted. When Jez mentioned her birthday, it reminded Jordan of his. "On the topic of birthdays, make sure you remember mine! 2nd September, I'll accept any presents!" he grinned around at them. When Matt spoke up again, Jordan was paying for his converse as well as a pairs of red and black chinos and a heap of tops with the small fortune his mother had left him. Once he'd finished paying he wandered over to where Matt was, and his eyes were immediately drawn to the t-shirt in his hands. He inhaled sharply, "No," he gasped. The black W. The piercing wolf-like eyes. It could only mean one thing.

Team Wolf.

Piling into the store with the rest of the group, Nate immediately went over to the Converse. After all, they were all he wore and his other clothes were up to par. Browsing the aisles, Nate carefully thought out what to get next. Well, I had a red pair at the beginning of last year, now I'm switching out of blue ones. Perhaps classic black? Or maybe another color... he thought, looking through the solid colors and the prints the store had to offer. None were quite appealing to Nate, though the white ones had a nice appeal to him for writing literally all over. They had plenty of shoes in his size, so he really just had to find a design he liked. As he was perusing the shelves, he quickly reminded himself what year it was. It was 2077. The next year was 2078, and if he was correct, then Paris was hosting the next Summer Olympics. Which meant that hype was already starting to grow in France and, slowly but surely, globally. That opened up the possibility for some damn cool prints on his Chucks. Lo and behold, just as the thought occurred, Nate found his nirvana: American flag Converse. He immediately grabbed the nearest boxed pair in his size and seemingly apparated to the counter (really he had just sprinted, nearly knocking over nine and three quarters racks of clothes on his way there).

Upon paying for and promptly changing his shoes, Nate walked over to where Jordan and Matt were standing, looking almost frozen. Jordan was showing fear, and not even through his Meta powers. He was just tense, and Nate knew it couldn't be good. "Guys, what is i--" Nevermind. He saw it. The W, the eyes... Nate knew. It was Team Wolf, and this was apparently a store they frequented to stock up on biker jackets... Then it hit Nate, and he calmly left the store. Calmly, that is, until he got a few yards away. Then he sprinted back to the house, running through back alleys and going out of his way just to throw off anyone who may have been watching, as if it would work. Climbing a lattice, Nate threw himself into the house through an open window and ended up in Matt's room. He slammed the window shut, locked it, drew his wand, and sat against a wall to catch his breath. Perhaps he had overreacted, but with Team Wolf did an overreaction really exist?

As soon as Nate set off, Jordan snapped out of the trance like state he was in and followed suit. Rather than calmly leaving the store he made a run for it, dashing from the store so that he was only a couple of metres behind Nate with his shopping bags slowing him down slightly. He watched Nate climb up through a window, but with all of his shopping he'd never be able to make it - not that it minded, Nate had slammed the window. So instead of using the other boy's approach; Jordan used his meta powers to increase his muscle density to grant him superhuman like strength and he literally smashed through the door.

Within seconds he had ditched his bags and was stood in the doorframe with his wand in hand waiting for the others to join him. And hoping that he and Nate had gotten it wrong. "Dude are you okay up there?" he called upstairs. He'd repair the door later.
