Dreamworks Pictures is planning to make a film based on the Tintin cartoon series, and rumors are that Steven Spielberg is considering Rupert Grint to appear in the movie. Tintin is expected to be released in 2009.

"This is a rumor that has been circulating for years, and has proven to be false on many occassions. Of course, there is always the possibility that Rupert was offered the role at one point or another, but very little is known about the film at the moment as it would seem it has just reentered the pre-production stage."

That would be good for Rupert, it would expand his acting resume and abilities. He could learn a lot from Spielberg. Slight problem with this for American's is that most American's never heard of TinTin. I know it is a European comic strip but I don't know what it is about. When released here, the promotors need to put out a backstory about the history and concept of TinTin
