In a new interview with the New York Post online, Richard Griffiths, who portrays Uncle Vernon in the Harry Potter films, has spoken about how kids react to him, as well mentioning the young lead actors. Quote:
The trouble with being a regular in the Harry Potter movies is that "you can't go anywhere without being bothered by kids," grumbles Richard Griffiths, who plays Harry's mean Uncle Vernon in one of the most popular movie franchises of all time. Fortunately, Griffiths adds, "Vernon is the most unsympathetic character, so the kids expect me to be horrible. And who am I to disoblige them? I mean, I love kids, but I couldn't eat a whole one."

Just because Richard plays a mean character, doesnt mean he is a mean person. Everyone has to remember that actors only play CHARACTERS. The reason they act is either because they like to do it or they do it because they become rich. But, it is called ACTING. I also think that it will be very interesting to see how the Harry Potter stars take on the very important and very difficult roles of the upcoming Harry Potter films. This was a very good interview....

I LOVE his sense of humour, he's brilliant.
But on the topic of the kids, I'm sure they'll rise to the challenge. Dan is improving greatly with each film, I'm really impressed by him actually, and Rupert is just naturally brilliant  .

I don't really agree with his take on the fans. I think it depends on the person. Personally I would want to see what the actors/actresses are like when their not in character. That's just me though. Sounds like a good interview.
