Article: Mugglenet has received a short report from a fan who recently visited Leavesden Studios. The report contains some new information about several scenes in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Due to plot spoilers, please highlight the following text to read it.
> I visited the set at Leavesden Studios today with my mum and dad. We saw them filming some of the scene at the MOM where Harry goes into the Pensieve and sees the trial of Crouch Jnr. and Karkaroff. After speaking to a few people it turns out all of the Dursleys and most of the Quidditch World Cup have been cut this is because it's a very long book and so consequently a long script (about 2 hours at the moment). All of the Diagon Alley set (inc. Honeydukes) has gone, possibly into storage, so didn't get to see that but the room in which the trial takes place is amazing. It isn't very big and it's round with gold medieval painted walls and a cage for Crouch Jnr. and Karkaroff in the middle. Another thing which was pretty cool to see was Dan Radcliffe hanging around off set playing his guitar!!! <

I was really looking forward to the Quidditch world cup scene. Let's hope it's not entirely cut out of the film.

This fan is slightly uninformed, since when was Honeydukes in Diagon Alley?! |

And a cage for Crouch Jr. and Karkaroff? It's a chair with chains, for goodness sake. Kloves mucks up again.

| | Guest | first post here EVER! But i am incensed that they can cut out the DURSLEYS!! You can't do that! There's 2 brilliant special effects scenes there, the exploding fireplace and Dudleys tongue! Not to mention the comedy value of it, so i really hope this is not true! You can't cut the Dursleys! S.O.D!

Apparently they can...which is annoying cos that part is my favourite of the whole book. Will they have the Ron and Harry argument do u think, or will they leave that out as well?

Im kinda glad that The World Cup was cut short. I think Quidditch is borning.
Yes, when was Honeydukes in Diagon Alley? Of course Diagon Alley scenes are not in the movie. Mrs. Weasley bought all of their school stuff. Theres no need to show it.

I don't mind about the Cup, I don't like watching or reading Quidditch and isn't really important to the plot. It's better to play it than watch it.

To go to the studios can you just walk in and have a look or something? Or do you need to have contacts? I don't have a chance of going there at the moment as I am in Australia but I was just interested, and also i'm planning a trip around the world at the end of next year and would die if you can just go and observe.

cool, i'm glad they're putting the pensieve in!! yay! as long as the world cup is in there, i dont mind if its shorter than the book. yeah and honeydukes is def. not in Diagon Alley!! (which isn't even in book 4 so)
i'm still upset about the Dursley's...honestly they could have put 1 five minute scene in! well this still looks like it will be truer to the book than POA(that was still the best film ever) so i think GOF will be the best film yet! can't wait!

Well If they cut out parts that are quite important to the movie, like the court room, then the viewers would be misinformed and would be confused.

hopefully when harry uses the pensieve he will dive his head into it rather than taking his time putting his head in because its gonna cost more time of the movie.
and to think...just wait till ootp !

And since when was Crouch Jr. caged?

Dang, I love the scene where Dudley's tongue swells and the Weasley's blow up the Dursley's fireplace.
I like reading the Quiditch games, but I don't really like how they are on the movies, so, not too disapointed about no quiditch, but I do like everything that happens at the World Cup like the lepracauns and veelas and the omniboculars and getting the water
