oooh... interesting... lol

Nabs 10-10-2006 05:34 AM

Eh? Well...I suspect it's him, but I doubt JK would actually tell someone who it is.

Ruxanda 10-10-2006 07:42 AM

Sorry... I don't buy it... It's just to easy!

dian_auror 10-10-2006 07:55 AM

What......Regulus????
And most of my friends said so...
I thought it was R. Amelia Bones......
So I'm wrong, am I?
Coz Regulus just died when Harry still was a baby.....
But, That's a good news....
Keep Rocks, Daily news!!!

Maxilocks 10-10-2006 10:50 AM

Well, I always thought it was Regulus, but I think this is just a fib, and I don't believe it, because Jo wouldn't give away something this significant so soon. Rumours will be Rumours. :shifty:

Is this translator out of her mind? Rowling confided her that thing, and she tells it to everyone! They ought to replace her rightaway with someone else, because she obviously hasnīt understood the idea of the whole thingy. Does she think Rowling hasnīt told it to any other translator? How childish! Other translators are smart enough to keep the info to theirselves, as Rowling has meant to be. It was meant to help them to avoid wrong initials in their work.

Sorry, I got a bit carried away *shrugs*

Ms Wood 10-10-2006 12:26 PM

RUMOURS!!!
actually i think she shouldnt have said anything, kind of breach of JKR trust.

dont know if im happy or sad to hear this rumour....

best deatheater 10-10-2006 12:43 PM

even tho this is a rumour i always said it was regulus and never thought it could be anyone else, and i agree with above, not only is that person if its true might be prosecuted but they kinda spoiled it for some people who take this with a fistful of salt rather than people who take it with a pinch of salt. lol, they didnt need to say even though we can consider this to be a rumour

carola9146 10-10-2006 12:45 PM

I guess they didn't have to sign a wavier not to give up info regarding the book.

I guess if JKR didn't require one that she wasn't too concerned with RAB identy getting out.

I think book 7 has bigger secerts waiting for us!

I can't see Jo being happy that this translator has revealed this to the public. If I were Jo I would sue. The woman over stepped her job and I would not be surprised that her contract to do the translation doesn't have some sort of clause that hold her to silence about all things Jo says or what is written about HP. The lady is stupid and I wouldn't blame Jo or the publishers for suing her for breach of contract. I am upset because this lady has stole from all of us the joy of discovering who RAB was by read the book and this was one of many things I was excited about in book 7.

Some translators have some moral and professional pride ...

Darlinga 10-10-2006 01:46 PM

I don't think JKR would divulge the answer to maybe the most hotly debated question in HBP. I anticipate this statement being retracted in the near future.

Ms Wood 10-10-2006 01:50 PM

im still angry!!! ***grrrrr***

retracted^^^^ i dont think you can retract that!! its not slander....

im not sure how the whole retract thing work, but im sure its for slander...

half blood queen 10-10-2006 02:07 PM

I think it's Regulus, but I don't believe that JK told her who it was.

hprwhg4ever 10-10-2006 02:44 PM

WELL DUH!

I hardly believe JK told her that. Psh.

FLEUR 10-10-2006 02:50 PM

Omg really.....im really confussed

cool 10-10-2006 03:38 PM

I knew that it would be 'him' and I that would be Regulus Black.... I hope the rumour is correct

Mrs. Sirius Black 10-10-2006 03:42 PM

R.A.B. identified???

:SBFC: I do no think JO would admit to anything. It is not her nature.....

Little Trooper 10-10-2006 03:43 PM

Thats who i thought it was. It was kinda easy to figure out:)

nicola calvert 10-10-2006 04:03 PM

I don't think Jo would have said that. Ther are only two things i can think of as an explanation;

1. Jo didn't say anything and this translator id lying, and in a whole lot of trouble.

2. It is Regulus Black BUT it isn't important enough to keep it a secret, but the translator is still in a whole lot of trouble for saying this!

That is my conclusion but i don't think this is true, yes most of us think it is Regulus Black, but that all it is guesses, it isn't written down by Jo and published that it his him yet. So untill i am discarding this rumour as untrue.

jmh 10-10-2006 04:20 PM

That one was pretty much expected, but I'm still convinced we've already seen the locket at 12 Grimmauld place in the cabinet they cleaned out.

shelleyslater 10-10-2006 04:23 PM

Well, it doesn't take a genius to work out that RAB is Sirius's lil' bro!!!!!!!

I agree with Britters, as if she'd even tell anyone!!

spiker745 10-10-2006 04:38 PM

I don't like it. I don't think Jo would do that. She's too aware of what things mean to be so out of it...
