[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/knight_bus_80.jpg' align='middle'> PoA Given "PG" certificate in the UK - Summary:
The British Board of Film Classification, have said that PoA will be given a PG rating, in the UK. Article: PoA Given "PG" certificate in the UK The final version of The Prisoner of Azkaban has been finished and given a PG certificate by the British Board of Film Classification.
The film's darker storyline hasn't stopped it being given the same rating as the first two Harry Potter movies.
Unlike the book of Azkaban, which is longer than the previous two adventures, the film is actually shorter than the last two.
It's official running time is 135 minutes.
Philosopher's Stone clocked in at 152 minutes long, and Chamber of Secrets was a whopping 160 minutes long.
The film has its world premiere in New York on 23 May, and its British premiere a week later on 30 May. Fans will get their chance to check it out shortly after that.

"Mummy what is happenng?" that happend to me last year. this kid kept doing it he was like 10 so i turned around and said.
"If u dont know u should read the book so please shut up and stop spoinling my HP experence" his mam wasnt to happy but the people nxt to him were. lol Good for you.
I had a really bad experience once watching one of the new Star Wars movies, the problem was though, they were about 13 or 14, I couldn't believe it, the smaller kids in front were as good as gold. I told them to shut up too, lasted all of five minutes and then they started again! So it's not always the little kids, but your story was funny - Read the book! hahahaha.

Parents who dont read the books first are being really irresponsible and I really do think a higher rating should've been given.
I mean, if PS and PoA are PG's then the level of maturity must be the same. But it isn't. There's far scarier stuff in PoA, I've seen clips of the dementors hovering that sent chills down even my spine.

I always thought PG-13 was too much. If there were a rating b/t PG and PG-13 that would be fitting, I suppose.
As for people in a theater being a disturbance, my method is to get the manager to have the distraction escorted out of the theater. I find it effective for teens, tots and the occasional grown moron. I've done it more than once and it always solves the problem.
And you're right--it doesn't really matter what the rating is with some parents. I went to an R-rated horror movie and was cringing in my seat (actually, I may have been in my husband's seat with him by that point, hehe) when I heard the piercing scream and cries of what turned out to be a four-year-old whose mother had "really wanted to see the movie, but couldn't find a babysitter and didn't think he would be affected so badly." Idiot.
I mean, PG still isn't for everyone and yet some parents will think the movie appropriate for their small children. Heck, I don't even think most small children should be allowed in theaters for even G-rated films--they simply generally haven't been taught how to behave.

Yeah, people forget that PG stands for Parental Guidance, ie; the parent should at least check what the film is about first.
I think !"A should've been the rating in the UK. Spiderman 1 was a 12A and that really wasn't that bad, apart from the creepy voice coming from the green goblin mask. I think the wereowlf and the dementors look scarier than that. It would also give the film more credibility in the eyes of older film-goers.
