J.K. Rowling updated her official website to announce that the Wizard of the Month for October is: Harry Potter Quote: Harry Potter
(1980 - )The Boy Who Lived, only known survivor of the Avada Kedavra curse and conquerer of Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Riddle, Harry Potter joined the reshuffled Auror Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt at age 17, rising to become Head of said department in 2007.
It seems that Harry did not, in fact, return to Hogwarts to finish his final year. He started rebuilding the Ministry right away!

hmmm... Didn't he say he'd had "enough trouble for a lifetime"? Wouldn't he like some time to breathe after the big fight, instead of becoming an Auror straightaway? I also think it's not all that realistic that he should be allowed to become one without finishing his education.
Maybe JKR makes clear, he doesn't go back to school, so she won't be tempted in a few years (or whenever she feels she could do with a few million pounds more) to write book 8 | |
