I was just telling the RGFC members (hint, hint Rupert fans! Join the RGFC!) that having a movie you stared in go to The Cannes blows away all these awards he doesn't get for HP. Most of these are more popularity than anything. Why do you think PoA won less awards and GoF is winning so many? It made loads of money thus it needs to be given awards because that's what the fans want whereas PoA bombed, in the Potter franchise at least, and thus no one cares enough to keep fans happy. But back to my point... going to The Cannes is such an honor that it doesn't matter what Rupert does or doesn't get in the HP series because obviously he'll make brilliant movies that are recognized by smart people.
And I'm sure once the twins make other movies they'll get the same. | |
