Actor Matthew Lewis contributed to the fight against cancer by unveiling a new research and diagnostic imaging scanner at St James's Hospital in Leeds, his hometown. Quote:
The scanner takes images of the structures of the body and can help diagnose cancer and even show whether a lump is cancerous.
A photo of Matt with the scanner and Sir Jimmy Savile can be found in our galleries.  Quote:
I don't think there is anyone in the country that knows anyone who hasn't been affected by cancer.
"This great city is on the front line of that war."
Matt also talked about the end of the Harry Potter films with Deathly Hallows, playing Neville Longbottom, and future projects including The Sweet Shop. Quote:
"It's not sunk in yet and I don't think it will until the last film is out in July 2011. It has been great.
"I played a character I thought was brilliant to begin with and it was good to play an endearing person that people really relate to – I related to him when I read the books.
"It has been more of a challenge each year to bring a little bit more as Neville's character grows.
"He has become a reckless resistance leader with no concerns for his own safety. He wants to do the right thing."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be out November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.  | |

This touched me. When it comes to cancer patients and helping save lives by providing a state-of-the-art scanner left me speechless. Well done Mr. Lewis. I also loved Neville very much and can't wait to see his bravery spur on in Deathly Hallows ^^

Matt is a great guy. And Neville... our dear Neville... i love him he is one of the best characters in the books, it's amazing how much he changes during the years. He's very inspirational and easy to relate to. I can't wait to see Matt in DH!
Lol remember the scene in HP1 when Harry, Ron and Hermione are trying to sneak out to find the stone and Neville tries to stop them... in his teddy bear pyjamas "I...I... I'll fight you!" <3 Aww.
