David Heyman previously announced that they were down to five potential Luna's. It has now been revealed that the actress to play the part of the Ravenclaw fourth year will be annouced in January according to CBBC Newsround. Quote:
Over the past few weeks, several sites and message boards on the internet have featured teenagers saying that they are one of the final five with many of them posting photographs of themselves.
Girls who are really in the last few have been asked to keep the news secret and Warner Brothers say that as far as they are aware, none of the names or photographs of the girls genuinely in the last five have appeared on any website.

She is so lucky!!!! I wanted to try out but of course I'm in the US!!! I hope they do another spectacular job with the part!! Wait they're starting to film in Feb. so she would only find out a month before but, she probably already knows

Luna is one of my fav. Charries too. She's an anti Hermione in a way. She doesn't act like her. So I want to see how Emma and her would act together. I usually found it to be really funny. I wish I could have tried out but I'm Indian! Bah If I became blonde that would be very freaky.

I hope they cast someone really worthy to play the role because Luna's a really entertaining character, and I like her. They just need to stick with the book description on this one.

That is cool. I think the people who are in the final five are probably told not to tell anyone. I mean that would ruin the suspense and all. Still that's neat that they're coming close to deciding. I can't wait to figure out who will play her. I'm happy that they're not cutting her out either. I mean they possibly could have.

that's great that they're close to making a decision now. i can't wait to see who plays luna. i'll bet she's really good. luna will be a challenge for her cuz she's such a random character, but they wouldn't cut her out of the movies cuz she plays such a big part in the rest of the books.
