Post J.K.R. says no to HP e-books

Lawyers for J.K. Rowling state that the HP author does not want Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. nor any of the HP series, available online in book format. This is mainly due to theft concerns (Half-Blood Prince was posted online by pirates within half a day of its release), but also because Rowling prefers printed books.

Quote:
Rowling has publicly stated her partiality for writing and reading works on paper rather than on-screen. In interviews, Rowling repeatedly confirms that she wrote the entire Harry Potter series longhand, and that she prefers her readers to "experience the books on paper."

She's definitely right. You can never experience the magic on an online format the way you can on paper.

I have to agree with her. Methinks e-books are perfectly okay, but this world has gone digital enough and people are slowly forgetting books on paper – In fact, people are forgetting books in general, paper or not.

All the same, I don’t think people will stop illegally printing it online. Hmmm.

I agree. I mean, reading the books are half the magic of Harry Potter.

Thats cool. Reading it online would just take away from the whole story I think. Sounds dumb but I think it really would. Books are love, and HP deserves to be enjoyed in the physical book format. <3

That, and she can't make any money if it's online!

Jo made a good choice. 'Reading' the books by Internet isn't much fun. Reading them by book is much better!
