Tuesday July 31st not only marks the 32nd birthday of Harry Potter, but also the 47th birthday of author Joanne Kathleen Rowling!

Jo has filled our lives with magic ever since releasing the first Harry Potter novel, back in 1997. Since then she's penned the seven novels, in addition to the various companion books including Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Quidditch Through the Ages, and most recently, The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Jo continued the next step in the Harry Potter legacy: Pottermore, an online experience for fans through Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. Her first non-Harry Potter book, The Casual Vacancy, will be out in September.
