does anyone know if there is any truth in the rumour that franz ferdinand are going to write the music for the weird sisters/triwizard yule ball scene in the goblet of fire.
Another rumour I have also heard is that they will actually make a cameo apperance in the movie as the band that plays at the yule ball.
Could anyone try and see if there is any truth in this rumour as I think that if it is true then it will be very interesting to see what they come up with for the yule ball music.
Also their interpritation as to what wizarding music is supposed to sound like

No offense but i think that this forum is for news annoucements and really doesnt belong here. I think in the future that you should leave this to people who know what they are doing. I am sure that Marcella Riddle will close this down because its not relevent to this forum. For one thing it is news that is reported ages ago and if it was a proper news story, I dont really think that it is structured well. As I said I dont really think this is relevnt to here.

Yes. It is true that Franz Ferdinand have been talking about doing this role. According to Alex Kapranos (the lead singer) they are going to do it. apparently the movie company currently have 2 songs already written that they would like franz to do, and Franz are planning on making a third so they have a large selection.

haha. not just 'he'. Franz Ferdinand is a band that consists of 4 guys :p

This is really odd -- no-one should be allowed to post topics in this forum...

Like others have pointed out, yes it is true and it is in the news forum -- having been announced several weeks ago now.
