| | |  David Yates announces OotP composer
Just over a week ago Nicholas Hooper's name was mentioned in regards to the ' Order of the Phoenix' soundtrack. Apparently David Yates, the director, has now announced that Hooper will be the composer for the fifth film. Work on the soundtrack isn't due to start for months however it seems that Hooper will indeed be the new composer. His credits include The Chatterley Affair and The Girl in the Café [which was also directed by David Yates].
In related news, a new CD called Music from the Harry Potter films has been released, featuring HP scores by John Williams and Patrick Doyle performed by James Fitzpatrick and The City of Prague Philharmonic. Music from the Movie says; "It’s great to have a musical snapshot of the film series so far and all in all the selections are well chosen and well performed. As usual with re-recordings you cant help but look for differences in the performance, but the orchestra manage to pull off the swirling magic and broad emotion in both Williams’ and Doyle’s music very admirably."  | |

I'm kind of sad, i found the last one great, especially Neville's Waltz, Harry in Winter and Potter Waltz, i really like them.
I hope he uses Hedwig's theme somehow as well.

Cool, I just hope he is as good as John Williams. He rocked the soundtracks to the first three movies. I'm sure this guy will be good too. No JW thats for sure though.
