Those are all good ones...I've only read a few of them, but I've heard nothing but good things about the rest...it's nice...some people think that authors are gonna try to get people to read only things from their genre...this is a good mix...I recommend Wuthering Heights for anyone who hasn't read it...it's a little strange, but once you finish, it all makes sense...reading is fun!! :-D

Default 8 out of 10, not bad

Out of these I have read

*Wuthering Heights -- Emily Bronte
*Charlie and the Chocolate Factory -- Roald Dahl
*Robinson Crusoe -- Daniel Defoe
David Copperfield -- Charles Dickens
*Catch-22 -- Joseph Heller
*To Kill a Mockingbird -- Harper Lee
*Animal Farm -- George Orwell
The Tale of Two Bad Mice -- Beatrix Potter
*The Catcher in the Rye -- JD Salinger (I haven't read this one quite yet but i was going to start it in the next week)
*Hamlet -- William Shakespeare

Then again, reading is my escape from the real world so I have read a lot of books.

I've heard of most of them. Wow, I have so many books to read now! I loved The Little White Horse (Elizabth Goudge) A Little Princess (Frances Hogson Burnett) Vanity Fair (W.M.Thackeray) Narnia Chronicles (C.J.Lewis) Lemony Snicket's aSoUE etc. So that's what I read. But I will read the ones on the list now which I haven't read! Gives me something to do! Yipee! thank you.

I've read quite a few of those...right now my class is reading "To Kill a Mockingbird," and it's good so far. Maybe I should read some of the other ones she suggested...

I'm reading Wuthering Heights right now! Sweeeet! Heathcliff and Catherine's relationship is like when Ron went w/Lav. to make Herms. jealous.
I loved To Kill A Mockingbird! The author was from Alabama.
I liked Hamlet too.

She has good taste. And my teachers are doing their job!
As, I'm reading all these classics, I'm uncovering some things that refer to HP and now I know where Jo gets all her stuff!

I agree , there are just some books that everyone should read. I've read most of those and plan to read the rest actually. I think I'm going to like Catch 22 after I get into it

Wow! Those are in my school library, but all I do is go to the non-fiction big books. I've read more than two of my 8th grade friends together. Why don't you have:

Anne of Green Gables
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Quidditch Through the Ages
Abarat

Those are only a few of the books I've read. There's this one called The Sorcerer's Companion, and it's in my school.

Oh the books I listed are ones I own! They're pretty long(to a 4th grader i know)
