Rumors are fast flying around, that JK's 6th book will be ready to go into printing by September of this year! Article: Book 6 to be published this autumn?
Rumors are circling around that JK's 6th book will be ready by this autumn (fall). Cinescape reports: Our latest scooper claims to have an inside connection to a publishing company located in America (the name of which we will keep confidential to ensure that we know who our scooper is.) According to the scooper, a notice was sent to all book publishers that print J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels stating that "they needed to be prepared to print copies of the next HP book by no later than September 8, 2004." The source said that the title for the sixth Potter book was not mentioned in the communication, just that the deadline would be in September and that "the artwork for the covers was going over final approval from the publisher and would be sent in August."
It does seem a little early for this to be happening and no official source has come forward to deny or confirm these details. For now, treat this as rumor untill we receive solid confirmation as to whether this is true or not.

I know this is like a huge rumour but if it is released this year that would be so great!

I know and we all know that would be awesome!
But the website where that information came from even made a predicition. Last year when OoTP was released on June 21, it was a summer solcice. The next one is on September 22, so maybe it would be then

And the books really do need to step up the pace. After all, Kloves and Jk are already working on the script for OoP!

The only problem is, my family would not see my butt for dust on Christmas Day because I will be locked in my bedroom reading from dawn to dusk! |

^That's an interesting expression, but yeah, me either. Actually, I don't think I'd make it until Christmas. I'd probably have a conniption fit if I even thought there was a Harry Potter book waiting, unread, under the Christmas tree!

I think I would be one of those mad women that queues outside a bookstore at midnight, pushing my way to front and letting all the kids wait there turn! |

Having said that, it might take away the meaning of Christmas, so they'd probably release it a week before or after, so that the religious groups didn't have their feathers ruffled, at the possibility of kids being more excited about a book than the birth of Christ.

Yes, it will be released before of after, September/October would be cool, but if its after, more than likely beginning of next year, thats if the rumour is true of course.

I'd rather not get excited until they announce the actual release date. And I don't think that will happen until the movie is released--at most, until the release date of the movie is closer. You know, hype one thing then move on to the next.
I wouldn't be surprised if a while after the release of the movie, we got a book title and possibly art for a book cover. There are just soooo many things that have to be taken care of as far as publicity is concerned, you know? Auction off clues and things like that.
And as for getting a book, at the last event I pre-ordered, but when I got to the store I had to do lots of breathing exercises not to trample people to get my precious copy! It was so weird. When I went I intended to be really rational. When I got there, it was a real strenuous exercise in self control!

i dont think its true... going by the increasing size of the books, i'd imagined book 6 to take quite a long time to write

This probably isn't going to happen. I mean, it did take her what two years to write her last book? I mean, yes this would be cool... but i highly doubt it
