| | |  BAFTA to honour Mike Newell
The British Academy of Film & Television Arts is set to honour Mike Newell (director for GoF) according to Variety.
Mike will receive the 'John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Artistic Excellence' at the Britannia Awards which are to be held on November 10th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
"Mike Newell is a filmmaker of unique gifts and a man of great integrity. He makes us laugh and makes us cry and always surprises us with his visions," the Bafta/LA chairman, Gary Dartnall, said.

Thats good. I quite like Mike Newell. My favourite film by him probably has to be Four Weddings and A Funneral. He seems to want to build up the British film industry and put British films out there. I look forward to seeing if he has made a good job on GoF. |

Well since Mike is going to be coming to the LA to receive that award in Nov. 10, I do hope that Los Angeles will also have a GOF premier with actors and the directo around that date. | |
