| | | Australian GoF release date changed
The release date for ' Goblet of Fire' in Australia, has been pushed back a week. Originally, it was going to be released on November 24th 2005.
The film will now open on December the 1st according to theater chains who've updated their promotional material to reflect the change.
It has been said that the most likely reason for this change is that the new date will tie in with the Australian summer school holidays, which begin at the start of December. Warner Brothers of course wants to maximise their opening weekend box office pull.
Thanks to Harry Potter Fan Zone.

No! LOL Films take around 5/6 months to get a DVD release. It'll be on DVD in the Summer of 2006 most likely. It may be released on the 14th in the UK. PoA was released on May 31st here, which was earlier than anywhere else and those weren't preview showings but the actual release.

Well, I'm glad I'm not there. So it comes out November 18th, is the release date the same for both the US and the UK?

What? My holidays don't start on the 1st of December. They'll probably start around the 23rd. *shrugs* Me and my friends will see it opening weekend anyway. |

The person who said that has absolutley no idea. That sucks for me! I have my formal on December 1st, so all day will be getting ready for that, bummer!
Wait, I'll go early for my nails and then go see it! I'm a genious!!!

Aw man, I knew they would do this, they did the exact same thing for PoA and CoS. I am happy that they want to maximise the box office intake, because that's good for the movies, but it sucks that we have to wait longer then everyone else. Although I was able to get advanced screening tickets for PoA so I might be able to do the same thing for GoF if I start asking around now.
