The Angus & Robertson store on Pitt Street Mall, Sydney, Australia, will hold a special event to celebrate the launch of Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince. Quote:
"Things are in the works," an Angus & Robertson spokeswoman said. "It is something that is quite unique."
Quote:
"We will be opening the store at about 8am or 8.30am [on July 16] but we legally can't sell the book until 9.01am," the spokeswoman said. "But we will let people in early to line up."
As previously reported, there will be an embargo on the selling of the books until the time has reached 00:01 am BST (British Summer Time) on Saturday 16th July, 2005, in the UK. Stores in the US will still have mid-night release parties in their appropriate time-zones.

....but noooooo it's in Sydney. Everything good is in Sydney >.< Meh, but I probably won't go anyway, 'cause it'll mostly be little kids with their parents, & I'll look weird XD

cool! sounds fun! i hope they do something like that here.... indianapolis, IN. at the bookstore that i always go to, they held a harry potter and the chamber of secrets party for the dvd lauch. it was great.... that would be cool.
