Harry Latino.com is reporting that
Deathly Hallows was registered with the U.K. Patent Office on Dec. 5, along with
Deadly Veil and
Heart of Ravenclaw. It is possible that these are the other two alternative titles J.K. Rowling was considering for Book 7.
Just as a side note, the patent site also lists the titles of
Harry Potter and the Hallows of Hogwarts and
Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Hallows which were submitted back in July of 2003 (both these titles were withdrawn, however).
Also of note, the Dutch title for Book 7 is
Harry Potter en het Fatale Heiligdom, which means
Harry Potter and the Deadly Shrine/Sanctuary.
So what does all this mean? Could the veil or the Ravenclaw Common Room be horcrux hiding places? Is there a deathly shrine somewhere in Hogwarts castle? Let the speculations and theories begin …
