Yep! as some of you said..She just told us the future of Neville , I mean he is working as a professor but we didn't know what about the others and Luna, she didn't say any thing about her..That what annoyed me really.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Nikolaus Callaghan First Year | Toothpick Disappearer * Likes her 'figgies' * Mmm... Bagels! I felt really that it wasn't needed. Unless there is a true reason she put it in there I think the book would of been fine without it.
To me it seemed to fan-fictionish if that makes any sense. It seems like something she didn't write but instead something I would see someone else writing. It was adorable, but not needed.
I think it would of been fine ending in hogwarts. |

Even though it may have seemed cheesy or corny to some people, it left me feeling really really happy and satisfied with the end of the book. I thought that after all the sadness, anger, suspense and action that happened throughout the book, I think that the epilogue was the perfect way for JK to end the series.
Also I believe that even though there is a sense of closure, there is still an open ending with the new generation of kids entering the wizarding world. Perfect in my eyes.

She could have just wrote, "And they all lived happily ever after" and be done with it. Too perfect, I say! and, Albus Severus Potter? uggh. No thanks.....I didn't really like the Epilouge. At all. I liked the rest of the book though....

She basically did with saying that his scar hadn't hurt for 19 years. All is well. But I don't know, to me, I felt it needed to be perfect.

I thought it was a bit too much. I mean, it was cool to know what happened to the characters... but there was nothing there we weren't expecting. Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione. The only thing I really felt touchy about was Albus Severus's name. Specially the Severus part.
Didn't you think they still sounded like their teenager-selves when they spoke? Specially Ron?

i loved it, but then again, i felt as if i could have written it, way to predictable. and as hard as i tried i couldn't picture harry being the "father" type...maybe it was just me. I loved it when one of the kids where like, "what are they staring at?" and ron said, "It's me, I'm incredable famouse" or something like that. lol. i felt actually that way about the entire book (well not about the hallows part cuz nobody knew what they were) but with the seventh horcrux being harry, voldy dies, good wins, lots of people die for the greater good, blah blah blah. but all in all i loved it, and i'm on my way re-reading it.

I almost think I would have been more satisfied with the book if the "19 Years After" hadn't been added. I don't know why, but it just seemed out-of-place and too much of a leap. I would have preferred them talking about Harry's life, rather than a "omgz we all had babies and got married to the girls we've liked since we were at school... because that always works out."

| Snape is my man! I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. The Epilogue was kinda the fear that I had. That it would end with "and they lived happily ever after." It was kinda cheesy and too perfect and predictable. It was also too short. It should have included more info on the other characters and places like George, The Weasley's, Luna, Hogwarts, The Order members, Death Eaters, The Ministry, and The Trio and Ginny's careers. I did like the part where Harry is talking to his son, Albus Severus. "He was probably the bravest man I ever knew." That was very cute, made me cry. And I love how Draco Malfoy was included and how he gave them a curtly nod. Scorpius...lol! Cute! And Hermione and Ron's relationship was still lovingly funny. I think it should have just ended with: The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. The, All was well part was just too.....blah. |

I have to say that I was half happy and half disappointed with the Epilogue. I thought it was great that Ron and Hermione got married, and that Harry and Ginny got married... but I didn't like the fact that they named their kids after his parents. I mean, middle names would have been understandable, but to think that Jame and Lily were once married, and now they're brother and sister... kind of weird to me. And also, Albus Potter sounds a bit weird too. But still... I liked it!

To me, the epilogue would have been alright (even all sickly and sugary as it is) if only it had been written differently. I always imagined a sort of narrative account of what everyone did and became - rather than an actual scene. The Epilogue opened more doors than it closed, and it was supposed to tie things up into a nice big knot.

It is all about honour. Harry honouring his parents and also honouring two of the people that had the greatest impact on his life.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Callisto Maven | I thought it was cute--it was just kind of confusing with all the kids named after other people. Like, when they said "James" a picture of the original James kept popping in my head, and et cetera.
I loved how Teddy was snogging Victoire. Ron's humor was funny as well.

Jo had said that the original Epilogue would be more detailed in the charcaters and their names..etc but she chose to write it that way..I actually preferred if she did it more detailed..

I think the epilogue was not needed. My guess was that the main purpose for it was to show that Harry and Ginny did indeed get together, as well as Ron and Hermoine. Also, to show that Draco turned out to be a good guy after all. I think they could've just had something about that at the end of the book, rather than go on to talk about how things were 19 years later. I think the epilogue was just "too perfect".

Hogwarts RPG Name: Amelia Genevieve Laurent | I liked the Epilogue! I totally didn't expect it! Everything was nicely put and it was good to see that they were still mostly their usual selves.
It also think it was cool that when everyone was looking at Harry, his son was blissfully unaware why, you know. I think that was cool....I felt happy for Harry
Although I DO think their childrens' names could have been more creative. I was totally not buying 'Albus Severus Potter'

| It would be great if she get it like Christmas and all the Weasleys and Neville and Luna are united...It would be great to know what become of others...
I hope He gave his elder son name like James Sirius Potter..
In the memory of the people he loved...
But it was good

I really liked the 19 years later. I was really cute. I liked how Ron and Hermione were still a little bickering still. And I really liked the whole Draco Malfoy thing. Also the whole Albus Severus thing. That really just finished the book for me. It made me want to cry. It showed us really how Harry felt about Snape. All in all i liked it!!!!

i didn't like it. They have kids and they are happy and that's all? And what about the other characters? What happened to Luna? How's George after Fred's death? What about the DA? Did Neville gor married? I liked the 'Albus-Severus' thing but i didn't like the way Harry liked that kid most. I'm glad it had a happy-ending though, i would cry for years if Harry remained dead.

I think that she should of somehow had the other characters in there too, though i really liked it the way it was. But where does it say that Harry liked Albus the best? I dont remember that part.

I really enjoyed having the epilogue. It wasn't necessarily JKR's style of writing to a tee, but I liked having the final part of the story the way that she imagined it. I think I would have been a bit upset without an afterthought. I don't believe Harry liked any of his children more than the other ones. He honored the people that meant the most in his life and Albus Severus...words can not express.
