He commented as he struggled to lift another toilet and carried it down from the truck. Model catwalk? Logan? He scoffed and walked past them again. No need to say anything more, all the talking wasn't going to finish their task any quicker anyway.
Charles raised an eyebrow at Logan. He wanted to help him? What was his attention partnering up with him? Hmm. Did he care enough to let him? Nope. He simply shrugged and pointed over at the new toilet to unload from the truck. "Help me carry that." He didn't wait for his answer and went straight to work. He wasn't going to stand idly by and do nothing. Even striking a conversation with the man or anyone for that matter wasn't on his top list to do today.
He gave Kai a smirk. "Not bad yourself,Fern. There are plenty more. I'm sure you can do it." Let's see how she fair. As much as he didn't like seeing women carrying heavy objects around, he couldn't help but see how her muscles work. Shh..don't tell her that, Charles.

Soon...their task was almost over. They were instructed to test the system but Charles was a little reluctant about it. Did he really want to flush himself in that? He had splinched himself before and it bloody hurt. He prayed to the heavens above he wouldn't lose an arm or leg over this. Sighing, he got ready in front of the toilet he was assigned to.
"Ready..."he muttered and shrugged. |

Logan heaved, hauled, lifted and sweated as he helped Charles carry toilets from the truck and too truck in what felt like a never ending trail. At least they weren't the centre attraction for the passing London travellers. But what irked him the most aside from getting sweaty and hot as he carried toilets was that all attempts to strike up a conversation with Charles failed. The man stubbornly remained silent except for the occasional grumpy response. He was more anti-social than Logan's uncle Jasper. It made no sense. And not being able to figure out why was occupying his mind. He wanted a clear and simple reason or answer and a way to tackle it.

Logan was nowhere on that front when the last toilet was carried from the truck and they watched the truck driver drive away. Wiping away sweat from his forehead Logan carried out Aron's new instructions. When he headed into his assigned toilet stall between Kai and Charles he wondered if it was all right to splash his face with water from the sink. Thinking better off it Logan called out as he stepped up to place his hand on the toilet knob. "I'm ready.." Could they just flush into the ministry already so he could go drink something cold?

Having been standing back and waiting for everyone else to figure out if the toilets were working or not, she was VERY surprised to hear her name pop up in the long list of people to participate. Not to mention her actual full name. "It's Mary," she muttered on autopilot, eyeing the toilet she was supposed to... test. People used these for transportation? Whyyy? It wasn't even remotely funny.

Not solo, she was a tough surfer chick despite being a nerd, but she still was far from the strongest person there. She didn't have muscles like Bossman or Logan.

Did Lynley stammer? Kai wondered why but dismissed it....it wasn't really important. She told the woman that she could call her something shorter than her full name and it was almost odd being called by her first name honestly. She was so used to her last name when she was at work that she almost second guessed that it was her Lynley was speaking to.
It took an awful lot to get the heap of porcelain out of the truck with this woman....longer than it took on her own. Perhaps she shouldn't have paired up.....Oh well, it was what it was. Task complete.....and she had plenty of slow motion heaving time to watch Logan and Charles move things together.....that tension was so thick that you could've cut it with a knife.......
Once they finally managed to get the flush portal to its place....she was patted on the back? Hmm....alright. "You are welcome Miss Lynley." She smiled with her typical carefree ease and then gathered herself to continue orders.

And they had assigned loos? That was the second time her full first name was used today, a bit to her surprise. So........she was between Logan and Megan.......considering she had heard the hot stuff comment earlier , after she had been chatting with him herself.........this was sort of an awkward position. Oh well, best not to think about it. It was more awkward to be giving yourself the swirly of a lifetime right? Having been partly muggle raised and having gone to public muggle school as a young child....everyone standing in the toilets was disturbing in its own right. Ultimate swirly, here we come?
She stepped into her assigned self flusher and got herself ready.....at three who knew what would happen? They were supposed to end up in the ministry but would there be an accident or catastrophe? She had never splinched before and hopefully she wouldn't today either. Regardless, she was ready to tackle this.
"Ready Sir." Lets do this thing!

How cute.
"Is everyone ready?!" she called out, not caring if they were ready or not, because she had been standing in this bloody toilet LONG ENOUGH. It was time to flush in! "On my count....after three I will say FLUSH--and that is when you will flush---do you UNDERSTAND?" Was she a drill sergeant or a Department head?
"On FLUSH---1.....2.....3-----FLUSH!" and Lynley pushed down the flusher thing and she was SWIRLING off--TO the fireplaces! OOC: Next stop: FIREPLACES! Post your charrie coming out over there! <3 | |

She worked for the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes...and while her particular profession was not one that required working with unidentified fluids it wasn't like the department screamed sanitary.
Even if, in this case, things were completely sanitary.
"Guess we are about to find out," he winked.
On Lynley's cue, Aron proceeded to give his toilet a flush and awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay he went.

So nobody had expected any problems and yet Rusty had found himself dealing with a blathering idiot going on about a conspiracy theory involving suspicious individuals and toilets being used to smuggle mysterious brain control devices. Muggles were so fun.
He'd seen to it that the poor bloke would go home for a nice pot of tea and forget all about his conspiracy worries (and stop wrapping his head in tinfoil, he seemed like the sort) and just... go on being an oblivious muggle.
Heh. Oblivious.
At any rate, by the time Rusty was heading back, it was apparently time to test the toilets and go back to the Ministry. He flushed himself without any particular qualms.
.... and thought longingly of bacon sandwiches.

Megan was waiting for her boss to give the go ahead but it was actually Transportation's one that did so. She threw one uncertain look at the toilet she was standing in. Was this really going to work? Call her uncertain though of course she did know of the toilets use over the previous year.
On the countdown's end, she gave hers a flush and so that sound of toilet flushing joined the others. Hopefully they all would be coming out safely at the fireplace. Especially Logan. She wouldn't want that fine looking guy to be hurt in anyway. | |

Her wives were never to know about this. Ever.
Though, having been waiting for Aron's orders, she was rushed into setting up for the flush due to whatshername's loud and clear countdown. Her expression was of pure disgust, even if the lack of water made it only 2% okay. Squeezing her eyes shut, she hesitated before flushing the toilet at the count of three.

Flushing into the ministry through a toilet was a very strange way to enter the ministry. It was not a way that Logan would use with any frequency unless of course the other means of entering were closed off for some reason or other.
Hearing Ms Purcell count down from her booth somewhere down the line he held his hand over the flush button. When he heard 'FLUSH!' Logan flushed the toilet and away he went praying that he wouldn't come out on the other side smelling like a better sewage system.

Zhenya wiped her forehead on the sleeve of her top, glad she hadn't worn something too special. Following orders from her boss, Zhenya slipped into the cubicle between Rusty and Micky. Woo now they got to test the dunnys. Hopefully she didn't get stuck, a fear that always niggled in the back of her mind, even though it was impossible. It was impossible right?

Alright, time to test these bad boys and see what happened. Either she'd end up in the ministry...possibly in refuse and waste....or possibly splinched or something. It was still a form of adventure she told herself and honestly she signed on for accidents and catastrophes. Whatever she got, she had in a sense asked for it. Okay, Miss Lynley was going to count down to flushage. As she started counting, Kai amused herself by singing. "We're going down, down in an earlier round, and Sugar we're going down swinging." The flush command was given and she pushed the lever, feeling herself suctioned away to hopefully where she was supposed to go. | |
