Okie Dokie. So, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Nicolle *waves* Evolette is my new RP charrie, so I figured, what better way to get inside her mind, than to give her a diary. Hmm? I can't think of anything.

So, without further ado, enjoy the workings of her mind!

-Entry One-

Mother thinks that I have gone insane. Why, do you ask? I have no idea. She's not one to talk about her feelings, she believes that women of good up bringing should never speak of what they feel. So, I will admit, I was a bit suspicious when she found me today.

I was sitting in the garden when she came out, her long blond hair blowing softly around her face as she hurried to my side. I knew she was going out, yet again, to another of her "ladies lunches" and don't even let me start on the color of her hair, or I will rant on and on about how I am the black sheep of the family, being the only one without blond hair. Merg.

Anyway, to make a long story short, she gave me this, the diary I am writing in now. I believe her exact words were "Use it because you are driving us all insane."

Hmpf.

Well, I admit, I have been a little....moody since we returned from vacation, but I have good reason to be. Even though I would never admit it to anyone. My heart is broken, and it is going to take a bit to mend.

I like to pretend that I am unbreakable, that nothing rubs me the wrong way, and that no matter what happens, I will always be Evolette. I will always be strong.

I am sure you are wondering what exactly happened to me this summer, but I won't tell you. That, my new friend, the annoying but cute little pink book that you are, is a story for another day.

-Entry Fourteen-

Truth or Dare used to be my FAVORITE game. I loved coming up with terrible dares for Miles and Hugo to fulfill. It was like I was the queen, and they were my court jesters.

Of course they made me do a lot of icky things too. Once Hugo made me eat a bug. Well, actually, he dared me to, and when I said no, he sat on me and Miles put the bug in my mouth. So I kicked them both.

That was no doubt the worst dare I have ever done, even if I didn't really do it on my own.

Anyway, I was out for revenge. So I dared Hugo to lick my brother's face when he was asleep, which caused him to wake up and chase Hugo through the room.

Then, for my dear Miles, I made him wear my mother's precious jewels and walk out in the middle of her tea party. Which earned him a swat on the bottom and a lecture. At which Hugo and I giggled.

Needless to say, after that Hugo and Miles wanted revenge. But I accidentally punched Hugo's arm, so he decided to give up his turn. Bwaha.

But Miles, the little monster, dared Hugo to kiss me.

SHOCK. HORROR. GASP!

Okay so, I will admit I had been wondering what it would be like to kiss Hugo. Because I was very curious about boys then, and Hugo, being my bestie was the closest boy I had.

But, EW.

Part of my mind was like "Yay! Boy" and the other part was like "Ew! Hugo!" Hugo, poor boy, just stood there looking at me like... what should I do?

"Er- I'm up for it if you are." he mumbled, running his fingers thorough his hair. I really didn't want to, but... I was curious, so I shrugged.

Miles giggled as we both walked closer to each other, my arms crossed over my chest and Hugo's face beat red. "On the count of three." Miles said, still giggling. I made a mental note to punch him later.

One....

Two.........

THREE!

I squeezed my eyes shut tightly and Hugo pressed his lips against mine. It was weird. REALLY REALLY weird to kiss my best friend. But at least I knew what it felt like to kiss him.

Of course, right after, we both pulled away, Hugo said Ewww! and danced around like a little girl while wiping his face, and I punched his arm. Then, everything was back to normal.

I don't think I would ever kiss him again though. Hugo is the single most beautiful person in my point of view and I will never not have feelings for him, but I do not harbor romantic feelings for him, at least, I don't think I do.

Besides Terry is a better kisser than Hugo

Entry Fifteen

I never thought that this would ever happen. Never in a million years did I think that the cemented relationship that I have always counted on, would fall apart, especially so explosivley.

I'm sure by now you understand my feelings for Hugo. I love him more than anything in the world. He is the other half of my heart, my best friend forever and out.

We've never had to share eachother before. We've lived in our own little world together, where it was King Hugie and Queen Lettie, together we were invincible. Hogwarts has been the worst thing to happen to us. We can't be together all of the time like we are so used to.

Hugo's got girls throwing themselves at him all of the time, and I've been busy with Cale and Terry, we've sort of drifted apart.

But, I thought we could fix it. Until yesterday.

It started as just another fight, he got angry with me when I tried to fix his hair. Which, even for Hugo is just childish. All I was trying to do was help him.

All of the sudden word were being thrown here and threats were being tossed there and I heard myself say the one thing I never thought I would ever say. "I don't think I want to be his best friend anymore."

I don't know what I was thinking. I was upset, confused and hurt. Hugo kept going on and on about how I have Terry and I dont need him, but when I tried to explain myself he wouldnt have it, he just threw more hurtful words at me.

I didn't mean it.

At least, I didn't think so at first. But then, when I really thought about it, I deserve someone who understands where I am coming from. Not someone who is keeping me back from the person that I love because he doesnt want to lose me.

Has he ever thought that I don't want to lose Terry?

I love Terry. Maybe even more than I love Hugo, at least in a different way than I love Hugo.

Terry and I have already had our share of problems, and I know he won't ever admit it, but he needs to know that I am here with him, and him only. I'm not in love with Hugo, I'm not going to leave him for Hugo. I am here for however long he wants me, and I hope that that will be for a very long time.

Of course, while I am trying to get this message to Terry, I am lacking in the Hugo area. He knows that I love him, but I need to show him more than I have been lately.

At the same time, shouldnt he be happy for me? For Terry? That we have eachother? Terry makes me insanely happy. Hugo knows. He saw how I was when I wasn't with Terry. He didn't know that that was why, but it is obvious now.

I guess we have grown apart, and broken beyond repair. I left him, completely walked away for the first time ever. It's not the same as what I did to Terry, and I dont know if it will ever be fixed.

I hope that he is okay. I hope that he can find someone who is worthy of being his best friend, because it looks like I am just not good enough anymore.

You had talked about this yesterday in the TP, but now I get to see even more of what happened. I don't know that I blame Evolette for being upset. It seemed like everything just went out of control, and now she lost a part of her that's been there forever.

Another example of how she's occasionally human.

-Entry Sixteen-

Today is my birthday. My first ever without Hugo by my side.

I can't even begin to tell you how odd it was to wake up this morning not to see Hugo waiting with a plate of hot and ready blueberry muffins. ~~Even if we are at Hogwarts now and he would not be able to get into my dorm.~~

It's almost as if today wasn't my birthday afterall, because it just felt like any old normal day.

The fact that it was my sixteenth, made it all the worse. Hugo and I always planned on having huge, over the top, blow outs for our sixteen, and obviously that is not happening for mine.

Hopefully by the time Hugo turns 16, we will have made amends. Hopefully.

I know I sound very mopey and whiny, and you are probably rolling your eyes at me, but I don't know what I am going to do without my Hugie. The best friend I've ever had.

So, here I sit, in my bed, under the blankets while everyone has gone off for the day, contemplating whether or not I will actually leave this spot at all. Although I do need to make a visit to the owlery to wish my sister a happy birthday. I'm just hoping not to bump into any friends on the way.

Happy Birthday to me. Not so sweet sixteen.

-Entry Seventeen-

Ah, gotta love birthdays. Even if your best friend is being a total jerk and you don't know how you are going to carry on without him, you still get some pretty awesome presents.

The day of my birthday, I received a letter from my Mother, she has decided that she is not going to send any of my presents to me, instead, she will keep them at home, and I can have them on Christmas break. Which is, of course, her way of ensuring that I spend the holidays at home, and not at Hogwarts.

All due to my excessive love for material possessions.

So, my first present came from my wonderful, adorable, gorgeous, perfect in every way but not as perfect as me, boyfriend.

Prada, am I glad to have him. Especially now when there's a huge Hugoless void in my heart.

He's so adorable. He got these matching necklaces, mine's gold with rubies, and his is silver with emeralds. Supposedly they are some sort of love tokens, he mentioned something about reminding us of who we belong with. Which in all honesty, I think is quite perfect for us.

Not that I've been off flirting with an excessive amount of boys or anything, but, we're both so set in our ways that sometimes we need a little reminder.

My next gift was from Nicholai. After talking or, "cavorting" with Terry, as Nico decided, I went into the Great Hall to find something warm to bring my temperature back up before I froze to death. That's when I found Nico at the Slytherin table. He was sitting with that Mari girl, the one who had been flirting with Cale back when we were pretending to be together.

Anyway, his present was a bottle of very obviously expensive bottle of perfume, which I must admit, suits me perfectly.

Then things got interesting, as they always do when Nico is involved, we went for a walk when all of the sudden, four second years came flying down the stairs on cushions. They all crashed into the wall, and they were all hurt. Go figure. So, Nico and I helped them to the hospital, where we all ended up in detention.

I, Evolette McKenna, got detention. In my first term. For something that I didn't even do! How unjust.

But, I will not dwell on this black mark of my soul and record. I have better things to talk about.

Ah, yes. Hugo and I are back together!

It all started in the common room. I was taking a rest, I had actually been avoiding that because I didn't want to accidentally run into him. Which I did.

It was truly awkward. Never before in my entire life have I not known what to do with myself in his presence. But this time I was so nervous.

He said that he wanted to give me my birthday presents, which he had purchased before our fight and was no good to him now. He got me a ring, beautiful with diamonds and silver, completely gorgeous, and an adorable kitten, which I still have not named because I cant think of anything fitting.

We somehow got to talking and he told me that he could not share me with Terry. Share. Like I was a chocolate chip cookie that he had to break in half and share with his best friend!

Which I told him was stupid. He's got it in his head that someday someone told him that he had to take care of me forever, he and no one else. As if I were his little breakable Lettie and no one else could touch me.

After a spot on, and slightly rude impression of him, he walked away. He left. I was fully prepared to let him go for good. It hurt like crazy, but I knew that if he walked, I would never welcome him back into my heart.

Who needs Hugo Jermaine Woods? ~~I do.~~

I crumbled on the inside, but on the outside I was frozen, intent on not letting him see me cry any more, and I let him go.

But then, all of the sudden, the ground was removed from under my feet. I almost thought that for a moment I was passed out or something. I could feel his arms around me tightly, clinging on as if for dear life.

It was Hugo. He had come back, and this time, he is never going to leave.
