The TerrorTours Service Desk is where you head to arrange payment for the holiday you book. While there is no cash register there is a safe in the back office where all funds are kept. This area is simply a desk with an in and out tray which is charmed to move things on its own, a ledger where the shopkeeper records details of the bookings. There are various other bits of stationary, inkwells, quills, and magical post it notes strewn about here and there.
Behind the desk there is a massive world map with different coloured push pins marking the various locations available for visit. There are also a wide variety pictures on hand to take a closer look at. There is an extravagant and extremely comfortable chair behind the desk which is where you can usually find the shopkeeper, and two chairs arranged in front of the desk for clients. A short distance away there is a rather comfy little waiting area for customers to use while they are waiting to be helped, or if they simply want to sit down and flip through a brochure. Please be sure to wait your turn and try not to shout and such while sitting about, please.
Ooc: please don't chat in this thread. Post here if you need to interract with the shopkeeper and purchase a holiday pack. If you want to chat and RP for fun with your friends, you can do that at the Brochure Display or in the Seating Area, or return to the North end of the street. | |

Really, he wasn't entirely sure if this was the best idea or if he should even be considering it. But as soon as he stepped through the door, he knew there was no backing out. For whatever reason, it was just something he had to do. Period. He could think on the ramifications and implications later.
With a tug to his sleeve and hesitancy in his step, he made his way over to the service desk, eyes ghosting over the surface as if he expected to see one of those little metal chime bells waiting use. Not really much of a need given the personnel sitting behind the desk looking rather....bored or perplexed, he couldn't very well tell.
"....Excuse me...Sir?" Crossing fingers it was bored.

"She's sort of....half and half." The best way to explain what he knew about Lexi. His eyes went up to the man again, head tilting. "Why do you ask?"

Now, people from rural areas, they enjoy the peace and quiet, see the beauty in the small things... see the wonder in a brook or a mountain... the glory in a sunset." He made it all sound so romantic... he loved himself right then.

At first, Sabel followed him, glad that no fault was being held on either account. But as he continued talking, a frown began working its way onto his expression with each step. Only when he watched the man plop down in one of his seats did he realize what had the lack of comfort twisting in his gut. And it drew him to a dead halt.
That smirk and those words just didn't fit well together, in any situation. "I...appreciate the offer, Sir." Stiff with tension and anticipation, he took a step back away from the couches. "But I really need time to think on all this....wonderful information you have given me." And that would be the last exchange of information this man was getting. The very last.

WHAT. An odd kid. Coeus looked rather confused and HURT. "I simply meant for you to tell me more about her so I could gauge whether this was the right trip for her... and I meant that you should tell me how much you love her... I love love... I would be willing to be generous with a discount if you were to admit to yourself that you really do love the lady for whom you wish to make the arrangements for..." he said in a sad little voice.
Okay maybe he was putting on a bit of a show with the pouting and the little voice, but really... that WAS all he had meant. Pushing himself up from the seat he turned his perfect Greek nose up at the manchild and walked back to the other side of his desk and sat on his swivel chair with his back turned to the manchild. MEAN manchild. WEIRD too.

And then it came to that. That oh so touchy topic that had his brow knitting in all sorts of funny ways. Funny ways that told the man he was way off his rocker and way out of line. In truth, it had him a bit ruffled; confessions for discounts and stories to strangers that just seemed to want to know too much. The only thing that kept him from saying so, from walking out right then and there was the seeming honest expression that the man had. And the truthful hurt his posture displayed.
Letting out a heavy gust of air and threading his hands back through his hair, he frowned over at the sulking man. "I had a crush on her, the first year I knew her. My love for her now is as much as I would love a sister."
Dropping his hands he made his way back to the service desk and picked up the brochure. "Even if I was in love with her, I would not admit it for the sake of a discount. She's worth every penny. The whole expense. Love. Friendship. Or otherwise. And that's the truth." Waggling the brochure for a moment, he considered the man before giving him a small salute with the pamphlet. "Thanks for your help."

Co wasn't buying it. He just wasn't and that "even if I was in love with her" bit pretty much sealed the deal for him. The kid loved her. He could tell. "I would be willing to give you a discount anyway. Because the sentiment is so... heartwarming," he said with his back still turned to the manchild.
Taking a deep breath he swiveled back around and eyed the manperson. Discount... girl he loved's vacation after school... this was a one time deal. | |
