Restaurant Across the Street Across the street from the entrances to the Ministry of Magic is a restaurant open from noon to 10 P.M. If your character is on break from their work within the Ministry, he or she may want to take some time to step into the restaurant and enjoy the wide selections available on the lunch menu. You're in muggle London, which means you're not just amongst the magical anymore! OOC: All Ministry of Magic employees, regardless of their assigned department, are welcome to create their own roleplay in this thread. This location is found in Muggle London, so remember to have your magical character act accordingly. |
Walking into the resturant, Nikos shook himself dry. It was a cold rainy day, and for some odd reason it reminded him of home. Running his fingers through his hair to rid it of water he walked to a empty table near the back, far from the muggles in the building. He was getting used to living with muggles, though still was very tempted to cast a silent drying charm. Picking up a menu he leaned back into his chair and waited for his roommate to arrive. He had been so busy with work that he hadn't spent anytime with her, but when he had lunch free today he quickly sent up his patronus telling her to meet him here. Hopefully she was able to meet him as well. |
Katherine walked into the muggle restaurant, dry as she could be. A little magic never hurt anyone and luckily no one would notice if she did a little acting. " UUUuuf, what a weather!" she told the man by the door, shaking her hair, like she was trying to get the water out. She searched the restaurant with her eyes and found Nikos at the back, she walked to him, her new shoes making funny noises. She had to stop spending money on shoes. Muggle shoes. She arrived by him and gave him a warm smile " Hello you! I bet that if I didn't live with you I would see you more often..." she teased as she sat on the chair across from him. She eyed the menu with interest " anything good there?" she asked, picking her own menu up. |
Hearing a familiar voice, he looked up from his menu. He looked at her shoes as she walked over, he would never know how women walked in those things without falling over. Smiling up at her, he lowered his menu. "I'd take that bet...nice shoes." As the conversation turned back to the food he looked back at his menu. "Well, I was just about to oder some coffee and fish stew. What would you like?" |
She shrug her shoulders at him " I have an addiction, I just can't stop buying shoes..." she crossed her legs under the table. " Hm... fish stew sounds nice, but I think I'll have an orange juice with that " she decided, closing the menu and folding her arms. "So what's new? How's the job going, it's such a shame our schedules don't always match, I would love to have some roommate time with you but we never seem to be home at the same time!" she complained, pouting. |
"Well that explains why I never see you in the same pair." He jokes before turning to the waited and placing both of thier orders. Then he turned back to Katherine while the waiter went for their drinks. "I know, we've been really busy on the forth floor with all these creatures getting loose in the ministry. None haven't got loose on your floor have they?" He looked at her hoping the anwser was no cause he would hate to cut thier lunch short. "I wish our schedule matched as well, maybe I'll stop by your office whenever I get some freetime. " |
Katherine watched him placing their order and then looking back at her. She smiled, her earrings swinging in her ears and her bracelets making funny sounds. "Loose animals?" she was a little taken back by that, she had no idea that was happening " no, no loose on my floor, not that I know though.." she had to get out of the office more " That's madness, I mean, all I do is paperwork and watch my two bosses bickering over girls. Did you know that on my first day they spill coffee and water all over each other? It was hilarious..." she said with a short laugh. |
Nikos was relieved to hear that no animals were loose on her floor. Looking back to the waiter who had returned with their drinks, he smiled and thanked her, taking a sip of his coffee. "It is madness, some doxies were loose in the Education department and it was hectic. One guy even tried to take one, Merlin knows why." He rolled his eyes at the statement, fingering his mug as he listened to her. His eyes narrowed slightly in amusement, "Arguing over girls? What on earth started that argument?" |

"The jury still out on that one," He joked, watching her play with the straw. He listened to the story wondering who this woman was, had to be beautiful by the way they were fighting over her. "Well come on, don't hold back...who won?" He looked at her with laughter in his eyes as a small smirk formed on his face. |
"I guess Sam did, he was the last one standing wet..." she chuckled " and the girl left shortly after their final move, so they just stood there, dripping coffee and water to the ground" she shook her head again. "Well other than that nothing much has been happening... things are really calm over there, it has nothing to do with what I was told that happened last year, magic LEGOS wandering around the corridors and stuff like that.." she watched as a waitress approached the table with their food and placed it in front of them. It smelled great and looked even better. She picked her fork and knife up and looked defiantly at Nikos. "ready?" she asked, as she was asking him if he was ready to battle. |
Wow. Antigone was definitely on a mission to get out of there very quickly. Chloe was definitely having to rock her heels to keep up with her as they made their way down the street to a Muggle restaurant. "It's okay. Drama happens. I totally understand." Chloe had been a bit of a drama queen growing up. Being a privileged little princess would do that. As they walked in the doors, Chloe automatically headed for the table furthest away from from the door as she could just incase those rude people came looking for Antigone. "Is here okay?" she asked, indicating the table as she sat down. |

Antigone listened to Chloe with a smile on her face. She sighed a tad, remembering what that felt like and all... Ahhh... to be young and in love. "THat is amazing, Chloe. Grand! I love a happy ending, indeed," she gushed. She couldn't help but feel a little stab in her heart though... Malachi was coming back... things would get interesting now for sure. Merlin... her life needed to straighten up. |

Antigone nodded, she really knew how the girl felt there. She had planned a life... but it got dashed along with her heart. But still she smiled, none of her inner turmoil showing on her face. Instead she just said, "You are too great a person to not get the happiness life has to offer you. You are young and in love and that is the greatest feeling in the world, enjoy it!" SHe took a drink from her water... She felt the need to dish to the girl... but had no clue if she could. |

Antigone raised her glass and smiled sadly. "Indeed" is all she said before drinking her water, still letting her wine breath. She never fidgeted.... but if she did she would be now. "Look, I don't have any girlfriends... Can I confide in you? I promise not to blow up on you this time," she said as her grin turned genuine. |

Antigone drew in a deep breath and said, "The reason I got so snippy with you is because you were right... but wrong as well. Ethan doesn't care. He is serial... well he is a bachelor let's say. Through and through. But there was one man in my life... One man that meant more to me than any other. Once I left Ollivander's after the start of Hogwart's term I met him... it was magical. We were instantly smitten. It turned to love very easily. It's like we were made for one another. But like most men he cheated. I think he did anyway, his friend told me he had. Well, his falcon delivered a letter for me today. He is coming back to London. To like work where we do, ya know. He says it was all lies. Will you come with me to my office after we have eaten and have a look and give me your take on it? I need another woman's opinion. THat bloody bird is still there though." That was more than anyone knew about her in this current time.. More than Antigone ever cared to share with anyone but she had to , it was killing her. |

Arching a eyebrow a small smirk crossed his face. "Legos wandering the corridors, haven't heard that story." He smiled gratefully at the waiter who had placed the food in front of them, about to dig in when he heard the challege. Not one to back down, he looked at her with utensils in hand returning her look."Ladies first." |
