Richard got to the outside of the lifts with his box of stuff in his arms. He elbowed a button on the wall to summon one of the lifts. One descended in front of him and he entered. As he turned to face the grille, it clanged shut. He felt the lift judder upwards which was odd to him as he very rarely used the lifts except for night shifts. He pressed the button on the wall for the Dept of Accidents and Catastrophes. The lift juddered to a sudden stop and the grille slide aside and he left the lift to meet the Dept of Accidents and Catastrophes.

"10 minutes left before I'll be entitled late" Edilson smirked, scratching the back of his head. Being late was one of Edi's favorite hobby bad habit. "Better not waste time standing here" He muttered and pressed the button. Tapping his feet as he waited for the lift, Edi realized that the scrumptious lunch which he had whipped for himself in the morning was left at home! "Darn it!" He said in frustration..."Trace would be all over it by now.." Edi said, gritting his teeth.

The lift arrived, Edi stepped in and pressed the button assigned for "Department Of Mysteries".. He glanced up and found at least a dozen parchment airplanes hanging in air..
"Department Of Mysteries" A female voice echoed reminding him that he was now on ninth level. Smoothing his hair, Edi checked his breath "Perfect!" He thought as he slipped his hands in his pockets and walked over to his department, reporting for duty for the first time!

Olivia got in the lift,ready to arrive on Level Eight.She was busy,busy,busy and didn't have time to let a little thing like paper aeroplane memo's flying around her head get in her way.Swatting a few of them to the side she brushed her hair out of her face and leant forward to press the relevent button.

"Level Eight: Department of Magical Maintenance & Security.Employment Office."
Sighing as the lift doors opened with a ping,she hurried off in the direction of the supply closet.

Jenkins stepped onto the lift and pressed the button for level five: International Cooperation. The lift was pretty fast, Jenkins held onto the rail and closed his eyes.

Ping! "Level Five: Department of International Cooperation."

Whew! It was over. Jenkins decided he should probably take the stairs instead on the way out.

"Jenkins are you scared of lifts?" asked Laura seriously. she was standing at the back of the lift.she remembered him from the conference room and at J.J's home. well she obviously still remembers him trying to laugh at her in a incident near the pool but she waved it off...

Calla stepped on to the lift, and pressed 8. She had only been at the Ministry a short time, and thought today was a good day to explore. As the doors closed a few inter-office memos wizzed in.

Moments later she was on level 8, she and a few memos got off the lift. She headed to the right, the memos went left.

DH emerged from the lifts looking all formal. He alighted one level from their own and looked around at the busy atrium. He had never been seen since the day of his last day with Egypt as his Head. He then headed for the offices of the level eight and proceeded to the Office of the Head of the Magical Security and Maintenance.

The young brunette man threw himself off of the lifts on level eight and ran into the Atrium in quite a hurry.

Eva walked into the lift and sighed. At least the lifts had mirrors that was a upside. It was only her birthday last week what type of present is a job ?! Pssh. She didn't wanna work, she didn't need to work, she shouldn't have to work. But her older brother was making her, it was his job to work and look after her she was the younger one. She sighed, and began twisling her head around one finger. At least she got money out of it which meant two things, More clothes and shoes. WOOT.

Charlie quickly ran into the lift, catching it right before the doors closed. He let out a deep breath. He looked next to him where a beautiful brunette woman was standing. He really loved Briony, but he couldn't deny at how beautiful this woman was. He flashed her a smile that showed all of his brilliant white teeth. He turned back to face the lift doors as they descended towards his office.

Everyone seemed so rushed around here, they were all running everywhere and rushing into lifts and whatnot. Speaking of running into lifts; here was a person running into the lift. She shot him a small smile before leaning back on the elevator wall. Mark had told her she needed to be nice to people, she certainly wasnt being nice to their new nephew cause he was just rude. But Mark was her older brother, so she was going to listen to him for once. "Uhh hi." She mummbled under her breath, glancing up at his...wow, he had a amazing smile.

Charlie was fixing his suit jacket because his sleeves had moved up slightly. He turned around when he heard a faint voice say hi. He was looking at the beautiful woman had smiled at when he entered the lift. "Hello," he said smiling again. Uhhh...what to say now. "Nice day today isn't it?" Smooth move Charlie.

Eva looked up as the rather good looking man straightened his sleeve. Everyone round here dressed soo umm what was the word ? Posh ? Nahh, sensible yush that was is. And she didn't own many posh sensible whatever clothes. So she was stuck in whatever she chose to wear which she thought were quiet fashionable. She smiled, a real smile this time because he smiled too. "To be quite honest, I dont know. I havn't been outside much today I didn't wanna wreck my new shoes." she said, with a small shrug.

Charlie gave her a quick once over. She wasn't dressed like people normally did to go to work, but she still looked fine just the same. He chuckled a little at the comment about her shoes. "You really should. It's really splendid out." I could go with you. He added to himself. Stop thinking that. You're with Briony. And you're happy. He shook the other thoughts from his mind and looked back at the woman. "I'm Charlie by the way."

Eva looked to the floor. She felt so out of place here, everyone stared at her like she was some sort of Chav, yeah she acted liek one but still no need for them to stare at her like they did. Hmph. She wasn't going to be rude and ask him if he had a staring problem like she had to that other man she'd met the other day because he was being nice to her. Then he said she should go outside."But I can't go by myself, I'll look like a loner and plus it might rain then my boots would get wrecked." She said looking back up and slightly smiling. "Kensington." she started with a nod. "Eva Kensington. she finished after a breif pause.

Charlie couldn't get the thoughts that he was having about Eva, as he had just learned. "It's a pleasure to meet you Eva. Well, it's not supposed to rain today. And if you need someone to go with you, I'd be happy too." He shot her another tooth filled grin. Don't forget about Briony.

Eva looked up at the man, whose name was Charlie as she'd just learnt. She stood up properly again. At least he wasn't a hand shaker. "Nice to meet you too Charlie. Oh thats cool, that saves me finding my brother for a ride home then." Although truthfully she had every intention of finding him for a lift home she didn't wanna walk, it would take forever. "That sounds fun, we'll have to go sometime." After ive had my lunch which I think I need to get soon ish.

Charlie smiled at her again. He was in a really good mood today for some reason. "Glad I could help." He listened to her next comment. Any time you're free I'm up for it. I love being outdoors. Especially on days like today."

Eva wasn't feeling herself today. She felt weird. Meh, it must be some side effect of not eating much yesterday. "Thanks by the way." she smiled, not really sure why she'd said thank you. "Umm well im free most the time when Im not working so its up to you really." She said, shrugging slightly. "I think this lifts broken, we've been in here forever." Thought you were having fun. I said we'd been in here for ages, I never said I didn't like it.

Charlie raised an eyebrow in confusion. "You're welcome. I think. He nodded his head as she explained. "I should be pretty free myself until the new school year begins. See, I work in Magical Education, so most of my work is done during the term." He looked to see what floor they were on. Only Level 6! Wow, it must be broken. "It must be. I've never seen them this slow before."

Eva began to twirl a strand of hair round her index finger on her left hand again like she had been doing previously before Charlie came in. Her hair was being annoying today, which was another reason she didn't go outside very often. The wind went swoosh, her hair went boosh, and that was the end of her pretty hair for the wholeeeee daay, until she found a hair brush which now she always carried in her bag luckily So nobody had to suffer. "Oooh right. Thats cool." She nodded. Kinda cool anyways. "Well atleast im not here by myself. Lets hope it doesn't completely stop working and the doors get locked shut we'll probably be in here all night."

Charlie was going to respond to Eva, when the lift suddenly stopped moving. He was waiting for the doors to open, but they never did. He banged on them, but nothing happened. "Well, this is fine and dandy. The lift just stopped moving." He leaned up against the wall and banged his head. This is just great.

Eva's eyes widend and she walked over so she was standing very close to Charlie. He had to be kidding, right ? Of course he was kidding. Awwwwww, how sweet was that ? He was putting on a whole show for her just to make her scared that was so sweet. She gripped onto his arms before looking into his eyes seeing no sign of laughter in them, "Your kidding right ?" She said loosening her grip and trying to think positive.

Charlie looked at Eva as she walked over to him. Then she asked him if he was kidding. "I would never kid about something like this. Especially when I'm supposed to be somewhere." This is so not good. I barely know this girl and now we're stuck in a lift together.
