Evaline looked at Rico speak about the invitations. "No I think your ok with the invitations." she replied to him. She didn't want him to have to re do all of them. That was pointless and worhtless. As long as they had the right info and they were decent looking they should be fine. "If the Minister doesn't want to be apart of it then thats fine. When I get to the meeting with Miss Taylor I'll figure it out and let you know." |
"Okay," he replied simpling, shrugging it off. What did a little more work matter - Rico was already married to this place as it was. Merlin. "Uh, anyways, Evaline...." Rico coughed a bit. "What was this, er, meeting about magical carpets? I think I, um, missed that....yeah....and an employee reminded me after it was over, actually....." he trailed off into a noncoherent mumble, something that included 'mmrrhmmlackofcofffetotallyforgotsonotmyfault'... |
Evaline looked at Rico and replied having completely forgotten he wasn't there for the meeting. "Oh right you didn't show. Well basically we went over the pros and cons of legalizing flying carpets. I had all of them write these down and then give me their opinion on the matter and had them choose a side." And then she added, "They have to give me their response by Monday (september 22nd) and make sure the people that weren't there are informed and send me that info as well." |
'Didn't show' was an interesting word choice that led Rico to believe that maybe it wasn't that big of a deal then? Only every employee was writing a response about this meeting he had missed? Yeah. "Sorry for my, er, absenteeism," he replied quietly, scratching the back of his head with one hand. "That's it then?" For some reason, he still felt like he was forgetting something important.... |
Evaline thought for a moment if there was anything else. "It's alright. Just don't do it again," she commented kind of sternly but she was still trying to remember if anything else needed to be done. It then came to her. "Oh yes. Anything about planning for the opening and closing ceremonies I missed during my leave of absense in the conference you had please give me in a report. Other then that. Thats it." she replied. |
Rico nodded; he could see that the boss was really distracted by this conference thing. Perhaps he should be worried too...but it was hard to feel any distress when he'd just downed about five cups of coffee. "A report about the er....decorating and ceremony stuff?" He raised one dark eyebrow. "I thought Nicholas' department was handling that...." And I already did the invitations, c'mon, gimme a break here! |
Evaline heard Rico question her request about the decorations and ceremonies and she looked at him. Oh did she frget to mention Nicholas was trasnfered. Oops. "Oh well I guess this is a good as time as any. Congratulations! You'll be switching divisions. Nicholas has been transfered to another Ministry and I'd thought you'd take his job and we'd get a new division head for your division. Well now I covered that. The report please and quickly if you don't mind." she replied with a polite smile. |
Yes.. whoever that man was, he was definitely French. “Well, thank you.” Angelina answered back with a modest smile. French people were always so polite.. and it seemed that French people were also very brief.. which was something pretty normal since everyone inside that office was working, no time to chat. Before Angelina could open her mouth and say anything, the French man had already left the room. Busy people these level five workers, eh?” she thought to herself while she moved her eyes in the direction of Miss Bass. “It’s nice to meet you as well Miss Bass. the young woman greeted with a polite smile. Angelina listened Evaline’s words, with a nod, she replied. “ That is great Miss Bass. We, myself and Miss Taylor, look forward to receiving your proposal.” And it better be a good proposal, some didn’t look very well excited about the flying carpets.. especially people that work at Quidditch shops. “I shall go back to level one, Miss Bass. I have a few other things to do.” And she was pretty much running out of time. The young woman spoke while taking a few steps back ,in the direction of the door, but she didn’t leave the office, she waited to see if Miss Bass had something to say. |
Listening to Evaline speak, Rico could tell that she was in a rush and definitely a little edgy because of the upcoming conference. Either that or she just wished to ramble on all in one breath. "Whoa wait, switching divisions?" He blinked for second, then it sunk it. "Okay sure!" Rico grinned like a kid on Christmas morning. "I have all my notes on the planning right here, actually," he added cheerfully, reaching into his pocket and drawing out a carefully folded square bit of parchment. "Er, as soon as Miss Gilmore leaves...." he mumbled on second thought, turning his infectious grin on Angelina now and giving her a little wave goodbye. |
A return memo from the Minister's Office slipped itself under the door and onto the desk of the Department Head. It read: Quote:

Emma came back from Olivander's, feeling flustered and irritated. This statue thing that the ministry needed for the conference was giving her a headache. Rico had given her so little information... Maybe her division Head could shed some light upon the problem. When the lift stopped on the fifth floor, she turned toward Miss Bass's office, hoping she could get more detailed information about the project when she got there. She came to the Head's door and knocked sharply on the aged wood. As she waited for an answer, she quickly passed a hand over her robes to straighten them out. At least she would look like employee, not some nut off the street. |
Evaline was just busy tiding up and about to go look over the decorations when she heard a knock on her door. "Come in," she answered to the call and waited for the person to step in. |

Emma cleared her voice, giving herself more countenance, "Mr Serio sent me on an project for the ministry, at Olivanders wand shop. I wonder if you would know the details pertaining to this thing he needs to have done for the conference?" She frowned, still wondering why Olivanders had been picked in the first place and why their department had been chosen for its elaboration. She readily took her notebook out, details of the statue freshly copied from the original she written before. |
Evaline watched as a young girl stepped in. She recognized her but the name wasn't clicking. When the girl came in and introduced herself, she remembered and smiled at her. She listened to her inquire about the job she was suppose to have about going to Ollivanders. She nodded and replied. "Well what I was informed by the Undersecretary was that Ollivanders would be able to supply we with a wand shaped torch needed for the opening ceremonies. As I recall you were suppose to go into Diagon Alley and make a request for this to be made and have it ready as soon as possible since it was a top priority for the Ministry." She hoped this answered her question. |

Approaching the desk, she dropped her notebook near the older witch. On the page, a crude pencil drawing was made, showing the approximate 'look' for the object, with notations of height and width. "This is the drawing I had done for the thing, just to give them an idea to work off. I imagined it had to be 36 to 48 inches high, big enough for people to see it properly. I hope you don't mind that I took that small initiative, ma'am?" Her voice broke off near the end, just imagining how her Head might see her as taking too much initiative. |
Evaline looked at the girl. Well obviously if she wanted it as soon as possible, that would mean she would want it very soon. However some people had a smaller mind frame then Evaline and she figured she'd have to explain it. "Well, when you request it say you need it in about a day and a half." she replied to that. She then took the drawing from the girls hand and looked it over. "It's fine," she said nonchalantly to the girl and handed back the drawing. "Give this to the assistant and we shouldn't have any problems." she added. |

Emma nodded back to her boss, "Yes, Ms Bass. I'll go give her the due date, but thankfully I had already left her a rough drawing to work with. They might have already come up with something...hopefully." she added in low voice. That deadline was quite short in her estimation, but she couldn't voice her uneasiness with the situation. "I'll go right away. Thank you for your time, ma'am. Have a good day." Emma walked to the door, wondering how the thing could be done in such a small time frame. |
Dan knocked at the door of a seemingly room of unfamiliarity, the room was empty so he decided to leave a note. He left hoping for an answer. OOC: Sir/MAdame: I am Dan and was asked by someone to talk to you.... She wanted to ask if there is someone who acts as a Filipino Minister? Thank you. |
Evaline was walking back from her update on how the decorations were going when she saw a note left on her door. She took it off and read it. She unfortunetly could not do much with it since the person did not leave from which department they were from. She hoped they would come back. ooc: There is someone that could act as a Filipino Minister but there is not a permenant one since we don't have much call for that Ministry since this is Britain Ministry. I need a little bit more info, especially from what department you are from. |

OOC: Greetings, I am Dan from the Magical Maintenance Department. I was only asked for we are afraid the tagalog post will be obliterated. |
Donia walked up to her Department head's office, and, seeing the door was locked (and, indeed, already had one not tacked to it) she decided to follow suit. She shifted her box of belongings from her cubicle to on arm and with a flick of her wand, her note appeared on the door. Dear Ms. Bass it read, You probably don't know me, but my name is Donia Cailleac, and have been working in the Trading Standard Body for a while now. I wanted to take the time to inform you that I have been transferred to the Quidditch division of Magical Games and Sports. Thank you so much for your guidance as a department head, and best of luck for the future. Sincerely, Donia Cailleac. Donia sighed, glanced over her note one last time and then headed towards the lifts. A new department beckoned. |
Tarot was tired already, and he had just arrived at work. It had been a trying day so far; the trek here had been peppered with small annoyances. He hoped a strong cup of coffee from the Cafeteria would wake him up a bit... Finding the department wasn't quite as difficult as getting to the Ministry itself... but his superior's door was locked. Sighing in frustration, he took out his wand and conjured a sheet of parchment and a quill. Charming the parchment to stick to the door, he then flicked his wand at the quill, and it scrawled a neat note, dictated by his thoughts. Quote:

Evaline had just come back from a quick coffee break, when she noticed a piece of parchment stuck on her door. She walked up to it and plucked it off and began reading. When she saw the name she quite remembered who the person was, and she could have sworn she had assigned him a Division. She opened her door and slippe dinto her office and dropped the folder she was caring on her desk and walked around to sit in her chair. She sat down, pulled out a piece of parchment, and grabbed her quill to write Mr. Tarot a reply back. Quote:

"Evaline!" Lorraine exclaimed, quickly knocking and opening the door of the International Magical Cooperation Department Head. She had just come from a fabulous little meeting with the shopkeeper at Florean's, where together they thought of the most awesome idea to celebrate Christmas at Diagon Alley with the shopkeepers and department heads. Surely Evaline would just love to join in the fun. Spotting the woman at her desk, Lorraine held out the charmed box for her to see. "I've got the greatest news! And I know you're just going to die of love at this. I've just discussed with the woman at Florean's Ice Cream, Bella, and we've planned out a wonderful idea to celebrate Christmas at Diagon Alley. We've decided to do a Secret Santa, and we'd like to ask you to join in on all the fun." Setting the charmed box down on Evaline's desk, she patted it lovingly with her hand. "In this box, we've placed the names of every Ministry Department Head and each and every Diagon Alley Shopkeeper and Assistant," Lorraine explained. "The box was charmed so that when you tap your wand on the box and say 'Accio!', a certain name designated just for you will shoot from the box and land in your hands. Remember not to tell anyone whose name you drew - not even me! All you have to do at that point is buy a gift for that person and somehow get it delivered to them without knowing who sent it - they'll need to guess! Won't that be fun?!" Lorraine's hazel eyes twinkled with delight. "Now, if you decide to participate, we'll have a little party at Florean Fortescue's on December 19 (OOC: December 19-21 anytime is the roleplay). You can come bringing your favorite party foods and drinks, and we'll see if anyone has been able to figure out their Secret Santa!" Lorraine continued. "So, now then. Would you like to participate? If you would, tap your wand once upon this little box, say the correct incantation, and your name will just pop right on out of there! Go on...give it a try!" ***** OOC: As soon as you roleplay your charrie choosing a name, please return to this thread and follow the directions. Use the [s] [*/s] feature without the * to cross out the name you choose, then roleplay your charrie sometime before December 19 delivering the gift. You may choose a Ministry charrie or a Diagon Alley charrie. You can just be as creative as you'd like at this point. Don't forget about the party, either! Make sure you cross out the name you choose, so we won't have one or more people choosing the same person! Any questions, feel free to PM me! |
Evaline was busy at work gathering up data she had collected from her recent conference and heard a quick knock on the door and felt a slight breeze as the person stepped in without asking. She looked up to see Lorriane and decided it really didn't matter, she always did that, especially when she was excited. She smiled up at Lorraine and welcomed her in. "Hello Lorraine," she replied as Lorraine suddenly went into a full fledge speech about what she just encountered. She shook her head as she spoke catching pieces but figuring she heard the necissary parts, she nodded. "Sounds like fun. Sure I"ll do it." Evaline reached down out of the box and picked a name. She opened the slip of paper and looked. She smiled knowing what the perfect gift would be and looked up at Lorraine. "Alright. Can't wait." she added. |
