She then sighed as she realized she had to go over her first task of the day. The melting cauldrons. That had to deal with the Magical Law office. She figured she needed to go talk with the head for that department. |
So far, her day had been fairly good. Her employees seemed to be commited with their work, and responsible enough to perform their job, or at least, that's how they looked like to her. She was glad they weren't a bunch of lunatics, trying to pretend that they were professionals; she knew a couple of people that were exactly like that and it annoyed her very much. When she reached the Office of the Department head she cleared her throat and passed one hand through her hair, before knocking the door, and waiting for a response. First impressions were important. |

She leaned back in her swivling chair and responded, "Come in," to the person who had knocked. She wondered if this was a secret checking up on. She wouldn't be surprised if the Minister would do that. |

Constanza opened the door of the office, and the first thing that came to her mind at the sight of it was, Slytherin. There was green everywhere. Clearly, her boss was a former Slytherin student. And if she wasn't, then the woman's favourite color was green. She made a mental note about this. After recovering from all the green that was spread around the office, Constanza finally paid attention to the blonde woman behind the desk. She looked like she was around her age; that was a good thing. "Hello Ms. Bass" Murdoch greeted politely with a half smile, "My name is Constanza Murdoch, I'm your new head of the International Magical Cooperation Division" She said to her, "I thought I should come to introduce myself personally" |

Evaline smiled at her new division head. She of course now had to tell her Ms. Bass was too formal for a division head. "Well hello, its nice to meet you." she replied kindly back. Two down, one to go. "And you may call me Evaline." she added to her making sure she had that cleared up. Ms. Bass just sounded too old to her liking. "It was very nice of you to do that," she commented. "How have you been getting a long?" she asked. |

Murdoch felt relieved when Ms Bass was smiling at her. At least, she wasn't upset at her reaction to all the green. "Evaline, alright" She said with a kind smile on her direction. She seemed nice enough, or at least that's what Constanza thought. "So far, is been good, thank you" She said brightly. Then suddenly she remembered, the two extra people on her division, "Actually, there is something I was meaning to ask you" She took out a parchment, and read it before speaking again, "There are four people listed here" She said pointing at the piece of parchment, "Those four people are the ones supposed to be working on my division, but it turns out that there are more people there" She paused, and then went on "And I don't know wether they belong there, or they are just merely confused or something like that" |

Evaline grinned. She was happy eveything was good with her division. Its hard to come into something new and have it go off with out a hitch. She learned from her first day here that the situtation rarely occured. She then gave a quizical look at Constanza. "Really? They probably are just confused on the division room they are suppose to be in." she replied to her question and then added, "I think it has to do with that your division is almost named the same as the department." This was the most obvious reason of why that happened. She must get that changed. |
Constanza nodded at Evaline's words in agreement. That was probably the reason why there were extra people in her division, and it was completely understandable. "Well, I'm going to send those extra employees to their correct divisions right now" She said as she stood up, ready to go back to her division, and to get herself a cup of coffe as soon as she could. In her rush to arrive early to her first day, she had skipped breakfast, and her stomach was not happy about that. "It was very nice to meet you Evaline" Constanza said, with a littel smile to her. "I hope that we can get along just fine" I better get along with her, if I want to keep my job "Let me know, if there's anything I can do. I have to admit, I'm a little eager to start working" Maybe the word 'little' was an understatement. Thrilled would've been the correct word perhaps. "Have a nice day" Murdoch said politely, before walking out of the office, heading back to her division. |
So Chad's one way trip to the head of the department's office hadn't exactly been a direct route; he couldn't help himself, he received this sudden insane urge for peanuts. He was now popping them into his mouth one by one, after taking a rather lengthy detour from the Fifth Level Breakroom, all the way back to the cafeteria, and then all the way back to the Fifth Level. Hey, the man needed his peanuts. Ah, here we go...he paused outside the door, popped a couple more peanuts into his mouth, and then raised a hand to knocked rather strongly on the door. Meeting the Head person, it was now or never. |
Evaline was walking with her notepad at her side just coming from the Magic Office of Law department. She walked down the hall to her office and saw that a man was standing right in her path. She didn't recognize him but she shrugged her shoulderd and continued toward him. She came up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Are you looking for me?" she asking and then looked at her name on the door. |
Chad spun around his heels to observe the person who had tapped his shoulder. He sniffed softly while continuing to pop a couple of peanuts into his mouth. He should probably stop eating in front of the department head, but the darn things were just so addictive. You try to stop eating them. He figured that saying something might actually get them a little bit farther, but standing in silence and eyeing each other was just so much more interesting. Especially when a man was randomly popping peanuts into his mouth. "Mmmm, oui Mademoiselle...I think...Tu es..." he dug a paper out of his pocket and looked at the name, "Evaline Bass?" |

She opened the door and walked in, "Have a seat," she gestured and went behind her desk and swivled around so she was facing him. "How may I help you?" she asked him with a genuine smile. |
Chad smirked as she brushed past him into her office, and he followed her in, popping a couple more peanuts into his mouth. His eyes looked around the room, taking in the scenery, perhaps to get a feel of what the woman was like. "Merci Mademoiselle, mais I think I will stand. I have a feeling that this won't be long..." He paused for what he hoped would be a little bit of dramatic tension. His eyes gazed into hers softly, while he popped another two peanuts into his mouth. "Mademoiselle Bass," he started after he finished chewing the two peanuts in his mouth, "My name is Chad Stryker. I am the liaison for this department, je suis the link between you and the Minister." He waited for her reply, and popped on more peanut into his mouth. "Oh, so rude of me," he blinked, "Would you like a peanut?" |

She was just about to ask what his name was and his criteria when he replied himself. At least he was quick. She then heard his ties and criteria and sat up straight. Shoot Frenchie has ties. Must play nice. "Oh really. Ok then..." she said and then she stopped as he offered her a peanut. She shook her head and replied, "No thanks. I just had a few cookies earlier." and then she went back to her original statement. "So what exactly do you do?" she asked. |
"Oui Mademoiselle...I am positive," he sighed lazily and continued to look about the room, resting on how the woman was trying to make herself look more professional. He smirked slightly and started to teeter on the balls of his feet. He resembled a five year old with an extremely short attention span, but this was just the way he acted. Childish slightly, yet comfortable to the bone. It was the way he worked. He stopped teetering though when the feeling in the air seemed to change, a more...respectful feel. Chad smirked slyly, he could get used to working for the Minister. "Mmm, cookies," he nodded, "an excellent choice...mais, oh well. More peanuts for moi," he smirked again as he popped a few more into his mouth, raising an eyebrow as the woman talked. "Basically, I make sure that communication between this department and the minister is 100% fluid. I am positive that you are too busy to do it yourself, so that is why they pay me. You tell me things...I tell Minister, et voila! Everyone is happy and informed. Nothing better than that, non? Not good if people are not informed..." he sniffed again and popped the last peanut of the bag into mouth. "Shucks...," he pouted. |

Brushing the thought out of her mind, she nodded. Cookies were yummy. "Oh yes. I love them." She commented not want to give to much away. She had to be secretive to some people and he was definitely one of them since he was so close to the minister. She listened and shook her head in an understanding matter. "Ah I see. Well that is a nifty way of doing things efficiently." she replied to him. She liked the idea so she wouldn't have to face the Minister himself. He was quite scary at times. |
"Oui Mademoiselle! Efficiency is le key. Without it, we are doomed to be cave people with nothing better to do...I think..." he blinked and returned to teetering on the balls of his feet. "Well Mademoiselle Bass, I suppose I should leave you to your work. Have no fear, we shall be in touch and I will be popping in and out of the office on a regular basis. It was une honour to meet you and I hope that working with you will just as good!" He walked softly over to the door and turned the door handle, "Until the next time we meet..." he gave a small salute, "Au revoir Mademoiselle!" And he was gone. |
Susan decided that it would be best to meet her boss before she started any work. She knocked on the door politely and waited for an answers. As she waited, she took out a little mirror from her purse and checked her reflection to see that she was looking presentable. She wanted to be at her best. As she waited for an answers, she wondered how her boss would be. She was really pleased thatwhoever she had met until now were really nice to her. |
Evaline was taking a sip of her tea, when she heard a knock on the door. She set the cup down carefully, wondering if Chad was back so soon. If he was that obviously was not good. "Come in." she said as she leaned back in her swivly chair. Hopefully it was something easy that she wouldn't need to worry about. |
Gabrielle arrived outside the Dept. Head's office. She wanted to introduce herself to her boss before starting work, but it seemed someone else had just arrived, so she waited outside the office for them to finish before knocking. |

Finally she ended and Evaline began. "It's nice to meet you Miss Peters. I'm sure you will be a fine addition to the staff in that division. And no need to say your wasting my time. I like to know my staff." she greeted with a smile. She also noticed the girl's reaction her Slytherin pride. It was unlike everyone elses. I like her. Knows a good house when she sees one. |
Quote:
She was about to leave but not before adding, "By the way, Ms. Bass, you're collection of Slytherin pride is quite impressive. I was a Slytherin myself. Infact, I was the prefect." she said, swelling inside with pride but sounded humble. |
