Hallie tilted her head to the side and frowned.
"I don't mean to stop all thought process but wouldn't Obliviating all those Muggles be harmful to them ? Also, I don't think that just apparating onto the scene would be so wise...maybe if we have some people stake there for a while. I know we wouldn't already be at the situation just like there but for the newer, less trained people, it would be good to see how its handled before jumping right into it."

Clarissa grinned, nodding her head as Jake spoke. "Ah, well...no, perhaps not, but you don't have to admit it to everyone....just me." She replied cheekily before glancing over to the rest of the employees present.

Her attention turned towards Dan as Jake remarked on his role as captain in the mission that she had concocted. "Sounds like a great plan to me."

As Jake went on to prompt Dan to think about his suggestion, Clarissa listened carefully. He really was a good speaker; his tone never demeaning; but instead helpful and encouraging.

Emmett sauntered into the first office he found, trying not to reveal that he'd just been sprinting for his life. Attempting to look as professional and gentlemanly as he could, he walked over to the nearest employees, his toddler sister, Annabelle, at his side.

"Excuse me, my dear lady... would you happen to know what floor the Minister's office and the Minister's secretary's office is on?" he asked politely, smiling.

Annabelle looked up at the woman, shaking slightly from running so fast and so far. She managed a weak smile at her, edging closer to Emmett, who had his D&D handbook stored away in his pocket as to not be obvious about his great power of being Dungeon Master.

Dan was supprised by the entrance of two children "It`s on the first floor child but don`t mind me asking why do you have to go there?"

Hallie looked curiously at the two children, but then smiled and bent down so she was eye level with both of them.
"It's on the first floor, love."
She looked at them carefully and shook her head slightly.
"Running around a building you don't know well can be pretty dangerous. Especially one as big as this. Any particular reason you were running?"

Emmett smiled winningly. "I do not have to go there, sir. But..." Think up something quick, think up something quick! "...well, you see, it's been my lifelong dream to meet the Minister. Ever since I was three, yes sir." He nodded, beaming. They couldn't argue that. "I wanted to go to his floor to check to see if he was busy or not, so I could finally meet him."

The teenage boy smiled at the worker. "Thank you ever so much, ma'am." He bowed with a flourish before turning on his heel to walk out the door and head to the Minister's office, but paused and turned back when the lady asked him why he had been running. Well... er... hm. Suddenly, it came to him. An invisible, imaginary lightbulb that only Emmett could see in his mind lit above his head. "Why of course, madam. As I was telling your coworker, I have always admired the Minister and wish to meet him -- but unfortunately, I do not have much time to do so. I have an important meeting I need to attend that unfortunately is very, very soon, and I'm cutting it very close to even be here... so I must be at the lifts as soon as possible." With that, he and darted out the door, Annabelle tottering after him, Emmett thanking them over his shoulder with a wide smile. Yessss! Hopefully the Minister would just be having his conversation with Sparky.

"Strange very strange I would go and see how they were but of cource I know how you are Jake" said Dan smilling waiting for a response from the others before continuing.

Llewelyn Ambrose straightened the front of her dress and flipped open her pocket mirror to check her appearance. After making some adjustments to her bright red lipstick, she snapped the mirror shut and walked into the office.

"Hi guys," she said, flashing a brilliant smile, "What did I miss?"

Lance wasn't usually the one to be quiet. The only time that something like that could happen was when he had something bother him in his mind which was exactly the case right now. Of course the mock up mission seems interesting and the fact that two kids had appear in the office could make him curious but still this was the less of his concerned, he had more important things in mind. His future was at stacks and his current decision right now was going to either change it or keep him in the same track. The word that one of his friends kept coming back in his head over, and over again. The more he was hearing them, the more he was sure that he had made the right decision.

Taking a quill that was near him, he summoned a piece of parchment, he started to right down. He had a kind of determination in his eyes and a sort of relieved was rushing through him. He was fine with the decision he had just made but the only problem was to make it official. Standing up from where he was, he gave an apologizing looks to those who were present. "Sorry everyone but I have to leave." Quickly walking toward the door, he was trying to be as calm as possible.

"Uh," Llewelyn stammered, as a young man was quickly approaching the doorway she was standing in. Knowing that he would smell the corridor-forbidden cigarette smoke in the corridor, she tried to stall him.

"Uhm...hi. Where...where are you going?" she asked, trying to appear casual.

Lance was wondering why the woman was trying to get herself in his path, he blinked looking at her. "Actually I have to go see the head of this department. Do I mind me asking why were you wondering ?" He was almost wondering if she was hidding something.

"Oh, uh, me? Well, I was just," Llewelyn giggled nervously, "You know, it's gonna sound really silly, but..." she racked her brain for some find of lie, "I...I was just worried about you. Because you seem upset, and I wouldn't want you to make an irrational decision. Just looking out for my department!" she smiled a little manically.

Silence fell between him as this man looked at her. She knew he was suspicious. And at this moment, she had no charm coming to mind of how to fix it.

Lance took one step closer to her and he could smell something. Still looking at her with some curiosity in his eyes, he approch is face from hers. "If the reason you are doing that is a certain smell that I easily can identify right now, their is no need to be worried I'm not going to mouth this off but you might want to concidered a mint. That exactly could help. As for me, I've made up my mind and you don't have to worry it's not a decision that i'm going to regret." Trying to see if they were anything else she wanted to tell him, he twirled between his fingers the piece of parchment he had in his hand.

Llewelyn eyed the crumpled parchment between his fingers. "Well," she spoke softly, his face still mere inches from hers, "Thank you. And uh, I wish you the best of luck with...whatever you're doing."

She briskly sauntered past him and looked around for her boss, waiting to be put to work.

"Thats very strange Lance isn`t the one to be quite" said Dan "Lots of strange things are going on"

Llewelyn turned and looked at the man that had just spoken. Red hair...undoubtedly a Weasley.

"Strange things?" she asked, walking toward him, "What kind of strange things?" Before he could answer, she chuckled a bit and held out her hand. "So rude of me, I'm Llewelyn Ambrose. I'm new to this department."

"Obliviating harmful? Never! Well. . . I take that back. Yes, you're right obliviating can be harmful if not done properly. However, we are professionals and we do have the Obliviators at our disposal as well, so that shouldn't be a worry.

"As for the apparation. It is the fastest and safest way to get to a scene but I can see what you mean. We could apparate a bit further back and come on the scene a bit more casually so we don't startle anyone. However, we do have to keep in mind that when we're sent to a scene, there's usually a reason as to why we're being called there. Therefore, our fast response is required. How do you suppose we get there if we don't apparate?"

Jake listened as Hallie talked about staking the scene and nodded in approval. "Not a bad idea at all. Again I think the urgency of the situation will determine if this is possible or not, but I agree if it's something that can be put off for a bit, it's not a bad idea for some agents to stake it out and report back to us to let us know what we should expect and how many people will be needed on this mission. Very smart idea."

"I'm not sure about the less trained people though. I think it's not a matter of training but a matter of skill. Everyone here was handpicked for their skills, or they wouldn't be here. I think we need to figure out everyone's strength's and weaknesses and just make sure that a newer agent is paired up with a more senior agent just as a back up in case the newer agent needs some help. How are they ever going to get experience though, if we don't give them the opportunity? I have confidence in all of you that you'll do your jobs no matter the amount of time you've been here."

Jake blushed as Clarissa spoke. There was something about her that made his heart flutter, as he fought not to let his emotions show. He looked over at Clarissa and winked. "I will not do such a thing," and then leaned in and whispered "Not in front of these guys anyway" he laughed. "Perhaps over coffee later?" he whispered as he quickly turned his attention back to the group.

Jake's eyes widened as he saw two young children run into the office. "Since when are we running a day care service?" he quipped.

Walking over to the boy, he put his hand on the young boy's shoulder. "The Minister's office? I'm not sure you want to meet the Minister. He can be a . . . " But before Jake continued his thoughts he figured he'd find out who these children were first before he shared his scary opinion of the minister. "What do you two want to see the Minister for anyway?" Jake inquired.


Jake looked over at Dan in surprise and muttered, "Don't go telling these kids where the office is. Maybe we should keep them here and find out what's going on first."


"Well the Minister's awefully busy these days and he's not always a cheerful guy when he's busy. Maybe I can send him a notice and see if he'd like to come down here to meet you guys. I can even get you kids some food while you're waiting."

Jake so the kid about to leave and called out "Wait! An important meeting? Maybe I could have someone accompany you to your meeting, make sure you get there ok."


Watching the kids fleeing from his office Jake nodded. "Brilliant idea Dan! Tail those two and don't let them out of your sight! They're up to something!"

"Llewlyn, perfect timing. Dan here was going to go after two young kids who have wondered their way into the Ministry. Care to join him?"

Jake looked strangely at Lance and his sudden need to depart in the midst of all the chaos. "Everything alright Lance?"


Jake looked confused. "The head of the department? Is there something you care to share with me before you go?"


Jake heard Lance's comment about the breath mint and knew something was wrong. That was not like him to be so rude. "Not going to regret what?"


"You're quiet observant. Speaking of which, get tailing those kids! Go find out what they're up to!"

"Oh how rude of me. I should have introduced you to everyone, but it seems you have done so yourself. With every thing going on I seem to be a bit distracted. Talk about strange, I'm usually right on the ball with things. What is going on today?" Jake wondered allowed as a notice flew on to his desk.

Jake picked up the note and gasped. "No! It can't be!" I'm so sorry guys, but if you'll excuse me I have an urgent matter that needs tending to." he said as he pushed himself up and hurried toward the door.

Realizing Clarissa was still sitting there, the frowned. "I'm sorry Clarissa. This can't be ignored. I'll explain later over coffee. I need to find the new Head of Department and explain to him first." Jake said as he quickly hurried from the room.

Llewelyn nodded as she tossed her purse onto her desk. "Absolutely, sir. Right on it!" She motioned to the young Weasley man, "Well come along, Dan, there isn't much time to waste!"

Turning on her heel, she bounded out the door and after the two peculiar children.

Ben had just been heading to the Accidents and Catastrophes office when BAM! He walked straight into one of his own employees--or so he thought, he had no idea who this woman was--but, nonetheless, now his head hurt quite a bit. "Oww!" he muttered, rubbing his head. "I'm so sorry about that! Are you alright?" he asked. He was so concerned with his recent collision that he had completely forgotten why he had come here in the first place.

Alicia had been wandering her way down to her Division head when she noticed Ben and a young woman, who looked familiar, on the floor.

"Llewelyn?" She asked as she approached the two. Now she was closer, she recongnised the woman as the one she had been talking with in the Employee office's corridor.

Dan was just ready to leave when Ben arrived he said "Are you alright Ben?"

BAM! Right into the Department Head.

"Ow," Llewelyn groaned, rubbing her nose. "Oh, jeez, I am SO sorry!" she exclaimed, sounded rather congested. "Yes, yes I'm fine," she replied to his concerns, dabbing at the trickle of blood under her nose with a tissue, "I can just fix that up myself. Are YOU alright? How's your head?" she asked, taking his face in her porcelain hands without any discretion and examining where he'd been hit.

"Llewelyn?"

Llewelyn turned her head, her eyes instantly falling on that familiar rainbow-bright hair. She gave a sheepish smile, "Hello Alicia." Before she could ask, Llewelyn answered, "We just had a bit of a collision, that's all."

She turned her attention back to the man who's name was apparently Ben. Why was in rushing in here in such a hurry, anyway?

Her voice sounded strange. Wrinkling his eyebrows, his expression turned to one of horror when he noticed that she had started bleeding. "Oh my gosh, I hadn't realized I hit you so hard!" he exclaimed, whipping out his wand. "Episkey," he muttered, and the flow of blood stopped instantly. There. All better.

Or so he thought. Because a moment later, she had grabbed his face like she had known him for years, inspecting him for damage. EEEK! Personal space invasion! He pulled his face out of her hands and shook his head. "I'm fine," he explained. Gah. He wasn't exactly fond of being prodded by people he didn't know...actually, not even by people he did know. "Ben Cobblesten, Department Head," he said, introducing himself to the woman.

"Ahh, Dan, Alicia, good to see you two again," he added, greeting this woman's fellow employees. "I've come here to bring you urgent news. Your previous Division Head has had to leave due to personal family matters and is taking an indefinite leave of abscene. So, you have a new Division Head...her name is Becca, and she is moving in here from the Obliviator Department. I'm sure you'll like her, she's a very nice woman."

"Oh, uh, thanks," Llewelyn replied as the blood from under her nose disappeared. She felt a bit embarrassed when he jerked his head out of her grasp. 'Smooth, Llew,' she thought, 'Now he probably thinks I'm some kind of freak.'

She straightened her suit a bit and flipped her hair, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Cobblesten," she replied with a smile, "Llewelyn Ambrose."

"Oh," she replied when hearing of the urgent news, "Well thank you for the information." A new division head? She'd barely met the old one. But ah well, it wasn't really a big deal. Llewelyn just hoped she wouldn't make another questionable impression.

"Right, well, she should be in sometime, but I'll send a memo your way tonight, too," Ben explained, standing up straight so that his head was just inches from the ceiling. Hmm...he'd have to talk to maintenance about getting the ceiling raised. It was awfully low, and that was NOT going to work with his 6'4" frame. "You're going to do a mock mission later, which is basically just practice for when we're actually on the field. I want to see what you all know so far so I can get a fair idea of what I am working with," he explained.

With that, he turned and headed out the door and back to his office, "Cheerio!" he called as he left.
