So Here We Go: Hi Chris! Congratulations! You are the next author on the Meet the Author Series! Come on down!!!
Teehee!
Me?! *runs down the aisles shaking hands and high fiving like a madman, juuust like the Price is Right * Hey there Bob Barker Droo!!! Bob Barker?!? Someone's behind in the times! It's Drew Carey now... GASP! DROO Carey Ok, let's get started. Tell us, what was the first book you ever remember reading?
Hmmm...thats a hard one for someone who forgets what they are doing on a regular basis...Um, I think if you don't count nursery rhymes and fairy tales that all little kids read then I would say probably Charlotte's Web. (If you do count nursery rhymes and fairy tales then it was probably the Three Little Bears.) But I read a lot of books NOW!!! *laughs a nervous laugh looking out at the large SS crowd* Mhmmm... Yeah... Right... OK... Let's say I believed you, what got you into reading?
I don't remember reading a whole lot on my own when I was little, but my mom does tell me stories of when she would find me reading to my sister (who was just a tiny baby at the time). *is embarrassed by the cuteness* Awwwww *snugs lil big bwodder chwis* I'm sure your sister loved it. Do you have a favorite genre of books? I like a lot of different genres of books and it really just depends on my mood. I like to read fantasy and things like Harry Potter but I also like historical fiction as well. (Is a history nerd) I am currently in an AP Literature class in my high school so I also like to read the books that she gives us in there, so Shakespeare and Wordsworth are also often found in my bookbag. hehe So let's talk about Harry. When did you get into the Potter saga and how? In the third grade! At my elementary school, we went to the library every Wednesday and we were allowed to check out a book. I picked out a little book called Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone and the librarian would NOT let me check it out - she said it was too hard for me. Soooo being the good little student I was back then () I checked it out anyways and finished it in like four nights! I was a third grader mind you! So I shooooowed my librarian! Jo really did get me into reading, my parents bought me the other books that were released at the time and I read them, too. Yay for Jo! Getting us back into reading. But I'm not interviewing you for your reading skills. WRITING! What was the first thing you wrote? *headdesk* (Yes, I just hit my head on YOUR desk Droo!!) This is soooo embarrassing! Well I used to read those little chapter books that were niftily titled like Lions at Suppertime and Knights at Midnight, and they had two kids a brother and sister who traveled through magical books and such. Anyways after reading them I made my own (like two of them xDDDD) and I drew pictures as well. I was in like 4-5th grade and I knew I wanted to do something in my life with literature. LOL! Is there a method to your madness? In writing I mean? Do you just start off and take no prisoners? Or do you have a layout of beginning, middle and end? My AP Literature teacher tries to show us different planning techniques but I am one that just writes from the beginning to end without much planning. It comes naturally to me, I guess. What brought you to Snitchseeker?
Well, I was looking for Harry Potter movie news and I had been checking out the site Mugglenet for a while, and then I saw a link that they had posted for Snitchseeker and I clicked it by chance (a heck of a lucky move wasn't it?!) and it took me here. I was immediately brought in my the school RPG and then you realized there was everything here. Fan clubs, role plays, and fan fictions and awesome people! *'s all the awesome people who have made SS my second home!!* What inspires you to write? I don't know. That's hard to explain. When I hear true stories in history class or listen to a guest speaker tell things that they experienced, it just hits something inside of me that makes me want to write. Also great works of writings like The Great Gatsby or Hamlet helped me get inspiration to write school essays and such, and have them not feel like just an assignment. (Like I said, hard to explain) *nods to all the fellow writers out there* Have you written many other Fanfics? Is HP the only genre you write? To be honest I haven't even come CLOSE to the amount of HP fanfics I want to write here on SS. Between school, work and other things on SS, I have not much time these past few months but I graduate next month and I am looking forward to writing again. At the moment the only fan fictions I have going on are HP versions but I would definitely like to branch out and write some other things. Do you have any favorite authors? Again with the tough questions!!!!!! Thought this was the Price is Right?! Come on! Spill the goods! Umm...well obviously J.K. Rowling, Oscar Wilde, Machale, Yann Martel, and way too many others to even come close to mentioning all of the great authors! So what about music. What kind inspires you? Oooh *goes through Ipod* Well I like pop, indie, bluesy-type stuff, alternative rock and such. Some people and groups I have right here at random would be like...Muse, Adelle, MGMT, Artic Monkeys, Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglecias, and Florence + the Machine. (Thanks to a few friends here on SS actually, they know who they are when they read this...HEY ABUELA, bebe, and pokah!! ) Sorry about that, I couldn't control myself. *takes drink of water* Sweet Circe! *drinks some too* So, besides being silleh, what are your hobbies? lol! I like to swim, read, hang out with friends, listen to music and watch TONS of movies! I am a huge movie fan. Oh and the most important one...get on the ole SnitchSeeker!!! Awww! So *plays horror music* If you were to be sent to a deserted island and could only bring three things, what would they be? Droo are you trying to make me have a freak out?! LOL! I wouldn't do that! *snuggles and stops the music*
Well, they would probably be....my family (counts as one item) *gives you the rules* hastely written by me a few seconds ago, some Peanut Butter Twix (my favorite candy ) and an iPad with all the movies and books I could download onto it in a 48-hour notice! Hmmm... I don't see me on that list... but I forgive you. My favorite question (credit to Ern) If you were a Bertie Bott Every Flavor Bean, what flavor would you be and why? I would probably pick sour green apple because....well, I have never taken a bite of myself recently I kid, I kidd! xDDD and I love green and I like sour candy so maybe I am sour?! Ahhh a Slytherin lover! I KNEW IT! Imagine you got called up for the Oscars cause your story won for best screenplay... Who would you thank... *offers microphone* You know, OTHER than me... Other than you?! Well there goes the whole front page *flips it over and gives ya a smooch* You are sweet. *blush* Well, I would have to thank my parents and my family for being such a great support team, my friends for believing in me and letting me go sit in a corner at their houses sometimes when I got an idea and just had to write it down before I forgot it, and the woman who helped inspire me to become an English teacher after university, my Ap Literature/11th/12th grade teacher.
*wipes tear and fist pumps with the Oscar trophy* *snickers and takes pictures* Thanks Chris, for your interview! You are welcome any time, Droo! *shines off Oscar and day dreams of placing it on my mantle* Oh, we are still on the show?! Bye everyone! And it was great being with you today!
....
*Takes off running from the stage before anyone can take my trophy* Hey! Get back here with my pretend trophy!!! *chases* |

I loved it! ♥ Great job, both of you! Just make sure when we all become famous after our big break, Chris, that you don't become even more of a diva than you already are. |

Congratulations Chris! Enjoyed reading your interview, and I pictured watching it as a talk show. Very funny!
Droo, I love your interviews. I don't think of you as a talk show host though. I think you'd be a great one to be at like the Oscars, and pulling random stars off of the Red Carpet, and asking your creative questions. LOL How many would you stump? But our SS members do very well with them.
Again Chris, very nice interview. You too Drew.
