Adele walked cautiously into the room, smiling warmly at her new co-workers. "Hello! My name is Adele Troutwater, and I am your new Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Coordinator." She said cheerfully. |
Quote:
"Very pleasure to meet you, Chelsea." he smiled to Chelsea. "So, you were new here?" asked him. Quote:
Quote:
"coffee?" He offered him for coffee. Quote:
Adler noticed that a woman came and greeted them. He greeted her back. "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Troutwater. Adler Charlotte, Ministry Security." He smiled warm to her. |
Emily wasn't greeting anyone.. except with an occasional nod of the head. Munching on her carrot sticks she watched as more people arrived. They didn't need to know who she was, she was just a YATI. But it was good for her to know who they were, and once she saw a face, she wouldn't forget it. Deciding that she wouldn't steal all of Izzy's spoils, Emily got herself her own veg... a nice big handful of it. Smirking a little as she overheard Izzy and Wes, she retreated back to the security of the wall. Cough. This time she stood a little nearer to Blaise, but still with Izzy. Now it was show time... Surely thsi idle chatter couldn't keep up for too long, there was work to be done. Celery stick. Yum. |

She still had to keep calm - after all her roommate - and almost arch nemisis Raven was in the room. Stay calm - and try and remember what happened at University. As they say - What Happens Quote:
Let them be scorned by Merlins Burning shorts...mhm thats just how she felt about them. Maybe sending a spy up there would help - someone to pretend they were worshiped Lord Borrikins - right make him feel like he'd won Level Two when all in all it was a rouse...a well planed rouse. Quote:

"Pleasure - ah, yes I am new here" she admitted with a slight smile. "I'm the new Pensive Review Specialist" she smiled happily running her hand through her hair. Quote:

Soo... Ryan Chambers could join this meeting as well, right? Well...he'd later have tried to spy on it if he had not been allowed to do yet seeing there were other divison leaders in the room, the blond smirked and walked in. ''Hello, everyone.'' he said waving the people in the room in general cheerfully. He liked meeting new people after all and knowing others from other divisons was always useful. Hmmm... After his general greeting, the man directly eyed the food there yet, no firewhisky? That was not good. Whatever...passing by the food and drinks, he just sat down and looked around. *smirk* |
Chelsea looked up at the guy who walked in. Yes he was older than her, yes WAY to old for her...but he was attractive. "Hello to you as well" she may have winked a little bit...partly on purpose partly because of the hair jabbing her in the eye. Stupid hair. "I'm Chelsea Payne" she introduced herself with a quick smile. |
Quote:
Hmmm? Realising that his greeting was returned by a lady, Ryan stood up and smiled at the woman. Well...hmm he had not seen her on this level before so probably she was one of the new employees and had transferred from some other department. Either way she did not look like a rookie at all. Smiling at her widely, the man walked towards her and nodded kindly ''Well...well...well. It's good to meet you Miss Payne.'' was that a wink? ''I must be lacking my observation skills today since i failed to see such a beauty shining and illuminating this dull conference room. Please forgive me. The name is Ryan Chambers, Chief Inspector of IUMO. And...your position?'' |
Quote:
|
"Nice to meet you - I have a feeling we will be working together quite a bit." She admitted with a quick smile. After all Chelsea did work within the MLE. "I'm actually the MLEs new Pensive Review Specialist - but other than that originally I'm from Los Angeles...then Canada for a bit" she admitted with a slight smirking-smile. "Oh.I`m from westminister."Alex said with a smile. She loved to visit buckingham palace and westminister abbey. Such enchanting places."Your job sounds really interesting!Mind if i ask what you do in your job?I just patrol. Not very fun all the time." |
Quote:
"And why thank you for the compliment - must say you are surely forgiven" Not going to say not so bad yourself on day one...that was a promise. But she could think it none the less. |

Arden slipped into the room, glad she wasn't late. She saw a few familiar faces from her time wandering around her new office, and she smiled and nodded in their direction. She wanted her first impression from her new coworkers to be friendly, so she announced herself... If anyone was listening she didn't know, "Hello, I am Arden Luxor, Restoration Assistant. Nice to meet you all!" She had a little notepad, ready to write down anything she might forget, which, let's face it, was bound to happen. Arden found a chair and slipped into her seat. She sat up straight in her chair, adjusted her clothing and turned to an open page of her notebook to doodle until the meeting started, unless anyone wanted to talk, she just was too nervous to initiate! |

"So, you are also new here? How was your feeling be a part of MLE?" asked him to Dean. Quote:
"So, you have any experience before in here? Wanna some coffee?" Adler offered her. |
Everyone was introducing themselves, and yet Nathan was just sitting there staring at the food like some starving puppy. Hmm, maybe he should join in a bit? Yeah, be sociable. He cleared his throat and smiled at no-one in particular. "Hey guys. I'm Nathan Dryant. Does anyone know what time this shindig is starting?" He asked. True, this meeting wasn't exactly a party but whatever. There was food, and people were chatting. All they needed was a spot of the Weird Sisters playing and they'd be sorted... |
And he had entered... Ben walked into the room, bringing along his usual air of confidence. He smiled around at the other workers, "Hey there! I'm Ben Stanley, MLES Deputy Chief Inspector." he grinned with a certain friendliness, inviting people in. |

SPOILER!!: Everyone Chelsea smiled over to Dean well he was a nice guy - offering her a muffin. "I would love one - thank you" she smiled. When he asked her about her experience she couldn't help but blush just a tad - she was only twenty one and fresh out of college - well almost "fresh" seeing as she'd gone through training at the same time. "Well - I do have some experience - mainly training in the North American Ministry of Magic" she smiled. Yes seeing as there were so many Ministries - and all with their own Minister or Ministresses. It would almost be faster to just conjur up a dossier on herself and let them all know yes I'm trained and I could defend all of you if I had to. Then she noticed that Adler had also offered her coffee - and asked about her experience. Right. Time to answer, turning to Adler she smiled "Thank you so much - but I think I'm all right on the coffee front" she smiled acceptingly and then looking from Dean to Adler she smiled. "Yes - some experience I worked for a year in the North American branch as I said earlier...but I also went to University and studied Forensic Psychology and Criminalogy - I also trained in America with the FBI for a bit...you know the usual learn how to track Criminals...nothing too 'big' I was a Desk-worker with the Fraud division - and that only lasted about a year...I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do so I went and trained in the MLE for the North American Division out of the offices in Los Angeles - and few months there - now I'm here." Wow she blushed not wanting to sound like Hey i'm the biggest and best thing that ever walked into this Ministry - nope not at all she was just well trained. For now atleast - who knew this job might only last a year and a half...she'd be the Mexican Jumping Bean of the Ministry jumping from Department to Department - or job to job more or less. "How about you two?" She asked both Dean and Adler giving them both a quick smile. Deep breath - then she looked to Nathan and Ben - so those two looked nice enough right? "Hello Mr. Dyrant - - ooh I have no Idea when this is starting...soon I do hope. Oh I'm Chelsea Payne by the way" she smiled offering him a quick have to shake. Then it was Ben's turn "Well its a pleasure to meet you Mr. Stanley - I'm Chelsea Payne the new Pensive Review Specialist - I believe we may be working together quite a bit in our jobs." She she had thought she'd read something about that in her Dossier. |

Millie walked into the confrence room. Looks like she wasnt late. Good. Everyone was already mingling though. Millie just found an empty chair & put her things in it. |
Chelsea spotted another girl walking into the conference room - another blond girl at that she looked nice enough. "Hello - I'm Chelsea Manning new pensive review specialist and you are?" She asked smiling and offering a hand to shake. Good to meet the coworkers right? |

"Security, is it?" he said, nodding from his position in the back of the room, arms still folded. "I'll be working with you then. I'm Blaise Carlisle." He smiled slightly, his position on the table not changing much. He was, after all, just observing. Quote:
"Need help working with any of the new Security people?" |
Ren'Ai flipped her head to adjust her hair and looked around, mildly interested. She yawned a little, looking down and tapping her nails on the table. |

Finally there was a man from Ministry Security!!! "Very nice to meet a person from Ministry Security, Mr, Carlisle. I'm Adler Charlotte. Just call me Adler." said Adler calm. |

"That would be much appreciated actually," Gabe said, wiping his hands on a napkin. "I showed Richard Stone where the security office is on level 8, Adler was already there - directed by the wand-weighter. But if you could assist me in showing them around the levels they'll be patrolling it'd be a great help. Thank you." He conversed in a whisper in case Van was hoping to get started any time soon and wanted quiet. |

Legend was late...right? Oh man. It really wasn't his fault that he had gotten lost in the Ministry. He had only entered the building like three times before. The eighteen year old quietly made his way into the room and slipped into the seat that was closest to him. If some said he had showed up late to the meeting he would DENY, DENY, DENY. Yeah. That was what he would do. |
Quote:
"Well! I'll have to watch myself then, won't I?" Arden joked, her mood got better, the woman's smile was a bit contagious. "Are you new to the Ministry?" |

"How about you?" he leans his back on the wall, sipping his coffee again. Quote:

"I continued my study at British Magical Law Institute after Hogwarts. Then, I went to work with Scotland Yard as an assistant to a detective for two years. It was shocking when I found out the captain was a squib after a year I worked there. The next year, he told me if I wanted to work with the MLE. He hoped that I won't waste years of study of magic and magical laws, then come working with muggles." Quote:

"Yeah. It was really hard. At first I wanted to apply as an auror. But they put me at ministry security. I'm gonna develop my skills in Security, join some training. If I am ready, maybe I'll apply again :D" Said him calm. Sipped his coffee, he continued his talk. "This term, they only got Legend Chosen as YATI, right? Lucky him..." Quote:

SPOILER!!: Everyone speaking to Chelsea "Its nice to meet you too," Chel told Adele as she took a sip of her coffee - yes she had been set on the coffee front because she already had three mugs. Brillaint she was going to be up the walls tonight. "It will be nice to work along side you as well Ben" Chelsea smiled though somewhere deep down she wanted to snap Hey don't use that tone on me! BUT he'd get that from someone else. "That must have been a very interesting experience realizing your coworker and boss at that was a Squib. Me - I only had to do desk work, so I think I was safe on that part...nothing too magical to do with finding tax evasion - rather boring actually." She admitted with a shrug she wasn't one to sugar coat her old job not at all. She rather hated when people did that. "Glad he suggested you work for the MLE" she smiled. "Originally I went into Law because my father was against it...imagine a normal wizard not wanting their only daughter to have power in the magical government." |

"I hope so.." said Adler with giggle. Yeah, he hoped his job in Security wouldn't be difficult and nothing weird happened. |

Isobel smiled at the new employee though. "Welcome to the department." |

Smirking she continued munching on her veg, relishing the flavour of the crisp green capsicum in her hand. Newbies were so impatient. |

Arden nodded, noticing the snack table she had completely passed and didn't notice. "That food looks appetizing... I'll be back." She got up and walked over to the food. She grabbed a little plate and put a muffin on it. She stared at the table, hungry, but not wanting to take too much. She looked around, surveying who had taken how much of what and if she was one of the last ones to get food. She shook her head and grabbed another chocolate muffin and started walking back to her seat. |
Quote:
I'm sorry. I know being an auror is not very easy." said Adler calm. "By the way, thanks." continued him. |
Quote:
Yes she didn't like her father....but that was another story. "Well I'm sure no one would encourage in this day and age when they know the scrutiny the MLE gets for well...not being cult-friendly." She shrugged her shoulder she'd never be cult friendly. Nope not at all. |
Quote:

Quote:
His face turns solemn. With a whispering voice, Dean asks Chelsea seriously. "Could you tell me more about the Cult? It doesn't have to be here though since there's too many people. Maybe we should have coffee..." |
He has been here all along *amused* Sorry for the delay. I've been very ill. SPOILER!!: Meh Reh Blaise got a grunt in response to that... but it was a fairly friendly grunt. Van stayed quiet though and continued to wait for more people to arrive. SPOILER!!: Tiro MacMhuirich Jax got another grunt. Quiet. And then a small smile in return. SPOILER!!: DeathEater1 Why so sad, newbie? Van noticed the girl enter and narrowed his eyes slightly as she went to mope in the corner. That wouldn't do her much good around here. He mentally dismissed her as Gabe arrived and caught his attention. SPOILER!!: MeredithRodneyMckay He got a nod too. SPOILER!!: Lara_the_Firelady ... and Ryan got a look. He almost liked the man. Almost. It was that whole... inappropriate flirting with the female staff and possibly something to do with the fact that the man wasn't from that same stoic, jaded, law enforcement background as the rest of his senior staff. SPOILER!!: CharGryffindor Shindig? Van's eyes flickered to Dryant, but he didn't answer. Yes part of the point was for people to get to know each other, so technically the 'shindig' started as soon as they entered the room, but perhaps more importantly, it'd start when Evander Bole bloody well said it would start. SPOILER!!: dracosgurl His eyes zeroed in on that woman who had been transferred from creatures. He mentally docked brownie points for the yawning and nail tapping, but again didn't say anything. He scanned the room, listening to snippets of conversation and generally gauging the new staff. SPOILER!!: Kaos.Doodles Yeah we saw you arrive kid. ... but we liked the quiet nature of said arrival. Van eyed the boy coolly for a moment before letting his gaze drift around once more. SPOILER!!: JennyWeasley06 and FeatherStar147 His eyes came to rest on two women, Luxor and Caxton by the files, both MMAO. Van's lip curled up in a slight smile at the not knowing what he looked like thing. Yes well, MMAO didn't have to be quite so observant as some of the other divisions, he supposed, as long as they did their jobs well enough. SPOILER!!: alchemist_18 Van cleared his throat, and eyed Adler Charlotte. He clearly wasn't aware of what the YATI program was if he was making such assumptions. Van would address that when he started the meeting. SPOILER!!: RachieRu "And on that note," Van spoke up loud enough to be heard, returning Izzy's glance, "We shall begin." He had taken a mental list of who was not present, and aside from a few who weren't starting for a few days, they would hear about it. "I am Evander Bole, department head of Magical Law Enforcement, former Hit Wizard and Undercover Operative, and you are the best the Wizarding World has to offer." He paused and then added, with a grin that contrasted his imposing appearance, "Or at least the best that the Minister's Office allowed to slip through into my hiring pool. In any case, I know all your files intimately... and I'm glad to have all of you here on the team." He meant it too. Van was nothing if not strict with his standards. Training was important. "So welcome, and if you haven't, help yourself to the food." But also, pay attention, right? Heh. "Now I know there is much which is overwhelming here on level 2, and much going on in a political sense," He meant the cult, "Which makes things a little unstable, but I'll do my best to be available to you, as will your division heads and the senior staff members." And just to be sure... "Here with us right now we have Gabriel Vartann, head of security." He gestured at Gabe. "Ryan Chambers, head of the Improper Use of Magic Office," Watch out ladies, Van thought to himself dryly. "And Dorian Tamerlane, Chief Inspector of Counterfeit Magic and Equipment Control." He indicated the three men in turn. "Wesley Ferguson is the head of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad and Hit Wizard division," and Dacs got a quick nod of acknowledgement there, since she had been working so hard covering while that role was unfilled, "Laurie Henderson is the Director of Prosecution for the Wizengamot, Benjamin Amsten leads our Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office and most of you know Damien Jackson, our head Auror, who is taking a leave of absence for a short while. In the meantime, acting Head Auror is Isobel Montague." Were they paying attention? He looked around. OOC: I am so sorry for the long wait. However, things should be back on track now. :) I've linked the profiles for the members that RP these characters, so that those of you who are new that have a charrie working under them know who to look for :) |
Hope you're feeling better now! :) Roxi snapped right to attention when the Department Head started talking. She wished already that she'd brought something to take notes with. What?! What was that about the Minister's Office and letting people though? Something seemed off about that… At least Mr. Bole seemed sincere about being glad to have them. A lot going on in the political sense? Roxi was curious as to what exactly was going on. Whatever it was had to be serious if the Minister's Office was interfering. She nodded and smiled at each of the division heads (the ones that were there, anyway) as they were introduced. |
Feel better soon, Tegz! <333 Wes looked up from picking his second muffin apart when Van finally started the meeting. Good man, introducing the important people and whatnot. He swallowed hastily and gave the room a nod and a wave when his name was called. So Damien's absence was official then. Well. Congrats to Izzy on being his temporary replacement. He knew she had wanted the job. Wes leaned back in his chair and tried to refrain from swiveling too much as the meeting continued. |
Esme lifted her brow in surprise. Izzy was to be acting Head Auror? How wonderful! She tossed a smile towards the woman and decided that she would have to officially congratulate her later. It might take her a while to remember names and faces, but not too long. She usually had a fairly decent memory when it came to things like that. She studied each of those named, trying to commit their names to their faces. She leaned back into her chair, unable to keep from feeling pleased that she, and everyone else in this room, were amongst the best. There was pride to take in that fact. |
Ben fell silent as Mr Bole began speaking. He looked around at all of the department heads in turn, observing their faces. He didn't know any of them, apart from Wes, Ben's own boss, he made a mental note to greet them all later. Who's Damien? Ben really needed to get up to speed with the happenings around the department, he sat down on a chair, eagerly waiting to hear the rest of what Van had to say. |
We love you Tegz! <3 Hope your feeling better! Emily watched the newbies as Van kicked off the meeting. Committing faces to memory was a priority... she didn't like surprises. She was eager to see how many aurors they were getting. Surely they'd egt somone else, aside from Chosen, to make up for their slightly diminished numbers. Damien, in her mind was worth at LEAST two. She gave Izzy a small smile. Yeah... she knew Izzy wanted the job, so it was nice to hear that she would in fact be acting Head Auror. A celebratory drink later perhaps? |
Feel better Tegz Chelsea was listening intently - of course she knew the Politics were a little topsy-turvy about now. Well how couldn't she? Because her roommate was a former MLE official as well. And now, atleast she knew who her superior was. Wesley Furguson looked like a nice guy. She would have to introduce herself to Wes later - it was only the polite thing to do. Offer a handshake and a name for the new Pensive girl...mhm. She was eager for all the information they were going to get today...and taking notes of course notes on what her job entailed, notes on how to act, who to avoid...outside the department of course she wanted to be safe. Not get written up for just breathing someone's air. |
*huggles you* Hope you feel better soon Tegererzzzz A hush came over the room as Van started speaking. Gabriel stuffed the last piece of muffin into his mouth and chewed it quietly. It filled a gap. He nodded along as the new people were addressed, nearly snorting at the little Minister's office quip. Yes, he was surprised actually that MLE were allowed to have any new recruits - considering the high regard with which they seemed to be held. But then his own name was mentioned, causing Gabe to sit a little straighter and smile at everyone who wouldn't have a clue who he was. Raising his hand in a small static wave of greeting, he then sat back and folded his fingers together across his chest. His eyes wandered to all the people that Van was introducing, finally falling on Izzy. So she was going to be taking over, for now, from Damien? Gabriel made a mental note to congratulate her later. |
Legend didn't have time to reply to the person who had been talking about him. Because if he did have time, he would have given him a piece of his mind. Lucky for the guy Evander spoke up, bringing the attention back to him. Legend listened carefully as names and really important jobs were listed off. Now...how was he suppose to remember all of that? Was he suppose to take notes? Nah, he hadn't even taken notes when he was in school, his brain would remember somehow. And..Damien wasn't here so Izzy was filling in? Huh. Good too know. He didn't know either of them too well but Izzy seemed nice enough. |
SPOILER!!: Lights Lights observed everyone with a little smile. She'd been unnaturally quiet today, listening to the chatter while eating a muffin. They were really good, but not as good as her sister Eleri's. They would have to be pretty awesome to top that. Lights smiled sunnily at Gabriel Vartann, her boss, she supposed. Well, obviously, since she was in Security. Lights glanced around, wondering if anyone else here was in her division. She'd seen a few Security Officers in the Atrium, and as far as she knew she was the only girl. Hmm. |
They were good. Van approved in general of the hush that fell and the respect directed at him that came with being quite and listening to what he had to say. He wasn't one to tolerate disrespect after all. "Now some of you may not be aware of the responsibilities of other divisions here in Magical Law Enforcement. We have seven divisions and each is just as important as the other." Really. It wasn't all AurorAurorAuror. Comparatively, though they were the highest train unit and most specialist of all of the MLE, they were the least important in day to day business. They just got more of the credit. "On the noticeboard there is a list of the divisions, feel free to copy it down if you wish or refer to it as you please." And hopefully they'd duplicate it by magic and not handwrite the whole thing. Waste of time that would be. He indicated the noticeboard behind him and shifted slightly to one side so that he wasn't blocking it. "Any questions about the different divisions before I move on?" SPOILER!!: Division descriptions |
Chelsea smiled to Evander as he directed their attention to the board. It was nice to finally have a description of all the different departments - she was SO going to save that for future references. I mean who didn't want to know all about their jobs? NOPE no questions here. So far. She'd learned about Wizengamot from her roommate - nice place. Purple robes. Blinking she just started taking notes on the different departments. |
Lights smiled, pointing her wand first at the noticeboard and then at her notebook. The information appeared there as though written by an invisible hand. Lights produced a tricolour Muggle pen from her pocket and doodled a golden snitch in the corner of the page. Those Muggles had a good idea with these pens. |
Roxi started digging as discretely as possible in her bag for a scrap piece of paper or anything really that she could copy the division descriptions on. Wait a minute, am I witch not?! She pointed her wand into the bag and cast a silent accio. Out came her small list making notebook. Oh well, this will do. Just in case, she grabbed one of her pens too. Roxi pointed her wand at the board, cast a duplication charm and watched as the words neatly copied themselves into her notebook. She still couldn't get over how cool it looked even after all these years. |
Ben stared intently at the board, taking it all in. He knew most of the information already, but it wasn't too bad to copy it down. He pointed his wand at the board before quickly conjuring up a small notebook. Before his eyes, the words appeared on the small pad. Smiling to himself, he settle back down in his seat reading over the copied writing, whilst wondering how the auror office back home was doing without him . |
He remains silence as Bole opens up for question. He doesn't have anything to ask so far. |
Jaxton smiled as he has told the different Division Heads. He noted whose faces changed as names were called out, adding names to faces as Evander kept talking. He stood at the back of the room, happily listening silently. As the full division list was revealed, he re-read the information as a reminder but didn't copy the list down. He had a separate file on his desk that was a simply text list of the employees of the division. He wasn't anything if not precise. When asked if he had any questions, Jaxton simply shook his had softly. He wasn't sure if Van would see that he'd done it or not - but he felt better knowing that he had answered his boss. He wasn't going to be rude to a man who had become a close friend over the last eighteen months. |
Eh, Wes was pretty familiar with all of that. He had worked here once before anyway. The man folded his arms and swiveled his chair a little, watching as all the newbies hurried to jot down everything Van told them. Heh. It was just like being in school again. |
:/ i dont check this for 2 days & miss a lot! hope your feeling better Tegz! Millie felt so stupid when she realized the man she's been waiting on was right there standing with in 10 feet of her the whole time! She quickly Smiled at the Man and casted a duplication charm to what was on the board for everything that seemed important to be jotted down so she could refer to it later at home she made sure everything got written down she was EXCITED to say the least. Millie had no further questions and lightly shook her head as she awaited further instructions from Mr. Bole. |
*glomps* Well...it looked like the meeting was about to start since Evander Bole walked in. Of course Ryan caught the look he shot at him for which the boss man got a smile-smirk mix from Ryan himself. Of course the blond man could tell what the look mean, he did not need to use his human reading and psychoanalysing skills for that and that was exactly what made him smile. Once Bole started to speak, Ryan gave the woman he was speaking to a smile too that kind of meant 'talk to you later'. Oh, he was definitely going to talk to her later. She was the kind that he needed further info about. For what though? Probably for his own entertaintment. Yes, Ryan Chambers did such things for only self-satisfaction sometimes. When the department head Bole man mentioned his name and title, Ryan gave a nod to the room in general wondering if his divison had new employees. Yes, he totally did not bother to check if there had been new employee files. Maybe, he'd do that later. Now there were people around to stare at and analyse for fun. Hmmm... |
Upon hearing a man starting the meeting, Arden made her way back to her seat, plate and drink in hand. She resumed her seat and neatly ordered the things in front of her: notepad, quill, wand, plate and drink. When she was satisfied she looked up at the man greeting them. He had been here the whole while Arden had been, which meant that he had probably overheard her conversation about him... Well, that wasn't too terrible, it's not like she had said anything bad... just dumb. She surveyed her new boss, wondering how we would act when the meeting was adjourned. He spoke of a few things in an unappealing manner, and Arden decided that this might be worth having on paper. She flicked her wand and had the quill start writing for her. This way she could keep her attention on Mr. Bole. When he named off certain embers of staff, Arden strained to make sure she got a good look at them, and had the quill write their names and positions. Upon seeing the notes Mr. Bole had made regarding the different departments within Magical Law Enforcement, Arden stopped her quill, and duplicated the notes. She loved time savers! Arden scanned the area of her peripheral vision to see if anyone was going to come forth with a question on such basic matters, but sat silently herself. She returned her quill to its place and took a good sized bite of her chocolate muffin. |
there was a misunderstanding xD What's wrong? Adler felt there was a misunderstood. Maybe he need to tell about that to Mr. Bole, Gabriel, or maybe the head auror. He didn't want to insult anyone. Just... huh, a silly ambition. Then Adler paid attention to the Department Head again. |
Alex was settled now. It was hard to distinguish the diference between aurors and mles. MLES was like muggle police, and aurors were like those people who need to come when things get too crazy for MLES. Now she knows. |
Ren'Ai duplicated the information n the noticeboard and immediately any tiredness she had felt from staying up all night with a cranky two-year-old vanished as she leaned her head on her palm, bi-coloured eyes focused. |
No questions? Good. "If you're stupid enough to get lost in this department let me know and we'll arrange a transfer." Van continued, his voice wry. He explained a bit further, "There are maps everywhere and all the doors to the different rooms are labelled. If you don't have business somewhere, I don't expect to hear of you snooping around though. For instance to make use of the Magical Forensics Laboratory, you must report to the lab supervisor, Elinor Danvers, as well as gain permission from your division head or myself, unless you are stationed there yourself." Which meant those in lab based roles, mostly MMAO and CMEC. "Please take note of your job description, as well as any orders given by your superiors. I don't want to hear of anyone taking it upon themselves to investigate things that do not concern them. If you come across a crime that is not something your division would usually deal with, pass it on. No exceptions on this. Don't act like a vigilante, that's the fastest way to be booted right out of here, and for that matter, stay out of Knockturn Alley unless you are on assignment or happen to prefer spending your downtime there." Especially now with things being as they were. It was dangerous. He looked around to be sure people understood. Yes? Good. "Magical Law Enforcement spans three levels, and indeed the Ministry as a whole. The Atrium is where Security are based, as I'm sure you are all aware. Level 10 houses the courtrooms which fall under our jurisdiction, and any of you in a legislative or law making role, are encouraged to make use of the facilities there for drafting meetings and the like. The Wizengamot convenes on Level 10." He wondered what Lily was doing. "Any of you who happen to hold other... abilities, such as an animagus form, you're in luck that you won't have to go far to ensure you are registered. If you don't register I'll find out and you'll be out of a job." And arrested, but lets not go into that. "Additionally, I don't want to see anyone suddenly turning into a goose or a dog or whatever during work hours. Its rude and I won't stand for it." Especially mid-conversation. "Please speak to your division leader if you wish for a tour of the Ministry. You can arrange them amongst yourselves." Obviously it was important to be familiar with the place. "Aside from your general job descriptions, any additional assignments will be found either on the noticeboard or given to you directly by your chief." Pretty simple really. "If you haven't yet submitted your file to me, do so as soon as possible please." "Questions?" OOC: If your character is an animagus, a couple things to note you need to let Anna Banana know/get permission regarding this (and any special abilities/conditions) and register IC too. Remember its not extremely common or easy either, which is why we regulate it ooc too. There were only SEVEN known/registered/legal animagi in Harry Potter's time! Being unregistered and discovered = time in azkaban. |
Esme made a few notes on the notepad that she held in her hands. Simple enough to understand. She was fairly familiar with this particular part of the floor, but would have to either get that tour or just speak to Izzy. She could tell her everything. Anigmagus...She glanced around curiously, wondering if anyone here was such. She certainly was not, but then again, it was a rather rare feat, so it wouldn't have surprised her if no one here was one. File already submitted, so she had nothing to worry about on that front. Setting her pen down, she looked up and shook her head. No questions at the moment. She was simply eager to get started. |
Roxi quickly jotted all of that down. No snooping around, no getting lost, no spontaneous animagus transformation, no stupidity in general. Got it. She wondered if anyone had ever been stupid enough to not look around when they weren't sure where to go, but decided that question counted as stupid. Instead, she settled for wondering if he was going to tell them about this cult business she'd been hearing about. Don't ask that Roxi! It's probably just the type of snooping he's talking about! Instead she just shook her head no. |
Arden was getting a writer's cramp. She did not like writing short hand, so she wrote No... stupidity, getting lost, snooping, acting a hero... She wrote down Elinor's name, along with the name of the lab, just in case. She wrote a few other notes, and put her quill back to rest. She couldn't think of any questions right now, as she was too busy absorbing the information given to her. She opened and closed her hand, getting rid of the annoying cramp. |
Legend wasn't taking notes. All of this was common sense. Didn't these people understand common sense!? His attention was less on Evander and more on the food anyways. What was the point of this meeting again? Instead of asking the boy-man kept his mouth shut. He did not need to be hated by the department head. This wasn't like school, he wouldn't just lose a couple of silly points, he would lose the man's respect. Legend did have a legitimate question..but this wasn't exactly...the place for that. |
Lights felt a little guilty. She had already morphed into her dog form in the Security Office that day, but that had been part of introductions. Simple pleasantries. Tell that to Richard, thought Lights. He was scared stiff. She had to cover a grin at the memory of her coworker's face. Lights wrote a reminder to register herself as an Animagus. Easy enough. But the thing about not snooping around ... now Bole had laid that clearly on the table, Lights couldn't exactly defy it openly. Which meant that looking for her mother's murder file was going to be harder than she'd anticipated. Lights bit her lip, rolling her pen between her thumb and forefinger. Her mind drifted to Ethan. Hopefully he wasn't as bored as she was right now ... Lights raised her hand awkwardly, feeling a bit like a child back at Hogwarts. "Um, who do I see to register myself as an Animagus?" OOC: I know where to go OOC, but not IC :) |
Ren'Ai listened intently, jotting down short-hand notes at the same time. No snooping...well, she was never one to snoop. She wasn't an animagus, and didn't plan on becoming one. So she seemed to have it all worked out. |
Jaxton, like a few of the other DMLE workers, wasn't writing anything down... after all, if they had to be sensible - wasn't it simply sensible not to go looking for trouble and to behave? He rolled his eyes as he noted a lot of the staff noting down simply things however. He sighed, and agitated rubbed his lower left arm. He wasn't used to being surrounded by this many people. However, he couldn't help but snort as Van told them not to go into Knockturn Alley. Sure. Yup. Okay. He wanted to laugh, but knew that Van wouldn't appreciate that... So instead he crossed his arms over his chest and continued to lean against the wall quietly. |
SPOILER!!: The BossMan Well, she wasn't learning anything new in this Orientation meeting... though in all honesty she didn't really expect to. It was all common sense, which made it all the more hilarious to see that a bunch of the newbies were taking notes.. Heh... notes. But at least they were trying, right? Emily frowned slightly as Van advised them not to go down Knockturn Alley. Sure she knew she shouldn't, it was dangerous, and the last thing she wanted was to bump into Recard or some other Cultist in those parts. But there was something about Moribunds that left her feeling satisfied at the end of the day. Well... she would do her best not to go down that way for a while, that, and she would make sure Sabel didn't either. Though if they were to venture down KA, it would be better if they were together. Logic. Animagi?... transforming at work?... Just the thought of it made Emily feel sick. Seriously, for someone that was supposed to be strong enough and experienced enough to learn the skill, they were pretty daft. What reason could they possibly have for using it at work? Around the Ministry? ... show offs. Her eyes darted to a blonde woman who asked where she could be registered. Great Merlin! |
Ben leant back in his chair, he knew his way around the ministry already. He didn't need a tour, perhaps he could give someone one. Anyway... Knockturn Alley? He'd accidently slipped in there once when he was 13, he was never going back there. He didn't need telling twice, his head nodded vigourously in agreement with Van. Ben had considered becoming an animagi once, but he'd never gone through with it. He was extremely glad of that, he didn't like the sound of transforming into an animal. Well, not since seeing that American Werewolf... |
Millie was NOT an animagus. she never really wanted to be so she didn't have eto worry about that. & she didnt need to worry about knockturn ally either she wasnt going there! |
Dean like some other employees isn't jotting down notes. Honestly, everything Bole said was logical and the matter of discipline. If they can't understand that, what are they doing in the department in the first place? But then again, maybe some of them have memory problem or just want to make sure. He leans against the wall, not so far from his other colleagues waiting for Bole to say anything else if there's any. |
