Well, that was easily settled. Both Simon and Kennedy got a smile as they replied in the positive and De Talone got ignored for the moment. Or not. "You're really not helping your case there, De Talone," Roxanne replied back dryly, not even looking at the door as she dug into her briefcase to pull out a notebook, separate written on paper and a pen. "Ready, Legend?" she asked once she had all of that in one hand, putting her free one on the door.

Once it was open and she was inside, leaving the closing of the door to the Auror, she walked over to the desk set up and sat. Placing the notebook turned to a blank page on said table, she sat her pen on the page, then cast the charm that would make it act just as a Quick Quotes Quill would. Finally, she pulled three bottles of water out of her briefcase, one each for herself, Legend and De Talone. "You did say you wanted water, right?" she stated, placing the bottles on the table. "Please, sit." And get a surprise as she did so, too, as the chair on her side of the table was one of their 'special' ones that would chain her to it as soon as she sat. "State your full name for the record." And so Roxanne could check her charm work and the effectiveness of the chair.

"Roxanne."Legend nodded, as if to say 'sup'? But he didn't because it was completely informal and everything, and he didn't know the woman that well. Though, he didn't think she thought much of him, especially by the look she shot him, as IF he was doing anything wrong. And if he was it was most definitely not HER place to call him out on it.

It was almost like the woman thought choosing him would be a challenge. Seriously?! His eyes narrowed just a bit, but other than that, Legend gave no other reaction. "I actually was sent here for a reason but sure Rox, I'll help you out." Like the amazing Auror that he really was.

"See you guys soon enough." Legend said with a small wave to the rest, in case they left or something. Pity, new YATI's and he only got to say a few words to them. Entering the room behind the Director of Prosecution, Legend quickly shut the door, and flashed a large smile at de Talone. Rather than taking a set, Legend remained standing, right at the side of the table.

Genevieve nodded solemnly at the instructions given by the rather bossy-yet-professional woman before she slipped into the room with de Talone and began to bark at the young woman. Or wait... old woman, right? Even though she looked the exact same age as Genevieve.

She pressed forward to peer into the room as soon as the door closed. "How many times has she been interrogated already? Have you ever done it? Do we get to practice interrogating?" Merlin, she was starting to sound like Mo. Genevieve cast a sunny smile over her shoulder at poor, beleaguered Simon before returning her attention to the glass. Was this what training was going to be like? Watching all the time?

And were there other Auror-types?

New YATI's, fresh meet and hopfully ripe for the picking. Emily was her usual self as she made her way to the holding cells, though there was a small spring in her step. Only, the spring subsided at the view before her...

"Excuse me... what do you think you're doing?" Because, if she recalled correctly, Jax and herself were supposed to be heading up the interrogation. She'd have done it herself, but it wasn't her call. At least, it was part of her own job description. What did Roxanne do? Wasn't she a parchment pusher?
Needless to say she didn't oversee the de Talone case while the others resolved the infection case, for nothing. No. They owed her at least this satisfaction.

Nodding at the young and unfamiliar faces, Emily sized them up. Only time would tell if they'd be cut out for aurorship. "Emily Browne, your leader," she said by way of introduction. It was in her title, leader, hence her use of the term.

With a supercilious look down her perfectly adorable nose, Amarantha eyed the two law-enforcers as they entered the room and made themselves comfortable. Not that Amarantha was comfortable - she was tired and dirty and cold and thirsty and she no longer smelled like violets.

"I demand legal representation. I have rights, and you have completely failed to provide me that which I am entitled. When the International Confederation of Wizards hears of this, the entire Ministry will be adrift in scandal!"

She disdained the cold, hard seat for the moment, choosing instead to pick up the water bottle between two fingers. It received a sniff. "I do not drink from plastic. Glass will suffice, but I prefer cut crystal." And the woman would do well to modulate her tone, or Amarantha wouldn't chat at all.

Grrrrr. Two difficult people? Really?! Turning to Legend for a second she opened her mouth to speak. "Yes, you were sent down here to help interrogate De Talone here." And that was all she was going to say on the matter.

As for the aforementioned woman? "You waved all your 'rights' when you decided to steal time from children. It might come as a surprise to you, but people don't take too kindly to that." And now she was too good for bottled water? Rolling her eyes, Roxanne pointed to the chair. "Now sit before I make you. And you should be glad you're getting any water at all. But since you're too good for plastic, you can just dehydrate for all I care." Be one less useless criminal taking up space. "State your name for the record."

SIGH. The old woman was so tiresome, but Amarantha dropped into the chair with a graceful motion. She didn't want to give in, but she also saw no point in prolonging the inevitable. Amarantha settled her elbows on the table and leaned forward to engage the woman.

"I do not waive my rights, and your disappointing lack of understanding in our legislative system actually bodes very well for me. I have full confidence that in a few days, I will be walking out those doors. And you will be unemployed. But I'll give you a second chance, because you're already old and wrinkly and I feel bad for you. I wouldn't want your children to starve on my behalf. I'll say it again. I demand representation."

OLD?! Who was she calling old?! "I find it ironic that you of all people, are calling me old. You do realize that you are technically over 160 years old, right?" Roxanne pointed out. Even if De Talone didn't look a day over nineteen, she was still way older. And thank goodness the other woman had sat down, because the chair's chains did their job, and chained her by her ankles. But then the woman hit one of Roxanne's sore spots. No, not the accusation that she didn't know her job, but the comment about children. Specifically, her children, of which she had none. The admission of which came out from between clenched teeth. "I have no children." Yep, this was such a sore spot that she had to stomp stride to the door and leave to keep from punching the woman. "Legend, you're taking over. Get Emily to help you." she said, before slamming the door shut behind her, totally forgetting her ordeal in these very cells from during the zombie case.

He couldn't help his eyes from narrowing slightly when the witch behind the glass began to complain. He made another mental note to not let his emotions get in the way of his job.



Kennedy's eyes were still on the one-way mirror when Simon spoke. He nodded and followed. Time to get this on the road, yes? He was pretty excited, besides everything else, to get started on...whatever it was they were going to have him do on his first day. Even observing sounded exciting.

Leaving the prosecutor and Legend alone to their manuevers into the other room, Simon focused on viewing their interaction with the time thief once they were inside the room on the other side of the glass. His two shadows had been obediant in following him to the appropriate one-way mirrored window, Genevieve appearing to be quite curious about the past interactions as shown by her questions.

"Not personally on my own," he answered truthfully, the topic helping him fight his urge to smile at her behavior as he remembered himself at that stage. That skip in his own training had been something he hadn't really been a fan of. Granted he was still supposed to be learning according to his status remaining as YATI, but still...how was he to trult learn without trying it out for oneself? It wasn't like he was one of those within the division that would likely lose their cool in front of her. Well...as long as Legend didn't push him too far.

Simon might have said more but they were joined once more by another, this time the person in the form of Emily. "Emily..." he said politely with a nod, acknowledging the leader as she made her presence known and introduced herself to the newcomers. He didn't take his full attention from the proceedings however, knowing it was best to keep part an eye on the situation on interrogation. It was to his benefit as he was able to see Roxanne's movements and not be surprised by her sudden exit even if he was at least mildly taken back by her tone and the act of putting Legend and Emily in charge after having appeared quite interested in doing it herself.

Now what? he mused to himself with an ever so slight raised eyebrow as he remained quiet.

So SOMEONE was supposed to be interrogating Amarantha de Talone at the moment, Wes knew this at least, and unfortunately it wasn't him. He was busy doing things like visiting with his kids promoting people and trying to find a replacement wizarding director of prosecution. But he knew that if he led her lawyer into the interrogation room, the man would find his way (and his use) quickly enough.

"Here we are," Wes announced, kicking open the door to holding cell number one. He shifted the twin toddlers in his arms, both of whom had suddenly gone quiet at the change in surrounding, and turned around to see that their visitor was still behind him. "What did you say your name was again?"

Carrying toddler's into a Holding Cell room? Either this man was very brave or very stupid. He didn't know the man well enough to care so he'd just go with stupid for now.

"I didn't say, and neither did you." The two little boys weren't about to tell them his fathers name either. "Sydney Edgeworth" He answered the DMLE Head. "Scott and Logan going to be of this too?" He at least heard the two boys names while in the Waiting Room. It was his job to listen thoroughly of course.

Great...just great.

The interrogation seemed to be stalled as Legend and Emily were left in charge. Not like he could help move it along unless he broke position and stepped on the toes of the full aurors. So Simon was stuck overseeing the new YATIs as they awaited things to move on. They didn't have to wait long however for when the door opened once more, he turned to see it carried his boss and the head of the department and seemed to hold promise of good things.

Albeit with toddlers and a stranger in tow.

The fourth year trainee watched quietly not wanting to interrupt the two men until they were ready to acknowledge the others in the rooms. Simon did get a chance to observe the other man...Mr. Edgeworth and think on his possible purpose there. Lawyer if his acquired skills proved right since family seemed out of the question for de Talone.

Things were getting interesting.

Wes would have thought Amarantha would have woken up by now, or whatever she was doing in her holding cell. Applying anti-wrinkle creams, maybe? Hah.

He half-pivoted toward this Edgeworth, and when the man said his boys' names, his eyes narrowed and his suspicions heightened. "No. Of course not. We're going back to reception." It was high time the boys went back to the nursery or back home, apparently, since creepers were now invading the Ministry on their lunch hour.

"We'll give you a moment alone with your client," Wes headed for the door without another glance. "If you need something, knock on the door, or ask for me. Wes Ferguson, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement." There was his introduction, not that the guy seemed to need it. Happy, mate?

Wes shook his head and moved out the door, holding his boys much tighter than before. "YATI," he called out as soon as he was outside it and the door had slammed shut behind him, "Gather up here for a second."

Simon watched as Wes dealt with the man…lawyer…and left the room almost as quickly as he had originally entered not long before. The young man in turn looking to Emily for her instruction since she was in charge here…of the YATI at least, now that the boss was gone once more. However it was at the bellow of the department head that his attention was grabbed, his head turning back to the closed door. He quietly nodded at the order despite Wes no longer being able to see him, glancing briefly back at the newcomers as if quietly nudging them on, before following the older man out of room in compliance of the request.

It was hard to tell what exactly had just gone down in the holding cell, but one moment Genevieve was trying to take in all the basics of interrogation from behind a sheet of magicked glass, and the next she was watching Roxanne stalk off in a huff. That was surely not the best way to go about interrogating, right?

Maybe they'd give her a shot in there, just for fun.

When bossman!Wes appeared and called them over, Genevieve gathered as instructed. So THIS was their Department Head? Why exactly was he carrying around babies? Was that standard, or just bring your baby to work day happened on her first day? "Good... morning, sir," she finally offered.

Kennedy had been avidly watching what was going on. De Talone wasn't spilling any beans and he was eager to hear what she had to say in her defense. It was sort of annoying, the woman was. Kennedy wrinkled his nose when she spoke. She should have more respect for Roxanne Carter. The woman seemed important enough since she got to interview the red head.

His eyebrows rose when Roxanne Carter left. What...happened? Did De Talone really get to her? Meh, Carter probably had her reasons. Not too long after that, the door opened and his green eyes were on the newcomers.

... Babies.

Was all his mind could process at the moment. Babies. He had just left one before coming in today, and he had just seen two the day before and the day before that...and the day before that one. He gave a subtle head shake to snap out of it. He watched the two men, one of which presented himself as Wes Ferguson, their Department Head.

When they were called by their title, Kennedy followed after Simon and Genevieve. They weren't going to be put on babysitting duty just 'cause they were new, right? Well, him and Genevieve that is.

It pleased her to no end that the Roxanne had stalked off in a huff, and Amarantha wiggled her fingers at the departing figure. Good riddance. "So you... man child," she turned her attention to Legend. "Amuse me. Bring me water in a glass. I could use a salad. Do something useful."

And then he appeared. Her LAWYER. Finally. FINALLY. "Sydney. I'm so pleased you could join me. They've been absolutely beastly."

Sydney smiled a crooked smile to the young lady before him once she addressed him. "Amarantha, it's been quite a while. I got here as soon as I could." He turned to the young man as well. "Yes, fetch my client something to eat, and drink. I to am famished". Sydney snapped his fingers once to get the boy's attention It was simply appalling to see the conditions they left her in, and the state she was in herself. If he could he'd counter sue the Ministry for her treatment under the MLE. Treating any of his clients as already guilty never floated well in his boat.

"Too long, my dear Sydney. Far too long," Amarantha held out a hand for him to shake or kiss or whatever it was he wanted to do. He could touch her, this lawyer man of hers, because he was going to save her from this place.

"I don't like this place. Do you suppose it would be such a hardship for them to feed me and let me bathe occasionally? And books... could you bring me some of my books? I'd prepare a list, but they won't even give me paper." She paused and dabbed at her eyes with her fingers. "I want to leave this place, Sydney. Immediately, if possible."

Sydney leaned down and took her hand into his. He patted it on top with his other then kissed it lightly letting it go. "You said it very clearly the first time Amarantha. They're beasts" He gave her nice smile, that still turned out rather crooked. He stood up and pulled a chair up along side her. Leaning down some he grasped his two hands together in a ball and rested his arms on his lap. "I will not let you stay caged in here, and will do all I can to prove you're innocent." Sydney let off a small yawn for he was still very tired. "Books? Ah yes, from your shop. I was planning on heading down there myself soon. See I need to find something that will help me prove you are not to blame for stealing time from Students" He paused for a moment and gave the young girl a look of concern. "If you know of anything that will help me prove this, you must let me know Amarantha."
He unfolded his hands and moved one into the back of his coat pocket, pulling out a small notepad with a pen stuck through the rings at the top. "Make your list of books for me, and I'll grab them while I'm down there." He handed the poor girl his notepad and waited for her to make her list of books.

Hands in pockets and whistling a bit, Josh walked into the holding cell. If Emily saw him entering the room like this, she would probably go mad but he did not care now. He did not as she was not there anyway. Plus he needed to keep himself away from all the stress anyway, as much as an Auror trainee could be away from the stress.

He had heard about her a lot but this was going to be the first time that he was going to be face to face with this De Talone woman. Maybe it would do some good...to...something. He did not know. Emily ordered him to check her so he was there. He was going to see how it was going to end up to be like. She was a woman after all and women were kind. How bad could it be?

Wait...

Not all women were like that. That Dacs woman was definitely out of that kind.

Whatever...

Looking around a bit in the room, he slightly rubbed his stubble.

''Ms De Talone?''

Not feeling so good about it for some reason, Josh walked in the holding cell where De Talone used to be held. How did that odd woman ever manage to escape? It was a mystery and Josh did not like mysteries. Not a bit. Especially not the Department of Mysteries, which was where many mysteries were kept, since he had gone to see Evelyn that one time and ended up in a corridor where he could make no progress no matter for how long he had been walking. Every time he found himself in the beginning spot and...ugh...okay it was not the time for that.

The young man closed the door behind himself and eyed the place. It did not feel like a nice place to be yet criminals, he thought, did not even deserve this good. Taking his wand out from the belt holster, he started a light and started to examine the walls with it very closely. Why walls, he did not know. He just randomly decided to start from there.

Gotta find how did that odd woman managed to escape.

Carter was already there, but then he sort of had to be. It was in his job description. What Genevieve wasn't sure of, though, was whether this was a legit assignment, or a punishment one handed down to them because of that stupid fight in the forest. Were they actually expected to find anything, or was it just busy work to tide everyone over?

She hoped they did find something, something vital and key that would prove the YATI weren't completely useless creatures. Without a word to Carter, she stepped into the cell and started to scan the opposite wall. She started at the door and headed inward, prodding each block with her arm before prodding it with her wand. Physical and magical clues.

"D'you think there's really anything in here? She was watched so carefully."

Jory arrived at the holding cell. He knew all about De Talone's escape and was just as baffled as everyone as to how she could have done it. He wondered if her lawyer had anything to do with it. Of course, this only made things look bad for the Department.

"Hello,'' the YATI member said in greeting to Carter and Genevieve. They had already gotten started with their efforts to solve the mystery. Jory felt awkward standing there. Should he just jump in and get searching or did they have special instructions for him? In the end, he figured he was just going to jump right in. He began with the heavy door, following Carter and using wand light to see better.

Seeing as he was still halftime in the Auror office along with his new security duties, Simon was working on splitting his time between the tasks assigned to both divisions. Time management was crucial in this type of game and having to balance both jobs to the best of his ability so that neither suffered. So when he finally made his way to deTalone's holding cell to deal with that search and investigation, Josh was already there with Branxton and Stonewall starting on the inside if the cell.

"Anything interesting...? He mused quietly as he set about looking around on the outside. Weaknesses and anything that gave some hint as to how the port keys and such were handled. Simon made a mental note to check out the cell Legend had locked him in eventually as it neighbored the time thief's place.
