Isobel shook her head a little as Wes walked off with their boys. Was he starting them early? Well the boys were bound to come into the MLE at some point, what with both their parents having worked within the department at some point. "Behave..." She called teasingly. she knew he would though. He always looked after their boys. Turning back to Emily she smiled. "Anything interesting going on?" Part of Isobel missed the department a lot. It had been her whole life. But at least down in mysteries it was a little bit safer. It probably helped things, especially with her boys now.

"You could come mine if you want..." She murmured, smiling at Emily. "That way you could see the boys too..." She grinned, knowing Emily did like seeing the boys. "I'm sure we have some firewhisky in." Considering that she and Wes loved the stuff it was a big possibility that they had some.

Her head shot up as she heard Wesley coming back. Hmm. Boys home? "Mmm...." She eyed him carefully, figuring out that something was going on. "They need a nap soon anyway." She murmured, motioning for him to hand one of them over to her. "You got time for lunch?" Seeing as he was the reason why she had come up to the department.

HAVE A PIRATE! Hehe. For Tori <3

Damien had gotten the owl from Jax a few days back... it had taken him a little time to arrange his departure, but there was NO way he wouldn't be there for his mate. I mean... the dude had always been there for him. Except for that one time... when he was undercover and he NEEDED him. Heh. Nah for real though, here he was.

Casting a glance around he smirked to himself as he made his way up to the reception desk and propped up on one elbow, oblivious to those around him for the moment. Well, that was not entirely true. He saw them, but didn't want to disturb them with his awesome presence in case they were otherwise occupied. The former Head Auror began to chitty chat with the receptionist, whose name had escaped him as he waited...

Sonea 07-11-2013 06:06 PM

Looking around him Hyun Joong entered the right department. This was the first time he was here so he had needed to search for a few minutes before he had found the right location. He had his working suitcase with him, ready to start with his job when he was done with all the official stuff. He needed to introduce himself to the members from this office because he needed to work with them. He also needed to get briefed because this was really his first workday and he had still not a clear view about what he needed to do and with who he needed to do it.

Looking around him Hyun Joong saw that the office was empty but he was sure that somebody would notice him soon enough. When he looked a little further he saw that there were a few chairs, probably for the visitors and he walked toward them. He noted that the chairs were really nice to sit in but he didn’t relaxed while he waited, this was not the time to relax, not while he was at his work and he sat with his back straight and looked around him, ready to stand up when he saw somebody.

Aron knew he didn't need to escort the Head Auror all the way back to Level 2, but here he was anyway and still dressed in his ninja disguise. Minus the face cover because that was rather superfluous at the moment. "Well, that was fun," he said as they entered the waiting area.

He had to wonder if the Aurors in training suspected anything, seeing as their Head Auror had been captured with relative ease. Either that or him and his department volunteers were just too hot to handle. Yeah, probably the latter. Heh.

Speaking of Heads....Would Head Cabbage be coming out?

She was all grins as they'd taken the lift up to level two, the looks they'd gotten in the atrium were to die for, and she couldn't help but wonder if they could do this again sometime. That, or just let her walk around in a ninja outfit of her own? Heh."Yeah, it really was."

"And thanks for sweeping me off my feet," literally. It was an amusing experience, and if it had to be anyone, she was glad it was Aron. "Your team did well, I'm impressed," she mused, thinking of their impact and the scattered focus of her team. Merlin. They'd best get their act together and ... survive.

BanaBatGirl 07-16-2013 09:56 PM

Wes was just rounding the corner from somewhere that was definitely not his level (the other floors had decent coffee machines, after all), with a cup of joe in one hand and some papers in the other. He was reading as he walked, but when he heard voices up ahead he stopped reading and started sipping his coffee more quietly. It sounded like...

Aron and... Emily. Aha, so it was. "Back so soon?" Wes greeted them both with a wicked grin. "And unharmed as well. Good job, Aron." He gave the man's costume a head-to-toe look and a nod of approval. His second question was directed more to Emily. "Were they shocked? You'll have to tell me all about it."

But first...

They had a visitor. "Hello," Wes called out in an almost-friendly tone. This man looked rather rigid. "Can I help you?" Minister's Office was down one floor, and this guy looked more than a little out of place in the MLE.

Oh, somebody greeted him! Hyun Joong looked around him and saw that a man walked toward him. He didn't had noticed him... He grabbed his suitcase and stood up. "Hello, My name is Park Hyun Joong, I'm the new Ministry Advisor and... I have heard that i need to work closely with this department." He walked toward the other man and made a small bow with his head before he offered the other man his hand.

Oohh lookit! Bossman!
Emily smirked. Yep, they were back. She simply gave Wes a nod and a raised eyebrow. Had he expected it to go differently? Less smoothly? Granted, Emily had to take another moment to admire the ninjaness of it all. She had to hand it to Aron, the guy had style.

"Definitely shocked, not quite deer in headlights, but close enough. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the other challenges."

A new Ministry Advisor, eh? Did they really need more of those, just because they had a new Minister?

Wes shook his hand though and introduced himself. "I'm Wes Ferguson, head of this department. May I ask what capacity you're to be working with us?" He was just... curious, was all. Advisors usually left the MLE to their own devices and trusted them to get the job done...

"Can't wait to see it all in the pensieve review later," Wes shot back to Emily. "You can go relax for a while though, get some coffee or something. We'll be heading back to check on them later before it gets too dark." Heh. For now though, he had to figure out what this Advisor dude wanted.

"Make sure you bring the popcorn," she added with a smirk. It made for good viewing, in fact, she wished she'd snuck off discretely and stalked them through their obstacles. Pity.
"Sure thing," she nodded, not that she needed another coffee, but she certainly had a craving for it. With a nod at her BossMan, and another nod at Aron, "Thanks, catcha," she turned toward the elevator. Coffee and maybe a pasty would go down very nicely.

I SO did not forget I had posted here *mellow*

Ah, there he was. "Thanks for the opportunity," Aron smirked at his former boss. "Felt pretty good to be out there in the field like that." Had been a long time since he had needed to do something that active. Field research was one thing, but this awesome little ninja attack on Wes' employees. It was also good to know that he could count on his own employees in a pinch. Good bonding for the level right there with those that had participated.

"I should be getting back to my level. Lots to do after that, er, explosion," he said as he raised his ninja face mask again and made his way out of the waiting area.

For all Level 2 employees who want to jump in at any time!

Stepping into the reception area of Level Two, Laura had only one mission in mind: surveying as many Ministry employees as she could about “green” initiatives. Her boss, Roxanne, had set up the task, though Laura kind of suspected she was supposed to try to catch people off guard. A sort of way to open their eyes to the importance of being environmentally-friendly. But she didn’t think she had the heart to make people remotely uncomfortable.

At least she would have Jasmine helping out. Laura was sure her colleague would be a great help with all this surveying. They still had seven levels of the Ministry to go after this one. Holding her clipboard in the crook of her arm and having her pen tucked behind her ear, she was juggling a stack of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” fliers in her other hand. Hopefully, when Jasmine arrived, she could take over the duty of managing the fliers and handing them out. In the meantime, Laura gently set them down on the ground. There. They would be safe there for now.

Laura scanned the reception area, which didn’t seem to have a lot of goings-on at the moment. Well, that was good. That probably meant she could snag a good amount of employees with a bit of free time who would be able to talk to her. She wondered for a moment if she should wait for Jasmine, but then again, she was confident her colleague would be punctual as usual. Might as well get started, right?

Heading over to the receptionist, she read the name plaque on her desk. Uhm, Muriel, it was? She didn’t seem like the conversational type. “Erm, hullo, Ms. Muriel. My name is Laura Miller, and I’m from the Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection. My colleague and I are here to ask Law Enforcement employees about what they’re doing personally to be more environmentally-friendly,” she said. Her eyes flitted around the reception area again, hoping someone other than Muriel would speak up.

HyunJoong shook the hand from Wes and made a small bow with his head, showing his respect for the other man. When Wes spoke he straightened his back and thought about how he could answer his question. He wasn't here for work at the moment, not officially, even now that he had all his papers with him and he was here during working time, his break to be exact.

"I'm here not to discuss my work, i'm just here to introduce myself and to know with which people i need to work." He looked at the man before him and and gave him his business card. "I think that it is important to know each other if we all want to work closely with each other so that we all can do our best." He smiled shortly at the other man.

Dacs walked in the reception area on her way to the office and saw a woman standing there looking around.

She watched her for a minute then asked,"I hope you're not lost because I can't help you with that. But if not, can I help you? "

It was not usual that Dacs saw someone other than a MLE employee in reception area and she stop to ask anything. But she was in an ok mood today. So why not?
Coffee in hand and her ever present black back pack on her shoulder, she surveyed to woman.

Not here to discuss work? Okaaaaay..... Wes took the business card and gave it a brief glance and a frown before tucking it away into the breast pocket of his blazer. He didn't often wear suits to work, but today he was glad he had at least put on the blazer. One never knew when people from the Minister's Office were apparently going to pop up...

"I'm confused," he stated bluntly. "And you're going to un-confuse me before you go anywhere else on this floor. Who are you to be working with, and why? Are you a liaison? Are you wanting to meet the MLE liaisons? We're kind of the biggest department here in the Ministry.... so....." He gave the guy a cool stare. "Frankly I'm not sure it's possible for you to work closely with all of my employees."

Erindipity 08-02-2013 03:54 AM

Yep. Damien was on his way out. Not wanting to disturb Wes in his office...

and HUZZAH there he was.

With a wink at Muriel, the lovely LOVELY Muriel, he cleared his throat and leaned against her desk. He would DEF wait until Wes was done, but he did want to have a word when he was free. They needed to catch up anyway. Heh.

Coffee in hand and her ever present black back pack on her shoulder, she surveyed to woman.

Ahh, thank Merlin. Laura had had her work cut out for her with that receptionist. She was right - Muriel wasn't much of a conversationalist. She seemed to much prefer sticking to her work. Which was fine. Laura was sure she was a very efficient receptionist.

Turning toward the speaker who she assumed was addressing her, Laura found herself face to face with another woman who thought she might be lost. Well, no matter. The blonde simply put on a nice smile and shook her head. "No, I'm not lost. So you're off the hook," she said, wondering why this woman didn't know her way around enough to be able to help her if she was lost. Maybe she was new? Well, that was beside the point.

Offering the woman a hand, Laura's eyes darted briefly to the entrance to the reception area, hoping she would see Jasmine walking through. As it was, her coworker was still nowhere to be seen. "My name is Laura Miller and I'm here conducting a survey for the Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection," she said. Well, she would be once her coworker arrived. "At the moment, I'm just waiting for my colleague so we can get started, but if you have a minute, would you mind answering a few questions for us?" she ventured to ask, gesturing toward a couple of seats so they could at least sit down while they waited. Laura really hoped the woman would oblige because she was the only employee Laura seemed to have managed to snag on this floor. Sigh. Maybe more would join them soon.

Dacs cocked her head slightly, regarding the woman and said,"Good. I've been at this ministry long enough to know people still get lost after you give them directions. So, I don't bother anymore." as a smirk tugged slightly at the edge of her lips.

"Miller. Ok from derp. Nice meeting you." she said, giving the woman a strong armed, crisp hand shake. Yeah her job demanded she be physically strong and fit."I'm Dacs, Chief Investigator of MLES. Late is not my cup of tea." Dacs remarked, her hazel eyes steeling to flat discs. She moved around the woman and said, "Come with me. We can sit at my desk. Plus I need my morning coffee before I go vicious on you."
She slipped a sly smirk on her face.

Oh dear. Laura wasn't expecting the strong, commanding handshake the lady ended up giving her. She smiled weakly. "Nice to meet you, Dacs," she said, stretching her hand behind her back. "Yes, this is surprising behavior from Jasmine," she admitted. Her coworker had thus far proven to be a reliable worker. Ah, well. Laura could definitely handle questioning one person on her own. Even if she was a bit imposing.

Laura laughed a little. She didn't think she could survive every day with coffee herself. Might as well have a nice sit-down and be comfortable for the survey. "Sure, sure, let's do that," she agreed.

Expecto-Penguin 08-09-2013 12:20 AM

I'm here! :D

Jasmine finally made it to the second floor. She just had to stop by the bathroom real quick and she had a hard time finding it. After their big lunch before, her small bladder was telling her nature calls. Once she made it she found Laura. Then she noticed she was talking to an employee on the second floor. Jasmine noticed she seemed firm and in control. Jasmine knew how to handle these type of people.

She made eye contact and held out her hand, "Hi i am Jasmine. I apologize for my lateness. It won't happen again." she assured Dacs. She heard her introducing herself to Laura. Plus she heard the threat and Jasmine was getting nervous but she didn't let that show on her face.

She followed suit behind Laura into the room. She was glad she made it somewhat on time.

Level two. She works on level two. Charles was determined to find the name of that charming lady whom he had been thinking about for quite some time. Well, he could ponder on it no more, and had set out for answers. The lanky gentleman arrived on level two and searched the walls for a directory of some sorts. There had to be one, didn't there? With the rooms and names? Perhaps not.

What would he even do with one? Would he recognize the name if he saw it? Who would he ask for? Or about? A stunning woman with brown flowing hair and sparkling green eyes and the most wonderful peal of laughter he had ever heard?

He could try.

Lucky for the lanky man, Rosaline was on her way somewhere when she noticing Muriel wasn't at her desk, and he was just standing there looking.. at the walls. Searching them, if she didn't know any better.

With eyebrows raised, the redhead paused near the front desk and set her coffee cup aside. "May I help you?" She asked, though it very nearly came out as 'Who are you waiting on?'. Normally, that's how it worked around here. Appointments, arranged visits, or emergencies. Rosa was hoping it wasn't the latter. She'd just barely started here, and it was already clear there was no escaping the chaos.

Turning his head, the spindly gentleman found the source of the voice he had assumed to be directed at him. After assessing that the woman wasn't THE woman, he looked away, only to decide that, perhaps, she could, indeed help him. It looked as though Charles did a double-take.

"Ahm," he started, taking a few steps towards her. "I'm looking for someone. A-a woman," he fidgeted excitedly as he talked, trying to line up his thoughts. "I know she works here on level two. She's um..." Beautiful. Graceful. Witty. Marvelous. "She has brown hair and green eyes... She stands about... oh, about this high," he held up a hand to demonstrate what he was thinking, a few inches below six feet. He gave a small laugh, still rubbing his fingers together on one hand.

"I know how marvelously unhelpful that is." Unlike the subject herself. Very kind, indeed, to have offered to help him up from the floor. "I-I-uh... I know she's in charge of something or other on this level, but I can't seem to remember." Charles furrowed his eyebrows in frustration for a moment, glancing at the floor. If only he could remember something else that might help lead him to her. He remembered that she still had her I.D. clipped to her, but couldn't remember anything that was on it, except....

"CMEC!" he snapped his fingers gleefully. "I know she's with CMEC."

And he didn't know her name? Rosaline was assuming, because he hadn't given it to her and chose to describe her. Maybe it was because she worked in the department that she did, but the woman found this odd. Not suspicious, just odd.

Emily? Was he talking about Emily? No.. or perhaps Sky-Light? Or Aubrie? No. None of those women seemed to fit the bill.

"It's a start," Rosa would give him that. Though.. if he didn't know her name - because she was still going with that, - then how did he know her, and why was he here? For a moment, the redhead was going to chalk it up to being assigned work - perhaps this mystery MLE woman was assisting.. whoever this worker was, if he was even a worker, but then he mentioned how he couldn't remember which division she worked under. Eyebrows raised again, but her expression remained cool. Okay. She could work with this..

CMEC.

"Are you positive?" They only had two female workers in CMEC, not that she was about to share that bit of info. "I think I know who you're talking about.. I can send a memo back and request her in the lobby. What's your name, sir?" Rosaline asked, before adding, "And Department, if you don't mind." and plopped herself down in Muriel's seat to find a piece of parchment.

Was he positive? Charles searched his memory, and distinctly remembered seeing the letters CMEC on her ID. But in what context, he was unsure. He nodded his head and his expression lit up when the lady seemed to have made a guess as to who his mystery woman was.

"My name," he repeated, and for a moment had to think about it, as though he wasn't prepared for that question. "Charles Barlowe. B-A-R-L-O-W-E," he spelled, the Irish name sometimes tripping people up. He had dealt with that his whole life, and always had to spell it out for people. "Regulation of Magical Creatures. Level -- Four." He supplied the information with minimal difficulty, seeming distracted and excited at the same time.

"Thank you kindly," he added with no small amount of gratitude.
