Vickers led the way quietly towards the Restricted Section, walking all casual-like as he glanced at the books shelves leading there, making it seem that the carefully rolled up poster tucked under his arm was nothing for the Librarian to take notice of. At least not yet

When he reached the Restricted Area he looked around and, other than the rest of his fellow crusaders, it was completely deserted. Which in normal circumstances he found to be a sad thing, seeing how all those books at the other side of the locked door were so lonely, and how all the minds on this side of the door want nothing else but to be their new best friend. All the more reason why their Crusade was of UTMOST IMPORTANCE.


His hand touched the ropes that cordoned off the section, as if making it all the more obvious that they werent allowed beyond this point. Ah but how convenient it is that the ropes were prominently displayed! Vickers unrolled their poster and set it down on the floor, quietly uttering a duplicating charm over and over until he had a nice thick stack of them. Then he cast a sticking charm at the back of each poster before attaching them on the ropes. Down the rope line he went, sticking his posters one after the other.



He stepped back and smiled happily. Well, this place looks positively festive now.

Louisa was following Vickers all the way from their common room down to the library. Their plans of mobbing the castle with their very important protest posters were taking course finally. She was starting to feel the cold weather creeping into her bones and chest, her annual bad cold would be invading her body soon. Yupee. NOT. Hmph.

Anyways, they got into the library and as stealthily as possible the Ravenclaws made their way toward the Restricted Section... Louisa glancing around frantically for any sign of the librarian. She didn't want a detention AGAIN in the library. Almost running into Vickers, since he stopped without beeping, she took a side step and watched the roped door.

Dang it. She was so pumped to at least open the door and peek inside!

Watching the boy duplicating the posters and applying the sticking charm on them, Louisa started helping by hanging the posters the same way he did. It was a peaceful neat way of demonstrating their protest. Her personal method, though, would be breaking into the section and camping at its door and chanting some encouraging songs.

However, she was too tired to plan for either one of those. She went with Vickers' plan. It wasn't risky and would probably do more good since the librarian cannot not agree on leaving those posters hanging on the ropes.

Once done, she took a wobbly step back and admired their work silently.

Looking sideways at Vickers, she telepathically told him that they should probably go on with their spreading the posters the rest of the school.

The posters on the rope gave West pause when he finally made the desperate and not at all suspicious lunge toward the restricted section. Not much of a pause mind you, he was still able to jump over the ropes in a single bound, but if you happened to have the power to slow things down and watch in slow motion you might have seen him crain his neck and peer at the signs with a puzzled expression. NAH he didn't agree with that!

See if it was free access then there wouldn't be any point of infiltrating aaaaand.... SUCCESS! HE WAS IN THE RESTRICTED SECTION!

West was quick to disappear amongst the darkest of the shelves, and he found a patch where the light hit the ground just so, and framed the stone floor in a way that was perfect for his purposes. The first year ignored the temptation of the whispering and creaking books and knelt down to unpack his backpack and begin the third and final phase of his mission.



Artistic, wasn't he? Arranging flowers and junk wasn't so bad when it was for manly herbology spy purposes. There was no evidence that it was him after all, and he would be SURE to like, elaborate and brag and make it a TALL TALE that involved fighting off zombies (which he was currently learning about for his DADA assignment) and other impressive things. IT WAS SO HARD being an amazing QUIDDITCH GOD on top of all of this.

Satisfied with all his hard work, West stood up, brushed himself off and reclaimed his now empty backpack. A fistpump of success and he was bounding off again, jumping over the ropes which cordoned the restricted section off, and oh-so-innocently wandering out of the library.

Nobody would ever know.
